Terms and conditions:

2.) Each league tournament requires separate buy-in.
3.) The first league tournament is scheduled on Sunday, 30th March 2025 at 5 PM UTC.. There will be no late registration/rebuy/add-on.
4.) You have to have at least 1 earned merit or 100 quality posts before this post.
5.) All Prizes will be paid directly into your Betpanda.io (https://betpanda.io/?ref=bct) wallet in BTC, with only 1x wagering requirement. I reserve the right to pay in USDT as well.

Great that it is a knockout bounty tournament as I think it is my favorite format, but heads up is nice too ;) I hope we get a buch of guys on board. Should bump this thread from time to time.

If you take this one down also, you must apply for guniese book of world records 🤣. You have won every single event so far, which is an impeccable achievement. You surely know somethings which I don't.

Yeah, knock out bounties add more spice to the event specialy for fishes like me ;D

What I have done is to refrain from overly risky moves and the long duration of the blind levels were to my advantage. It gives me time to give it time, I am sure you understand. In faster formats I think a player like you would have an advantage because you take a lot more risk during the game. But if you do it against a player like me, taking more risk when blind levels allow others to be patient is less profitable in the long run if your opponents don't lose their mind in the meantime. You could see that in the heads up tournament. If those blind levels would have been faster, I wouldn't have had the choice to be as patient as I was.

But the same took place in I think the first bounty hunter tournament when it was like the last half an hour or so when I got all these monster hands all the time. Highly aggressive players usually prefer blind levels that go up faster. Notwithstanding that blind levels going up more quickly give an edge to players with higher risk preferences, it increases the luck factor for all players as less hands are played and the one who gets the better hands in the now shortened period of time literally has the upper hand in many instances. There is less room for tactical maneuvering.

One of my favorite event, Poker and once again it’s our dear Memehunter. I will surely join you and take over this League, haha Im just really excited for this since this week we didn’t play on the regular tournament, where Royse mentioned it’s a week off and will continue next week.
Regarding this one, I have one question about knocking out others, the prize is 5$ for each but should you be on top three to get the prize or even if your rank was lower? Also when will we have the grand final? Every week too or after the 4th week ends?

No you do not need to be on top places in order to get bounties. Whenever you will knock someone out you will get $5, no matter what is your final standing in that tournament.

After 4 league tournaments there will be a Grand Finale where  6 players with most amount of money earned from all 4 tournament combined will fight for $500 GTD. In GF we will have $125 for 1st place and $75 for second.
Apart from this fixed $200 prize pool, you will get $50 bounty each time you will knock out anyone.

You know whats funny! It is easier said then done. Keeping patience with player like me is very tough. You made it look easy because you have years of experience and you know your strengths very well. Just to inform you we will have same blind structure where we can all have some chats comfortably while playing.
I think this time I will make a strategy against you  ;D.

When I made my last post I thought for a second to edit it and add that there is a reason why my exists and that I don't end up losing my mind, but now you are bringing it up, the years of experience. Guess where this is all coming from - Pokerstars. I played multi table tournaments for so many years and while I think that hyper and turbo is fun, I figured that playing tournaments with deeper stacks and slower blind structures gave me an edge as long as I did not become a loose player for no reason. Many players can do the calculations more or less, understand table positioning etc, but only a minority of players sticks to the rules they impose upon themselves.

There are still a couple of other things that give good players an edge, but that edge is getting smaller if it is not for some other players losing their mind anymore.

Format is pretty easy to understand so basically we play for 4 rounds which is 1 month and top 6 in winnings gets to play on the grand finale for extra cash huh. The only downside from this was the 1x wagering for all those prizes which is kinda meh but oh well cant really expect a non poker related site to be that generous either way  :)

Yeah IMO it is quite easy to get into GF if you play all 4 league tournaments. I understand your time slot related limitations but as you have already mentioned that there is a chance that you might hop in, I am sure it will not be easy for others ;D.

It sounds like a good event. I like the KO games, and getting money every time you take out a user is a nice deal. I love to push my luck, so it sounds like a nice game. The only problem is that I don't know if I will be free on the weekend to play this tournament. I really will try to be there, but I can't promise anything.

