Title: Do you have a backup plan? Suggestions please
Post by: rinealah23 on November 22, 2018, 08:12:32 AM
I have never seen so much anxiety before. With scams all around, the market going down, so many uncertainties, how to cope up from all of this when you can't be sure about your investments?

Do you keep a backup plan? How do you manage when things go down in crypto?

My plan is stoping trading and investing, go camping or travel to somewhere. And my best choice is keep going on doing bounty campaign.  :D

No backup plan, I live my life like it's the last... just kidding, offcourse, I try to forget all that bloody market, but since I don't get any bountyes done, no payment, since market is red, some bountyes won't finish, because they can go bankrupt, even before they go out on the market, some are waiting for market to recover... and thus, a lot of ICO's/bountyes are being called a scam, since they don't get payment when bounty is over...

Well to be honest nothing works in such dominating bears, so its better to stay away from market unless you can do some leverage trading but remember that can yield even bigger losses, one friend is suggesting to do bounty campaigns but even bounty campaigns are badly effected by bears and rewards have been small nowadays.

You should have had a back up plan long before you invested in to cryptocurrencies. It was foolish to do so otherwise. For most people it's a job or some savings that they have tucked away. Expecting the market to always be kind was a fallacy.

Do you keep a backup plan?
Yes, I do always have my back up plan if my crypto investments are going to be rekt but it will take forever before that happens. Don't you believe that crypto is the future?
How do you manage when things go down in crypto?
I'm thinking of the good things that crypto gave to me especially those times when the market was ATH. I bought many things with it and that taught me a lot of lessons that this market is going to have the full blast and in opposite it can also give me temporary disappointment.

You just simply weigh on what is more productive or on how will you cut your loses. You just have to accept that you made a bad decision but if you want to keep on holding then do it. Sometimes I just sell or trade my bad investment then invest into another one.

Well my back up plan is buy more rather than waiting for it to go up again because by doing so you would already gaining your losses not only loss but you would also gain profits if you will be doing short upswing tradings.

In the first place , if you had an exit strategy for your investment, you would not have any anxiety. The best investors have plan and they don't invest any more than they can lose.

hello man, i hope you find this message because you really really need it in my opinion. You know man, that anxiety you're experiencing right now came from not knowing what you really do. There's a very good reason why a lot of people say that 90% of investors/traders looses money right ? You really need to go to the sideline first and study. I recommend learning market cycles and learning how to invest fundamentally. coz man, If you just know that this is the time to buy. And i know you already heard that we need to but the dip and sell the top but it is really hard to do because of emotions. Let your emotions go away and start studying what you are doing. That's the best advice i can give, it will not be easy believe me. remember that 90% of investors/traders fail, and that number is not a joke. It really depends on how you react right now. Chose to study please. Not to give up.,

There is no backup plan for me as i adhere to the "invest only the money you can afford to lose" saying. No matter what will happen to crypto in the future at least my mind is set that i will not take it hard. That's the main problem to most of us here in cryptosphere, thinking that we will be rich quick so they invest money which is compromised and with so much expectation but the reality is opposite.

well my back up plan is to start purchasing other altcoins with potentials, most especially exchange Tokens, such as Digitex, Classy and the rest of them. So of them are quite cheap at the Moment.

Honestly, I don't have a backup plan I am very much used to this scenarios, the price will always go back but if you invest at an all-time high there will be full of anxiety, you cannot manage your losses, if you entered at the wrong time, but if you faced so much frustration you can sell anytime.

i dont think having a backup plan make sense here, you only just have three options you either sell your coin to stop lose, or you buy more coins for better return, and last you just hold and sell your coins at high price.

I am already in poverty and the market is volatile at this moment so I will hodl and wait until the price goes up. I don't want to afford more loss in this ridiculous market value.

With this direction, you can develop and earn as well.I will wait for the market to recover-here's my backup plan.I have enough long-term and perspective coins in my portfolio. Also, as far as possible, I will continue to invest in interesting projects-despite the market

my backup plan is to wait until the market returns to normal.
for a while I won't buy anything, just holding back my previous investment. I thought it was the best decision because there was nothing more I could do but wait for the market to recover as before.

In every invesment that we made we back up plans incase what happen now marker down the value and our money too. And every investment you made is only extra money and better to have extra money for the back up plans to buy bitcoin and altcoins.

I sold 80% of my crypto assets, there is no loss, but I didn't catch a lot of profit, like some people. Desire to buy is missing, sit in dollars and watch. There are still some tokens received in the bounty. Temporarily trading on the stock exchange. If we take the situation in General, such an outcome should be expected. People bought into the hype, all the channels around shouting HODL, all of them listen and hold tight to their assets. Therefore, such a panic mood is the only way to shake out of us all our crypto assets. Who in dollars there is that good, do not fall into a trap because before the real growth will be more than enough.

