because facebook is a network which is managed by CIA, and not only CIA, there are many more agencies those are tracking you, including all of your activities, and furthermore, facebook does not care about your privacy, last year, facebook sold 250+ million users data.

There's a difference between having your information sold for marketing purposes and them fully having access to your whole pc so they can steal funds. I have no doubt that whether you use Facebook or not, the CIA could steal your Bitcoins out of your wallet if they really wanted. Look, I'm not a fan of Facebook in any way, but they're not going to be stealing your coins anytime soon. However, the thought of them having their own currency with the privacy concerns they have now is laughable.

You mean, we need not to disclose some of our privacy in facebook? If they doesn't care the privacy that we had, what's the purpose of their security access protection? and other ways of log-in like the google authentication option prior access to our account.
I wondered why these agencies will going to track us, since I am not linked with any crimes or whatsoever. Those individuals that has been target for this was only for a case to case basis, and as per understanding you're not subjected to tracking if you're not a target for government's scrutiny process.

Lets be honest over here. We all know like more than 70% people out there don't give a flying fuck if "CIA" or other agencies are tracking them. They don't care at all if they track all their activities. They don't even know what online privacy is and why it is important.

For someone who only uses Facebook to look at memes and keep myself updated with current events and entertainment, I'm not really into putting any important information to worry about my safety. I mean, it should be automatic that your information is greatly at risk in any social media platform and people should be aware of that. Too late to warn people because billions of people already using this platform but I’m sure not just bitcoin even google are spreading our information so we are no longer safe online. Actually not all but the majority of social media platform are prone to leak of privacy because we can't control who will access our data. The best solution is to limit the information
that you will input on your social media account. Many of us use social media platform as diary or log book of our daily activities which can be used by criminals to plan something bad to us.
There is some social media app that offers a secured and private connection. The problem is how you will let your friends use that platform so that they can chat and connect you there.

Just don't put alot in social media, I prefer to read and chat only in social but not to tell information about me. Posting and putting a lot of your details can really harm us. It's no wonder that facebook suggest some ads related to what I just research in google recently so it's really connected in many apps. Don't send your private notes thru social media it's much better to use email. I don't use social media for crypto realated as it can easily be hacked by anyone and been into news of how many users got problem in it.

Honestly, privacy is an individualized thing. If you truly wanted to remain private, you would throw your phone and computer out the window, The fact is millions and billions will continue to use Facebook, but maybe a bit of privacy education would help. You can use Facebook and not also leak your nude pictures online. The main point here is that no matter how you hide your information to the public, the government and agencies already know it if you put too much information on your profile. If you saw the video of Mark Zuckerberg answering all the questions thrown at him on the news then you would probably know that facebook is not really safe to store your personal information.

In any app and social media, we should be careful if we don't want our personal info to be known by those criminals that they will use for illegal activities, well, I am not that quite into facebook too, most of the time I am just using messenger to keep in touch with my friends and relatives, other than that, I don't usually post my activities, and don't upload much of my photo. From now on, will not use my personal photo anymore too and will delete my albums as well as some of my personal info written in my Bio.

I think if you are sharing your personal information online at any social networking site then you are not at all safe. It was just that facebook was caught rest of the sites have been doing this and have never been caught. I don't think it is managed by CIA but yes CIA might have access to complete data of users. This isn't a secret trying to be hidden from people, in fact you could even notice it by yourself because there are instances that facebook will show you advertisements being timely relevant, surprisingly known by facebook when in fact you only talked about it with one person on your facebook messenger, was that a coincidence? Nope, I don't think so. Now that people knew about it, of course they won't stop uaing the app just because of that but they could take caution and filter out informations that they are spilling upon using it.

I have uploaded a lot of pictures already before I learned its not safe there. Even with google account is also not safe. If there is any solution to this I probably have done it already but deleting pictures and deactivating facebook profile doesn't help as well because, its all there still. They just don't make my date available for all but its there still.

To be honest, if the government really wanted to find out about your crypto holdings, I don't think there's really a whole lot you can do about it. Do you have any proof regarding to this claim? If you don't have any then this accusation is useless and perhaps you could be charged for spreading false information. Seriously, this is no longer a new thing, almost everyone knows that Facebook is no longer safe. Even your account can be hacked. I have seen this happen a lot of time to people; hackers will take over their account and change their passwords, and then start to use that account to deceive their friends and all those of rubbish. Sometimes they will hack it and delete every piece of information you have saved there.

I already know that Facebook is selling users information, and not just to CIA as you have said, also to advertisers. I have seen officers show up at someone's house due to a comment on Facebook,  lol, that's when I learnt to respect myself. the fact that Facebook is permitted in all countries, and has a clear office, makes me think that they won't sell data from their users, especially if there is so much fake data there. In addition, Facebook currently has a very large income, even competing in other large companies. You do sound so sure with your words but you don’t have anything to back it up which is quiet appears to me that you are just spreading fake news or rumors if I would be blunt. Though, on the other hand, I don’t encourage people to store their private keys or anything important through messenger, telegram or anything to do online. You should always prefer to store these kind of information physically or even a gadget where it would never be connected to the internet in order to avoid any malicious snooping people which would invade your privacy and security.

