Every single telegram channels or groups of crypto exchanges are tagged by scammers, be extremely careful

The moment you have a problem with an exchange you will instantly get messages from people claiming to be team of the exchange, you can get the following messages

1. How can we help you?
2. What problem are you facing on our exchange?

They will pretend to be the exchange help service and they will ask you to make deposit to get your issue resolved, honestly if you aren't familiar with scammers you can easily fall victim

Group channel of exchanges like binance, kucoin, Okex, huobi are full of scammers waiting for people that needs the team help to resolve an issue, be wise

Admins of top exchange group, even Bounty groups do not pm first, if anyone pms you first offering a cheap sale or to help you. Block asap.

Never give out your private key to friends or strangers

I nearly fall for one last time, I lose access to my kucoin account that consists of thousand dollars of Bitcoin mainly for trading and I had to go on KUCOIN telegram channel for help and strange people start texting saying and asking details about some key, I knew it's scam but the issue got resolved later, I just hit the block button lol

You are very right,thanks for the sensitization, these scammers would go at any length to reap one of his earnings,newbies really needs to be careful,once you ask if an admin in such exchange telegram group,before you know it, you will have loads of private messages acting like they are the admin. We really need to be careful
 

Even it's an old way to scam still some people fall for it. But, you can easily determine if the person who contacted you is a scammer or not and for me, it by just looking in their username. It usually happens to me like once I join in telegram group then, later on, I will get a message from an unknown person and it will ask me if I have some background about investment and sometimes he wants me to invest in their website. But, I know it's a scam that's why I avoid seeing some messages that came from an unknown person.

Do not ever fall with this and put on your mind, do not ever talk to someone that you didn't know if ever it asks for investment and he wants you to send some funds, trust me you need to click the report button because its a scam. Kindly, make sure to put a lot of time on doing research so you can't end up dealing with a scammer.

Scammers will find a way just to catch their prey and take advantage of it. Yes, the telegram channel might be a way to make it possible because they can easily copy admin names and use this to fulfill their bad intentions. But if we are aware of this kind of play and knowing the people that we are talking and sending a message in the telegram, it can save us from the possibility of being a compromise in the next days.

That everyone needs to be attention is when they/someone comes to you and ask about money or deposit eventually you will be scammed. Because if someone behind the team (in this case the exchange team) won't ever ask you money to resolve the problem, they will guide you step by step the problem that you head. And other than that, when you have an account on an exchange you have to be careful when you join the telegram group of the exchange. You have to come to the real website of the exchange itself, and it will be wrong if you have a problem on your exchange and you ask on the random telegram group then you are wrong.

I will not care for people who suddenly send messages to my telegram, I usually just ignore it. If I need help I usually go directly to their official website because surely they have customer service. Don't trust someone who suddenly sends a message offering help.

When strangers talk to you on telegram you can just hear them out, there is no way scammers won't end up talking about 'deposit coin to an address', they always end up giving you goosebumps lol, let's be careful

I hope I still have the print screen of those scammers back then.
It was a problem that I want to resolve with one ICO group.
They knew I have the tokens, a large amount. Suddenly, they come popping up on my telegram. Pm'ed me telling they are part of the group and they could help.
Same goes with one exchange, IIRC it was OKex telegram group. A lot of scammers are just waiting for their opportunity there.

This is an old trick that used by scammer. I think the team is also already created awareness of they will never try to ask anyone to send even a little amount for them. Just to make sure never try to deal with anything that forced you to send any amount for him because he is actually a scammer. The team is also never tried to asking the private data like privatekey too.

It's not a new trick and people still fall for it, the moment anyone on telegram text you first something is damn wrong, they text you to make advantage of you, strangers don't just appear in your life without aims

I think these scammers will always have a way in but of course it will depend on you. Set up your account or setting that not everyone can easily send you message. There is a privacy option where you can do it. Normally these people will message you and try to start a conversation but just click the report as spam and dont ever prolong the discussion. Chances they are not just concern for some query you are asking on a majoe group but have plans on deceiving you.

Yes it's true, there are ways to block off any incoming messages from anyone unless you message them first, just head to the telegram privacy settings, it's all there, this is the only way to be spam free

Right. there are indeed many scammers who appear on the telegram channel looking for victims they want to use. it is hard to detect their presence. therefore we need to be careful in responding to it especially with the offer they submit to potential victims who do not make sense.

