Ever since Elon Musk started tweeting about Dogecoin, the cryptocurrency has been on a road towards non-stop success. Price per coin rose considerably since the beginning of the year. Those who held DOGE before the pump, already cashed out massive rewards. The momentum will keep going until Elon Musk decides to stop tweeting about Dogecoin. After that, DOGE could either retain its price or go all the way down the drain at a very fast pace. Dogecoin was never meant to be taken seriously, so anything can happen in the future.

What do you think? Will Dogecoin be able to survive without Elon Musk? Or will it simply vanish like the rest of the other "shitcoins" on the market? Is the DOGE hype over? Your input will be greatly appreciated. Thank you. :)

Dogecoin has absolutely no reason to invest in other than the fact that it has become a meme with a reliable community. The only reason to buy doge is to hope to sell at the top of a pump and dump. Although maybe Elon has lost enough credibility in the crypto community by now.

Also I think Elon just wanted to manipulate the market, make some profit and back out again. Thats how it seems to me.

We don't know how much Dogecoin Elon Musk is holding. If he sells a portion of Dogeoin, will the price of Dogecoin be able to stay at its current price? Apart from Elon Musk, there are many investors who are still holding Dogecoin at the moment. I'm not sure they will hold Dogecoin for good. If they sell them all then the price of Dogecoin will drop.

DOGEcoin will survive without Elon musk, why is that because he has been remembered in the hearts of cryptocurrencies, maybe Elon musk was the one that triggered it, after that it will become attached to every brain, this Doge has been around for a long time and has survived until now.

From 2014 till the end of 2020 year (if I’m not mistaken) Doges lived without Elons’ support. Their price was very low: 0.0002$ at the early beginning and then raised to 0.002$ at 2017 year. This coin was nothing but just a nice mem coin that was given as a benefit for mining Lite and miners hodl it without any thoughts to sell for such funny money. Only Elons’ support and constant tweets (from the end of 2020 year) strengthened Doges and stimulated to increase drastically. Traders believe in Elon, not in Doges. So yes, probably if once Elon will tweet “I’m selling all my doges” (or smth like that), the next hours Doges will totally dump.

It will. Unlike any other altcoins, there's much love already for dogecoin even if there's no involvement of Elon Musk. People have forgotten about that. We love Dogecoin but we don't like Elon anymore with what he did to the market about its manipulative tweets.
He should have leave Dogecoin with his tweets and just stay where he is but sadly, he knows how powerful his tweets are to manipulate Dogecoin and I hope that he just stays with it and do not manipulate the other markets that he might do someday.

Dogecoin is a remarkable crypto in that it was something built out of a joke and it survived the harsh crypto space. So with or without  Elon Musk, dogecoin has some tangible thing to offer. It has good adoption like the Dallas Mavericks

I believe it will. It survived for all these years as a joke and now with Elon pumping it and so many people jumping on board I think it will retain its iconic status for sometime. I don't know if can see it really going any higher than its previous ATH but it may settle around .10-.15 for a long time.

But we all know what Elon Musk did for Dogecoin, he pump the hell out of this coin and then speculators join in the fun pushing the price to all time high. But it seems the hype has died down for now, these kind of pump are not sustainable in the long run. So it will survived and will be back where it was used to be, until someone starts to pump it again, and then the market cycle continues.

Those who don't really bring actual value to users will be eliminated. Musk is a businessman, even a businessman without morals.

Although at first it was just a joke, Dogecoin was able to steal the attention of many crypto lovers thanks to Elon Musk's tweets that inflated the price. indeed Elon has a big influence on Dogecoin, but how long will it take? maybe Elon holds Dogecoin in large quantities so the survival of this coin really depends on him. but the evidence is that last May Dogecoin was also able to soar after being listed on Coinbase. I think Doge can survive without Elon Musk.

Despite the losing confidence of its investors, I think dogecoin had gotten the interest of new miners in crypto. I have some friends who are already mining dogecoin. I think it will survive since many of Elon's followers are believers in the coin and they are holders too. I have however dumped mined, I figured it will take months and months again before it will be pumped by Elon.

Dogecoin has been around for a very long time, even without the support of Elon Musk, dogecoin will continue to circulate in the cryptocurrency market. Elon Musk support on Dogecoin some time ago was only to profit from large purchases made when the price of Doge was still very cheap. The tweet made by Elon Musk was able to push the price of Doge up to the highest level in Dogecoin history. But what happened after, Elon Musk just disappeared like being swallowed by the earth and the price of Doge was back at its lowest point. Although now the price of dogecoin is very difficult to move again, but the existence of Dogecoin will continue to exist in the cryptocurrency market even without the support of an Elon Musk.