Are there any plans from BetPanda to add their own poker engine on the site, or is this just a unique event to promote the site?

Regarding betpanda.io planning to integrate poker client into their platform, I am sure they are thinking in that direction (honestly I am not the right person to tell you any thing with authority) but this event is specifically sponsored by them to strengthen our poker community here.

If they or you were to change the rules to anyone can join who wants to pay the buyin and you can be paid to your wallet, I would have no problem joining events like this. The game is ran off platform, so we should have the option to be paid off platform. I get why they want to pay on the site, but I like having options since it's not hosted on their site.

I'm not mad either way and I appreciate a site sponsoring these prizes for people. If they do integrate poker on their platform then paying on their platform would be 100% acceptable.

Meme, you have been doing a great job for a while now. Kudos to you for your endurance, skills, and ultimately, your desire to do this.

There has to be a balance between the interest of players and the interest of the sponsors in order to make these events sustainable. You know this far better than I do. IMHO 1x wagering requirement is nothing, you can complete it in a million ways without losing more than 1-5% of your funds most of the time. Besides that, you can complete that in any game with any amount of bets, no restriction at all.
 
I am not sure if this logic holds up :D. Not all variables that are essential to the success of this event are running 'off the platform' like sponsorship.

I will try my best to convince a reputable member like you to get onboard, but I will also respect your well informed and experienced point of view regarding this. Just give it a chance, and I will try my best not to disappoint you 8).

It's getting hot in here... For the first time in poker tournament history, there will be a bigger prize for knocking out a single player than for winning the tournament. It's so nice to be a part of all this. :)

The joke's on a side... MV is a strategist, he is sharp and extra careful, so I guess he will build high walls and probably fold everything that is not a high pair or at least high cards. It will be difficult to get him into the game and take some money from him... even harder to draw him in some all in hand just like that.

I like that knockout incentive, it could either allow players to be more conservative with their chips or allow bad actors farm the incentive easily... but looking at the reputable names that have locked in for first Betpanda poker league game... there is nothing to be worried about  8)

You don't have to worry about fair play. I would prefer to pause/stop the event before letting cheaters infect this. I have also placed barrier to entry and will personally monitor every table. I have a little history in ensuring fairplay  :D.

I like the knock-out system totally worth it playing the game for hours.

Alas! I would have loved to join this tournament. The days are long gone when I would be able to sit quietly with friends from dusk til dawn, chasing hands and squeezing out bottles over fine company and crass jokes. Several years ago took part in a forum tourney but was unable to stay longer than an hour, so it made me realise then I am no longer capable of committing the time.

Nevertheless, my eyes stray not far from the goings-on in BTT, and mv1986's reputation has seeped beyond the borders of these threads and into the frontiers of lesser mortals such as myself. And in all things where chance and fortune favours such persons, I feel it is my duty to prevent his ego from further inflating, if not by participating myself, then by supporting the efforts of pretenders to the league.

And so I declare a personal and contrite contribution of 0.5 mbtc atop the bounty on mv1986's head!

I am going to guess they will not want to agree to that since the point of them sponsoring is sign ups and depositors, but their name is attached to the tourney so in theory they still achieve a portion of their goal and being a little flexible may turn into more business later on. I had a great time because I knocked out four players and still finished in 3rd place. Not bad for a free toplay poker tournament.. Right now, we're waiting for the last two players mv1986 & slapper1 to determine 1st and 2nd place. Eventhough I'm sleepy I have to finished it, it's been a while since I joined a tournament like this.

It was really nice to participate with you, I’m sorry that I had to leave early for a family meeting that I couldn’t skip. I played very aggressive which was really cool and more enjoyable honestly. I had luck at first but they kicked me out for bluffing, xd.

