IMO, ETH's glory days are over and we're already seeing how ETH isn't growing at the fast pace that it used too...

On the other hand, BNB is a much more stable project. There's a lot of IEO happening right now in there and Binance overall is a VERY PROFITABLE business.

The possibility of this to happen is quite very little, in my own opinion BNB can't beat ethereum because binance chain is no a smart contact and is in no way like the ethereum chain so I don't see this happening.

Not at this time that BNB can beat the ethereum, BNB is only at in new crypto market maybe in the future many new investors know about BNB and the potential of it. Ethereum is now the king of altcoins the most popular in crypto market and having high volume.

I think binance has make some gains in terms of percentage more than ethereum since the beginning of this year till now and that means it is performing better than ethereum. Binance coin is one of the most popular and good coins currently and it come from the way back to achieve that. When bitcoin was halving around $8000 in 2018, ethereum was above $700 and currently bitcoin is around $8000 and ethereum is below $250 and that means ethereum is not enjoying because of how icos is not actract investors again and  has been replaced with ieo. Binance is one of the leading ieo promoter and many investors now prefer it to icos.

Ignore the market cap comments. Just like stocks have gone to zero the same can happen to coins. Invest in projects and teams, not market caps. To me BNB is a more solid investments TODAY. Who knows what the future will bring.

No, BNB can't replace ETH. I think there might be some confusion if ETH is just regarded as an ICO platform - there is a separate question of whether IEOs on exchanges such as Binance might come to be bigger than ICOs on ETH.

But really ETH is much more than an ICO platform, it is an entire smart contract system. There is no way that BNB can replace that.

No as BNB is central and we will loose the trust in Binance sooner than later ;)

They are fair chances Bnb to reach 100 dollars anytime soon but bnb is no competition for eth both are different blockchain their entire ecosystem of blockchain is different both the coins grow individually

There is no reason putting bnb against ETH because eth is way better and still acting decentralized ,unlike bnb which is more like master of manipulation ,feels like centralized token to me ,correct me if I'm wrong I think new developers will still always choose erc20 over others

For me, ETH is still the most potential project in the current crypto market, maybe the current ETH does not have much strong growth in terms of price. But in the long run it is still the most favored project, many companies. BNB is also very potential but its price is being exaggerated.

I am a fan of both Ethereum and Binance so I guess whatever happens to them both that can be fine with me. Ethereum is already an established network and has proven many times its worth...and right now it is continuing the innovations which users can soon enjoy. Binance on the other hand has a long way to go before we can conclude that it is a good platform and network...but I am sure that its leadership will not be resting until it got its goals on its back secured. Now, the market is very much open for the two players and I see no problem with that. Let the competition begin and in the end it will be us the users that can benefit with their non-stop search for excellence.

BNB is a more profitable project like you said and therefore, to me, it's a more solid investment if you ask me.

this has been the trend for as long as i can remember. a small altcoin grows huge and goes to rank #2 on coinmarketcap.com and gets hyped for a while and sees unbelievable pumps and then starts dying slowly and is replaced by the next small coin that does the same exact thing!!!

i wouldn't expect much out of BNB because it is also centralized and full of flaws just like ETH and it is going the same route meaning 100% premine then hyping it up and adding ways for scammers to scam people through them while they earn the real money, a scheme known as ICO or the rename to IEO.

Yes its true seems like BNB become much popular cause IEO are a best way to fund money right now and ICO seems to be left behind. But i do think ethereum will also shine too cause we are entering the era of blockchain technology which is a good things and will bring so many customer to ethereum. I believe both coin are great and BNB has a big potential to grow but i do not think BNB will have a marketcap larger than ethereum, cause ethereum will also grow.

Just because of BNB is an exchange coin doesn't mean it can be compared with ETH. Realistically, BNB is trying to build its own ecosystem by launching Binance chain. Binance DEX is helping accelerate this. As of now, if ETH is technique based then BNB is economics based. If it's simply marketcap compare, I dare say one day BNB would surpass ETH.

Hype of IEO is real and this time is very perfect for BNB to rise, but for beat ethereum i don't think BNB can do. ETH is very huge bro and BNB just a coin on the exchange.

