I have lived in many communities and some States or regions in my country and there are some communities I went and I discovered that women are more productive by going to farm and other daily activities to provide food in the family than men. While the male sons and fathers are busy playing bet with Checkers Game and popular known in my locality "Draft Board Game" and bet on "Whot Card Game". And their.wives would go to farm or fishing to feed the families. Till date those things are common in the places I have visited in the country, mostly the elderly ones who the young once are busy using the casino centers and websites to play their games.

The elderly ones are still busy playing games with the traditional methods so most of us didn't notice that they are gambling but they bet with money and that has become automatically a gambling habit while the younger generation is using the new methods of online and casino Halls. Mostly of this elders would left home early morning to the draft games centers and stay there till evening. Playing games with one another. In most time they use places that sells drinks and smoking things like cigarettes and others. Those places are always busy with elderly people.

Both I think are engaging in gambling.  The adoption of smartphones I think contributed to all these siesta moments even in the time when they are supposed to be working.

Majority of persons who gamble are usually the youths because at that old age you are already begging to settle down and relax more than stressing your mental ability to make predictions and all that. It's really hard to say. From my experience it's mostly middle aged to elderly that gamble. As a teenager I used to go to bars more often that I do now and young guys were always drinking, focusing on watching football, talking, but 50 year olds were usually coming to play cards or slots, or they'd play pool and gamble on that. I feel like especially gambling drunk is the domain of overworked middle-aged men and guys who retired and don't know what to do with their free time. When it comes to online gambling it's all ages.

I always thought that gambling was an activity for adults or at least teenagers, since there are a lot of interesting activities for schoolchildren even without gambling (when you are young you enjoy literally everything). But after talking with several schoolchildren, I learned that gambling among them is quite widespread and many have already stopped doing it because they had serious problems (financial and addiction) because of it.
Therefore, it is difficult for me to judge what age people are more involved in gambling - our ideas may differ greatly from reality.

Gambling is a matter of choice and it's obvious young children nowadays gamble without thinking twice if this act will develop a negative impact but they still decide to gamble, this has gotten to an extend people rendering service in a casino shop no longer bother driving an underage out from the shop but instead they attend and forget about the law. From my observation both old and young participate in gambling carelessly like the example op mentioned, elderly men play gambling games likewise the young ones or people who make use of the online casino.

I guess a different type of gamble? From what I've seen in my neighborhood, instead of games like poker, slots or whatnot, most of those who are above in age usually enjoy lotteries, scratch it tickets, and Bingo. I can't find a definite answer to your question, especially because I didn't find any data or survey results about the age of gamblers in my country. The majority of gamblers I know are aged 18 to 55 years, but among the working age group, there are more of them than those aged 45 years and over.

Older gamblers tend not to gamble openly like those aged 18 to 30 years, I mean gamblers over 40 years old tend to gamble secretly because they feel embarrassed if their family and friends find out. It is not clear if the young are fr age 10- 30 and the old from 32-60, even if it is, I think exposure to ones environment and social settings has alot more influence on ones gambling behavior, irrespective of the age bracket.

I don't think this situation is popular in Africa. The attitude of allowing women to go to work while the male stay at home wasting their productive time on gambling might be peculiar to your area or tribe. Participating in open gambling is prohibited and illegal in my country so no one can participate in gambling anywhere in my country. However, participating in gambling in violation of the law and government regulations has become a common thing in our country. Although the government may strictly regulate offline gambling but online gambling lacks government regulation, generally the younger generation is more attracted to online gambling. If offline gambling is considered then the elderly participate more than the younger generation. On the other hand, when online gambling is considered, the younger generation is more attracted to it. As someone from Africa, I don't agree entirely with your evaluation. I have lived in multiple environments and in those environments, youngins are usually the ones much more actively involved in gambling than aged people. The only exception would be that the environment with more older people indulging in gambling vs youngins is underdeveloped areas. In more urban areas, the reverse is the case because its a different bull game and more bills to be paid.

Fun fact: I haven't seen a board game in 5 years or more.