It has been known for a very long time that Facebook does in fact sell information about their users or at least allows government agencies to get access to it, but people do not seem to care, it is as if they have just give up and as soon as anyone ask for personal information they just give it to them, it is this attitude that has allowed icos that were clear scams to get away with their crimes and it is one of the biggest obstacles for the success of this market.

What exactly is the danger? The CIA already owns all the data on its citizens. Of course, there is nothing pleasant in the fact that someone can read your data if necessary.
However, such a need will not arise if you do not break the law. In any case, for those who are very much concerned about their privacy, there are whole instructions in the web about how to stay anonymous, especially in the USA.

Aren't you afraid that it might be your personal information that is being sold in the black market by the CIA? Including your phone number, address, emails, friends and families? Well, if you don't value your privacy then it's fine you can use their controlled platforms but I wouldn't share any personal information online since I know they do have some access to the social media platforms.

I think only those who value their privacy will do the safety first method because not everyone will hide their real identity if they were just an ordinary people. But for those people who have names to protect I think social media platforms is not for them. I didnt know that that Mark Zuckerberg turned over the rights to operate Facebook to CIA, if you have a solid piece of evidence why not post here so we can learn from it. One thing I know of this online companies are spending millions of dollars to improve their site security because they know if someone screamed that their personal information was sold to another without them knowing, they could be out of business anytime. Where's the evidence? You got the big confidence out there. Anyway thank you for reminding us but I don't think facebook isn't safe they cannot even deploy their platforms without undergoing all test and stuff. Only 1% of the population here will see this topic over 100+ million people in my country. We are so very addicted in using facebook app. What do I want to say? Only few people can understand what OP saying. In fact, even he said about data stealing, many people who saw this will ignore what he said. Facebook is a good platform that connects millions of people around the world. And even it has issue from data stealing, many users will always use it.

No platforms are safe. Everything can be hacked, even huge companies like NASA that once been hacked by a single person. It is just a matter of your own security. To be very honest, this is a bit unfair with Mark. He is not the only puppet in hands of NSA and the higher authorities. Well all of the major US company basically the same, they always gather every single pieces of information and will eventually give it away to the US. I kinda agree though the backlash to Mark is kinda unfair because he's the only one going to court while the rest of major corporate are still gathering information everyday. Well, I am not sure this is the correct thread for this topic but even if Facebook was owned by the CIA, I don't see what difference it possibly makes because what would they do with the data? It's not like that want to steal my credit card details to rob me of my funds or sell my information to the black market, infact I would feel better if the CIA owns Facebook and not an individual who could do anything he wants with the information he cultivates (and he has done it before), moreover from what we know (atleast from movies and books), it seems they have superior hacking skills and equipment and can get any information they want.

It's better to always look after your securities and not to allow anything to invade your privacy, if there's leak then better to not to take

Haha I like that and obviously we agreed on their terms and conditions when we signed up and living up on new technology I guess we somehow knew that anytime Facebook system can be hack. To be honest, just about everything is making us give away our personal information these days. Even the KYC documents we have to submit to all of these exchanges are basically doing the same thing. I don't see Facebook messing with any crypto wallets or stealing any users funds, but do expect them to sell your personal information to the government and advertisers. Not much different than I expect all of the KYC information to be used for.

With Facebook, I think the security has been left to the individual to take charge of by themselves, and the only way that hackers can hack into Facebook is not through the main database but hack into our personal account.

For Facebook security generally, I think that they have one of the best security that I have ever since and If you really watch, I don’t think that Facebook has actually had any issue with security ever since that they have started operation, the only issue that they have had is that of the one they are being accused of selling people’s data and the reason is because they are monetizing the selling off the date for their own benefit. Just recently there was a whole breach in my country as well and they had to pay restitution to cover it up. Now think about it for a second, there are people who have billions of data points of millions of people in my country all because facebook lacks security and what do we get in return?

Nothing, government just punishes facebook with penalty and that money probably goes to crooked politicians in the end anyway so all of our data is stolen and sold to people and we have nothing in return. Facebook does not have to sell our data to the government. Such a large database must be under the supervision of government agencies, so if the CIA is involved, it is rather to watch over the security of our data, and not to buy or steal it.

I think its not true because our identity in facebook are not full information and some are not real. Others using dummy account so why you said that facebook is not safe?  Your the only one can know your true identity and facebook are not complying you to give your full information. And many people are using facebook so you don't stop them to use it.

Yes, I have known this news for quite some time and since then I have been wary of facebook or instagram. All information about my work is discussed and stored on telegram, I think it is the only chat app that is most trusted and will not steal user information.
and I encourage people to use telegram when working in the crypto market, because facebook is quite easy to hacked and they can know your information easily.

Facebook has become the avenue for information investigation or research. Its really become part of our lives. Personally, I'm using it and I just always make sure to think before what will I post. On the other side relating crypto to facebook, I guess somehow they can trace you. But this should be like a warning to you. They will exactly not listen to your warnings and will still use facebook despite of what you have said. When we are online our data privacy is vulnerable and our personal information is at risk of being stolen and not only our infos but also there are some surveys or quizzes that can be seen in facebook that when you answer, it stores the collected data and used it for other things without our permission.
