Actually people's learn from mistake. Those mistake I did began, I am realizing now. That's why I want to share it. Perhaps everyone will not agree with me. Every traders have few favorite coins. It's normal fact, but don't love too much any coin it's my logic.

I don't want to mention but I have lost many btc just one coin. Just think it will go more up and didn't sold. In a result price dropped 4X. So I want to say don't love any coin, just sale when you are in profit and go another coin or wait for drop price again and buy it. It's very difficult to recover once drop an Altcoin. One more thing, don't invest your all fund on single coin. It will loss more, who know it will up or drop.

You're right, but from my point of view, besides investing in a coin, it's ok and try to trade at the same time.

The general idea is do not mix emotions when trading.
Always judge based in the foundamentals and the technicalities.
Although when a coin meets all your criteria and lives up to it's potentials, you are likely to get excited and get attached to it. But always control your emotions.

I agree. I am almost able to do it. My enthusiasm for crypto influenced me to not act on my rational knowledge of when to sell and buy. Each missed cycle I learn a little more and become a better investor.

The best piece of advice you gave is in the last line - I believe this is true for bitcoin or any alt-coin. Diversification is key for success.

The rest of the advice is true as well it's just not so simple to follow because knowing when to buy or sell is tricky and it's hard not to grow attached to coins you believe in and that provide you with success.

Really, one of my bad experiences is that I have lost more than 60% of my funds when I invest in one coin (I will not mention it), even though we believe that the coin will have good potential at least we keep saving funds or buy other altcoins so the losses we get are not too big.

I also faced a situation like you. Although the price was 95$ at the end of last year, I did not sell and wait for my favorite coin and I sold it worth of 2$ in August. But if I had not sold compulsorily, I had to sold it for 0.60-0.70$ now. lol. It is also better to diversify some of the money into stock or Forex instead of just crypto.

Yes true it's better to hit and run, even though we love it but when loss the coin doesn't care. You say don't put all the money into single coin, that means we have to put it into a few coins. Isn't this way just going to make confused? because there are too many coins to monitor. On the other hand, if the price of all the coins goes down simultaneously will loss more.

The problem with altcoins is that most of them are just pump-and-dump scheme. And since we entered a bearish trend, every activity now and easily spotted that's why majority have lost their love affair with them just like what you're describing.

I wouldn't say though that we need to 'love' it, we don't need emotional attachment, but rather logical and a well planned trading strategy specially in this kind of market we have been witnessing so far.

I partly agree. It completely depends though, if you're planning on just making profit short term profits, or if you just want to buy bitcoin right now because you're bullish long-term and currently forget about it and do something else. The strategy of selling BTC when it goes high to be able to buy at a lower price isn't a bad idea per se, but a lot of people simply aren't just good with handling their emotions when making trades.

I think that depends, I personally never put all the funds for just one coin even though I like these altcoins. Recently I also put funds on an altcoin that is still developing and it hasn't become popular, but after I bought it the coin lost its value or the price fell. It's often happened so I think it's normal because I just need to wait for the market to recover even though I have to be patient for longer, but most importantly I don't lose out on my investment.

Thanks for sharing your tips. Agree that, no one can know when altcoins go up, I also claim benefit when target reached. Hold altcoins are high risky but they can give us higher profits but I am not a luckyman.  ;D ;D

I think we've all both lost and gained from either hodling or selling off.
That's one thing with giving advice on trading matters,there is always someone who has gained from that which you're advising others not to do
But nonetheless your advice is cool and it's true to an extent,its best to sell when you're in profits.
And most times its always healthy to own more than one coins,its more like putting your eggs in numerous baskets

Trading alt coins is like a double-edged sword. They are great because in a bull market they can go up 100x or so. But in a bear-market they are bad because they can lose 99% of its value very quickly.

Many reasons for that, the most common one is lack of liquidity. Hence the reason why they go up so fast and why they come down so fast. BTC has many exchanges and lots of coins in circulation, so that's why it usually didn't go up as fast as some altcoins.

This is so true, and I learned my lessons but still sometime I am caught up again. Altcoins is very volatile especially token wherein its effect of price is huge when bitcoin slumps. Just hat happen this bearish season, almost 80% or more losses.

It is a wise thing to know when to get out but you shouldn't really be hard on your self, I think most altcoins is down more than X4 at this market stats, a lot of us got hit by surprise whenever we say ok that's it this is the bottom things get more down, set a new bottom we buy and say that's it and again new bottom, in this current market stats it is really not wise to blame yourself.