Always have it at the back of your mind that in crypto things like these are bound to happen that is why you should not put all your money in crypto, my fiat saving and crypto investment are 50/50 that is why i am less concern when market collapse because i have fiat backup.

You've never seen so much anxiety before, because you probably haven't been in crypto for a long time (and the fact that you're newie here confirms my suggestion). Just open the BTC/USD chart and you'll see that it was -94% in Nov-2011 and -85% in Nov-2014. And now we have only -79%! Bitcoin is becoming a stablecoin, haha.
Just imagine how much anxiety was there during the previous "crushes".

My basic backup plan is to hold my token whenever the price goes down. And my backplan with this current market is I will do scalping so I can earn money with this market. The reason why I manage it is I stay calm and I always think what I will and I always manage my emotion especially with bear market.

Remember this when your potfolios get a big pump and then just try to liquidate all of your tokens and waiting for the bottom. To sold your coin is not the best way but at the same itme to trade on this market is very risky. Remember just try to do a thing that gives you less risk.

I simply don't trade now no matter the temptation. I mostly concentrate on bounties even that too isn't profitable now, and adding more knowledge now as it's very easy to get trapped in a trade now. Wait till the market gets back on track.

I suggest to go for a walk, jogging, forget about crypto for a while then come back. This crypto addiction habit will cause just stress and depression ...and therefore, you'll notice people are talking shit all around. So go meditate, pray and relax. I really mean it. REST for a while.

this doesn't happen only to you, we all experience the same thing especially for those who have many assets. this makes us broken hearted, very painful. I think the expectation is that in the following year, as Q4 progresses in this downward trend, it might help market recovery.

Everyone's back up plan is simple and basic. Which is cashing out when on profit and buying back when the dump is back.
Very easy and straightforward but it entails you to have alot of coourage and strenght.

Another option is too sell half of your held tokens when in profit, then you be at an advantage to buy back when its dip.
Whichever decision you make is your decisions to make.

I really don't have a backup plan at all but I also do not have a second option to be considered a backup plan. I am currently working for bitcoin and getting paid in bitcoin for my work and if anything happens to my work I literally do not have any income source and would have some terrible months until I finally manage to find a normal work to go and make some money.

This post reminded me that I need to find a second source of income or at least apply to some jobs in order to get a more stable life, crypto space is amazing and I am very thankful to it because it provided me with a lot of money and a chance to stay at home for the past 2 years and make money without ever going to work but I don't think I can continue like this for a long time.

Yes, I have plan when I will make move in my money. I divide everything to my need so that I can trade some excess from it. If we have plan whenever we do a certain thing, there is a big chance to make it successful. Planning is a guide that we need to do so that we accomplish anything. If are plan does not effect then we must have another plan. In life, we should be advanved to what will happen to us. If we do not have plan then assume that our journey will become hard.

If you believe in crypto market and in its recovery - it's easy. You can hold or invest in some perspective tokens in order to earn on it when the market will tart rising.
If you'll sell everything now you will lose a lot and it makes no sense at all..

There is no reserve plan, so everything is built here only according to the plan that we have today, if it exists at all, it usually turns out that there is no plan and now in most cases people just don’t understand what to do.

I don't keep a backup plan. when the price drops in the market like what is happening right now what I do is keep holding it for a while, until it shows a significant development if I have enough capital to reinvest, I can take advantage of the price situation in the market today to invest and I make a long-term investment to get the benefits that I hope for.

Yes, in this crypto world that is so hard, we need a backup plan.
As we know that many incidents that are unpredictable and take place do not match what we hope for.
A backup plan will help us avoid risk. So make a backup plan and we will be part of success.

Yes I do really have a back up plan in times like this when we cannot trust all those crypto currrency paying activities to support our daily needs so having a back up plan during this time is the most logical decision to make because we don't really know if when will be the time if crypto currency will ever rise up again so my back up plan is to continue working on my daily job in order to stay afloat.

now I can only hope that the market will recover soon and refresh my brain.

Just don't put all of your money in crypto.
You still have the option , when you've obtain some profit on crypto , just spend it on other things like gold or other legit investment.
We all know that cryptocurrency is risky and volatile market !

Personally, before this occurrence, i had perceived it was going to come to this. Then that made me to sell all my major coin and wait until i am sure the market has stabilized. Presently, as i am communicating with you, i have not bought back, but i am planning to do that anytime soon.
I am not saying i do not have any coin i am holding, but that i sold the major ones that could affect me if the fall is prolonged, hut presently the market has seriously fallen and it is almost time to buy back.

Crypto becomes a life problem when you depend on it without having business as a backup plan for bills payment. If you are not dependent on crypto then this is the time to focus on your other business or job and get back to crypto when things look a little better.

I completely agree with you, if we are dependent on crypto it's only our luck and time will benefit us. Else you cannot afford to do this as everyone have personal expenses which cannot be guaranteed here.

