The latest altcoins news spreading on the internet now is altcoins investors will be disappointed ,popular crypto predictors are saying its time for people to start seeing bitcoin has the only lone wolf worth investing in and all altcoins will go nowhere.

My advice to all altcoins investors is not to panic ,these people as popular as they are can't predict the future, last bullrun of 2017 no one saw it coming and the last Almighty altcoins season of January 2018 no one ever think that will happened.

Not all altcoins are same and not all altcoins owner would be profiting and not all altcoin owners has had loss against bitcoin.
Most of the so called altcoins (any coin except bitcoin) are either scam, useless or are dead in advancement are only living in speculation and twitts.
Investors investing on those coins won't make a profit.

why should they? If we can remember very well, many bought bitcoin at its all time high in 2017 is yet to recover their investment so why will altcoins have to worry about its market conditions? the bitcoin market is yet to be stable

Pump and dump always been happened in altcoin price and this way can attract a newcomer especially new investor to choose investment in altcoin.

There is some altcoin which can be avoided from pump and dump scheme such as ETH or the coin which is in the top position.

I doubt the alt season will comes, since almost the altcoin price now still following bitcoin price movement.

I still hold a number of altcoins and I still hold this up. the altcoin that I hold is still the same price, there has been no change when the price of bitcoin is more than $ 10000. I still remain calm and believe that the altcoin that I hold will definitely return like the end of 2017.

this has been a fact for many years. it is not something new. but some people still fail to see it even today.
the problem isn't with news or anything and it is not a prediction. the problem is with the projects themselves. they are terrible. and majority of them are designed to be pumped and dumped not used. that is why they have no future.

That's right, we altcoin investors don't panic with such news.
altcoin is very worthy of being an investment like Bitcoin and of course it is very profitable.
because after all Bitcoin and Altcoin are cryptocurrency when Bitcoin rises then Altcoin will follow it automatically.

We can't be worried if we know that these coins have a good future but for those who are abandoned by its creator, will it sounds like we have to act something or throw it away. It happens several times, a lot of good prospect coins at the start becoming dead at this time. It is really worrying if we put big amounts.

of course we don't need to worry about that problem, altcoin is really very good to be an investment or Bitcoin.
we can say that if ETH, BNB, LTC is almost the same level as Bitcoin and with very good progress following Bitcoin.
so we don't need to worry about that.

Normally we can see Alt go down when the BTC goes up. Then you will see all the Alt start moving upwards. This is normal I think.

I think everyone who invests in altcoin knows this. coins other than bitcoin that have survived until now are due to speculation. and only a few are actually used. altcoin is good for short-term investments and all traders will definitely buy, so they will definitely not be disappointed if later they lose, because they already know the risk.

Good thing the OP did not say anything about holding those altcoins. He was right when he said to stay calm. In that way, we could think better whether it is time to sell or keep on holding.

I don't understand those who think that Bitcoin is the only crypto that has any future. Crypto (and blockchain) has a huge number of use cases, and I can't see that bitcoin will be the perfect answer to every single one. Smart contracts for example will surely be best on a platform that has spent years developing it specifically for smart contracts (eg, ETH). Fast payments will likely be best on a platform that has likewise spent years developing for that specific use case (eg. XRP).

Bitcoin is great, and I think likely to remain #1 in cap, but that doesn't mean all alts are useless.

yes, we don't have to panic, if we hodl the right altcoins my friend,

not all altcoins are profitable because altcoins have no potential to make them more profitable if your altcoins have the potential to invest, for even though the price drops you will not be worried because you are sure that the price will increase and your money will be higher.

I am still worried whether the altcoin will rise again after all this time has dropped dramatically, and whether altcoin can be a moment in January 2018. I am worried about that, but some of my friends are predictors that the altcoin will have time for up after bitcoin has increased in this June. Come on, stay optimistic that altcoin isn't dead and can run along with bitcoin.

Up to now the price of altcoins still not going up and most of the investors are now worrying about there investment but this is the crypto market how it works because it depends with the supply and demand, altcoins holders they should calm if there is bloody market happen.

Calm, I'm sure the alt season will come. We just wait until bitcoin has stabilized or in a sideway trend. Usually when the altcoin starts to rise, now traders and investors are still focused on bitcoin so we wait until the saturation point while preparing our flagship altcoin.