A lot of IEO are coming in Binance and every IEO will be taken place with BNB. So BNB's demand is increasing. BNB is now one of the top 7 coins in coinmarketcap. If this continues BNB can take 4th place after BTC, ETH and XRP. Taking 4th place is easy for BNB but beating ETH and taking 2nd rank means nearly impossible in the next few years but may be possible in the long run.

there is no doubt that BNB is one of the best and most potential types of coins at the moment. however, comparing it with ETH may still be too fast. I think, the main target that needs to be achieved by BNB is to defeat the XRP position in function problems. however, in terms of prices, of course BNB has the potential to beat ETH, but for now it is still a small possibility.

we could not compared it with ethereum peer to peer.as we know ethereum was platform for creating smart contract.meanwhile bnb recently launched its blockchain , although many projects migrate to bnb chain.but in future if bnb chain stable i am sure it could bear eth.

In my humble opinion it wont happen. Ethereum already showed the best of the best. While BNB is still in development and I  can't deny the BNB is doing great. But for now I can't see any reasons that BNB can beat ethereum. Yea for sure BNB can be use in IEO within binance but not in all exchanges. Ethereum is definitely not dead. Mr. Buterin needs to get his sh*** together but there's a reason why it's the second best coin listed in coin market cap mate.

With the way CZ hyping BNB, there is really a big chance that BNB will Ether the soonest possible time. Just last year i have bought BNB for $6, look at it now it is more than $30 and progressively increasing at fast pace.

I think bnb can override eth but bb better to improve the bnb so that it exceeds because eth is really potential and it is well known by people as well as bnb longterm and there is a potential but better for eth mine.

When BNB was not growing as expected, a lot of people did not see it as being a stable coin, until now. I believe that a time will come that ETH will also pick up and then, the general notion about it will change. Individual coins have their different periods of movement, either upward or downward trend. Now is the time for BNB. I believ it has the tendency to perform much better.

Maybe in the near future, who knows?  As a fact that bnb is a strong project with a best team also. In this matter they can beat ethereum but not this time. It will take more more years to that happen.

I don't think BNB can beat the eth in future though the bnb coin is more potential. The last things that affect bnb to rise more that is more IEOs launched in the platform. IEOs hyped is good until it last.  I think BNB need to bring more to the table to be able to beat ETH.  IEO alone won't let BNB beat ETH because its hype is limited.  Just wait and see them for yourself.  This IEO craze will be over before we know it.  People are seeing the trend of IEO, crowdfunding, pump and then dump.  Those who invested on the IEO would certainly get profit but those who bought them after the IEO will be at loss and people are seeing it now.  So a few more of this kind of tactic, it won't work anymore.  Probably this Binance "DEX" would greatly help to build up the BNB value.  They charge a total of 12,000 BNB from the creation  to listing of the token (https://youtu.be/xXmYxN8g2TQ?t=379) creating demand for BNB.  Assuming all the project in ETH and other platform shifted to BNB chain, there is a possibility that BNB can even surpass BTC.  That is "if they shifted (all token) to BNB chain".

Ethereum is not easy to take over because xrp not perfectly stay in top 2 for long time. But BNB is pretty good until now the price get dumping up at this time.

Ethereum and BNB were born and grew very different, they are not the same and Ethereum in my opinion is still difficult to beat by the BNB for the next few years. Ethereum only at the expense of successful ico gave a lot of money to the holders in 2017 and 2018. Now bnb offers the same, so it may well be a repeat of the success of eth.

So as BNB beating Bitcoin too? As from past, this is the comparison we have heard for so long Ethereum beating Bitcoin. Never mind just inserting that one to get some good arguments. Ethereum is not dead!
The second best coins in market cap and someone just wants to think that a hype coin will beat its rank.
That is way too quick to escalate everything in just a short amount of time.
People would rather choose Ethereum over BNB because of its unique attribute that can be used in a lot of ICO.

Well, I don't think so. Bnb had this exchanger that is very popular and famous as well. But, ETH had this technology system that supports almost all of the tokens in the market and some of them are so valuable right now. BNB has a chance but not that high. I really believe that ETH will dominate in the near future.  :)

All possibilities can still occur and if there is always an IEO, then it is very possible that the BNB will experience a lot of price increases as well as more volume, because visitors at binance are always crowded, even though ETH's strength is very strong.