Exchange group admins are meant to respond to complaints in the group and not outside the group, except in cases that are personal.
I for one believe that, even if you have personal issues to resolve, most exchanges have support widgets on their exchange sites, where you can submit all of your details without asking for a fund in return.  Well, that is my belief.
Avoid conversing with, whether admin or no admin in private. Even if you are sure that the person talking with you is an admin, if such asks for money, it is still a scam. The reason being that exchanges usually make their admins to where the tag "admin will never as for fund".

its not only on exchanges telegram group but they spreaded in any crypto telegram group. they trying to find victim by creating many offer to telegram member .for example in bounty thread, they offer to buy token reward with good price . victim that didnt understand the risk ofcourse will interested this offer. they didnt need to wait long time to exchange their token. it just simple example how scammer will work in telegram group.

They can be spotted easily though, just when you know they are asking for deposit you will already know the guy on the other end isn't the support you want. These scammers will always think you are a newbie which is why they tend to make you do things only a newbie will fall. 

What you should do is always go to the pinned message in the telegram group and read what he is saying because usually they list the right user to PM.

Just contact the legit members of the exchange's management.

AFAIK, there will be tags of scams if the telegram account has been reported by various people. This also happens for the coinomi support and any other popular service that's being used by many crypto people.

this is a reason why telegram channel is not good for communication since there are many scammers always waiting for another victim that they can fool.
Its always happen not only in exchange support but in other group also even ico or any crowdfunding group.

The better way to contact directly the support in email if you have a problem than using a telgram group for contact.

1. No one from the exchange will ever ask you for a password (they see your account in their CRM by the email you provided them with)
2. No one will ask you via any application for sending any cryptos, no one will give you any address there
3. If you have any issues - ask directly on website's chat (if available) or email them officially. Not via facebook - as often social media may be outsourced to a third party.

Hmm, scammers always try to discover ways of scamming. This is one way of them. Always we need to avoid such messages if the person send message upfront. And always try to find out correct person for solving any issue.

Yes, this is the truth! I have faced this problem every time when I asked help in any familiar crypto exchange group! This is why all the exchange's admin wrote in their name that Admin won't pm you first! Binance did a great job, to prevent these shit scammers, binance closed all the help services from telegram! If you need any kind of help, you have to ask through Binance website help desk, not in telegram group!

It's always safer to write to support team on exchanges instead of going to telegram where scammers are patiently waiting for their preys or just block direct messages on telegram, ICO teams or exchange teams will never PM you first

It happened to me a lot after asking about some concern on exchange groups more than 5 users will contact me they're either copying the name of the admin and avatar or pretending to be part of the team and asking for credentials and information about you and your concern.

I'm so fed up with this and pranking them always trying to go with the flow and pretending that I'm so stupid that they will finally gave up and say something unnecessary to me.

This is why I don't really tread too far in communications in people. Why would they require a "deposit from you to get the issue resolved"? That is just indeed adding alcohol to the wound you made. I wonder how many people fell for these stupid trap.
Avoid telegram if there's more of an alternative reach to these popular platforms like their official e-mail if they have any. Although they might link their own Facebook page, I don't recommend people to have a communication there. Many pages are faked so easily.

I get this kind of message every day. If I reply to something in an Exchange group like Binance, the scammers come to my inbox and claim to be a support team. These scammers never trap me. And this is an old tactic we all know why they give private messages!

That's the safest way nowadays, telegram is full of scammers now! Not only this, scammers have many unique plans to steal people's money. I have never seen any other platform that has more scammers than in telegram! It is always safe to contact through the email or the help desk direct through the exchange support! If someone needs quick help from telegram then they must have checked the username first, no admins pm first!

That's it, they lurk around exchanges because it is easier to see people who might have issues and at the same time people who might be ignorant of the ways of scammers. And just like you said and to contribute as well, people should be aware of who they reply to; admins don't send PM first, it is the duty of the person with the issue to send the PM. Secondly, admins will never ask for ETH or any form of payment. Lastly, make sure you see the admin tag before sending a PM and be sure to take note of your first message once the admin replies to be sure you are chatting with the right person and not a clone.