Things are certainly not looking good since 2018 and it's not because of the price fluctuations but because the team of most projects have stopped taking interest in developing their projects and hence their coins have been delisted from big exchanges. That's the reason I lost about 25 coins that were worth above $50k last year and now are worth nothing. Just see big projects like Boscoin and Spectre having almost no trading volume.

Thank you, sir, for your encouragement and I will join you to encourage the other holders that altcoins will recover and the only thing they need to do is to be patient with the market. I do put my hope on the assumptions that it is impossible for anyone to accurately predicts the way this market behaved as the crypto-market is got bigger by the day and things are changing and I think most of this coins are going to recover in no time. Altcoins are going to surprise us like it did early last year. Holding and preparing to hold for now should be the only advice I can give for now.

Yes I agree no one can predict about future. Even the people who are known as a crypto expert will not know what will happened next here in crypto industry. Altcoin holders will not have to panic and just stay calm because all we know that altcoin is a good coin and also a strong coin just hold and have lot of patience.

This statement has some truth inherent in it, it's undeniable, the fact that gradually altcoins are becoming unprofitable except for just a few, it's become a situation of high risk, little or no reward for altcoins investors.

I am calm about how my Altcoins will do in the future, Well because the rank is in a stable spot right now but not the movement of its price, I am pointing out the Top 10 coins on the Coinmarketcap right now that you may think that is a reliable investment option, But I am not a financial adviser that is my own opinion and it is up to you if you would take my advice about this, And because we are in the midst of the bull market run right now bitcoin will surely pull up some Altcoins in the market and that is a possibility.

another altcoin dumping season began and another wave of topics encouraging newbies into becoming bag holders by telling them about "patience" started! it is as if some people never want to learn that you should never encourage others to bag hold something that is dumping this hard specially when that thing was in a bubble and needed to be dumped in first place.
right now instead of being "calm" you should have been quick with the sells and then if you really believed there could be any recovery you could have bought when the dumps slowed down. in other words try to learn "how to trade" instead of bag holding and wishing for the rise to come.

I don't bite that if you check some of the other altcoins in the market, like Ethereum Eos Eterbase and other altcoins you will see the ROI ranges from 10 to 2000% I don't think these altcoins will ever die it will stay and continue to grow along side Bitcoin.

Many people advice newbies and others to invest in bitcoin when it comes to investing in cryptocurrency. No doubt bitcoin is a secured investment and has much potentiality. But some altcoins are also good investment like Ethereum, BNB, Ripple EOS. So called crypto experts predict. But it is not like their predictions are always true.

I agree that no one can predict the future of the coin properly. Many predict, but wrong predictions. At the moment the price of Bitcoin and Ethereum is down, maybe tomorrow will rise again, or it can go down again from the current price. Just relax, don't panic.

This is a hard test for every altcoin holders, if they are belong to weak hands, then no doubts that they could think of quitting rather to stay strong.

But, there is no harm in predicting because everyone must have their own way of estimating opportunities in the future and for other people who read the opinions of those who give their predictions, don't be easy to believe and do your own research about the coins that you have to continue to be held and will be able to provide benefits.

They said the same thing in 2017 too ... I recall several 'pundits' claiming btc would crush altcoins and take over the entire market. And we saw what happened in 17/18. Now some alts will die, some will do great, but nobody knows really what will happen. I also look at human nature -- there will always be a market for alt coins as some folks are looking for a 'lottery ticket'. If/when BTC gets into crazy prices, only thing left for most are alts.

So basically all one can surmise from these sort of predictions is that whomever is stating something has their own best interests in mind -- and have no real clue what will happen. Alts will get crushed = person holds BTC. BTC is worthless = person wants to buy BTC cheap. BTC will go to a million = guy has an awful lot of BTC to sell.

Time will come for alts, it might take long but it will definitely come with Bitcoin leading the way as always. Most alts will die off but the ones who survived will make holders rich let's see how far it can go this year.

I agree with you that we cannot trust anyone and read this news in which there is almost no truth, this is also not the most reliable place for new data in our time, so we just have to wait and follow the cryptocurrency market, because the big players with manipulators will still start pumping altcoins anyway.

