Who will finally be the Blockchain Leader in the world; USA or China?

Both of countries are going really close by development, I guess the taxation war which is going on between net will just move Blockchain adoption in each of them. But I bet on China, they are more intelligent and not so aggressive like the states.

I don't think this "competition" would be easily be described. Both nations are doing great in their various endeavours. I think blockchain technology has really evolved and I don't think there exist any competition between these two nations. All I can see is great success at the end of the day for all crypto enthusiasts.

When we are talking about products like car, mobile phone, television, etc. we can discuss which country has a bigger market. But blockchain and bitcoin are completely different. No country is the owner of a cryptocurrency. So, there is no competition between United States and China.

Seen the two country many years ago on issues that bother on technology and innovation, USA has always take the lead when such arises, though China has the man power but issues concerning Blockchain must be view with a wider scope which the USA are currently adopting to make it acceptable by all compare to China, so, i give it to USA..

I think China will win, they are very greedy and never satisfied. China controls bitcoin volatility, I think China is the country that makes bitcoin reach $ 20K at the end of 2017.

These two countries have huge impact on crypto. They are head of R&D and spend big budget in innovation area. But finally when you look at the number of citizens and workers, access to energy, government support... China has a little advance and will keep it.

Why there's a need for competition? I know competitions are seriously going to give exposure for those who'll win but in technology it appears that these two are just following each other.

       We cannot predict what will happen with the competition with China and USA .If talking about any other products we can calculate which one is having the biggest market but it is not in the case of blockchain since it does not belong to any country .So according to my opinion there will not be a competition with these two countries for there is no owners on Bitcoin or blockchain .

Whaat do you mean about the concept of winning in the blockchain, It is too hard to say which country will win, as people have the same right to use it , and who take advantage  effectively , recieving more profit

I am sure that China will win in that battle because they are very interested in this technology and do a lot of things to make it progress.

all the nation-states are in competition. that's what geopolitics is all about---it's a zero sum game where a competitor's economic (or military) advantages = a disadvantage for you.

a very important characteristic of modern capitalism is corporate consolidation. market share is generally more important than profitability. this is why the "first mover advantage" can be so important in markets. it's a very dangerous time for governments to actively stymy innovation in a nascent industry that may have massive implications for the future of finance.

i believe this inherent competition among nation-states to capture market share for their industries (and therefore economic growth and prosperity for their nations) is what protects bitcoin and cryptocurrency for being prohibited and persecuted by world governments.

both countries are a great country in my opinion, America is a developed country located outside Asia, while China is now starting to become a developed country, due to its strict leader in criminal cases, so that the economy of the country becomes good. I think the two countries deserve to be called the country with the most bitcoin enthusiasts and deserve to win the blockchain competition

For centery, US has been the technology leader of the world. China has got rapid growth recent years but needs more decades to be as advanced as US. Especially, except Bitcoin and Ethereum, the best public blockchain networks are form US, not China

We could say that it could be a different country aside from the two. From my perspective, the first country to develop a blockchain based system, whether it's for data of information, transactions, etc. from the government, as long as it's incorruptible. The primary purpose that countries should do is to prevent corruption from their own government, no more self-gains, always for the country. I think that's what is important.

Depending also on what is going to be the technology that is going to be applied, if it has real-life applications, it doesn't matter. I think the blockchain technology has a lot of real-life uses, not just being a currency and other stuff.

It is very difficult to explain who will win the Blockchain competition because the competition is very hard. Both are developed countries.

I believed china will have an edge over USA based on the fact that there are many users and adopter of cryptos in Asian continents thus this will ensure rapid development of blockchain technology although the US too will deploy every means to ensure that this technology is well nurtured and adopted being a world power.

I bet on this one here. They are up to take advantage whichever comes out, they do have a platform we can consider theirs because of ADA. And their government are already accepting cryptocurrency ahead than those countries who are still in the process of discussing regulations. Asia is where China and that means it could win due to where the BTC mining companies reside.