Of course, people often see it as a safe haven to stay at their coins and end up losing it. If I have to join a bounty and get my salary I would sell it immediately.

I think what you are describing is not about having a favorite coin. the problem is that some people are not trading but convince themselves that they are and that causes the problems. if you are investing then you must have a favorite coin, invest in it then ignore its fluctuations if you truly believe in its future even if you are wrong.

if you are trading then you can still have a favorite coin but holding on to that favorite coin when it is starting to drop is the mistake and then selling it when the drop has ended is an even bigger mistake and the biggest mistake is selling but not buying back when the drop is over!
you see, these little things are making the big differences. and I think people have to decide what they want to do. if you want to trade then be a trader and that requires being active in the market and going in and out as fast as possible.

Diversification is the right option which is good for traders and investors but putting in all the eggs in one basket the end result is tantamount to looses. Last year, some of my investment in altcoin worth $800 but i refused to sell hoped to sell at 1000$ plus but unfortunately a month latter it dropped to $300 and at the time of this post it dropped down to 50$ worth.

It's impossible to exit with a satisfied state of mind. If you sell at $100 and the price pumps further to $150 you'll regret having sold and are likely to buy back in at those higher levels to make sure you don't lose out again.

Trading and investing are psychological events mostly netting nothing but disappointment. The only way for you to be satisfied with what you do is to sell the top and see the price tank hard from that point.

I gave up on trading and short term investing because of that. It's really not worth it. I rather keep accumulating and hodl through every correction and bear market to end with much better results a year or two later.

yes, everyone be free to invest or trade with several altcoins, but we really need to be able to do research on the altcoins we want to invest, so we really need to be careful when choosing altcoins for us to make long-term investments, different like we do day trading, which if we already have profits we can sell it and can buy other coins or we can wait again when the decline, profit or loss depends on each of us who run everything.

That's good advice for any trader in any market, actually.  I've seen stock traders fall in love with certain stocks to the point that they hold onto them until the company goes bankrupt and they lose everything.  And as far as crypto goes, I'm not sure how anyone can get attached to any of the new shitcoins coming out, because IMO they're all just a bunch of garbage and I have yet to hear of one that has any advantage over bitcoin or even ETH. 

I agree, emotions are liabilities to any trader, and they normally appear as greed or fear.  As to your second point, how the hell does one judge the "fundamentals" of a shitcoin?  Most are just ripoffs of something better, and I think all the good ones have already been created.  If and when something comes along that's better than bitcoin or ETH, by all means invest in it.  Until then any money you put into the shitcoin market is just gambling.  There aren't any fundamentals to analyze as far as I'm concerned.

Whatever coin you buy in a falling market it is simply impossible to make a profit. Learn how to trade and your investment at least will not be lost in huge quantities. Fixation of losses, control of your deposits-will help you to save your money much better than the position to buy and hold until the last.

Yes that's definitely right. It's like you're putting your emotions into it thus you're attracting the number one enemy of trading and investing which is emotion. Those successful in money related things are experts in controlling their emotions as well as the emotions of others. Just always be objective in any trades that you want to enter into.

If you love long term this is the place you can have. Just be prepared whenever price goes up or go down. Analyze every coins you really wanted to keep. Yes Diversification is the key.

I agree with you where a trader must be more realistic about changes in potential coin trends because they need profits, loyalty to a coin will disrupt the analysis and decision making in trading and that has happened to me, where I bought NANO in the middle of 2017 when it is not worth , then they increased rapidly until the end of 2017 and the value reached $ 36 and I am profitable thousands of percent. I am too loyal to coins and greedy so that I do HOLD until October 2018, coins and communities only give a value of $1-3 for NANO and that hurts me. but by trading I am more aware and realistic where a trader plays a little different than a loyal investor in crypto

That depends. I mean, yes, there are so many altcoins that are losing value and are dying out day in and day out. However, we should remember that although Bitcoin is the movant and the main coin that affects the market, it's the Altcoin that gives it life and vibrancy, plus it is actually the one that supplies all movements in the market since most people are hellbent in holding their Bitcoins until the last minute. If not for Altcoin movements, I think the market have died way before, so if you feel that they are useless now, I suggest you just find those that have better chances of prospering.

That's why we need targets every time we make a buy order. And as soon as our target is reached, we get the profit as planned, we have to sell it as soon as possible. And then wait for the next entry point to start making another buy order with another target. If we continue to hold our coins while the price has jumped significantly, then we can lose momentum. If the meaning of 'love' is to keep coins, no matter what happens, then I'm not the type of person like that.