Very true points you made here. Altcoin season will still come, it just requires patience. I understand BTC is king but it doesn't mean other coins are irrelevant, there are many cool altcoins to have on one's portfolio.  So if you are holding altcoins and panic sell especially at dip when you see FUD flying around, you might regret it in the long run. 

I think there is a need for altcoin holders to stay strong and be positive on their expectation. There is no need for anyone to be intimidated on the feud news that is pervading everywhere. The way things happen in crypto many times is something that is unpredictable by anyone. There is still hope for alrcoins as regards rise in market price. We need to stay focused and understand the reason why we are doing crypto. It does not matter how long it will take for altcoin to rise, all we need is patience. It may seem as if its a dry season for altcoins now but very soon, I believe the raining season will come. Hence, altcoin holders need not to worry but should rather be optimistic and expect better days to come for altcoins.

You are right and i think the same way and we have already seen the trend and pattern that first it is the brc and then eth and alts seem to be the last to get the bulls effect that comes from overall bulls in the market.

The difference of the last 2017 altcoin bullrun and today is that more are expecting it to happen than the last time. Don't you think the the whales aren't bagging them too?
Mind you, with just an increase of few cents, these whales are going to keep the price low as possible for them to accumulate a ton of these coins. It will be an uphill battle compare to BTC, ETH, EOS and LTC and all those big cap coins.

If the crypto portfolio of the inverter are coins of fraudulent projects. Then these coins are real rubbish, which never grows in value. And those who have such coins need to worry and urgently sell such garbage at any price.

Astor me,I have been calm, have read a lot of news about the altcoin market and how bad it will turn out. I don't see any reason for panics and I will advise everyone to hold strong and wait for the right time.  No need to panic sell toward regret later.

I'm a proud altcoin holder ,either altcoin bull starts soon or not it doesn't bother me at all because all the altcoins I'm holding have potentials and I'm sure they aren't pump and dump coins like the rest

Of course it is too early to decide about the future of Altcoin. I think that altcoin are still pretty much in demand like ETH and BNB. In addition, ETH blockchain in in tremendous use by countries like Canada and the US for ensuring the transparency of their financial sector. Moreover, if you pay for the transaction fee of Bitcoin in the form of BNB, you will get subsidy on Binance which means that Altcoin is in huge use.

   There are similar news on the internet. In my opinion all that is one big spreading of FUD! I don`t think that alt-coins are finished, there is a long way
ahead of them. Many of alt-coins we know now will fail, we already know that, but some of them will be very successful in the future. It`s not a big

Holding will not be forever, seeing some profits might be good enough to make sell it and just re-invest once it drops down again.

One of the characteristics that we must have when entering or holding altcoins or even Bitcoin is being calm and patients. With those, we will panic and be impatient that lead to selling out our altcoins during the down market price. This will really influence the market and make it more down.

Yes the panic amateurs really will have to panic and doesn't have control and patience. And if they would seek advice from different groups that help them gain confidence, I think they'll recover their loss actually. Bitcoin was the biggest loser for the past two days until about 15 hours ago,,, now it is over 10% in gains, while some alts are also showing around 2 to 3% while some are even just losing more.

If we hold altcoins that have good products and large liquidity, I don't think we need to worry about the current altcoin price movements. Bitcoin dominance on the market is still very high and in my opinion that domination will go down after the altcoin price rises

I agree, the altcoin price is currently depressed by the rising price of bitcoin in 2019. Maybe after the bitcoin price began to slump, the altcoin price will rise and reduce the dominance of bitcoin on the market. LOL, this are all part of the tactics we bitcoin holder use in creating pump for bitcoin, we are already in bitcoin uptrend and now is that time to keep the pump alive till we set another new ATH, so we should really not be seeing some of these news as threat, with or without that news, bitcoin is the domination crypto for the moment, and altcoins season will come.

Although to an extent, they are quite right, not all the altcoins we see now will survive another 5 years, while bitcoin will continue to remain the most recognized cryptocurrency for now and till decades, but we still have some altcoins too that can stand the test of time, and most of these coins are the ones still within the top 50 on the coinmarketcap, those ones have a very useful working product that will always attract users and investors to them.

I think this can be considered a missing out. You could gain profits simply holding Bitcoin rather than holding altcoins. I advice you not to remain calm, but to be more resolute and to trade your coins or tokens, fixing your profits in stable coins such as Tether.