I think this stems from China saying they will take over the AI game from the US. Two countries battling it out with technology, and now they're on to blockchain. Honestly, with China's budget reserved for artificial intelligence, they just might "win" the competition, but I won't disregard US just yet. Also, why can't China take care of Asia and the United States will take care of North and South America and MAYBE Europe, too, right? I can see it's possible.

I think China will be the winner. It can be said that China is the country that can determine the survival of Bitcoin, as all of China's economic moves can affect Bitcoin. China has a strong economy, affecting most countries around the world. In addition, China has good infrastructure to support the change of technology.

If there would be a competition between USA and China it would be huge war! The two biggest cryptocurrency holder countries. The China has %30 and the USA has %25 all the cryptos in the world. I could say that the China would win because they are more organized and regular country then USA.

I suppose China will win on the long run. Them contributing a large hashpower in this space plays an important role here. Plus, I believe that there's more whale in China than in US. Not entirely sure how crypto-friendly  are those said countries but I bet U.S. is more strict.

I think China is better than USA. China has a greater ambition than the USA, although the Chinese government banned bitcoin, but the Chinese government has plans to create a digital currency that has the power to compete with bictoin.

China seems to embrace and fear the blockchain technology. The reason why the blockchain is embraced is because the blockchain can help China gain an advantage in future economic competition. China could have been at the top if the country didn't made the ban on the exchanges. Since the ban many exchanges have been shutdown creating a negative impact in the crypto community.
Many miners have been said to close their mining operations. All of this has decreased their potential of being at the top. U.S.A on other hand is keeping on developing when it comes to blockchain and crypto.
Many companies have started to make use of the blockchain technology. If China does not remove the ban then USA with no doubts will win the blockchain race.

Agreed. I think right now China is more focused on their AI projects than mining bitcoins or altcoins. After all, they've got a lot on their plate right now: the artificial moon, facial recognition technology, social credit system and a whole lot more that I don't think they have enough time to focus on blockchain technology.

Blockchain is still thriving more in the United States compared to China and if we are to judge by the current statistics, its safe to say United States is winning this. But in the real sense, there is no conflict between the fwo on blockchain because both countries are proud and would willingly develop a new technology than to start running a rat race of blockchain that none of them can successfully claim credit as the inventor of this great project.

It won't be one or the other. China will likely continue to be a powerhouse for the manufacture of mining hardware, for the same reasons they are significant in the semiconductor/computer chip industry. I think US companies will be significant in the finance, brokerage and exchange space. And I think miners will continue to be significant in both countries.

Both USA and China are the world's first and second largest economies respectively and I don't personally think they are competing on the blockchain. There is nothing exceptional that both countries are doing for blockchain except for their individual citizens involvement in cryptocurrency.

It's really a tough competition between these two. On one hand, America is a multinational country with so many varieties and the moat powerful county, on the other, China is a country with one of the most national unity where whatever they do, they do together. So can't really choose between them.

Both The China and the USA has got enough developer and both of them are working very haed on Blockchain. There is no way of telling who will comw up on the top. While the USA has some cutting edge tech developer, the China has more efficient developers. Only time can tale who will win this competition.

Guys Im working on a project and we had an ICO. Finally we are done with it and I passed a lot of time all over the world, especially in States (New York and San Francisco in most) and in Asia (Tokyo, Shanghai, Hong Kong, Seoul).
And I'm pretty much sure that Asia is times further than states in their crypto market development. Asian guys are much more passioned about crypto and there are much more crypto lovers in all aspects: mining, technologies, trading...

In a few year's time, maybe even just months, I wouldn't be surprised to hear about China taking over blockchain technology, too. I see no competition between these two great countries in talking of Blockchain or Crypto currencies market but i favor the USA as the whole Crypto market is depending and using US Dollar as the center of transactions specially the price values of each coin not Chinese Yuan so for me USA will take the lead of the crypto market performance.