Crypto market always have a big surprise we don't know what will happened in the next couple of years, BNB is moving positively and if his will continue

No doubt BNB is a good coin backed by top rated crypto exchange. Binance has a good business and most of the people associated with crypto trust Binance more than any crypto exchange. Many good IEOs are listing on Binance but it does not mean Ethereum is not doing good and it is losing its value.Ethereum is still trading at good price of $250 and its value is much more than BNB currently. Many new projects are still being launched on Ethereum blockchain,ETH blockchain is fast and cheap.I don't think ETH will remain way behind, as per my opinion, BNB cannot take over ETH in next 2-3 years.

Binance is just an exchange and it is still doing its job well in the crypto market, I don't deny this. But how can an exchange defeat the one holding the largest market share in the crypto market?
ETH is covering a huge network of supporting foundations for newly established projects. It contributes a lot in the crypto market.

One time for sure, but there is still a long long way till we will see BNB on the second spot on coinmarketcap. Binance is doing a great work and they are constantly working on their exchange by bringing a lot of new features. Lets just see what happens in 2 years.

I am sure that with the accumulation of failed projects, BNB will lose its popularity, besides there are many more advantages for ethereum, many projects use its reliable smart contracts. And those projects that change the ERC-20 standard to the BNB chain will soon regret it because they do it only because have guarantees of listing for speculative purposes.

I don't think will happen and Ethereum always will be a top coins and BNB will not have so much money on as Ethereum have, but BNB can grow over time but will not beat Ethereum.

This is very sure possible. BNB decentralized exchange just grew past Idex in terms of volume and that gets to signify that a lot of people are having keen interest on Binance. With such attention it is attracting, it can beat Ethereum.

BNB is a more realistic coin to hold and use for trading purposes but ethereum is a blockchain cryptocurrency and as far as blockchains are concerned ethereum is still the top and even if it gets toppled by another blockchain project that is definitely not going to be BNB.

In my opinion, BNB is also a potential coin even though it is classified as a new coin. As a new coin, BNB is able to compete with other crypto currency coins that are also great. I predict that the future of BNB coins is very good. Someday maybe BNB can compete tightly with eth. All the possibilities in the world of crypto currency so that a coin that wants to survive in the market should always make improvements to technology to be more powerful.

It's too early for Binance coin (BNB) if  want to defeat Ethereum at this time. I don't understand which side to look at, because Ethereum is very popular and has a lot of enthusiasm. Two factors we need to see before believe this or that person gonna lead. To create the token Smart contract is the major factor, because of that reason we have seen Ethereum reached 2nd level coin in the crypto industry.
Now ICO token can be created by the various crypto platform but ICO token not getting listed easily and most of the ICO does not seems trustworthy.

Most likely that will happen and even that is very likely that the BNB can defeat ethereum for the future. Indeed, I have seen ethereum's growth not been fast lately. And for BNBs, we already know that the growth is very fast compared to ethereum.

I think it's very possible for BinanceCoin can beat or replace Ethereum place for few year again, because BNB have big potential for that and backed by the largest cryptocurrency exchange Binance, when in Binance many big investor and whales that's why it's possible for BNB do that

I believe, beating ETH is a long way journey for BNB. ETH has continued growth as well and serving a lot of platforms or all sorts of projects. The dev team is very active also and they are not sleeping under the sun. The number of ETH users vs bnb users has wide gap for the moment. ETH is more popular no doubt.

Until now crypto market was unpredictable. We have seen so many changes around here, when we talk about possibilities they are endless and in my opinion anything can happen, even bnb beating ethereum.

It's high time we stopped such comparisons, it's unhealthy for crypto space.  CZ of Binance already made it clear on a twitter post that Binance chain is not competing with ETH in any way, that it won't support smart contract like Ethereum. BNB is doing great, yes, I'm holding some but Ethereum remains altcoin king, let's not forget that so soon.

BNB is so hot right now as the price has it continuously to pumps even the the issues come out about Binance hacking sentiments. But it won't stop  the people to invest bnb than of the others.

As far as I know, BNB is an ERC20 token based on the Ethereum blockchain, so BinanceCoin is highly unlikely to beat ETH. Ethereum is a platform for hundreds of different tokens and many people use this ecosystem every day.

A few months ago, BNB developers launched Binance DEX but in my opinion this decentralized exchange still does not look attractive to large investors. Some teams are now running their IEOs on the Binance and other crypto-currency exchanges so undoubtedly this is an advantage for the BNB price. Yes indeed. these days some good IEO are going in Binance. Every time they connect the BNB with new IEO. IF we do that with a good plan the BNB price will beat the Eth. But I don't think it will be happen in the near future.

