I have written this article to help anyone who wants to create a MyEtherWallet, if there is any feedback to the article, it would be very much appreciated. Also I would check out the platform I wrote the article on, I see it as the next steemit and you can earn tokens for writing content and upvoting articles.

That's a good article, I first learn how to create my etherium wallet on Youtube, everything I need to know about cryptocurrency I get it on Youtube, it's much easier to understand, because of the step by step tutorial that you can watch and follow easily.

In deed, perhaps we should learn at first how to protect the ether wallet then to create it, considering all the shadow guys out there.

I think you want to help peoples to creating ETH wallet from myetherwallet, not creating myetherwallet.
Myetherwallet is the most easy ETH wallet to use for beginners and newcomers in cryptocurrency.
Maybe you can post this in the Beginner section of this forum as well.

Wow it is very useful to the person who do not know how to create myetherwallet because in reality it's really hard to create myetherwallet before I cannot understand easily but after several times of register now I know that. Thids article can help to the user who wants to have myetherwallet and they will be easy to create because they will have guide.

I think you can find hours of tutorials and how-to videos on youtube. If I am not mistaking even the team members of MEW have made such tutorials by themselves. Just spend some time by searching a good one. It won't take you more than 5 minutes of your time and you will get your wallet address.

let me tell my opinion,
i think MEW is a difficult thing for beginner.
since MEW just a client interface to ETH,
even they don't know what that mean.
i just suggested windows wallet is a best choice for beginner.

You have made good article, but I have not found an explanation about private key. How to find it and where to find it, and how to use it. Also, its the main tool to reach your wallet.

Great idea, many would benefit to this thread of yours, especially the newbie ones. I also remember that i joined bitcointalk without even having a wallet on Myetherwallet then somebody teaches me to do so. Now that i have a MEW with my bitcointalk account, i can join some campaigns and get rewards by my address to my Myetherwallet.

It's a good article, actually and another good resource for those newbies who wants to create a MyEtherWallet but you should also add other Ethereum compatible wallets, like MyCrypto, Trezor, and other wallets, I'm sure until now many people will come in into cryptocurrency and will use Ethereum to use and trade.

That's a good work. This gives a basic stepped process in creating a Myetherwallet as well accessing the same. I suggest you to come up with the way metamask functions with myetherwallet as well as the way of withdrawing funds. The transaction fee required, because people try to make transactions without ethereum in their wallet. So a little briefing could add more value to the article.

 Well, that is the fundamentals steps on creating a wallet on myetherwallet. I suggest doing newer next time since there's already a lot of information creating wallets. Maybe, not get phished or red flags which you would know either your getting phished or not. That would really helps beginners and crypto holders for not losing their money on phishing sites.

I like the look of the platform you have written the article on, I have signed up, looks like a nicer version of Steemit, but doesn't have it's own token which I think could be a major benefit as they don't have to market the token but the platform and the token will bring it's own users.

I would like to see an article on how to keep your crypto safe, I think one of the big issues is that people hear about these huge hacks, exchanges, scams etc and that can be a major turn off for people looking to be in the crypto world. Also maybe common mistakes that people make when they buy / invest into ICOs.

I think the creation of the MEW wallet is very easy to understand, but the most important security issue to understand, all MEW users must already know about MEW's weaknesses in security systems that are still often threatened by phishing webs.

Myether and also this mycrypto.com works almost the same but then one thing I hate about these kind of wallets is that they won't support the old web browser. The reason why I don't update my browser is because of compatibility issues to the extension I installed which is why I end up installed desktop wallet.

it's easy to create myetherwallet just by going to their site and then all the information you just have to enter your password for your wallet friendly user this wallet and lots of users because it's the most convenient wallet but with wallets are also more beautiful and have an advantage like meta mask its advantage on myether wallet is that he dedeacts the phising site it's just easy to use and safe is my a wallet that is more secure than the two are the ledgar nano but with this wallet fee is because it's the most secure wallet for everyone and has the most solid security for your altcoins.

Good beginners article, there can never be too many of them! These sort of articles help with mass adoption of the general public.

Could you write an article on the different types of wallets and the pros and cons? I.e. cold storage, paper wallet etc. I think that is an extremely confusing part for anyone who is looking to get into crypto.

Don't you think point 1 and 2 are the same topic (also the steps)? If I am the writer I'll merge it to be one topic and you can split it to two guides. The first one is how to send tokens online and the second is how to send tokens offline.

It's not trivial, but now there are so many articles like that and very simple in making Myetherwallet without taking a long time, I also really appreciate what you make is not much different from other articles, but the difference in delivery, hopefully this will be a motivation for you personally to make something better and different from others and you are very good at inviting anyone here to easily add views, hopefully you can build it better.