I knew he would win after he tripled his stack when he was pretty low, too bad we could have eliminated him pretty early on. Aside from the fact that people were playing super aggresive against him due to the bounty on his head, he was surprisingly very lucky with the cards  :)

I got knocked out pretty early by Little Mouse though but thanks to that, I could go to bed because I had rough day lol. 3 more rounds to go, I could still snatch some prizes to include myself on the grand finale standing

(https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5536216) I am about to post the schedule of 2nd League Tournament, which will be held on 6th April 2025. I am posting this as many members suggested that I change the time slot of the tournament. So will you be more comfortable if I pre-pone the tournament a couple of hours, like 3 PM, UTC or are you OK with 5 PM?

I have reduced the decision time for each hand to 15 seconds from 30 seconds in order to speed up the tourney. The time bank will be 60 seconds, which will be autofilled after 40 hands.

Well this is uncalled for. The decision time and time bank is actually perfect, if you want to speed up the tournament then reduce the interval on each blind instead.

You could actually use the blind calculator to set up better blind structure depending on how many hours you want the tournament to run.

This is actually a pretty good tool to use though. You can simply put in how many hours you want it to run ideally starting blind and number of players then the calculator will count up the ideal blind structure

I took the decision based on the feedback of many members. Many members are just taking the whole initial time every time. Thanks for suggesting this new tool. I guess you always learn new things ;D.
If you think 15 seconds is bit faster how about 20? I am not in favour of reducing blind structures. Based on your recommendation I guess I can slightly increase the time bank and reduce the number of hands it requires to auto fill so that players will have ample time to think, but initial time has to be less. Thanks for your feedback. I really appreciate your proactiveness.

20 seconds plus the additional recharge of the time bank sounds acceptable to me. 15 seconds can be really short when there is a very tough call or fold to make. But with the recharging time bank, it should be fine.

@memehunter you had some tough calls and folds to make last time, don't underestimate 20 seconds of time ;) The 7/8 bluff was a crucial moment in the tournament as it could have boosted your stack by a lot or cost you the whole tournament if you are wrong. That is of course the goal of that bet size. One important piece of info was my own chip stack. Would and could I have afforded that move with much less chips? Since I could, I did in this case. Doesn't mean I will always do ;) 

What a nice coincidence that April's fools was about poker too. Somehow hoping that maybe a few people get aware about this poker series and join.

Its part of the game. Let that person take all the time he wants, why force someone to act quickly just because other people are bored waiting. Poker is a boring game to begin with because it could takes up hours without any guarantee for you to win anything. If people want a fast paced game then go play slot instead of poker

There is no reason to use 'turbo/hyper' time bank structure in a normal paced game, Might as well just change the entire game into turbo mode instead

I don't agree with this. People using almost the full time bank every single time are just annoying and takes the fun and flow out of every game. Please think about people participating (plenty of people from Asia) where it's night time already. Needing 2 minutes for 1 hand just prolongs the whole thing unnecessarily.
Problem is, most people act slow because they are doing something else and not focus on the game. I mean you don't need 25 seconds to decide if you want to fold preflop, right?
It's not a big ask to act in a timely manner. If you don't have time to have the table open maybe you shouldn't play in the first place.

I also want to confirm that I have already received the prize from this tournament and completed the wager requirement. The sad part I didn’t withdraw it since I played it on slots and lost it all.

He didn't trap at all, he bet the flop quite big hoping someone got a piece of it. Any ace or good flush draw would at least call. And well, I hit big so I HAVE to reraise to deny equity in case he has a better ace or a combo draw (flush draw and straight draw). When he insta called I already knew he had 44 cause it was the only hand to call that quick with. Flush draws would think a bit, and ace with whatever kicker would at least take some seconds (to most likely fold) as well. An insta call is almost always a set and when I have AJ it's almost impossible for him to have AA or JJ. Leaves him only with 44. I played it the right way I think, you don't want to just call and give some person the flush for cheap.
Same as with the AK vs JJ against you, it's basically an automatic allin pre when I have like 70k in chips and you had around 25k. Nothing we can do, you can only hope to hold and me to hit. Rest is up to rng.

I confess I share my gigantic winnings with Pokernow and that is why they shuffle me the right cards at the right time ;)

But I'll give you some info on the last tournament: I probably bluffed around 20-25% more of all my hands than I would usually do. I wanted to be engaged more to make my hands less predictable because usually I am quite a tight player.