Not only exchanges this trend has been growing in all projects telegram channels where as soon as you ask a question or resolution to your issue atleast 2 to 3 messages pop up all claiming to be official people and in the end they will ask you to deposit certain amount of coins like eth or btc to their wallets so they can resolve your issue, every person should spot and report these scammers.

I have experienced the same thing recently, i am in Crypterium telegram channel, it is a wallet and crypto card based project, i was inquiring about the crypto card in their channel and was looking for official response vut at the same time i received DMs from some ids that were fake vut using the same names and avatars as real admins, i tried to check their admin tags and was not found, secondly, the admins in the official channel never DM anyone first, it is in their rules, so it was easy to spot scammers and that is why i ignored them and deleted their post.

This is very common not even on top exchanges telegram alone but also on the bounty telegrams.  I have received a lot of private messages from scammers claiming to be an admin from a particular project or the other, once I see them I block them immediately.  Recently a scammer messaged me and said he wanted to help me with the challenge I have with Bcnex exchange, I knew he was  a scammer when he asked me to transfer a particular quantity of BTC if I want my transaction to be resolved fast.  There are just whole lots of them.  However, if you look carefully their telegram usernames will have a minute difference from that of the real admins.  Newbies should be more careful.

I do face a lot of them too and i personally either just ignore them or just block them, i do not know how these scammers covince their own conscience to scam others and how these scammers can even get a peaceful sleep, it is amazing to see that some people foes not even care even a bit for others loss.

It's a common thing for me. I have received over 3000+ spam msg like this. As i was a bounty and community manager they tried to scam me by cloning our CEO's account.

Just remember whenever you need help no admin will PM you first. Most of the time They try to solve each problem on their public group. Turn on the privacy setting. No unknown people won't be able to PM you first.

to avoid this is sometimes difficult because the scammers are very smart they can manipulate the telegram admin profile on an exchange so it's good to avoid them never use admin help on the telegram, but directly use the help on their exchange, because now all exchanges must have a help feature desk and each of our problems will be processed through the queue with the ticket system.

in my opinion it is the most appropriate method to filter messages from strangers but there are still some problems that often occur in telegrams such as for example you suddenly enter an unknown group or a group that you should not enter because there are usually many actors The scammer will put you in a group suddenly.

Scammers are everywhere, not only in top exchanges telegram groups, they can make many accounts to scam peoples.
The most important thing is, never trust anyone if they contact or pm you first, it has possibility that they want to scam you.
Admin on telegram groups usually doesn't contact their user first.

Be careful to check users in Telegram. Because you don't know they scammer or not.

I have seen several claims that becomes a victim of this kind of scamming in which the scammers will pretend to be part of the team and mostly literate about the project and after that they will ask for your details and if you are confident about their offers and Boom you are instant victim.

actually i have shared some post like this before but now i am sharing it again to give chance for others to prevent from being a victims.

I haven't heard that there are issues like these that are related to big exchanges, are you saying that the exchange itself is the scam? because binance is a reputable exchange and I am not so sure if they will do some tricks like these as it can surely ruin their reputation. There are many scammers everywhere and their tactics are also keep on growing like they can easily upgrade any tactics that they have just to scam the other people.

This kind of tactics is a little bit old but most of the newbies are not aware of this, if someone will contact you and they will say that they are the customer support then you have 2 options. First is to ignore them and second is to talk to them but make sure that you will not send any money even if tell you to do so.

Scammers aren’t limited in the exchanges telegram groups. I think mostly found in a new project group here a lot of investors. When someone will dropped a message here than scammers will send pm's you. They created profile as like as admin/moderators, i think it’s their big trapped. We don't care because you know admins never sent pm first and we can check which real profiles from official group.

if someone asks you for deposits to get the issue resolve then that is already questionable especially if they ask certain amount or huge amount rather  .

 while mostly our problem is delayed transaction so why do deposit another one ? also scamming can happen if you you accidentally use a fake or close site that supposed to be a top exchange  but if ever you access the legit one , you can be sure that their costumer support are legit  .

each in his own way tries to get rid of intrusive information from fraudulent projects or the actions of certain scammers, but the fact remains that, in comparison with other resources or messengers, Telegram is one of the largest breeding grounds for fraud.  if you just ask one question in the official Telegram group of a project, how many scammers immediately starts to write to you in a personal way, offer their help in solving the problem or for other actions, appearing to be the official person of this project.  And this is not to mention the promotions of fraudulent projects.