Well. None of this should be financial advice to anyone and these are just opinions. I don't think Elon needs to make profit from Dogecoin. He is genuinely amused by the attention from the community and the jokes around DOGE. He just chose to engage with it on his twitter. That made a lot of people a lot of profit is just their good luck. Elon likes memes and DOGE had always been about memes (Now its about greed).

Right now, Musk seems to be busy with his real world and far more serious ventures. The lawsuits from Bezos are also keeping him busy and I don't think he'd like the argument from Bezos's lawyers if they quote his mercurial temperament and childish DOGE pumps as a reason to not be solely entrusted with NASA's moon-return program. He can ill-afford to sound like a little child buying up currencies that his current overlords don't approve of.

So although he seems to be genuinely having fun while playing with begging, hopeful and cringe DOGE memers on Twitter; he won't be coming out in the open about it too frequently anymore. This means a slow and steady decline for DOGE as people move onto other projects which have far more going for them.

Yes, Dogecoin can survive with or without Elon Musk. We know Dogecoin's journey from before Elon entered the crypto a long time ago, so if Elon left Dogecoin, Dogecoin could still be on the market. Although the price can drop after Elon leaves, Dogecoin can survive and attract other investors to invest in Dogecoin. The Dogecoin price is now too high, so maybe many investors were already leaving Dogecoin for a while and moving to the other project that can give them profit, but they will come back to invest in Dogecoin.

It'll probably survive as long as the meme stays alive, although it's just difficult to keep up with the price and market cap imo. There will come a time when the Doge meme will once again not be so trendy anymore, and by then the coin will fall together with it.

Is it currently dependent on Musk's tweets and thoughts? Most likely. Would Musk simply ignoring Doge for a long while cause a deep dump? Very likely, because it seems like it's turned into more of a "Musk-a-speculator" than a way to move money quickly around for cheap.

Dogecoin is a meme coin, so it shouldn't come as a surprise that it is largely based on humour and lighthearted banter. That's not to say that Dogecoin developers doesn't have a good goal in mind, but it's not focused on being a transactional cryptocurrency that will be a competitor to established bitcoin and other digital currencies. It started as a joke, and it'll always be that way.

In fact, the big issue for Dogecoin right now is that there are too many cryptocurrencies trying to be used as money. However, there is a meme on a meme, and people will try to use Dogecoin for everything.

If and when Elon Musk stops tweeting and talking about Dogecoin, the meme coin will prolly dump, but it'll survive, the thing is, for now it is prolly Elon's influence that's pumping the coin and people buying into it wouldn't expect the pump to continue if Elon somewhat withdraws his endorsement, but since the coin has been around even before it caught Elons eyes, it would not go into oblivion if the billionaire loses his interest all of a sudden. But without Elon, dogecoin will definitely struggle in the network until something else drives its price up just like Elons tweets did, but I don't think it would just completely vanish, but it would definitely be affected.

This topic is no longer suitable for us to discuss, regarding the price and influence of Dogecoin on the market today, but interestingly Elon Musk has started eyeing other meme coins to work on new projects, this is of course only to repeat his success in Dogecoin at that time. People are wondering, how far is Elon Musk's role and capacity, so that he managed to get Dogecoin in a good position and a high selling price, although many people have tried to do this, but no one has succeeded like Elon Musk.

If we're talking about the overhyped price, I don't think it's possible. What I do believe is possible is that Musk will keep pumping it every once in a while to ensure it doesn't fall that much. The price is already two thirds down from the ATH of May 2021, so the fall is already here. But the scope of it is yet to be determined. Dogecoin won't die off completely because it's a #1 meme coin, so there's a community and some hype over it even without Musk, but also because it's very useful to have a coin that cheap, and it's pretty popular for online gambling. So it's not totally useless like many other altcoins are, but I don't think it deserves to be in the top-10 by market capitalization either.

I think they can survive even without Elon Musk. But I noticed that Elon becomes a sole influencer for dogecoin. Withouy his shills, sometime the dogecoin doesnt really move up since there is no hype coming from Elon. I dont know if they will really improve dogecoin and put some additional features on it. But knowing Vitalik is on their commitee, maybe there is a chance since we all knew how Vitalik improved eth so much.

