Don't you feel like once the bitcoin price goes up, the main holders will be the banks and large financial institutions?

It is very likely that it is through banks, investment funds and other whales that the price is now falling so that they can buy coins at low prices. The problem is that nobody known what "low price" is ...  ::)
It is good, that now Bitcoin is more popular, so comes more whales. This will probably mean that the next bubble will be much larger than the previous one.

that is what is commonly called the pope, because when prices rise and demand rises, most holders will be able to control the market by selling their property in large quantities and then a dump occurs. well, at least when this is happening, it's possible.

There are some conspiracy theories going around that the latest drop in the price was due to manipulation by large financial institutions, because they want the price to go down, so that they can buy coins at a much lower price, before it starts to spike again in the near future.

We will never know if some insider trading are done or if someone knows about something that might push the Bitcoin price to the moon in the near future and these people might be behind the latest price drop.

I believe that manipulators were involved in the current bearish dip and these could possibly be the big whale investors and banks with bigger amount of btc investments. They wanted btc market to further drop as these whales will be buying more at a lower price and probably would sell when btc is up again. Definitely, I believe that btc market will further rise in the coming months and people should worry too much for it will recover soon.

I don't think so. in many countries banks are actually prohibited from investing in bitcoin so they legally can not do it and I don't think they are going to go through the pain and risk of doing it illegally and through different channels. so when price goes up you shouldn't expect "banks" to have large amounts of bitcoin.

as for "financial institutions", that is a maybe. because most of them don't want to invest in bitcoin but only they want to be involved with bitcoin in a way that they don't take risks while they make money. for example an exchange is a place where they make money while they don't risk anything when price drops. that is why there have been a lot of "fund mangers", "investment institution",... in the past year.

Some banks here in my place still don’t support cryptocurrency so I think they really own nothing. All I know is that, when the price of bitcoin goes up I earn a lot and this is why I keep on holding and waiting for the next bull run because no matter how low the price is, pumping is still inevitable.

No I am not agree with you. But they have opportunity to avail if they want. Most of banks and institutions are reluctant in adopting crypto currency. One have to take initiative, Pioneer bank or institution will be have benefits in long run because initially they have to suffer with a lot of things to streamline things. There were many projects/ICO on blockchain banking system but if is not successful yet, like forty seven bank. They have to educate their customers as well to adopt crypto currency. 

Of course, for anyone who has a lot of coins, they have the opportunity to become a bank and they can control the market so easily. even they can do the price manipulation process very easily. pumping and dumping will be a process that can be done. and of course that they do this to make a profit.

Big players would rule the market and it is all the same in every market not just for cryptocurrency.. And there is small players that they usually loose unless they are lucky. And there are many panic seller too, who makes the big players work very easy. This is how the system works and it will continue just like that.

This is why it's scary sometimes to get into something that large corporations seem to want to partake at. Though bitcoin is decentralized, it still is susceptible to be bought by whales. Sometimes it's better to invest in something that is used for crowdfunding.

If you were launching a big exchange like BAKKT or an ETF that you knew is going to get approved, wouldn't you try lowering the price to get some cheap coins before the rush begins? A bear market gives these people a golden opportunity because it's very easy to manipulate scared investors. Yes this is the best time to buy bitcoin because I think the base line for bitcoin market price has been establish already. 3K + USD was the cheapest market price for crypto being recorded for 2018. It is possible but I don't think banks will really move to bitcoin as of now due to problems with the market. But should they use bitcoin it is more likely to happen. It only needs a little fix and some minor adjustments to make bitcoin usable to banks. Banks can have their own settings for usage of bitcoin and and maybe they might just use it for transaction purposes without much consideration for value. So it is really possible.

Seeing this condition is indeed a little better, and certainly by opening your eyes and positive thinking then the things that are expected to happen. You have a really little percent of bank clients who are depositing their savings for a very long period of time. For that we should be patient and keep holding the bitcoin that we have, because indeed Bitcoin has a bright future where in time I am sure that the price of bitcoin will rise again much higher than the previous price.