There are many tutorials about making Myetherwallet in various articles. For myself, I prefer to see it on YouTube, the first time I made Myetherwallet is by looking at the tutorial on YouTube because in my opinion it will be easy to understand because it starts from step by step so it's easy to follow.

I don't think we can create a MyEtherWallet :) But we can create an Ethereum wallet in MyEtherWallet :)

I think that the best thing is to use the file to open the myetherwallet and store it on a separate flash card. this way of opening the wallet is the safest for me. No one can steal this file if I store it on a flash drive. I recommend this way to open

The same post was posted on another board too. OP, are you the same person? If so, why are you posting this in two seperate board? I can see an attempt to hunt merit.

Still the usage on both wallet interface is same but the new wallet contains lot of features explaining how to do which makes little bit annoying but the what matters is are we creating and depositing wallet on legit site.Because depositing on clone site will never be able to access our funds once we send it.

I think its not the issue if they use MEW or Windows wallet mate, as long as they understood and know who to follow instruction,
they can create wallet for sure. Because, in my experienced when I was a newbie before I just read the instruction very well and followed it

Making Myetherwallet wallets is very easy, but this is good for me because it gives positivity to those who don't know, how good it is to make articles that others have not made or other tutorials.

Not a bad guide, but not for newbies! I would advise to modify:
a) Be sure to tell that the site: MyEtherWallet needs to be bookmarked, be sure to check certificates before entering the site. Add here that there is an offline version and use it more preferably.
b) Add more pictures, it will be a navigator for beginners and will help to avoid unnecessary questions.

Although MyEtherWallet is the easiest ETH wallet to use, i will recommend peoples to not using it anymore.
Using metamask is better because it is browser extension. There were many MEW phishing cases occurred in the past.
but if you are a beginner, using MEW is enough to learn how to sending ETH or token in from your wallet.

You can create your etherwallet by seeing on youtube channel of myetherwallet and you can created your account and save many kinds of altcoin support erc20 wallet and you can save it for long time.

Yeah it's easy ways but not all people know how to make their wallet secure maybe that's the important thing. Many people just know with save their private key in secret doesn't make their wallet be stolen, but the fact it does not guarantee that their assets are truly safe. Phising site and spyware can make their assets be stolen, maybe those factors must be known by everyone.

i also go to your site look good for new beginer to become the world of crypto especially ethereum as erc20 wallet. but, i dont recomended for generate new wallet when you conected internet online. because we dont know malware, spyware or anything else when you generate seed or private key online. i recomended use iancoleman for generate seed and private key offline https://github.com/iancoleman/bip39/releases/download/0.3.10/bip39-standalone.html . they have ethereum for generate new wallet offline can be safe.

I create my first ETH wallet in myetherwallet, it is very easy to use for newcomer.
But it is not recommended to be used, if you want to using the wallet actively.
Maybe hackers can set some phishing sites, and there will be more chance to getting phished if you too often using myetherwallet.

I appreciate the tutorial you made but what's more important is on how to keep your MEW safe.This is my concern and I always remind people to check the URL if it's the correct one before putting your private key (which isn't a recommended way of logging in).

1. Go to the MyEtherWallet site
Mark this site so you cannot visit fake sites that can win you.
2. Create your account
Write your password in the box, make it so you choose a strong and complicated password that is easy to understand. Minimizing the risk of account fraud.
Download the Keystore UTC / JSON file
Keystore is a UTC / JSON file that can enter your account, and can be used to get your lost account back. This is one way to enter the account, the second way is to use the Private Key. This method is not recommended because if your website is fake, the web owner can receive all the coins that you have. Save your Keystore file properly and in a safe place, because your coins may be digital 'gold'.
3. Private key
After clicking "I understand. Continue", you'll be taken to the current shared branch of information system.Anda harus mengklik dan mengunduh dompet kertas.Dompet kertas yang berisi Kunci Publik dan Kunci Pribadi tersedia dalam bentuk kode QR. In creating MyEtherWallet account, newbies should protect their private keys as if their life depends on it because sooner or later you will be having an huge portfolio in value which is your asset.

There is no doubt that MEW is easy to use and it's one of the very first wallet I was able to grasp but I may have to argue on being the easiest. I think there's another web wallet that is easier and more convenient than MEW. Check out the Equal Web Wallet.

Instructions are cleary explained in the time of sign up itself. The page which is popping up around 4 times will give enough information to do that, then what is the use of this article. If you really want to help the newbies want to create the MEW wallet. You may need to share this on beginners and help section.

Newbies might need such advice and please see the URL and you are on MEW or any phishing site. There are some scam sites there to scam us.