I also experience this one and its really because after holding on that coin, the profit is gone forever, its really hard for an altcoins to bounce back so I support this one, don't ever hold coins for good always set your target price and be true on that. Always set limits, whether its a buying or selling price because in this market volatility is very high and there is no constant aside from change. Don't get too much emotion in every coin, remember that your goal is to make profit and not to lose big money.

In due time, but for now we have to learn from all our experiences this year and be better in the coming years.

When the future of any coin is unpredictable then why we must take them personally. Yes, we must have any coin in our portfolio for making profits and not due to having some personal intention toward that coin like it will fetch you millions in the future. Because, only when your expectations are big, you may start loving that coin. Just have them for the reason of diversification otherwise just stick within bitcoins but you may love bitcoins always.

Yes he used the term 'love' to denote, investing heavily into coin and holding that infinitely for big targets. Here, it sounds like becoming greedy due to overconfident. It is just another emotion failure. We must stick within our trading plans always otherwise disasters are unavoidable.

Back to topic:There is nothing to love in a coin, even the bitcoin per se, it's all about maximizing profits from that available ones, and whichever is giving you profits at a particular time,you could tend to fall in "love" with it
Most people have earned a lot from the bitcoin,and the moment there is a crash,they start cursing and swearing
So it's absolutely about profits,and for now I can see no other than bitcoin or the Eth being profitable

I love what I do but not the product ( coins ), that's rules in business world. Increase asset value and skill is our aim and use the product wisely, not love it until we can't let it go. This year I learn about it not easy but now I know the limit, not to become rich guy but better person.

Btc is then king of all coins so it will always be the leading market maker . All the alt coins which does not have any use or good team to manage it will become worthless and many would not benefit even listed after this ICO’s. So just consider top altcoins market cap wise in current market to buy it .

That's one of the biggest mistakes we all do, we love crypto so much that we forget this is a technical financial thing and put our emotions into it and in the end when we love something it breaks our hearts. I loved nano to death, nano is still my favorite coin ever considering it actually manages to send millions of dollars and the transaction is both free and takes only milliseconds.

That basically solves the transaction fee problem all together and is a much much needed thing in all of crypto however just because I believed in the project I did not checked the indicators and never really cared about what others said and now it is less than a dollar whereas it was 34 dollars at one point.

We sometimes forget to look at the technical details and that is why we are doomed to lose money. Look at crypto as an investment, not as a project you want to contribute to.

Its actually depends on the coin, some of the coin hold a big potential, but the usage of the alt coin is very limited, it is really difficult to make the price go up and growth if the adoption is limited, and usually the developers only created the coin to be dump, so once its dump then it will be hard to go up again

yes agree, it is difficult if you only hope for one coin because the risk for loss is greater even if the price of the coin rises then get a big profit but it is safer to invest your money in a few coins so that if one coin loses it can be replaced by another profit

That's why I don't mentioned any alts to those who are asking what's the "best" coin to put money with.

Basically, we have different perspective and approach on each certain coin therefore our stratgey dealing on those is obviously different to each other. If I made success on those alts, it doesn't mean that other people will have the same experienced and vice versa.

Well then, we just have to trust our judgement with backed up analysis while facing the risks. All mistakes will be charged to experiences.

Selling without a fomo and not looking back has been most profitable to me. But there's always my greed that makes it hard to do that.

Here's what I do with my investment. I make sure that I distribute my capital into bitcoin and three altcoins. Half of my investment to bitcoin and remaining half for the three altcoins. Altcoins are more risky than bitcoin but will give more profit than bitcoin. Just don't let your emotions bring you to panic selling.

You have did a big mistake if you invested only on a single altcoins. Diversify your investment on some altcoins, it will lessen the risks of losses. I don't think it is the time for you to regret it. It is the decline period, so why not you just wait for the next bullrun or rise cycle. Actually you haven't lost yet. Be patient!

this can be a learning that putting all your money into one coin is very risky, but trying to share the money we have to infest many coins, this may be safer, because it is impossible for all coins to fall simultaneously, or maybe we infest gradually , because gradually we can always follow the current price, make all the events in the trade a lesson for us.

Patience can be a good choice but this will greatly affect your psyche at this point and will easily make you depressed for long periods of time. If the market wants to return, the number of investors must increase in the next time and then the value of altcoin will increase.