In my opinion this competition will not occur, just as production is produced by each country. But what happens is that both need each other and even support each other for this blockchain technology so that they develop their wings and become more successful.

Is there any competition  between them?  I think both countries are good and has their differences and strengts.  But in this term,  I can't say who will win if there is a competition  because both countries have their good and bad towards the blockchain.  

This is not easy to judge. They have different strategies in their approaches. One is more aggressive obviously because their leader is aggressive while the other is a little more subtle. But if I am to choose, I think I will go for China. The technologies they are developing right now are huge and simply unbelievable that could change the world soon. For me, they are the silent killer in the blockchain technology.

personally in my view, there are 6 strengths with the largest financial infrastructure that contributes to blockchain technology, although this issue concerns the USA and China but as a community I can not ignore Russia, the euro, korea and Japan.

I am sure that the two super power countries will create their own cryptocurrency that will be used for their own citizens and used throughout the world, so it is not competition because the market share is different. The two countries collaborating will be a daunting force for other cryptocurrency.

Blockchain technology is about more than just cryptocurrencies. Japan will be the Blockchain capital and early adopter of this innovation. The whole country and government officials have shown their particular enthusiasm for this new paradigm. The Japanese government in Tokyo has already passed a law recognizing bitcoin as legal tender back in April 2017.

I agree. There is no need to have a competition in bitcoin, or the blockchain. Both of the country,  Ameroca and China, wants to improve the eomomy at thesame time the technology with the help of blockchain. Therefore we can consider they wanted improvements.

What do you mean when. You say who will win? I think it is quite misleading because no one can win blockchain. Maybe you are talking about who will take lead. Well,  first and foremost, they do not really need to compete with it because it is not the thing that need to compete with. They can actually cooperate with each other. But if you insist that removing that variable, I think on a long run china can take the lead. China is more intelligent and more aggressive with these types of situations. But I know United States will not also want to lose it to China and will do also its best to take the lead.

Difficult question, of course two strange very well develop in this sphere but I will risk and I will assume that it will be China.

and that there is an actual competition.

There are many many blochchain projects being developed by many many countries globally.
Ciuntries on  the Asian, European and American continents are all working on projects some
may be duplicates but a lot may also be individually tailored to each country or region.

The two countries China and USA are very strong opponents i think. China is the most popular in real state business in cryptocurrencies although china banning ico a lot of times. In blockchain technology china is growing country from USA. But both of two countries is a big player so exactly one country choosing is very difficult i think.

The vast majority of nations especially developed countries are currently investigating on Blockchain. However, USA and China are on the top of the list competing implicitly to obtain the BLOCKCHAIN LEADER position. I suppose it would finally be China.

It's a tight race but still I give slight advantage to China. I think it's more flexible and despite some issues and struggles with cryptocurrencies in past more eager to fully adopt and implement them along with blockchain technology in many segments of business and industry. They will put a lot of resources in that battle and USA will have to compete constantly.

China has made it clear its stands when it comes to Bitcoin. Bitcoin is banned in China and most of the Mining industries in China have migrated to countries like Canada, South Korea to further the mining business. For now, USA still remains neutral about Bitcoin and this gives USA an upper hand of winning the contest at the end of the day because Bitcoin has a great influence on the entire crypto space.

I mean how will china win the blockchain race if they're banning it in their own country? I guess we know which side they're which is our enemy. If there are only twi choices then I'd choise US but if you look into japan and korea, you'll find that they have better chances then the US in winning the blockchain race.

If they banned bitcoin, its reasonable because it will threat their fiat currency, but there is no reason for them to hate blockchain because it wont make them lose.

I don't think there's a direct face-off between the two economic giant concerning the cryptocurrency sector. Perhaps, you are indirectly comparing projects originated in Europe as against those owns in Asia for instance, ETH Vs NEO or others. Regardless of the context, what we have at best is projects against project and winner will depend on who eventually delivers most value to users.