@AHOYBRAUSE but one thing is for sure and you will agree: to win a tournament, you need a least amount of luck. The 444 against two pair AJ are exactly the hands that decide over winners and losers and neither me or you could have folded that hand. Actually, you could have improved and still beat me. It was me to sweat till the river was dealt.


I played major bluffs a couple of times like the one against memehunter with 78. I guarantee that if I had gotten caught two or three times bluffing, I would have never won the tournament.

You either need crazy flops where everyone hits, but you hit the best, or you  need some luck like a river or hitting a 3-outer.

That was the start of the trap, and you moved right into it ;D.

Guess you and I have a different understanding of a trap. He was value betting to get money in while he is ahead, which on this board could change very quick. The were a flush draw and 2 straight draws. Trapping would only be checking, but not betting for value.

I might be a bit drunk though since during hanami season (cherry blossom festival) there are many picnics that involve drinking this weekend, and I also have basketball from 7-9pm. @memehunter, winning the tournament has now turned into a running gag, but this is poker and it will come to an end. This is not to motivate you to accept the bet, but everyone who has played a lot, be it on Pokerstars or somewhere else, knows that there are no serial winners in the small scheme of things. There are players who win more than others, but there is a reason that it is considered sensational when someone reaches the final table at the WSOP twice in their lifetime.

With smaller fields of participants it is of course easier to do. Have you played Sit&Go's? There were these challenges that if you win like 10 in a row or something, I am not sure. I never got that done and those Sit&Go's only had 3 players each time. Rest assured, my head will be rolling soon :D

Yeah, yeah, yeah, it's mv1986 again.
Just to put things in perspective, he has won the last 5 events consecutively. I do not know how he is doing that, but this is an amazing accomplishment in the poker world. I tried to knock him down but he always came on top. Royse also put up a great fight in the end and secured a well-deserved 2nd place.  AHOYBRAUSE played perfectly with a great level of patience, but Royse's luck got him on the river.

Thanks again for organizing and especially because of moving to time up for 2 hours, it made a big difference for me. Yeah I really needed a lot of patience, folding for 1 hour straight (actually really didn't get one hand to raise or even call with preflop) with higher getting blinds is just so annoying. Also while being only 4-5 players sitting right behind mv (with chips) makes it even harder to see a flop cause he can raise basically any hand.

The suckout at the hand was just as predicted. It's often like that for me. Folding forever, getting it in good against a questionable call and then  :'( . That's poker.

@AHOYBRAUSE if this is what works best for you and most others are good with it, let's keep it like that.

I don't have perfect insight into your hand ranges and therefore it is hard to tell whether I would be as tight as you in many situations. I can say that with a stack of 25BB +, I am making moves at times. Sometimes 20BB +. It depends on table position of course. At some point I definitely play stack size and of course time, I want as many hands as possible with blinds that hurt you, but don't hurt me.

But at the end of the day your all-in was the right move, patience would have paid off if statistics held true, and you would have done the right thing. The setups are so crucial often times and the tournament will come when I run into your kings with my queens or AK vs. AQ. Especially yesterday when I played my stack and in one of the first hands when I sat right before you, if it is AQ in my hand and AK in yours, you double up unless I hit the three outs.

@memehunter thanks again, good to see you are handling everything smoothly and on time. It would be nice to see the number of participants go up, but I was a bit confused about two of the newcomers. I think AHOYBRAUSE knows what I mean. The moves they made were not even amateurish, the moves were weird. I can't remember, but these all-ins made no sense, not even for someone who doesn't know the game because why sign up in the first place with all the hassle and go with a new account straight to the games and rounds section on Bitcointalk? If someone asked him or her in some other poker round, then ok, I don't know about that. But otherwise I find it weird. Anyway, fine for us because we get the knockouts maybe, but it would be tough to swallow if someone like that has a lottery jackpot day and takes some of us off the table, but then so be it :D