You should not because you are using a top exchange site, now trust any support that PMs you first. In fact, none of them has the right to send you message first and if you must PM them, you should imbibe the principle of no transfer of fund and never give them your account details.

I am fully aware of that and I keep blocking people who randomly message me, they either invite you to invest in binary or they invite you to withdraw from casinos which are all scams, and besides all group channels of projects always have a warning that they will never message first and if they do message they will announce it in their group channel better take all these advice to avoid getting scam.

In each group telegram, there are many scammers who try to fool group members. What I think needs to be understood is that the admin of each group will not be able or willing to do PM for the first time because of the prohibition from management or the team so if someone claims to be from the developer team, I think it is a scammer

Scammers are everywhere and waiting for the perfect time to devour its victim. I also experience this kind of problem in one of the popular exchange. someone approach me regarding my deposit problem when the cryptocurrency that I was deposited has not arrived in my exchange wallet I been waiting for a minute and he asks me to deposit more in other wallets address so that it will be credited. but I refused to do it because I've found out that it was a scammer that pretending to be an admin.

I do not block them I just play around with them till they ask me to pay for their service or they will ask me to give my exchange password . Then I can't out all the good stuff in a gentle and polite manner till they block me. It has happened multiple times that telegram banned my ID for few days.

Thank you for this post. I think that thus will truly help beginners and newbies in cryptocurrencies because they will think that they will earn easily with the airdrops in some groups. They are mostly not aware that thefe are scammers lurking from the shadows that is waiting for an opportunity to attack its prey and I think that is bad because the beginner or newbie will get swayed easily by the scammers frauds and scams. They should not trust anyone in cryptocurrencies and if they are suspricious the n they should be ready in evading scammers. In this online world of cryptocurrency scamming and hacking is always there so we should be always wary of our surroundings always to avoid getting scammed or hacked.

It's just a waste of time to answer or add them, just block them if they are giving you sites that you think are a scam, I'm always direct to the point if they message me I ask them right away what they want I don't want long talks because in the first place I don't want to entertain them.

Scammer stealing from people through top exchange telegram groups is not something new and it not the exchange fault. However, it also happened to Binance users 2years ago if i remember correctly but i still think people need to perfectly understand how to protect themselves from telegram scammers.

And they try to solve your problem. Most of us who are in this space for a long time know how to handle them. But they are thread for new comers. So those who are new be careful. This space is full of scammers so put every step very carefully.

Very true, wise in addressing a problem is really needed now, and when we have a problem then do not immediately express it in the group in general, because the potential for fraud is when we immediately give it to the group without informing the admin first.

We should never trust the private message from admin on telegram because  most of them are scammer.
reading pinned message in telegram group is the best way to know that the admin of the group doesn't pm you first.

They are everywhere even in projects groups. They are fast to sending you a direct message when you complain about anything offering to help you. Once you see a message in your pm without asking for it or without the admin saying he will message just ignore it and block them.

I often receive PMs from fools like them (scammers) but it's a pity they can never cheat me because I already know a lot about their ways to fool everyone :D

I always block them and report spam, only the greedy and newbie fall for their tricks they imitate the main admin's name to perpetrate fraudulent act. Never respond to any suspicious help in PM.

Just to make it simple, "no admin in telegram will send you a DM or even ask for your credentials." This actually happens a lot of times especially if you ask for help from an admin. Mostly, an admin will send you a message in the group saying he sent you a DM, click on the admin's profile to make sure you will be directed to the admin's chatbox.