China knows value of innovative technology on how new technology can support his economy

These two countries are the strongest at the moment, both will continue to compete in terms of technology and economics, in my opinion the first winner will be China because of the rapid development of China and the second in the USA and the third blockchain.

USA will always be the first and China will always be the second. USA has much more influence on many countries so whatever product from the   blockchain platform they endorsed, those other countries will follow especially the small or poor, undeveloped countries.

For me I will go for the USA because China has strong move against cryptocurrency and warn it's people from using or trading. Since America has good relations with cryptocurrency I think it will lead in this battle together with nations that supports cryptocurrency even though some of them has already been regulated but that is only limited to local exchanges where we can buy and sell crypto locally.

Blockchain competition between USA and China is a battle between two world giant. China is the country that I think will win  this battle because the government is interested in the blockchain technology and most bitcoin miner comes from China

I do not really feel, it is a competition between these two in the blockchain industry, and do not think their governments even would want to win, they have different, more realistic "battlefields", crypto will gain more space in more "open minded" countries in my view.

Though we don't know what the future holds, presently now China is more blockchain friendly than USA. There are more blockchain infrastructure in China than USA so China will be the winner.

I was wondering what makes people think like this? No pioneer has remained at the first position forever. Any other countries could surpass USA even in Blockchain technology.

I think the whole cryptocurrency will be the winner with the support of this two powerful countries. The increase of the demand in blockchain will push the price higher and the entire investors who has bitcoin can gain their profits.

Both are a great country which have a great amount of power that could affect the world economy, i believe the most important thing is both are using it then all country will follow and use blockchain technology.

Korea is a very big players aswell, and apart of those three mentioned pretty much the whole world is showing activity in cryptocurrency.

If talking about the widespread use of crypto, I bet on the US. Even though there are new restrictions being adopted to trading and investing in crypto, the US legal system is more loyal to crypto encouraging the citizens to utilize digital coins in their everyday life.

Then for me it is the USA because US pentagon already successfully adapted the blockchain technology to their defense system in which they believed that the blockchain is very strong against cyber attack and hacking. it is hard to tell since both country has its own potential in that said technology, the best thing to do is to develop it and help the market to be known in the world and used it as a mode of transaction, since both country has a better influence than the other it will really affect the market once they are develop it for better.

I think USA will be win the blockchain competition between China because USA has already used blockchain to there system. But interms of higher demand China will be win because there country are have higher population that using cryptocurrency. Also USA is one of the country that have an advance technology, so they will easy for them to adopt crypto.

Not an easy consideration to say which one of these two is concerning more on regulations. USA pursues almost a fixed road to regulate the blockchain, while China is frequently changing the orientation. Neither, bitcoin is going to be the leader and we know that bitcoin doesn't belong to any of those countries, we know that they are the two most powerful countries around the world and they are fighting in every way imaginable and the market of cryptocurrencies is going to be one of the battles that they are going to have, but I will like for bitcoin to remain independent from government control.

I doubt china will be in the top 2 when its all said and done. China keeps on trying to ban stuff related to crypto and just recently published a new desire to stop airdrops as well which they already explained their hatred towards ICO as well. So it means blockchain is improving all around the world while having setbacks when it comes to china, that's why it is hard for china to actually beat any country in blockchain competition.

Certainly not a big country like USA which already has many countries trying to build blockchain softwares to help out corporations on their needs. Blockchain software is now used in many third world countries like carribeans and bahamas and malta and so forth, it is quite soon that it will start to work its way towards first world countries and meanwhile China is just trying to keep its people away from it.

I think there is no competition actually. USA and Chaina both are more ahead in technologically. It will depends on how deeply their people accepting this in their daily life and government helping hands is also main fact here. So time will say who is better at present time.

I see most of comments are concerned about the word "competition" as the vast majority of them is saying there is no competition.
However, I had better mention to a similar competition available in economy between these two countries. We should clarify the fact that this is a kind of implicit, hidden contest among several nations; China and USA as top representative of them.