I am aware of ranges my friend. But offsuit 5 gappers like 9 4 and so on are just unplayable. My BEST hand for for a whole hour was J8 off, think about that. That's the definition of card dead. Every bb I had 4 2 , 6 10, 3 5 , J 4, and so on, actually hilarious. But I am used to that on pokernow, nothing new for me. If I even had suited connectors or anything, but no, absolutely nothing.
Just what I told you on the table, folding forever and being kicked out with the better hand, I can predict the future.  ;D

Anyway, congrats for your win. At some point you were just cruising after some donations and then playing the big stack as it's supposed to be. Guess we had a lot of fun shaking our head about some stuff we saw on the table.  :P

Yes I know you are aware of ranges, but you could then play timing+table reputation at a slightly higher rate. What is the chance that your next hand is shit or your opponent's last hand is strong? I think you could in such a case up your rate of pushing it with any two by about 10% maybe. I get you and so far it wasn't the bad hands that got you out of the tournaments, it was the suck outs with superior hands.

You call it donations, but that doesn't describe it properly. I had very bad hands, was willing to put up some pressure with my low stack, was patient here and there, got nobody calling with AQ I think two times when others got those easy chips with weaker hands. Then the aces were timing, but honestly getting from 6k chips to 12k chips almost hurst with aces and memehunter called because of my bounty, which makes sense. I could have still got sucked out like you. Then it was step by step, but the turning point was when I took a pee literally to think about my nines.

I explained memehunter once again my whole thought process: first all in is irrelevant in that situation with I think 12.5k chips. It is not about knocking him out and I clearly have him beat with 99, 55% at the very least. But probably literally any two like K8, most likely a weak ace. I put him on the weak ace. Now you get why that is important. When the big stack puts me all in, what is the worst that can happen to me? Overpair, sure. That can happen. 10s would be ugly, but game history didn't suggest that. If I assume that first all-in has two overcards, chance is lower for running into an overpair from second all-in, chance is high that they steal overcard from each other, average likely scenario is KQ vs AK vs 99, gives me almost a coin flip against 8 outs.

Now I took a pee literally to go through it, and I put first all-in on a weak ace as that was about the range that made some sense although many moves before made no sense, that is why I ruled out monsters. A5 vs AK vs 99 gives me quite a bit over 50%. In that moment I know that there are some other players who possibly would have played an ace, so I calculated two aces against me for sure, + 3 of any other overcard.

In that spot with 55% and the chance to not only double up, but to take full control over the table, I made the decision to call. If I fold and get into a flow of bad cards all the time (as I had before except for my aces that paid off little compared to your kings), I concluded it was the right decision to call. That is why I took the time bank. I needed to think about it and it could have gone wrong. But hey, this is what poker is all about. You never know for sure. It is about educated guesses and observations and calculations.

In many of the big tournaments you see someone getting ahead because of a call like that or because of suck outs or insane set ups. In this case it wasn't setup, which I like. It was a decision made only by myself. If I lose, I am to blame. If I win, I am to blame because it is neither a must call nor a must fold.

Yeah I didn't mean the medium pair hands with donations of course, more like the Q7 ( head hunting call ) and other smaller donations you got from some ruthless people. The turn flush vs trips also was a medium donation I would say, definitely a bit overplayed by Len considering he had a 60bb stack at that point. Since I am an Omaha player I am always very careful with trips when there is a flush or straight. Putting in 54bb in a 20bb pot is crazy even with trips. Mostly you only get called by a flush or boat (at least by people that know how to play) .
That's brought you to 200bb which was the beginning of the end for the rest of the table, hahaha.
But hey, I don't complain about you, at least you can play, that's fun. And with all the knockouts you basically paved the way for me to make the money. So well, thanks for that!  ;D

The word donation semi applies, yes and no. Yes because you remember when I called the up and down straight draw with backdoor flush potential. I did it because I told you that it is instantly a double up against that opponent because he would call without giving it a second whether I might have completed my draw. That's what you know beforehand. If you hit, double up, if you don't fold and don't play the river unless bet size allows it. No because you still have to set it up as far as you can influence the hand, push someone out, keep someone in with your bet size or sneaky check.