MEW is the wallet used by most of the bounty hunters so it is indeed to create such article but it is not a rocket science knowledge needed to create a wallet, anyone who can understand english can do that and all the information are available even from their official website.

Has anyone here experience the same way with me? I created new wallet using the new and improved mew website. There is a lot of choice even in the app. But I prefer to choose the mnemonics scheme.

However when I imported it on my imtoken 3rd party app. The eth address that gave to me in mew is different than the one I imported through imtoken but I encode the mnemonics I got from mew. This new version made me think how the hell that happened?

So my solution is revert back the old mew interface and do the old process and I did it. But still not figuring out why the first one got wronged. Please enlighten me.

Real talk first I tried to make myetherwallet i do not how to create it,  I tried to create more than 2 I think before I gets because I do not how what next step but after readibg somw information finally I get it and successful created my account that I used until now.

I think you should have mentioned MEWconnect, it's a very handy mobile wallet from the creators of MEW, and it has made things easier for me.

Nice shared there, but owning a wallet with myetherwallet is quite simple and straightforward since the first thing you need is the password and you are done. Just secure your wallet private key and if it was to be a phrase, keep them from anyone except you to avoid lost of coin.

Though it is a very easy thing to open a Myetherwallet account, after upgrading MEW look and interface, many people got confused. So, this article will help them. But I think you should have added the MEW Connect account open procedure because MEW Connect is the safe way to store cryptocurrency in Myetherwallet and it is not that easy to create and store keys/code account like the web wallet. Can you write an article about how to earn crypto? I think it's the starting point for all people who are getting into crypto, I find a lot of the articles are not that good and the ways to earn have not been tested out.

Basically, I've try to figure out how to create my own myetherwallet before, and it was so hard to understand really if you doesn't have any experience on wallet creation even on other blockchain and crypto platform. Yes it is very creative and useful for everyone especially for beginners it really helps me see now to make myEtherwallet there are different steps than before

MyEtherWallet account isn't so hard work, personally at the first time I opened an account and deleted it after 3-4 times I confirmed that I did it. To create a myetherwallet people can search YouTube or some articles where broadly elaborate that how it works and open also it's not a bank.

Well I think it is not that hard mate first of all you should take help from the ETH SITES and after that you only will have to open their site and enter your password, myetherwallet has so many users and it is the most reliable wallet to have but those who try to recreate it so they will surely have to do so much hard work as it does not happen in days or months, crypto currency is not child’s play.

publish0x is a good platform for sharing your opinion and for making money with sharing it in public. Myetherwallet can be good for new crypto starters but the same cannot be a reason to use MEW for storing the main holdings.

I think someone who type that on Google will surely find the answer in a minute, it's more like advertising your blog. And again myetherwallet already have it easy on their website and i also think that is one of the most easiest things to do when joining crypto, could remember i did that myself no online tutor

This is very simple, we have different ways of doing this. We can use imtoken app, or go to the website and observe the normal protocol to get the eth wallet adress

Create a wallet from Myetherwallet is very easy, we only follow all the instructions available, and a maximum of 3 minutes then we already have an account on MEW, make sure to remember or store a private key or file in the safest place so it is not easily stolen.

If you want to create myether wallet then you need to go to their official website or you can use chrome extension to do it but if you are talking about creating a wallet to store ERC20 tokens then there are lot of choices available for us.

A solid tutorial on MEW indeed. I would also encourage people to try out alternatives like MyCrypto as well, so they can stick to the option that is the most in line with their preferences.

Nice one, I think the info should help any newbie to be able to create an etherium account easily on her platform, however emphasis should be taken away from MEW as their are other apps that can allow you to create an etherium account within seconds, examples are eidoo and Imtoken all available on playstore

Using MEWconnect is still not a solution as typing an address that has almost 42 characters and then adding custom tokens is too tedious.  I installed the app and couldn't find any option to get the private key and you only get the option to backup the wallet. No way to get the password back if you forget it too. Plus if I try to add custom tokens in the browser, it doesn't show up in the app. They need to provide more options like save wallet addresses, adding custom tokens and ways to recover the password too.

Thank you very much for doing it, because I am really tired of posts about creating MEW wallet. People are simply too lazy to open the google search and if not there are thousands vids in the web, where you can simply follow the steps.

It's easy to make a wallet and it's a thing for altcoins and it's one of those bounty hunter's used to store their altcoins or get rewards for the bounty they have with different wallets but not the same as others secure the wallet and the other is not secure.

Been long I had tried looking up on how the site is since I downloaded trust wallet and managing my portfolio with the apps, previously it was difficult to figure out how one can manage other tokens but this is a perfect look and provides a User friendly interface, I may have to unistal my etherium app and continue with the Myetherwallet site. I use MEW almost always from my mobile device and use only the secret key to enter.  At least I highly doubt the effectiveness of trojans that can hack my smartphone, and therefore I almost never use the file key and password.  Perhaps this is my mistake, but nevertheless, no matter what, I believe that MyEtherWallet is the best offer on the cryptocurrency market.