In addition to what you had mentioned, is that Bitcoin may increased its price value from time to time just like what happened on 2017, but it doesn't mean to all altcoins investors are already loss. Of course not, especially if the coins you hold is promising one just like Ethereum, Ada, Neo, Waves, Pundix, and Bch.

Based on the price in https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/bitcoin/ in 2013, the value was 100 usd  and I think that's the first year it was recorded in value but I was read bitcoin was already traded before with less than a dollar in value.

So from less than a dollar and it reaches 100 usd, that's a big achievement already and that's a good value, but bitcoin does not stop, it continue to grow.

Prevent losses due to stupid orders and tradings with altcoins for now is the most priority to do. I do agree with you that altcoins will rise later, so we should not lose any coins due to bitcoin bull run, that in turn partially forced the price of altcoins falling. Trading with exchange is better than trading with marginal tradings because we won't be under pressure of price manipulation and liquidiation.

Their is nothing wrong if altcoins are still not climbing up. As long as you believed that the altcoins you have invested in are profitable and has a good potentials, nothing to worry about. Just like ethereum, how many times did I see ETH following btc's pump movements. Some altcoins are jusy late performing bullish run. Waiting for the right pump is the only choice we have if we want to achieve our goal target.

I don't react much on crypto predictors because this is highly unpredictable market and nobody is perfect. I have extreme patience level of holding my coins but such negative predictions disappointing us to some extent & I don't want to panic myself I will remain calm. When the delist happens meaning the volume doesn't reach to what it is required to mantain the listing thus also means most of people already cashed out their money, if you happen to still hold it maybe you just missed the train.

Altcoins have experienced many highs and lows in the past but they still exist. Every time it reaches the bottom it bounces back and even become more bearish in the market. Just because altcoins are not increasing drastically like bitcoin some of these so called experts are predicting bitcoin is the only crypto that is worth to hold. Bitcoin is indeed a good coin and profitable if you invest and hodl especially for long period but altcoins are profitable too. I highly doubt this statement. Sure there are many alt coins right now in the market, but most of them are just scams. Only the top 50 are worth it or maybe top 100. Rest are far from getting any pumps, in my opinion. And I believe the statement is true for some alt coins that are proven to be a scam, while others that are holding their top position, we will hopefully soon see a pump up in their prices.

People write MOST Altcoin are scam. Scam means someone want to cheat you directly. When you look wide, not on CMC website (listing there has only to do with their personal opinion and the opinion was wrong often) but e.g. on coingecko or coinlib you see about 4000 Altcoin.

Yes, lately, a lot of altcoins have been delisted from exchanges, and they have not quite died, and they are still bargaining for others, and there is such a commission for conclusion that it makes no sense to withdraw them. IMO, a consolidation has begun in the cryptocurrency market, after the fragmentation during 2017-18. Most of the whales are selling their altcoin holdings and purchasing Bitcoin. And this will get magnified as the next block reward halving approaches. Look at the exchange data. The trade volumes for alts have gone down quite heavily when compared to 2017.

Another factor is that for many of the altcoins, the developers and communities are not as active as they used to be. Obviously there are exceptions such as Litecoin and Ethereum, but for the majority of the alts the promoters have gone AWOL with the cash they earned during the pump of 2017.

I was a victim of the Labcoin scam (2013). Some of the users organized themselves and started the legal process against the promoters. But more than 5 years have passed and the legal process was given up (if I am not wrong) after the expenses mounted without any significant improvement in the situation. And Labcoin is just one of the thousands of scams we had in the cryptocurrency market.

But what happened with Labcoin was unique. In most of the cases, the victims don't have enough financial power and unity to launch lawsuits. They are forced to forget about their investments and move on.

So when weighing risk/reward, most probably are better off holding and just hoping the alt market eventually recovers. Now if folks can escape breaking even or with a minor profit, it's a different story, but I don't think most traders are in that position right now.

I can't help but notice that the market cap of the stable coins (USDT, USDC, TUSD, PAX.etc) are rising steadily. Tether is now the 7th largest cryptocurrency in terms of market capitalization. So that means that users are selling their altcoins not just for Bitcoin, but also for fiat cash and stablecoins. IMO, the best thing is to play safe now.