You are very welcome for those knockouts and I am sure you know I'd prefer you on the table of the final round of this serious any time ;) make sure you'll be around next week, you'll need some more to qualify!

I also had hope that I could knock @mv1986 with the hand I had. Like that hope was very high when I had Ace and 8. I thought mv1986 was bluffing me, but it turned out he had a flush.

Actually you were betting into him my friend, there was no bluff. There was 20bb in the pot, the turn brings the flush and suddenly you go allin with 54bb. Too bad for you mv just made his hand pretty much unfoldable. If you bet big he might just have called since you could have boat but overbetting the pot that much almost always tells you the opponent is at least weaker than your own hand, because otherwise it would be played more cautiously and out for value.

Well, same as always, someone pushed all and mv wins, haha.

This weeks prices have been paid already by the way. Sports betting just counts 1% to the wager requirement meaning for every 10$ bonus you would need to wager 1000$ in sports, haha. Better stick to casino games, even if some originals (dice, limbo) for example are excluded from the eligible games. I managed to do the rollover with blackjack. Of my 20$ I lost a lot of hands down to 9.50$, then thought "fk it, allin" . So went allin the next hand with 9.50$ and hit BJ 21, haha. Rollover complete and a bit of profit.

@AHOYBRAUSE I know what your first thought here definitely is as you outlined it already in the chat I think. But if you remember my whole explanation and you were a little bit in the mood to gamble and you are pretty much qualified for the final round because of winning the first round, would you ever consider this move? :) Be honest, I'd like to know. If slapper had aces or kings, I don't think he would have wasted them on an all in of 10x my bet.

I'm 100% with you because of 3 reasons. 1st and biggest reason for me is, Slapper.  ;D This guy plays very loose so yeah, I would definitely call in your position in this hand as well. 2nd is the bounty stuff on your head. People play overly aggressive to find an allin against you, cause there is a lot of value in kicking you out. Actually it pays WAY more than winning the whole tournament. Him having AK in this spot was actually quite surprising, as we all know he likes to go allin with much worse, that's why 99 again has a lot of value here.
3rd reason is, as you have said, you have won before, have a good rank in the overall list, so basically you have nothing to lose. If you are out, so be it, you can enjoy the rest of your Sunday.
AH, there is a 4th reason, I would call it "invincible mv"  ;D . If you are running hot, keep it going. At some point you will lose a big allin of course, but until then why not keep winning?

Yes, I mean I did give slapper two overcards here or a weaker pair like 88, 77 because he would have made that move with 88, 77 for sure. But I don't think he would have put all in with A7. Could be, but that was not really a part of my calculation, more of my hopes. AK, AQ, maybe AJ made most sense and whatever xLays was playing, it was extremely likely he would steal outs from slapper.

But we both agree that this hand could as well soon get me knocked out.

This time also, I will take my chance against mv as there is a $70 bounty on his head alone. But I have to play strategically also because I am just one slip away from not securing a seat in the grand finale. Yeah without anything to play for poker is basically useless, that's why I never ever played with playmoney on any of the big sites, it's just a waste of time since everybody just goes allin with any 2 hands, since there is nothing to lose anyway.
Will definitely try to play Sunday and do my best to kick you off the thrown. Gonna be a hard test though. Now with increased prices the previous results don't really matter that much anymore for the final ranking, that's why the next 2 tournaments have a high importance!

Aside from the top 2 spots the rest really is so close! Even someone that didn't score 1$ yet can still make the list when he/she wins the next one cause that would at least pay around 80$ if you only have 2 knockouts.
My record of "winning" the last one without 1 single knockout should be standing forever. Not gonna happen again I guess, hahaha.

I'm not in hurry to receive the reward from mv1986 for knocking him out—this is just for the record. After I KOed him, he asked me to send my Bitcoin address. There is one thing I want to emphasize again, which is our current policy against sitout players. If you register and fail to show up, you will be removed after the 1st blind level. Although I always try to send a PM to sit-out members before removing them, it is the responsibility of all enrolled players to show up. There is no penalty for not showing up, though, apart from the fact that you will not receive any prize for that tournament.