I think we can still hold altcoins like ethereum, lisk, litecoin, zcash and dash the foregoing coins has done very well in the past and there are still doing very well today no matter what is happening.  Some of this coins could have gone into extension if not for how strong there are.

I can not agree less with you, this advice is apt and correct. There is no point loving a coin than seeing profits in your wallet. It has been happening to newbies and veteran traders who are in love with a particular coin and refuse to deal when the time was appropriate and they are filled with regret now. Sell off when you are in profits and wait for another opportunity.

Altcoin price changes are more extreme than bitcoin so the risk is far greater but the chances of the profits you get can be much greater. I think it's not a problem to love an altcoin, with note that altcoin's record it has a great potential to go up i the future, so your love for altcoin can be worthed

Very true,,, I also admit that I love the first few coins I bought. If you ask me then or today, I still hold them and even still add to them every time I want to spend a bit of extra cash. I liked the ideas behind them and the technology too, speaking about Litecoin Waves and Monero especially. It is sad to see that all of them have fallen, but just like everyone else they are suffering market sentiment effects.

But I have matured now and will of course let go of them if they ever were abandoned or have just gone nowhere in development. For now, Monero and Waves especially are still in development progress, so I do not change my mind. But if they die one day, I will let go.

There is no way to skip your experience. Yes, you are absolutely right. I am suffering for this reason. I believed too many altcoins and now my portfolio low to lower. I can't forget this bad experience in the future. I will never and never do that again.

As long you are still holding your coin then it isn't considered to be a loss and recovery would always be possible but the issue here or it would just really matter on time.
Putting your eggs on a single coin would really be very dangerous because would really be very hard to recover once the market goes down.
Just hold on yet this is a common situation on any investment. There are pumps and dumps specially with these kind of markets. Love of altcoins isnt bad because we

I think your statement is correct, if the alts go down it will be very difficult to come back again, unless the company has high competitiveness, such as companies that are concerned with the exchanger business.
Not to mention, all the alts boils down to bitcoin or mostly on the erc20 platform, so it can be concluded that it will be very difficult to rise if there is a price decline amid the price of bitcoin and ethereum dropped dramatically like now.

Brother I would like to agree with your post. Yes, no one should be busy with the same coin need to change and if possible sell with some profits then buys another one. No need to be the only holder try to trade at the same time that's how you can make profits.

I see reasons with you, having a sentimental attachment to a coin/token might make you not to sell it when you're supposed to. And also expecting that it will go further is kind of greed on another part. I have been a victim of this too. Holding to ATH, thinking it will keep rising because the team is solid and project is top notch, now am in a very big loss.

That is a good strategy for any investor. It is important for all of the crypto community that they have to keep some part of their money in Bitcoin as they will secure their money from high risk. It is also sure that the price potential to rise is higher of Bitcoin than any other coin.

I think that it is just for now that Altcoins are down and are not advised to invest in but after sometime is passed, and when the market recovers, we’d have a good profit margin in the Altcoins because they have potential of return.

The only coin in which I have a huge faith is bitcoin, every other coin despite their quality does not have my trust so as soon as I see some signs that there is trouble forming I get out as fast as I can, this means that I have lost some profits along the way but I have also saved myself from huge losses by following my belief that the only coin that I know is going to be around during the next decades is bitcoin.

Be smart investor, don't be coin lover because you will tied on it. Just make sure our investment is to gain profit, not because we love the coin. After we think we already get profit, just take money out and change to other coins.

My favorite has been Bitcoin because of it capacity and ability to strive in the bear market and come out strong unlike other tokens which are not encouraged. Altcoins have loose some valuable to the investors hence many investors have seize to make investment with tokens rather bitcoin.

I like altcoins but I do not want to hold them for a long period of time. It seems like people are getting afraid also in altcoin. I put my time just to know the side of many altcoins, their purpose and product. But I think it is not enough to know that altcoins are working and will work in the future. So, I do not believe them much and I buy them only in a short period of time.

Of course not only you make bitcoin as your favorite coin to invest, but almost most investors will also choose it, each altcoin has the potential of each and it will be like bitcoin who will be able to get a pump when the market situation has recovered.

For me I love altcoins. I don't hate coins who potential and gives me a lot of profit. But if the coins I lose too much money and not potential I hate that. For sure more people love altcoins and only few some who are hated it.

Yes.Altcoins may just be only good for a short term so it's not advisable to hold them for long term investment because some really loses their value as time passes by.Of course you will be a loser in the end.So never just depend on a single coin for the prosperity of your investment,at least learn to diversify your investment.