The Chinese are not making much effort in cryptocurrency and the blockchain. I see the US dominating them in this technology. There is more acceptance of the blockchain technology in US than in China.

The Chinese have already expressed their views when ot comes to crypto currency and opted to ban it in their country resulting in one of the biggest dumps I've seen so far. That being said,i think the US will be ahead on this race because they're more open to crypto currency and actually used it to exchange goods and services.

This contrast is wrong in itself. China and the United States are world-class countries. They will not fail, and the other will succeed. Only common success. There are no losers, and if there are losers, they are weak countries in the economy. Absolutely not between the two countries.

China is likely to win the competition since 1.There are more user base which fueled the success of Alibaba, and Didi. 2. The Chinese government could intervene and gives advantage to the domestic companies, like what they had done in the past to clear the way for monopoly like Baidu or Tencent to grow.

Why not include the rest of the world?
 Maybe the first who implement some blockchain stuff will be some low/poor county with less overmanipulated gov.

I think Japan will win the blockchain competition. Japan has a very friendly attitude towards cryptocurrencies. The government's policy supports the development of cryptocurrencies and blockchains. Japan is another country that is victorious!

I don't really care who will gonna win between these two giant countries in the field of blockchain. All i ever wanted is that i am heading into the right direction as i continue to hodl my crypto assets for a long term.

In terms of innovation, development and design i believe that USA leading their way to blockchain technology but China will follow the lead but with more enhancement of what USA did that they may become world dominance not just globally but also for domestic patriotism. Look what happen to bitcoin mining industry some 5 years ago where it was dominated by European countries but later on China take over and so does with the blockchain technology development USA will lead but shorty after but China will dominate after.

They are both great countries, and I don’t even see any need for such competition because wasn’t meant to be owned by any body of the government, so they wouldn’t try to take control over it. Even if they want to, how exactly are they going to do that? There can’t be two captains on a ship, there can only be one. Actually there is no blockchain fight between them, so no one wins or loses. What happened was a trade war where Chinese products that entered the United States were raised in taxes so that they were not competitive, and China responded with a similar policy. I support USA. We not know any exact thing from China. In my opinion, USE will pass China and win this competition.

Unfortunately, China does not a clear strategy neither on Blockchain nor on other novel technologies. I personally cannot say what exactly China is looking for. However, when it comes to people of China, things changes really. Chinese do usually their best on adapting themselves with new findings, especially if they smell financial taste.

For me these Chinese are not making much things to do or effort in cryptocurrency and also different types of blockchain, so I see the United States dominating them in this technology and getting more types of profit for their countrymen and also I believe that there is more acceptance of the cryptocurrency in technology in US than in China mostly.

But let's face it, China are currently appearing to be far more invested in to crypto than the USA is. So if we are considering crypto related blockchain then China is streets ahead of where the USA is and it's going to be hard for them to catch up. But major corporations in each country are already adopting blockchain technology. I've always believed that the adoption of blockchain's is going to be driven by the private sector rather than the public sector.

I think China is the leader of cryptocurrencies in the world at the moment and will stay as a leader in the future. Even the Chinese government does not accept BTC, everyone knows that they are supporting cryptocurrencies. One day maybe they will use them as a USD dollar alternative.

It is very difficult now to say who can master the blockchain technology faster, China or USA, I would say at the moment China is ahead, because they seem to have begun to change laws for the better way about cruptocurrency so that they can work with cryptocurrency and learn the blockchain technology at once USA still has a very negative attitude with cryptocurrency and thus to the blockchain, so at the moment I think they are lagging behind. If China didn't decide on banning crypto currency in their soil then I'd have to say that China will dictate the market on crypto currency hands down. But if it just cones down to US and China then I'd say the US wikl be ahead. I mean I've seen stores using crypto currency in the US rather than in China (since it is banned)