Yeah I agree that sit-outs should definitely be kicked faster than we have seen in the previous rounds. After the first level is a good compromise. 22min should be more than enough time to get to your seat. So I am glad to read you adjusted the time.

Too bad about youtube, they really have strange guidelines sometimes. For some part it's understandable but sometimes it really is just too many rules.

Since you have informed this publicly and the identity of the person who will be playing in your place will be publicly known, this will not come under ghosting (https://www.pokerstrategy.com/news/world-of-poker/Why-ghosting-in-poker-is-still-cheating_113346/), for the better part. There are two issues in front of me as a host, if I allow your request;

1.) Skill level will be different. There is a chance that the player who will play in your place can have higher (different) skill level which will make it unfair to others. If someone is making notes on you throughout the previous phases, he will be at a massive disadvantage, and therefore, a direct threat to fair play.  
2.) Since you informed me clearly that you will not be able to join, I will create a waiting list in the grand finale for number 7. I will give you 5 minutes to join and if you do not join I will remove you from the grand finale and allow 7th player in waiting to play.

I use electrum and I used advanced options to configure fees, so it doesn't get stuck and you get your bounty quickly. When you said it is not there, I checked that bottom window, which was covering the top one, but I put it now this way so you can see. Since there was a transaction ID, I thought I must have sent it... But I only changed the fees, finalized the transaction but then forgot to broadcast. You can see it at "Locktime: block 892258".

Now I know it makes sense that when you finalize, you get the transaction ID anyway, because if you broadcast later, it still goes by the same parameters (I suppose this is the technical explanation?). I would have also noticed if I had the main window open where it says "Local". Btw I was about to send around $70 as I forgot I only owe $60. I didn't double check afterwards as I passed out quickly after and then had my surgery beginning of the week.

I'm still in the yard in front of the house... If I told you what I did while I was playing, you wouldn't believe it. Sorry again because I was late, for the delays, long hands until the auto fold... I wish I had just sat and enjoyed the poker, but in that case what happened wouldn't have happened. :) Anyway, I had a lot of luck several times tonight... that's what I always say, without a little luck there is no winning.

After having over 60k chips I thought to play a bit slow without becoming aggressive like I am. But then I started to run out of luck. When I call, I get no match at all for several hands. Got me impatience. I can divide my game by 4 sessions. 1st quarter I was usual me and everything went well except one and two bad luck. But then the last 3 quarters I did not have much luck except only once when I came back from All-In to 26k chips or something.

Goodluck boys on the grand finale. It was fun but tiring, lots of ugly variances.

Like seriously why do people keep raising 1bb after flop like what the heck was that. The standard would be 1/3, 1/2 or 3/4 of the pot or whatever but 1BB is just ugly. I mean when there are 10BB on the pot and people raise 1BB after flop with 2-3 people calling is like ugly, you gotta pay the price to get the turn card though. Dang I had to raise it to 'normal' which kinda makes me looks like an idiot that doesnt goes along the norm of the game lol but overall it was good

Of the several rounds of this tournament, only this 4th round I felt really bad. I was too emotional and had to be eliminated early. :-[

Fun fact, I actually only won 1 or 2 bounties while playing every tournament. I think I got 1st, 3rd, 4th(or 5th) and 6th place and still barely made the final showdown list.
Just shows you how bad I am running in those tournaments, 2 bounties in 4 tournaments with around 20 people each is really crazy.

Anyway, let's see what the final will bring. Guess all the "crazy" players will tone it down a bit for this one.  :P

Ok so here is the second of the three hands that led me from hero to zero as I was beginning to gain control. Obviously the set would have made me a decent chip leader, but that's poker. Why call for the 33 in that spot? The value considerations here are multifaceted.

I get to limp in my 33 cheaply for 1 BB. I know xGennady is a standard call, iv4n will pay the blind for sure, AB de Royse777 is going all in like 90% sure, which helps me building a pot for a potential set without having to make any move or display any weakness or strength. This gives me the chance to knock him out on the one hand depending on how many people call, and if I hit the set, I got iv4n or xGennady or BitTraderCute, or all three of them on the hook. This is not about pure percentages in terms of how likely it is to hit a set, but what the set will pay and this was huge and worth my 4 blinds.