Any reasonable person should know telegram is not the right place to sort out account issue. This is the major reason why most exchange platform have a section where users can submit ticket in order to solve problem majority of them are facing.This is no joke because I know many people will fall for this scam. this is my experience, the of me just entered the official binance group in the telegram, and I asked about the referral ID, suddenly someone DM me and said
Scammer: Hi
me: what
Scammer: Hi, my admin, can I help you?

before I reply again, I matched the name of my DM admin with the official binance telegram and it turns out that my DM is a scammer with the same telegram ID name and similar telegram photos

that's my experience, when someone contacts you claiming to be admin binance look at the telegram ID and match the original admin in the telegram or ask the official group

Agree with you, when I ask questions in telegram groups. Immediately there will be a few scammer pretending to be the admin of those channels send me messages. If we are not careful, I believe we will be deceived, they will answer very enthusiastically. But until the end they will ask for our password or private key account

The reason why there's a support sections from exchange sites, they are providing help though some sites have a very slow answers once you ask queries or when you send questions or complains, but the its much safer to everyone who have problems from the services that the sites offers. No need to listen to anyone especially from chat sites where risk is very high due to polluted scammers that rounding inside.

Many scammers in telegram it is given that they really do exists so our part is never trust those people. I have experience this kind of scam in telegram convincing to transfer funds on the project that they promote. So that’s true never trust and better block those scammer.

The famous tactic is impersonation and they talk with you as a "team member" and actually forget to add the "kindness". Scammers know how to scam other people and they become more professional after each failed scam attempt. Blocking these accounts is the one-way street and they will come with a new nickname for taking more from you. Only taking money from the victims calm them down, so everyone has to do their own diligence. Similar names can not be observed from first look, there is always more behind the scam accounts.

Impersonate. The scammer creates an account similar to the admin and group manager. One important rule that you must understand and that is always the main warning in every telegram group: Admin never PM you first.

It's funny how people still fall prey to common scams, especially when you join an exchange group or project group and immediately someone chats you up to invest privately. A project or exchange admin can't just chat you first, trying to be of help or asking you to invest when you don't chat them up. People who fall prey to this form of scam are either newbies or greedy, imagine a fake admin telling you to invest privately and you will have 50% slash on price, then you fall prey. many cases like this in telegrams they often create accounts that are exactly the same as those of the admin and commit fraud by sending messages on telegram accounts, I also often get messages like that by offering huge profits but I always ignore those messages

I hope that more people will have the same knowledge like you dude. I have been seeing a lot of scammers that used email to spread the phishing link and i personally have received hundreds of phishing email. Some times i were also receiving pm on my telegram account. WTF those scammers never try to surrender. I hope people will aware how to avoid scammer these days.

And for other social media channel like facebook they will tag you with fake giveaways that you win a large amount of btc and give you a phishing link of the exchange you are using.
In telegram they will send you direct message  it will easy to notice that they are just impersonating  the real admin of the exchange  if they are the one who send message first.

Also stay away from hyperlink on Telegram and Facebook. Many scammers make dangerous hyperlink with text of breaking news or sexy video or photos or something that you might interested. If you click the hyperlink your account and your computer will be hacked.

If you get a message from them, then immediately tell the Exchange Team whether it is real or scam. Usually every Exchange Telegram Channel never sends the first message to you, They only accept if we send them a message first. So when there incoming a message claiming from an Exchange support team, then that is a scam.

All exchange and crypto project telegram groups do that. They never DM anyone first so we don't need to confirm. All DM are scam.

It never happened before. In so many telegram groups have already announced that if there was no even a single admin will ask to be paid to help you. The scammers will always use this trick. I have been getting a bunch of PMs said that this scammer can help you to solve your problem.

You are 100% right. Just couple of months ago i faced that kinda experience. I tried to withdraw some btc from a average type exchange but somehow i failed to withdraw. Then i ask help in their telegram group. Admin told me to create a ticket from their support center. After sometime someone DM me whom copied real admin's Name (not username because it's not possible) and Logo and told me to send him my account details about that exchange. I did literally everything what he said because i thought that was admin. After that at the end he told me to deposit some btc in specific address which will transfer automatically after my account live again according to his statement. This time i had doubt on that person and try to find his username. And finally i found that both account are same besides their username. So before you send money to anyone think twice. Scammers are everywhere.

Anyone trying to contact the support team through social media should understand that the possibility of a scammers trying to impersonate the site representative is high and i encountered this when i contact a support team through telegram as i was not getting a response from them through mail and once i asked about my withdrawal issue i started getting msgs from strangers posing as the site representatives.
Old people might get scammed like that but i could immediately smell what they are up to  :P.