For now it will survive but there will come a time when people will realize just how speculative this crypto is and will leave and not want to hear whatever Elon Musk has to say....

By the way for someone that has an interest in the cryptocurrency its befitting to say those tweets by ELON should be considered to be some form of manipulation and in the long term a coin can't grow to higher heights depending on tweets alone....my overview is it won't survive.

There are tons of altcoins in the marrket that are just pump and dump just like DOGE, it was Elon Musk influences that triggers Doge out the numerous altcoins, He weighs a big influence on the emergence of this coin price-wise thus once he announces his departure and moving out his investment in the coin the consequence of his leaving will have a big blow to the survival of Doge in the market, it price will crash and dump massively though it will survive but will become less popular and move down in coinmarketcap rankings, thus any investor of the coin should endeavor to always take profits appropriately because you never tell what is going to happen in next .

its been a long time and i havent seen elon tweeting something about dogecoin so i assume that he already left the builiding, he is done with it in short but we can see that dogecoin is still there.
when i open my twitter , it seems that doge hype was not over yet because random guys continue to tweet about doge . the hype was still different without thier master elon

Dogecoin is indeed famous for the figure of Elon Musk and that makes everyone active in the crypto market admit it. I think Dogecoin will continue to run even if one day it is abandoned by Elon Musk. On a closer look, it doesn't look like Elon Musk will be leaving Dogecoin.

I think yes, because Dogecoin itself before Elon Musk hype it already survived for a very long time. Maybe without Elon Musk, the hype will be over and dogecoin will be pump and dump coin like usual, maybe price will back before it's hype. But to be dead coin, i think it have really small chance to happen because community and some websites still allow dogecoin deposit.

Survive does basically means that it has some value and wayback that Elon hadnt tweet up about Doge back in the past then it is still really sitting into its price without having any signs of pumps and just like those normal
or casual days on where it is mainly been used on gambling purposes due to cheap price and cheap fees and on the time that Elon had shown up some interest  on where he do start on talking about Doge then this is
where things do change, not only Dogecoin had raised up its price but also into those new and old meme coins that existing on the market.It indeed become a trend and on the time that everything had plummets
then its not surprising that the price had really make out some correction which is always been a common situation like this.

2 scenarios that might happen.

1. Elon Musk stopping tweeting regarding Dogecoin. Possible that it might return to its lows of April 2020 at around 6 cents or possible too that it will stay sideways at around 10 cents to 20 cents.
2. Elon Musk will stop tweeting regarding Dogecoin. Its possible that another influential businessman will continue what he has started. There is also a chance that another famous person will continue to tweet Dogecoin. There is also a chance that the community themselves will just continue to support and hold it while there are some who might sell.

Either way, DOGE will not be considered as a shitcoin like others there but its hype is over already. On the other hand though, a tweet of Musk might change everything and there is also a chance that the hype might still be there and we might see DOGE again going to its last ATH :D.

But I also agree that it is possible that there will be people who will continue what has been started for Dogecoin.

I think dogecoin without elon musk will still be in crypto, but doge won't get the hype this year. doge prices will tend to be stable at low positions. and people use doge only for transactions because the fees are low, not for investment. because the hype doge is only temporary and doge is a meme coin that is intentionally viral to create an explosion in the crypto market

survive maybe yes, because it's the same as other altcoins, actually Doge will definitely survive when this coin is abandoned by Elon.
but the worst case is maybe the doge will return to the same price as a few months ago and will become meme coins and coins that are very cheap again because doge has been strong until now can not be separated from the crazy pump of the billionaire and when the billionaire leaves doge is certain that most of his supporters will do the same thing and make doge a discarded coin.

I completely agree with you, meme coins don't have the future. They just had an enormous hype in spring and now this hype is over. Such coins don't carry any real value to the market, they are just useless, so they will vanish as nobody will use them. The only thing that gave such a popularity to Dogecoin is advertisement from Elon Musk. To my mind, he tweeted about it just because he wanted to earn on the pump of it.

Elon Musk has tremendous influence because Elon Musk is a person who has a large fortune invested in Cryptocurrency (In this case Dogecoin). 
Actually, Dogecoin can survive without Elon Musk, but the condition is that Elon Musk quietly leaves this coin. 
But if Elon Musk blatantly wrote on his Twitter that he was leaving Dogecoin, then this would mean Dogecoin has experienced a drastic decline and will return to how it used to be.