So yes you are right about that but the loss in the values of Altcoin has deeply hurt people and some of them who had been around for some time have also left the market. Only the long term guys are going to stay.

well, you're right, this can't be endured forever. maybe within 2 or 3 months, we can sell the assets we have, or within a few months. well, I thought about selling it like that, but it seems like now the price has begun to recover, and I plan to hold it back.

How can you love any particular coin when you do not have any power over the coin. It is foolhardy to do that as you will eventually lose your money protecting your love. If you have compassion over any particular coin you will not be able to act when necessary to sell the coin according to market pulse but you will be keeping the coin hoping based on analysis which you are never part of that it will increase in value. But the opposite will be the case as the price will crash.

I guess this is something we have really mentioned several times in this space about altcoins, as they are the most volatile of all when it comes to long term hold, and simply you really do not want to be putting much of your hopes in them, because they are always known to end up hitting back on their historical support in the long run anyway. Nonetheless, that does not mean, they still cannot end up recovering, as that is some normal thing in most markets, but you just have to know how you want to be handling yourself in most cases, that is all.

That always make anyone to have a pretty good edge over an investor who is just going the HODL way. One thing about investment is that if you do not have a trading knowledge, at least long term, you just have to realize you have nothing else to do than to stick with what you are holding and look forward to the long term whatever the short term outcome may be like. However, with some good trading knowledge with it, even if it is long term trading, you will always be able to take advantage of the trends to your advantage. Altcoins are pretty more volatile and you really want to be extra careful dealing with them.

I think its better to conduct both of them like you doing investing while doing trading so you can earn double income. Even it is difficult to manage you should try to do it well so it will really end up in a positive income. You need to put more effort and time in order to become successful in doing investing while doing trading.

the wayI can see with your experienced in holding your coins, you didn't become practical, instead you may be invest all your fund into crypto in just one coin only, which is really not good that will cause you loss of capital in the end. If I were you much better if you join in any campaign, whether social media campaign, translation, content creation, vlog or community manager.

Long term isn't good if there is no change in price of what coin you are holding. Of course, we want to grow our investment and diversifying into other coin is a great choice. I'm doing these for many times and I feel better on it and not worry if it's losing its value cause it turn back easily.

I was more love my money than altcoins because if i missed good opportunities to sell when the price high then i would regret my decission and for me personally i do have favourite coin but i won't sacrificed my money to hold them if someday they turn out to dead coin

Your opinion is also very real and i think depending on the time of good or bad market we choose Altcoins which are potential. Focus on a coin is also not potential and effective.Coins that have strategies and the prospect i always take priority and hold.

I have experienced that with many coins, but I always choose reputed coins hence I guess I do not need to worry on holding them as I am sure they will bounce back at any time along with bitcoins. Yes, altcins are not too bad to hate them but we need to be more careful while choosing them for investing. Unique coins are always good for investing and for holding. I do focus for such coins to add some balance for my portfolio along with bitcoins. I guess I cannot stop loving altcoins and at the same time I cannot believe them to take more risk.

You got my point, you need to choose and pick good altcoins in the market cap that in the line of even top 20 altcoins in the market cap. Yes, it brings a risk but altcoins it gives also profit if you know how to manage with it. There's a good coin in altcoins that profitable in holding, but of course, 75% of my capital was on the Bitcoin investment. Loving altcoin is good but picks a right one that brings you profit.

When it comes to investing you cannot leave anything to chance, if you buy stocks you still need to check them once in a while to see if no stock has lost too much value but when it comes to cryptocurrencies, that move many times faster than any stock, this process needs to be more frequent and if you find a coin that is losing money then it is OK to sell it and only buy it again if it is beginning to recover.

Crypto market moves freely and inevitable price fluctuations that is why we shouldn't expect profits all the time. The chances we have is just 50/50, losing and gaining. If we are so soft and deeply affected for the loss, we certainly losing forever. We can't just depend on a single coin but to look for another opportunity in the other(altcoins).

I don't think so you have read all my thread. Suspecting just replied for signature. You don't need to quote full thread ever since you are replying on this thread. You can just quote specific part if need.

However, we love all Altcoin beside of Bitcoin it doesn't mean just love even coin drop much and much. It doesn't mean we should hold and hold even it's price go on ATH. What I want to mean, you might have few favourite coins for trading. But you should sell just when you think you are on good profits. Just don't be much greedy for more profits and eventually got loss. Hope you understand now. I don't think you will bother to reply here anymore. Even you will not bother read it.