For Romania ...we have a huge problem with how many bookies we have on the streets as it's way more easy to find a betting shop than finding a regular shop and that says a lot about how corrupt our Government is because they are giving licenses to almost anyone who wants to open a betting company here. I think with the emerging of online games, I can see that young generation these days have easily get hooked into those variety of games and eventually fall into gambling addiction. But what we also don’t know is that even elders these days are still into gambling, although they’re not visible playing with their smartphones but that’s because they are having more fun with gambling in betting shops or real casinos wherein they can socialize with other gamblers as well. I don't know the numbers for my whole country but just using my environment as basis, there are still more old people who are gambling than the young ones. Here in the United States I would say middle aged people are easily the biggest group of gamblers. The 30-50 age ranges. I agree with you, with now the existence of this online gambling makes many young people interested in doing it, not even just young people. I think all people do it, it's just that the more dominant ones are young people who eventually lead to gambling addiction that is not easy to stop. Such elderly people do exist and yes they play the draft game which they use in gambling. It is a longtime game that they have been used to, bringing them together from different places to converge in their known location to gamble. However, some young people also join but they are not much compared to the elderly. So it is more of older people's game than the young.

There’s a lot of elderly people here that doing casual gambling in barber shops on games like chess and checker. Not only online gamble that youths are more active in, even in taditional gamble, youths are more active than elders. In general, as long as gamble is concerned youths gamble more than elders. If you have noticed, those elders that gamble traditionally must gather up at a place which is seen as their gambling arena.

when you say "elder ones" what age are you referring to(same with "young ones", when you say that what age are you referring to)? because from my experience, I usually see gamblers that look like they are middle-aged men and women gambling, though there are those that look like they are in their twenties but they aren't as many as middle-aged gamblers. anyway, if you referring to "elder people" as someone who is in their late 60s I'd say they aren't gambling more than the younger ones, I only usually see them in bingo halls but you rarely see them in any other gambling shops.

I create this thread base on experience in my location and the places I traveled around in the country.  Even when I was doing my National Youth Service/Community Service, I the elderly people Playing Gamble in the villages. So if you have not seen them in your side then you would have skipped the thread and this thread is not what you think of it.

In my country it seems the young people and the middle-ages are more involved in gambling. Young people try different form of gambling while middle aged people are more focused on card games. That group of people earn for their own and have decent amount to spend on gambling without any trouble. Young people have many needs and desire so they have less time and money to gamble. Yeah, it's a sad fact but young people and middle-aged people gamble in online casinos every day. Old people, like those above 65, have no idea about online gambling but they collect together in squares, gardens and public places and play their favourite game backgammon, sometimes they play domino. I think that everything depends on the country and has to do with the level of education and general culture towards such things. When we talk about typical physical casinos, I can say that I see mostly middle-aged people there, I would say 30+, and when it comes to sports betting, there are still younger people.

Five religions are a lot. When I was growing up the younger ones can't even go close to a betting shop one thing is that the elderly ones won't let them come in, cause it's not allowed but now you can see a age from 15 to 17 years at the betting shop.

And they also have more responsibility more then the younger ones. My question is that who tought him how to predict a game, he was eventually earning from it while his mom gives him money sometimes to feed at school, so now in my country the younger ones tare trying to take over but they can't beat the elderly one's.

You raise some good points but even then it is difficult to tell, the elderly are for the most part retired already, they have a lot of free time for their hobbies, they most likely already paid all their debts and have a pension fund as well.

But the youngsters are totally different from them and they are very interested in gambling.

Well, I think you are right. But when it comes to the young and old who gambles more question, I think the young are the ones that gamble more than the old people. Most young gambler don't have a lot of money to gamble but they makes sure to gamble even with their little money. But the old ones are always going to work in the morning and coming back late and most atimes  they get tired after having a stressful day at work, but when it comes to weekends they gamble. And the only games the old people bet on is football, after predicting, they stake and wait for the games to conclude before they continue and bet when they have the chance to bet. But the young gamblers ( the youths) most of them don't have a good job and some don't have a job at all but they spend most of their time on gamble hall.