Dogecoin has been existing with great community before Elon musk decided to start shilling it!  Elon musk was very instrumental to dogecoin pump though,  dogecoin would have pumped anyway without Elon musk, may not up to 50 cent!  I strongly believe dogecoin will still with or without Elon musk!

If you are going to ask me, there is no stopping the people now as they are now aware of the thing Elon did with Bitcoin and Dogecoin. Dogecoin now is just back to its former self. I think no one will be supporting this coin again like what Elon did early this year. Those who bought when it was high have learned their lesson in investments and might have already sold at a loss. Elon was one of the manipulator who can able to control the market in some other way. And of course, dogecoin can still survive without Elon Musk.

It depends on what you mean by the word survive, dogecoin was still there doing its thing before Musk decided to begin to show its support, so I think we are going to see dogecoin still existing if Musk decided to jump ship and create his own coin or support another one, however I think that the moment he does this then the hype dogecoin has will disappear and it is likely the coin will crash and a lot of people that bought at exorbitant prices will be left holding the bag and will never recover their money.

Survive without Elon? of course, Coin Doge has been around for a long time. A large community can help the doge go on without him. I think the hype that he presented has ended, all his tweets no longer have a big impact on doge or other crypto.

I know dogecoin has all the chances to survive even without Elon Musk because as long as there is good community supporting meme coins, they will always survive from any bears.  But i don't think its price will be very high just like when Elon Musk started tweeting about dogecoin and all of a sudden, lots of followers of Elon have came to invest in this coin. They are definitely making huge profits by that time. And when Elon stops tweeting dogecoin, its price started to fall making most of the investors shift to other projects that will more likely give them good profits more than dogecoin can offer.

Why do I still believe what someone like @elonmusk says, I myself am also confused by incidents like this, just posting on twitter, everyone believes and takes actions that are considered unreasonable. because it's clear @elonmusk is aiming for his own profit, and so is coin doge.

I think yes, Even without musk Dogecoin will continue to survive and exist. My vision of dogecoin is, that without Elon Musk support, its price will stay on the same level, and as previously, will go up only several times per year, and then go back. Not like it will just survive, but it wont do anything or nothing will happen to it.

don't expect dogekoin to be as high or to hype as it is today without Elon Musk.  because nowadays coin doge can get hype due to strong influence of Elon Musk.  without Elon Musk Doge is nothing.  so doge will still be in crypto but its value will come back in a low position

Of course, that Doge will survive, but what will happen with the price is another thing! Personally, I never expected to see Doge at this price, ever... but this happened and I am clueless about what the future is bringing for Doge, in terms of price! But Musk, thanks to his subscribers, created a hype around this coin, which allowed many to get a high profit.

Dogecoin has been in the market for a long time, the doge community was much bigger even before the shill with doge in elon musk. It is on trend now and people are investing on doge continuously. Without Elon Musk, doge will survive but the development of doge may hamper. A lot of holders are in doge and they won't want to lose their money in this way. Price of doge may down without Elon Musk.

Actually we don't know for sure what will happen to Doge coin in the future but I see Doge coin is almost like Bitcoin which does not have a team and only has a blockchain and wallet system but the community of Doge coin is very large so I believe that without Elon alone this coin will continue to survive in the future and will continue to get good prices following the chart of Bitcoin.

Actually at first, after that big pump and dump on Dogecoin, I am really disappointed and also feel that Doge will not be able to pump again without the power of Elon Musk.

It depends on what you mean by "survive" if you meant that dogecoin would be dead and forgotten then I don't think so, this coin was doing well before Elon intervened and adopted it, but the hype that he gave dogecoin by being it and tweeting about it made it go insanely high so if the reason that made dogecoin get this high goes away then almost everything it did to it will go away too, it will slowly decrease until people forget about it.

Surviving is easy for Dogecoin but it will stay at on low price and low volume like the status of it before Elon Musk creates a sound for it.

But without a big wave again from Elon Musk or the same big personality equal to him, Dogecoin won't experience again that big increase in the market.

Any investor will tell you high volatile markets pose a huge risk on investments and during the times of Elon Musk constant tweeting and posting his opinions on the dogecoins project it was really difficulty to know whether doge will be bullish or bearish which meant price stability was never there. But today without much of his involvement the price of the meme coin is super stable and this is what I would look for in a coin.