I never keep my MEW private key and password in my PC. I have written it in the diary. I store json file only in my PC. I still have doubt when I use JSON file and access into my MEW account using the password is there a way to get hacked? Most of the time I use Metamask to access my MEW account.

Myetherwallet website are improving, but i still used to the old / vintage myetherwallet.
Although the web wallet is not the most secure wallet, i think MEW is the easiest ETH wallet to be used.
To create new eth wallet, just go to the website and klik 'Create a new wallet'.

I would not call it the best wallet, or rather it is not the safest. If you already store your cryptoactives, then only on cold wallets.

To create an account in the Myeterwallet is very simple. Just click on the create new wallet and browse the process as indicate on the screen. But, creating the wallet is not the crucial matter. You should keep your Private Key and Jason key secretly and offline mode.

After creating a new MEW wallet, what is next? I believe the next thing to do is to keep the login details safe because in crypto, wallet holders are their own securities, thus the manner in which logins (private keys, keystore, JSON file etc) are stored determines the extent to which the wallet is secured. Keeping them on a new flashdrive and storing it safely is one of the best ways.

Guys, I have been using Myetherwallet for a long time and found this wallet very reliable.  The most important thing is to keep the secret key, file key and password in a place so that no one has access to it.  Save a separate link to access the site in order not to get to the phishing site in the future.  But the most important thing is to be careful if you use your keys or passwords to copy to the clipboard in order not to send your secret data to where it should not.  I have already lost my funds in this way, although I have always been attentive to the use of MEW.

And also myetyeherwallet also have their own tutorial when you creat the wallet. Just follow the steps and read it carefully. Something lately I have ceased to like the new version of the Myetherwallet website.  I had to look in the old bookmarks for the old version of the link in order to use MEW for more convenience.  Of course, I use the wallet on a device with the Android operating system and therefore I may be experiencing difficulties.  Nevertheless, the fact remains that the old version of the Myetherwallet website is much simpler.

convenient to use. Many services ask for MetaMask if you wish to used them, and after many delays I have it now.

in the past, I often used MEW but now I prefer to use ICOVO which is more practical.

Is it as relevant it was in March? Especially in accessing the fund, the website interface has really changed. More security details should be considered now, the vulnerability to hack seem higher.

I still use Keystore instead of the private key because, in my opinion, it's safer than having to log in using a private key, sometimes there are people who are careless when entering the bounty participant registration form, they instead enter a private key, so I don't want that to happen and always Use Keystore to login to Myetherwallet.

It's not. There are things which have been changed since this thread was created. The interface, how to login, etc aren't same anymore (but it's still familiar though).
Even though their security seems more secure than before, don't forget to always check and check wether the link is correct or it could be phising link.

I think Myetherwaller has been change to other site so can't access on your account. I also making a new research for this to solve my tokens that has been freeze on my wallet.

it's still the same, only the appearance that makes you confused, the first thing you have to do to export after entering the MEW page is
1. access my wallet
2. access by software and then choose in what way you want to access the wallet, but usually most users will choose to use a private key

then just follow the instructions

no, that's is not changed to another site but MEW has been updated and your can still export your personal code here https://www.myetherwallet.com/access-my-wallet and I will tell you how.
1. click software
2. after that it will come out : Access by Software
3. click private key and then is continue.
then after that you can check or access your wallet and can to see all your token in it. that's it always works and will never fail.

I cant really blame those people who got confused on the new update of MEW.Even I did really have some time to explore on where to input those PK yet
its been a long time i havent visited MEW for years then this change will really give you out some questions but a few minutes of exploring you can eventually
find out on where to access using PK. Now, there were lots of options for you to save up on how you gonna access your wallet which is a good thing.
It might not be user-friendly compared in the past but there were lots of features which is good.

I don't know how people like this myetherwallet compare to trust wallet the difference is marginal, on my ethereallet you have to add every erc20 tokens manually but its auto on trust wallet, every single tokens you have in your wallet will be displayed

This do only apply on some tokens which you would need to press that custom token for it to be shown but talking about choices then i would prefer nor do trust MEW than Trust wallet when it comes on storing erc20 tokens.

I visited mew recently after a long time of inactivity it. I have an old version of "My Crypto" desktop. The platform is amazing but seems not to be friendly use by newcomers as stated above. However the platform looks well designed to make it harder create a fake copy of it {security reasons} .
I didn't find the option to create a wallet with private key or where to extract the pk if i access my wallet with mewconnect using the phone app.