Either be there from the very beginning of coin or day trade ruthlessly and unemotionally. If you're there from the start, and it's not an ICO, you should remain way up whatever happens. If you're day trading then it doesn't matter. You'll be out of it by teatime.

Most people are in between those two positions and get raped because of it.

I too, I certainly love the FIAT money that I have. therefore I never trade with FIAT money that I generate from the offline work that I do, I trade with capital resulting from the bounty campaign

Always remember that not all of altcoins are profitable. There are only some altcoins that are good in investment. It is now hard to find a altcoins that have potential because most of altcoins can now be considered as worthless.

Apart from Bitcoin, Eth, i never holded any altcoin, when ever i get chance i just sold them in what ever profit and never see their price afterwards as it will tempt you to reinvest it in low but in the end it will be in loss. So it is better to forget the coin you sold and move on to another coin or project.

I think if you want that coin buy it but dont praise it to the fullest.  In crypto you will experience ups and downs so manage well your funds carefully. Invest in many coins not in one coin so your profit will be good.

I also work on this strategy. What I do is, whenever I buy any crypto currency, I use to set a target for selling. For example at start of this year I bought some ETH at that time it was around 400$, I set a target that I will sold when it will be doubled, although it was huge/big target. Luckily it touched 800$ in very few days. I sold immediately and earned profit. I loved two crypto currencies, one increases my love and other is not able to attar me any more.

A dev/fan attaches emotional value with the coin and is not able to take the right decisions at the right time. I would agree with your theory of not putting all your money in regards to Equity/Debt and other traditional assets. But cryptocurrency as an entire market is a totally different ball game in the present. Most of the projects have nothing to show of economical benefit (In fact even top 10 coins cannot justify their valuations) at the present. Their valuation is being accorded to their ability to disrupt the scene in the future. So the entire market is more of hinged on Bitcoin and is largely driven by movements in Bitcoin.

Exactly you are right. I did this mistake on begun. Really I wasn't bought for trading, my intention was to hold longer. But unfortunately like a fool I had invested only single coin. After that it was became 4X down. Then I sold it and start trading to recover. I have recovered almost 60% of my loss and hope I will recover all my fund within month. Now I do not love any coin, just sell once I have at least 10% profits and I re-buy again on dip. That's why I told don't love any coin. Obviously I have few favorite coins but I don't love them. I just choose them for trading, not for holding longer. Holding possible only if I can buy on all time low, otherwise I am not interested to hold longer. I just love bitcoin for hold, don't care what is the USD price.

Most altcoins use the same or similar technology as BTC, for the market to develop and grow we need diversity, it can finally lead to better solutions and to a fster way of solving the existing crypto problems. Alts bring their own value to the market and add to a wider adoption of crypto by general public. I might sound very naive, but we won't move far if we all hold only BTc and consider other coins only from the "sell as the price goes up" perspective. What's more, I do think that with time some of altcoins can overtake BTc as the market leader, I'm not saying it's going to happen in 2019 or even in 5 years time, but this opportunity can not be dismissed. I also have some "favourites" coins that i trade, but as you already say i also have a loss for a coins i choose to hold to long and i still wait for bull run, but after i put total i made from crypto i'm in profit so i will not sell even if go much lower, and i'm satisfied with what i have.

Some altcoins are worth to invest, though i see your fault is that you only invested on a single coin which is a bit hard when times like this most altcoins will starts to diminish due to the bearish market. In my opinion, there's nothing wrong of having another favorite coin other than btc as long as you knew that the coin you choose is trustworthy and stable. Agree and some will even make a long arguement just to defend their altcoin. Guys loyalty on a coin does not really pay well most importantly if you are not good at technicals. You can always buy them back if you sold it and accumulate more or jump into another coin if you have felt that it reached it max value.

yeah we have to think rationally when holding coins.dont love to it too much or we could harmed with our own decision.if there are many other profitable coins meanwhile our coins didnt profit yet, why we dont switch it?

This situation is not suitable for any currency but the previous years will be best for all investment and we are also getting profit from that also in every time but this situation will not be accepted by as it cause many changes in our economy but it will definitely changes at any time.

Ofcourse i love altcoins buying and holding them but in the past year altcoins kills my money for holding them  ;D
I don't know why the market not good in 2018 but i move on and take advantage again.

Very risky move to invest in ALT coins, they are called ALTERNATIVE coins for a reason     
Sticking with the main coins BTC and ETH to assure wealth in the future
NEO, Tezos, and TOLL come to mind when thinking about ALTS, but these are all down very much