When people are depressed and desperate to leave the market, it is time for a new growth cycle. New investors will be attracted to enter the market.

My backup plans is diversification of portfolio which i have been practicing since i got into the world of cryptocurrency. I bag some Altcoins into my wallet to hodl for the raining day. Some of these coins have grown to appreciative level were i can sell them off to make gains. So, next time try to diversify your investment....

About the plan, it depends on ourselves. Some of us maybe have a backup plan and maybe some don't. Having another business is the best choice for a plan when the price is not in a good condition like now, but if you don't have it now then it's OK. You can start it in the future, when you get some profit from crypto. For now, just wait and research another project while waiting :)

I make my wallets more secure as it is the only thing in crypto that we totally possess. In this case, we should be responsible enough to handle our transaction even though there is a lot of scam project, better to learn in smaller case then learn from a big transaction.

if you are a real investor, then with this condition what you should do is blunt coins potentially at a low price, then wait until the price returns to the price of ATH. and by choosing a longterm project is a good choice

It is always very hard when money is concern. But let's go back to basic try not to be greedy. We must not invest all our savings in order not to lose it all. No one can suffice the emotions when losing but at least you have the plan B becs. You still have some money left.

You can backup coins or buy other coins to anticipate that your main coin will decrease in price and find it hard to make a profit, so with other coins you can get profit even though the results are no more than your main coin

I bought bitcoin and altcoin using the money left over from my needs, so I did not mind if my money was lost and not returned,
but if my investment grows, then of course it's an advantage for me and I would be very happy if the cryptocurrency continues to exist for the next 10 or 20 years
even though I am not so serious, and do not backup my investment assets, I am still happy with cryptocurrency

You can not have a backup plan on the crypto market because it is very unpredictable to make a backup plan. When investing, just as the market has big fluctuations, you should invest only extra money that you do not use for your daily expenses. Thus, the investment can be long-term, without immediate expectations. However, in order not to always be afraid of losing, you can invest only the money you received from the reward campaigns. However, we can consider a reserve plan, patience. Waiting until the market returns.

Diversification is always a good thing, especially as speaking of sources of income.

My backup plan has been to not spend more money on crypto than I could afford and to also diversify my financial interests when it comes to crypto.  In other words, I started out interested in mining (and still am), then got into trading coins I think were worthwhile.

I think if people did not invest money they couldn't lose in the first place there would be less anxiety and people would just leave their investments in place until the market turned back around which it always has.  It may be 2021 before we see really good returns but that is just the market cycle.

My backup plan is never put all the eggs in one bag. If you invest your money, don’t put everything in one coin. Spread your investment in different places and if one is down, there might be another one still up. I don’t have much trading experience, so I don’t do too much daily trading at moment. I also only invest very small amount money each time, so I don’t worry too much if I lose.

I am a full time bounty hunter and a crypto trader but now earnings are almost nil and to be very honest I am thinking to look for a part time job and will take a 2-3 month break from crypto market. We have to earn livelihood anyhow to run our families even I have full faith on cryptocurrencies but on the other hand its a bitter truth we need money to meet out our daily expenses.

The backup plan is of course with bounty campaigns, traders, or maybe investments in the real world by buying property or maybe starting a business selling bread or food and the like, never give up, there are still choices we can make. Be a winner for yourself or forever you will be trapped in the same puddle

Always to have an options, backup plans needs to be set before you fully invest your money, diversions and allowing yourself to adjust each time you see
some failures with your first attempt, if you have a good strategy and plans while you are in this investment you will be able to survive and keep yourself
working properly and not to lose your entire investment, always need to be in a safe side though risk are there you have some good chances not to lose too much.

Just sit back and relax, if you can buy more while it's cheap now to increase your stack that's good.

The problem is that most of us don't have money now, as we've already sold our houses in Jan to buy BTC when it costed $20k, haha. I'd suggest to sell now, and then buy back when the price will go deeper (and I believe it will). Holding is a strategy that doesn't work now, unfortunately.

If the price keeps on falling due to bearish market then better to hold your top ranked and promising assets as what is the point of selling them at low now in which for sure it will just lose your investments but if your Altcoins are no activity and no promotion so that people will be attracted to invest in the future then consider it a crap coins and better sell it right away to minimize your losses.

at least in crypto don't just focus on one thing only. When one area gets a stalemate so should be able to cultivate to find other ways to stay productive on the crypto. When prices fall like this example certainly should be able to find other ways to be able to produce such a small spike harness for trade.

when the price of crypto coins goes down there are some good choices to make, if we still have coins we may be able to hold the coin in a longer term until the market situation is truly recovered and certainly until the price of the coin has exceeded the price at when buying.
and also when the price of crypto coins is experiencing a decline like now, this could be an opportunity for us to buy some coins because of the low price of coins, and there are still a number of other options that are right to do when the market conditions are like this.