I think almost on the famous social media there are scammers who do fake giveaway, like on Twitter or YouTube. If most of the youtube is an account with many well-known subscribers hacked through phishing or download applications that contain viruses. If on Twitter I often see many people creating new accounts and renaming them with famous influencers like CZ or JohnMcAfee.

To make a trap for fool people only this group are right choice. Even when I  asking for some help in kucoin telegram group, I got huge personal message to solve my problem. All person name was almost same name as active admin. Sometimes expert users also make some mistakes.

What is alarming is that on youtube scam giveaways videos are promoted by the scammers using google ads.  And youtube advertisement platform pass them through without even checking if it is actually legit.  Recently there was a lawsuit filed against youtube (https://www.reuters.com/article/us-google-lawsuit-fraud/ripple-sues-youtube-over-cryptocurrency-scams-idUSKCN2232ZY) for the very same reason.

When there are problems withdrawing in an exchange, I submit my problem in the official telegram group. Some time later there was a telephone entry with the name on behalf of the admin exchange. I ignore, because there is already a warning in the pinned message that the admin will never do the DM first, while this is a direct call, really doubtful. Sure enough, when I checked, it was a fraud account and immediately reported it.

I had the same experience before, they created a similar account but you will check its username, which is slightly different from the original acct. Usually, they get their victims from the official channels who are posting their problems towards the exchange. What they will do is pm the user and offer for help. But before they will help, they will ask for some "fee". When they started to ask fee from me, that's when I doubted that it was a fake acct. A legit exchange will not ask for a fee to resolve your case. Always check for the official accounts.

They can use different trikes and very advance technology. Exp: Someone steal my friends funds from myetherwallet he had their more than 500 dollar in his account. Scammer sent him a tine file in his PC through email and tolled him to install in in his computer then after few minutes he received a message your fund has been transfer to the anonymous address.

I have faced this problem every time when I asked help in any familiar crypto exchange group! This is why all the exchange's admin wrote in their name that Admin won't pm you first! Exactly, there are just many of them in different telegram groups.  They find their way into exchange telegrams to scam innocent people having one or two challenges.  I have experienced many of them sending me unsolicited messages.  But if you look at their telegram name very well, you will see a little difference from that of the real admin.  Just watch out for any one that pm you first, real admin will not pm you first, it's very rear.

I had the same experience when I enquired about one token trading on the Bitforex channel. Immediately after that, I received a personal message asking how help can be given to me. At that point itself, I realized that he was a scammer because my query was already resolved in the cannel itself by channel admin.
We should never entertain messages "initiated" by users impersonating admins of that groups.

How to deal with them? I myself got into a situation taking them for the official representative of the exchange, in the general chat of the exchange. I think people themselves are trusting, and until you yourself are careful nothing, and no one will help. Usually fraudsters are good psychologists and offer quick money, people themselves are to blame, they want everything at once and a lot, without asking for any work and knowledge, they are not even interested in reading stories and methods of dealing with fraudsters in the press until they touch on themselves.

Apart from exchange telegram groups that are full of scammers and impersonators i currently use a couple of wallet and crypto banking based apps and i had a login issue so i posted about it in their telegram group and i was contacted by 3-4 fake admins directly via PM which i identified as fake and saved myself, usually these scammers ask to send some eth kr btc to resolve the issue, i hope no one will fall for these scammers.

that's right, we should suspect anyone who sends a message using the name of a project outside of their official telegram group. if we have questions, it's best to ask via their official telegram and usually they will also answer via official telegram. it's very rare for me to meet a team talking outside of their official telegrams.

this is not only from the top exchanges but all the groups..there are people claiming they are the admin or ceo but they are just scammers.. Admin or ceo of the gc will never send a pm on us.. you have to send them a direct message first.. never share any important details to someone or else you will lose everything

mostly people trapped on fake account which is send telegram member an offer. whether it's help or will offer a token with a low price. and unfortunately many people scammed , and they loss their money. when discord be crypto communication tool, we see many scammers too there. and now group admin warn to all member that their dev team never pm first to avoid victim.

Yeah telegram group ia full of scam and spam.
The official of some projects is sometimes have a spam member with name code "Delete Account" with a lot of them is bot.
We will becareful of that group and don't you ever click that link below in spam Account.