BNB was at young age here in cryptocurrency compare to ethereum it is already have root in crypto industry and the ethereum platform is very strong and most of the project are using ethereum platform. Ethereum it uses in many aspect like paying transaction fee, purchasing online.[

In due time if binance will continue its progress chances to have more offers even there's no exact competitions yet between the service that this two
projects have to offers, binance have its own way to make its project be on top its everybody's speculations and owned assessment.

It's all go down if BNB can keep up, and Ethereum stops generating supports  from traders, BNB is a great coin and it's a coin that keeps moving forward, but Ethereum never stops updating and still the choice of companies wanting to launch their project in cryptocurrency, at this point of time Ethereum still deserves the second spot and BNB still had to inch their way in the third place.

I am not sure this will happen anytime soon. BNB yes trying and IEOs are on the binance launchpad and makes the BNB price move up. But ETH is in every exchange and its a payment gate way for so many coins.

BNB is competing, I can see the potential of this coin and will be bigger than ETH.

The purpose of the two coins are different so why compare them. There is not need for comparing the two coins even if BNB is doing very well. ETH has more features . Its  smart contract is useful to other altcoins while BNB is just a trading exchange

first of all both of them are exactly the same. they both offer the same platform and have huge supplies and both are centralized.

but none of that matters because this topic is more of an speculation about price (reflected in market cap) and for that the only feature that matters in a coin is its pumpability and since centralized coins all have the same pumping power, being newer and more hyped up right now BNB has the edge that is why it has been more profitable and have been seeing more pumps compared to ethereum.

I am sure that Binance is one of the best in the crypto sphere and BNB has a very promising future. But many draw these conclusions on the wave of a successful start in 2019. Ethereum has not been sharing a lot of news lately, but the work on the platform is in full swing and with the transition to a new algorithm, we will again see increased interest in the project.

I think BNB is a very good project. Binance pulled the market back to a lot of hot trends. They are developing an ecosystem around them. They had a list of projects they wanted to collaborate like: Services, stores, social networks, .... I invested a lot of my assets in BNB because I realized their potential.

BNB coin value is related or linked directly to Binance exchange which CZ always shill on his twitter acc ;D, last 9 years shown than not a single exchange could be top1 for long time, It was MtGox then Cryptsy Bittrex Poloniex .... where are they Now! For now, but once they have their mainnet live, we will see a major improvement for Binance.
Even and its current status now, you cannot call it just a exchange token because Binance token is one of the largest, if not the largest.

Whether ethereum will be able to defeat BNB will be shown only by time. But if we look adequately at the situation in the long term, it will be very difficult to beat ethereum. Ultimately, the battle will be not among users but among developers and teams. The best will win.

yes these two altcoins have great potential for investment, even today they have shown good price growth. I personally don't doubt the quality of this altcoin but I think ethereum is still far better than the BNB.

Ethereum has an erc-20 platforms while BNB had their own trading exchange. With those differences, personally I do not think BNB can still beat ETH. All erc20 tokens are relying on ethereum and this characteristic is a plus for eth. But then,we can not really say if BNB can surpass eth. BNB is still strong despite of the recent issue. And they are planning to launch and open margin trading. But whatever, I still do have trust with this two coins.

I will consider giving a yes or no answer after Binance chain working correctly but for now, eth stands best and BNB has nothing to compete with eth. I say yes and no. I think it's too late to judge. I'd have said an outright no if BNB had decided to remain on ethereum blockchain forever. however, now that that is moving to their native blockchain, it would be a tug of war. this is because binance would now have a lot of autonomy as to how to tweak their platform. eventually, they might even decide to do everything ethereum can do and more. However, when scalability issues are taken into account, ethereum's scalability might be slow but would be huge. ethereum might be underperforming now, but i have the belief that it is building momentum. ethereum has a lot of features which a lot of us don't even know about yet. there is no doubt that ethereum is not as fashionable as some other smart contract platforms out there, but ethereum blockchain still has a lot to offer in the future. hence, I believe it's too early to say for sure whether BNB will beat ethereum.

I like BNB, but I think Ethereum cannot be surpassed soon, because BNB is a financial coin, not a basic token, such as Ethereum. BNB may not be able to outperform ETH now, but perhaps in the future with proper planning this may happen.

