Every post of warning - which came to be true - was not believed. Now I see a clear change in this forum with many people now agreeing that Bitcoin is in a bad place and unlikely to recover combined with stories of people who are now realizing that they have lost a lot of money for nothing. And for the fools out there who say "if you do not sell you have not lost anything" - clearly they must be the most stupid of "investors" in the world. Don't invest more money than you can afford to lose. Do not borrow money to invest. Remember: a lot of people go broke trying to out-guess the market, whereas buy-and-hold has been a very rewarding strategy so far. I have seen many in here who ignored my advice to get out and "bought the dip" at 16.000, at 12.000, at 10.000, at 8.000 and at 6.000. Clearly not a very rewarding strategy.... You can't weigh them in for scrap or even use them as a doorstop. The dot com bubble did break lots of people. Amazon lost 90% of its peak price when the bubble burst but today its shares trade at more than 70 times times that peak. Lots of other Dot Com company's are also now worth 100 times plus what their peak price was prior to the Dot Com crash. Crypto will survive and grow. the question is which coins are the good investments and which ones will become worthless. For now my money is on Bitcoin, maybe it will change in the future and I will change my investment at that point but with the amount of institutional money going into bitcoin now, this would be a very bad time to sell. One can go the other way and one can make their own way. You don't have to brag that you were right in the first place. There are people giving up with btc and immediately do panic selling but there are also remaining people that really believe in the potential of btc and preferred to stay and hold their btc while waiting for the recovery and bull market that may take place anytime soon.

I can see the folks worrying about its price drop but many still believe it would recover anyways. Because it will recover. There are two ways to look at it. You can look at the price and nothing else, and this will probably tell you to sell, or you can look at the technology and if Bitcoin got worse this year. It did not. It's the same Bitcoin people were paying 4-5000 for in the most part of 2017 and the same Bitcoin that traded for 6-7000 only months ago. If the price changes without a reason you should know it's stupid to follow the crowd and sell. If you invest in cryptocurrency only for the profits, you need to wait another 3 years probably to recover your money. But if you invest in cryptocurrency because you believe in their technology then you are in a good position, I personally believe that most projects have the same goal and this is looking like a dot-com bubble. I should advice everybody to take a step back and look at the project they have invested in, is it really worth your money, can this project really be mass adopted? While you give yourself hope of recovering, it keeps going down. I won't advise anyone to sell or hold. Personally I don't hold bitcoin at this time. I made my decision base on my research and findings.

It actually went against the normal behavior of bitcoin because there is always price correction whenever there is a sliding in price for bitcoin. What had hapen in the recent activity on crypto market it not something to be surprise with. it had happen before, market is very Volitile, It is unpredictable, investors choices when they hold on to their investment with Bitcoin because they believe that Bitcoin will rebound back from the huge drops, it may be interpreted Stupid thing to hold on but i would say its a calculated risk that investors is taking, beside it his or her investment. she or he can do nothing about it, that's he's own decision. I think Bitcoin will hold primarily as a store of value, and maybe another coin will replace it. I think both Ripple and Stellar have this capability.
