What is confusing with a name? Greek word, and Greek words are popular as well as Latin words.
Yes, there is coin with a similar name, but it was called Transcendence in past, you can see it in the thread.
And for some people who are new to crypto it might be easy to mix Telos and Tezos, right now the latter is higher in Coinmarketcap, but if you see Telos itself is #280 right now and as I'm actively reading Telos telegram - I'm confident that it's already popular coin and will become very popular.

In simple words - Telos has no transactions fees, no CPU problem like EOS faced, easy way to create free accounts, #2 on blocktivity. So it makes Telos very good platform for dapps, some dapps are there already, some are moving, and I expect the bigger rise when the general blockchain dapps quantity and quality rises.
Also in Telos there is great governance, you can vote for amendments and for work proposals (how the Telos budget will be used) and you can submit your proposals as well.

It should be have individual shipping fee, because the distance between countries is not the same. Most of the world wide store, it will require us to choose where country to be delivered and the product price then fee will shown up. If there isn't, of course they will add this feature.

Work has begun among a global group of contributors on Agerona, an open-source tool to address the global health crisis

There is perhaps no more pressing problem for technologists to tackle right now than the COVID-19 crisis that is threatening lives and economies around the world.
In that spirit, Genobank.io and the Telos Foundation have partnered to develop an open-source app that will allow users to securely source low-cost COVID-19 testing. The results will be stored anonymously on the Telos blockchain, where each user will control their own data and have the ability to share their results with researchers, if they choose, using health privacy and a new token from Genobank.io.
A global, multidisciplinary team has been collaborating remotely in recent weeks, working in sprints to build a new mobile app for users, a processing interface for laboratories, a privacy-ensuring blockchain architecture, and sourcing and logistics solutions for low-cost COVID-19 tests and processing. The initial version of the app is expected to launch in April.
Any Agerona mobile app user will be able to find a source for the test kits in their country and order separately from the app to further enhance anonymity. When a user receives the test, they can scan the test’s unique barcode and associate that test with a free, anonymous account on the Telos blockchain which the user alone controls. The test kit can then be anonymously sent to a verified lab for processing. The receipt and processing of these tests will be tracked on Telos for transparency. Results will be written to the blockchain, but with no connection to any individual. Researchers will be able to read aggregate data from the system along with minimal geographic information (country and postal code, if provided) in order to better track the progress of the disease.
While testing is beginning to ramp up around the world, there is a growing concern that people outside health care systems or in marginalized populations may resist testing efforts due to fears of government action towards infected persons of various legal statuses. Genobank.io CEO Daniel Uribe and Telos contributors Douglas Horn and Suvi Rinkin originated the project to address these needs in the United States, but as new contributors came onboard, it became clear that this would need to be a global effort and rollout. Project contributors are based in the US, Iran, Israel, South Africa, the UK, and a rapidly growing list of other countries. International organizations are already expressing great interest in supporting the project. All open source components will be available to anyone to use and expand. Telos Foundation will work with teams in various countries that want to work with the official Agernoa by Genobank.io project to set up test kit supply and processing logistics in their country through the Agerona mobile app and website.

Telos Blockchain to Host Coronavirus Testing App

With the coronavirus pandemic continuing to hit hard, Telos has launched an initiative with Genobank.io to create an app, Agerona, that will help users gain access to low-cost testing.

The Telos blockchain will store the results anonymously, allowing users to share results with healthcare providers if they choose.

The app will be open source and offers users full control over their data. A new token issued by Genobank.io will be launched along with the app, set for an April release.

The full infrastructure will include “a mobile app for users, a processing interface for laboratories, a privacy-ensuring blockchain architecture, and sourcing and logistics solutions for low-cost COVID-19 tests and processing.”

Agerona to Enhance Coronavirus Tracking, Protect Privacy

The Agerona app will help users locate testing kits to order.

Telos network partners with Transform Group for public relations

To improve public exposure for the Telos ecosystem, block producers on the Telos network have voted to partner with Transform Group, a global firm with unique public-relations expertise in the blockchain space.

Transform has represented more than 200 blockchain companies, organizations, and projects since 2013. Over that stretch, they have helped launch more than 100 initial coin offerings comprising over 37 percent of the global crypto market’s total capitalization, including Tether, Ethereum, and Dash.

In keeping with the ethos of the Telos network, the partnership was encouraged and catalyzed by block producers acting collectively. Marlon Williams, founder of Telos Miami, originally proposed the idea and spearheaded efforts to adopt a formal proposal submitted by Transform. Telos Works 2.0 - Updated Proposal System

As an element of governance some blockchains have proposal systems. Telos Work Proposal System (WPS) built on Telos Decide software is one of the most advanced and interesting ones. I actively researched it, participated, and even submitted a proposal and it passed the vote. But the development process is always going on and recently Telos updated the system to 2.0

I will tell you about the main changes.

Now Telos accounts vote with staked TLOS not the liquid TLOS

If you stake TLOS at REX - you receive rewards around the level of 15% APR. If you believe in the long-term success of Telos than of course it's reasonable to keep your Telos not in exchange but in a wallet and stake it for additional rewards. In past liquid Telos and staked to CPU/NET was counted for voting, but not staked to REX (new name - Telos Rewards). This was something that many Telos holders asked to change. Yes, it was possible to move staked TLOS back to liquid, vote, and then stake again. But it took time and also loss in rewards. So this is a big change and very reasonable, because it's logically for long-term holders to stake and take part in governance.

To submit a proposal - you need to update to SQRL 1.2.1 version of this wallet.

To submit a proposal you will need to pay 5% of the proposal budget +30 TLOS submission fee. Return of fee is only possible if minimum vote support of 35% "YES" is reached.

It is possible to add milestones (In past there were "Cycles", but now this is improved)

To check proposals, to vote and submit your WP - go to the "Governance" tab in SQRL wallet and then to "Proposals".


Right now as the WPS 2.0 is very new you might see not many proposals there. Both voting and submitting the proposal are very easy, but if you are new to Telos, blockchain area, or just feel you need a step-by-step guide, you can watch these videos.