I don't think this story is as difficult as you think because if we are talking about the reputation between ethereum and bnb, BNB has a great advantage when the power behind it is being shared by everyone and appreciated very well, ethereum is probably unfortunate in this period when its reputation is not too superior and improved. Before a heard eos will beat eth for me i think eth would be hard to beat because more people know eth already and has gain a lot of trust that their coin has great potential

In my opinion, it is not possible in the near future but BNB is the best coin and good candidate to investment there is no compare between BNB & ETH because of different platform.

Indeed, they are different platform but we are talking of the market spot here.
ETH is currently at no 2 now in the ranking, so BNB has to beat its ranking and will have to replace ETH for that, to see that happening, BNB has to increase 10 times from its current price now, which will only bring it to 370 usd, I see it's possible since BNB already have 6 times increase this year alone.

BNB cannot replace ETH. ETH market value is far greater than BNB. The only scenario for BNB is the release of many IEOs in Binance. But I don't think IEO will last long in the future.

not only the IEO, look at  binance dex where many new tokens from the etheruem blockchain migrate on the  binance blockchain. it is a bad thing which will benefit greatly is the BNB is not ETH. it is clear if there will be more coins migrating to the BEP I think it is not impossible that BNB will become increasingly expensive and even more expensive than ethereum.

If Ethereum now grows a lot during the ongoing bull run, I don't believe that any project will come close to it in the near future. They will use their advantage and build slowly but surely their ecosystem over time in a way that others have hardly any chance to compete with them.

Ethereum is more than a coin of the popular exchange and BNB will never surpass ether for this reason.

Many new coins swap in the Binance chain but now ethereum still holds control with a coinmarketcap 2 rating.

I do not think BNB can take Ethereum's place. Ethereum is the second after bitcoin and more popular of all altcoins for a reason. Although BNB is growing faster than ETH currently because of IEOs but still ETH is way popular than BNB.

BNB has proven it is a great coin with lot's of potential and we are all looking forward to seeing it pump even higher but to think it can beat Eth, I do not see that happening. Eth is well rooted and I do not see how BNB can beat it

If you would ask me 6 months before I would be laughing on you, but now things changed drastically. BNB has it's own chain, many projects are moving to binance chain. They will be listed on binance dex automatically.

If you asked the question q year earlier I would say it's not possible but at this time it has a chance I know it's hard to cross ethereum but binance coin has a great chance to cross ethereum. BNB was just a exchange coin with minimal work cases. But it's still binance native coin that's why it had its own space. But after binance announced binance chain and binance Dex the whole coin just exploded. And at this moment many big project already shifted to binance chain. And in near future their has a lots of chance that binance will rule this platform market.

The major selling point of ethereum is that's is a smart contract platform for developing new cryptocurrency projects. The ethereum blockchain is still the leader in this field. Binance chain however is not a smart contract and it is mainly a crosschain for trading on the binance DEX so they are not in direct competition with each other.

Currently BNB has moved very fast and currently occupies position 7 in CMC which proves that coins have very good quality for the long term and Binance is also one of the best markets for doing business in it.

I don't agree. Ethereum is way above Binance. Binance for now may be at the top but only insofar as their exchange is concerned. And mind you, the exchange ranking is very fluctuating. But in terms of blockchain and their platforms, Binance cannot simply equal Ethereum. The thing here is that Binance is a bit noisy everywhere, hype, media attention, and the like. But it only takes a quick browse over the internet and be amazed by which companies use the Ethereum platform. Ethereum is a legend, my friend.

In the end BNB will end up like IOTA, which has lost 90% of its value (against BTC) since the beginning of 2018. Ethereum is of a different league altogether. Ethereum was hyped/rised specially because of ICO market in 2017 which caused adoption but it could not sustain later that much.
Now BNB is the key asset of binance and have many use cases, with their own chain they have moved 1 more step ahead. Only thing they lack is smart contracts with multi usage like ethereum but for ICO/IEO you don't need that for now. CZ is implementing his strategy patiently as he says one thing at a time. So it will be rise in alt season but beating ethereum looks still difficult as of today.

Do you know that the BNB network does not support smart contracts and DAPPS? BNB can only be as strong as Binance. But the Ethereum has much more. I would understand if you compare Ethereum with EOS, Tron, IOST, XLM and NEO. But BNB! It's impossible to understand. I think it's just words to talk about.