The price of bitcoin is declining because of its different factors. Even its price s declining, it creates many opportunities to people like us to buy more bitcoins at cheap price.

Now Bitcoin price only 3600$+ and new crypto holder or a trader never believe that bitcoin price was 20000$ in 2017 .Yes its right because when i was started crypto trade or bitcoin in 2017 always see bitcoin price more and down low and people cannot when bitcoin price up but all people are shocked and left this crypto world

Bitcoins true value is never going to be 20k as it was over a year ago. It cannot have such value when there's barely real use of it.

Of course I understand that. The more valuable Bitcoin will be, the smaller number of ordinary people will have it. Large investors are already accumulating it. Therefore, I believe that you should not lose the opportunity to earn money on Bitcoin now and gradually accumulate it.

Maybe if we change the question it has sense.

Banks will not stay away from this madness. Their business is the money and the ones who don't join to bitcoin will regret for life

If that happens for sure many of the bitcoin holders surely will instantly become rich. I knew majority of the bullish so far are waiting for the

arise of bitcoin and of course including me too. Besides, bitcoin is not a type of financial institution instead it is a decentralized based system.

Everything happens as always. Richer and more powerful people take away all that is valuable and enrich themselves at the expense of ordinary people. I have long come to terms with this situation. That is why I now strive to earn in the crypto market as much as possible. I also accumulate promising and valuable crypto currencies.

JP Morgan's CEO, Jamie Dimon was stating that Bitcoin as a fraud to drop prices. On the other side JP Morgan's family office was busy buying Bitcoin on it's dip.

Why did JP Morgan say their employees that whoever will buy Bitcoin will be fired? It is simple.

Even if those banks and financial institution are behind those things that you are talking about and whether they are behind Bitcoin or not, this technology and innovation that was created by Satoshi Nakamoto will continue to grow and more people will be adopting it and will admire its use and benefits to the society.

Definitely correct, Imagine those Crypto hodlers that bought Bitcoin from the year ranging 2010 to 2012 when the price of Bitcoin is extremely lower compare to its price today. We don't know if those bankers are hodling a huge amount of Bitcoin today and I agree that they hodl some but not as huge as the whales are hodling.

Big investors are entering right now, at the bottom. When the price go up above 6k, only retailers will buy from big investors that sell during the bull and then start accumulating during the bear again.

I don't think banks will own big amount of bitcoin. As far as I know banks don't like cryptocurrencies. So how can they be one of the highest bitcoin holders.

The banks do not need to own huge amount of bitcoins, but I believe some of the senior executives working in a bank might be accumulating bitcoins slowly, the price of bitcoin is low now and some people might feel it is a good time to start accumulating bitcoins before the next bull run starts.

If you look at the crypto market and the sharp decline in bitcoin prices to date, there are many who play in it. In the end when bitcoin prices rose, I saw that the holders were mostly banks and large financial institutions, because they were able to buy as much bitcoin as possible and hold it for a certain period of time until the rise in bitcoin prices rose. For me, the most important thing is how I can take advantage of the current situation against the crypto currency and then be able to get a big profit when the price of bitcoin experiences a high jump.

Thats it atleast we have assurance about the safeties of the market since these institutions wont let their capital losing.and besides who do you expect to have large investments here?we as normal people whos only have enough money for living?or some businessmen which afraid of dealing with crypto?i dont know what OPs problem but for me this is the best security cryptonians wmight have for now

On the contrary, right now, when the price is down, large investors are trying to accumulate as many bitcoins as possible, in my opinion. I think this is more logical. Why should big investors buy bitcoin when it will be expensive?
But I clearly feel that sooner or later large investors will have the bulk of bitcoins in their hands.

It can happen for some extend big investors can act as banks and large financial institutions but the problem is will those large investors keep there bought bitcoins if the price goes up significantly and I think majority will do that so again there will be a balanced situation in the bitcoin ownership but because large owners could make a considerable effect on the market there will be a power unbalance in the market and that might be a problem for small investors and traders because market manipulations is very possible in such situation