Those scammers can steal the picture or identity that being used by the admine but they can't steal the telegram link that already used by admin. There was a lot of admins in various groups aware about this and they have been creating so many awareness thread and keep it update anytime.

Impersonation is very common in crypto telegram groups, either top exchanges group or popular altcoins group, since I've been using telegram I haven't seen a real PM from people that aren't scammers, we need to be careful

Its already a classic way of scamming but there are still newbie investors that getting being fooled just because they have thought that they are dealing with the right person
without even knowing or trying to make up some verification before making any transaction that they should think first that behind tx will really be an unsual stuff to happen
and with that alone you can already presume out that theres some shady acts happening but people are just too dumb.

They pretend to be concerned about your problem and want to assist in resolving them only for them to request for funds or account details and withdraw your funds. It's true I often receive messages with ponzi scheme investment offers and of course it is very dangerous and a trap for those who don't know about it because their daily profit is like 10%. I am very disgusted by scamer like this.

Scammers don't have a particular place they operate because it's a game of trial so they are Everywhere looking for who will fall prey. This is just one bad thing about telegram but everyone has to be absolutely careful to avoid failing in a wrong trap and do not think once it's a good and top exchange you can't see them, they are Everywhere and admins hardly send message first which is the best way of knowing scammers.

Scammers are everywhere, this cannot be stressed enough. I have a friend whos been involved in crypto for quite a while and still fell victim to it. She doesnt even remember why she fell for it, she just trusted someone without back checking the account. The guy that messaged her posed as one of the admins taking on the name and profile picture. She didnt notice it was a poser till it was too late.

I had a similar experience. I had lost $200 worth of my coins while transacting between a wallet and an exchange. I went through both of the support telegram group and a moderator looking account from the exchange telegram support group contacted me in private message and asked for detailed info. I gave him everything I had and he stayed in contact for two days asking for various info. At last he convinced me to send a fee of $27 on an specific account. I was nearly convinced and sent him the amount but again thought why the exact wallet address. So I sent the screenshot to another moderator and only than realized that it was actually a imposter.

I've also met a lot of scammers in the telegram group，almost every telegram group have scammers ，but i fell their deception is old fashioned, it's not a big deal as long as you don't give away something like your key, or passwords, and the other privacy thing.

usually the admin of a project on telegram never PMs you first, if you are PM by someone who claims to be the CEO or team of the project,
obviously it's a scam, a good project is not like that mate

These scammers do not only exist in top exchange Telegram groups, all projects doing well have scammers in their groups. Once you ask any question related to deposit/withdrawal/token purchase for instance, they chat you up immediately. They mainly use admin profile picture and name, with similar username since no two usernames can be the same. You don't need to do findings to know if its a scammer or not, a legit admin won't chat you first.

Private texting then talking a lot about the project, talking about the potential and expecting a reasonable investment from us, this is often a basic scam on telegram groups, especially large and reputable exchange groups, scammers turn themselves into an employee and look for prey there. Absolutely true I had experienced this so many scammers have used such lame strategy to scam people. They always claimed they are from the project and that's why real team members of the project are indicated they never pm you first and that thing really helps to create awareness. 

The best way to deal with it is to report them and don't even open the message from any unknown user or the person that you don't know. Many a times the scammers use the fake female profiles to make the user fall in their trap and then ask them to deposit or whatever they would wish the user to do. I also have recieved a lot of messages from scammers and also been added to other scamming groups by unknown people but once I changed my privacy settings of people adding me to groups to my contact list only from then onwards I wasn't added in any unwanted group.

Scammers are not only in a particular exchange telegram group, they are also in every side and corner of the crypto space. In my own little understanding, i think the first reason why there are  many scammers in the exchange telegram group is because there will always be newbies whom they (scammers) can easily convince and defraud. Also, another reason is that, most people are not contented hence they are greedy; thus when the main admin of the exchange telegram group goes offline, those scammers that are responsible for advertising unreasonable projects will start their scam activities hence looking for new persons to defraud, and they always get those who are greedy.

well that is the only way that we as traders can communicate with the website provider of the exchange, but if the exchange has started a scam it will be difficult to contact the developer because they don't care anymore and the developer has taken away the existing money and the exchange is neglected like the BCNEX exchange that is currently making a lot of people lose money.