@iv4n instead makes a move first and since I know he is more of a loose player, I would certainly call because he would never let go in this case as AB de Royse777 called and is worth a bounty. If I don't hit, I fold against almost any continuation bet unless I flop value besides the set that is worth pursuing the hand against a loose player, which can still happen.

@iv4n made the right move here pre flop and post flop. Pre flop because he wanted to isolate AB de Royse777 and post flop as he has top pair, top kicker and backdoor value, bet size was about pot size, which is ok. He doesn't want three people to call. I knew this is what I was I waiting for and only a suck out could beat me. Was a little bit on the fence that iv4n pulled the trigger like that because I felt I could have sucked in xGennady and BitTraderCute as well.

Before this hand, I lost a KK vs. KJ hand, which I will post a bit later.

I like adjustments but raising both, stack and level, seems a bit too much doesn't it? After 1 hours we would still have an average stack of 125bb (excluding ante), that's very high. I would have raised one of the 2 things, starting stack OR level length. Or raised the starting stack to like 30k or something. But 2.5x really is a lot.
Of course it's up to you, just wanted to voice my opinion and maybe others think alike, don't know.

I think your analysis is great... you described how this hand went nicely, you also gave good reasons for each move that I agree with. I can only add what I wrote in the chat, I knew I was risking a lot... but I wanted you to fold if you only had strong cards (AK, AQ...) and not let you get something nice on the turn and river. But you had a nice set that I would never fold either! Ultimately, the cards chose me... :)

I changed the structure as it is a 6-max event and therefore hands will be dealt much faster than 10-max tables we usually have in league tournaments. Other than that, I wanted to give a relaxing and chill feeling to our finalists (atleast in the initial stages).
Thanks for your feedback but I think we have to play wiith this structure ;). As per my estimation, this will take much less time to complete than our league tournaments.

Ok so I will continue with the first of the three hands that were a bad beat to say the last. But how it came about is interesting because under usual poker considerations, this hand wouldn't even have made it to the flop.

I have KK and raise it to 8 BB for a reason. Some of the guys at the table were on fire calling everything with trash. There are a few reasons for that, but one is that they want the bounty on my head (though I think it is the least important reason to mention here). BitTraderCute paid off all the time, but got lucky and hence has those chips. Almost every other player except for two other guys easily chip in 4 BB for fun. But with KK I want an opponent, maybe two, but not five or six, which is easily possible since iv4n would call if xGennady calls, then almost everyone is 100% a call.

SO I decide to make it 8 BB, which puts xGennady at all essentially (you would think). Then go from there. However, xGennady only calls, which almost crossed my plans since it wasn't unlikely that now the other call too. Calling 8 BB with over 50% of your stack doesn't exist as a plausible move in poker. It is either shove or fold, always. There is no "let me see the flop" while paying an oversized bet with just 15 BB in front of you.

Anyway xGennady calls, everyone else folds and no matter what shows up on the flop, as first to act, my continuation bet in the dark is set in stone. xGennady can only hope, and his hope was heard.

I had the KK losing against KJ and then not too long after that hand the set 333 lose against A10. Everyone knows, on some days you not only have no luck, but bad luck. @AHOYBRAUSE can sing a song about that with all those freaking bad starting hands. But once you get a hand and you can finally play, you get sucked out by a faaaaar inferior hand. That is the moment I look at my keyboard with my head down as if the keyboard was my enemy, you know what I mean :D

I think you gave a nice analysis of this hand, but it's an analysis from your perspective. But here's the question, what would you do if you were Gennady?

We can talk/analyze now (after the battle everyone is a general), but with that bankroll (taking into account others), the moment in the tournament, and maybe "just maybe" after many hands with very weak/bad cards maybe I would do the same... I would risk half or my bankroll to see the flop. Since I paid a zillion times to see the flop with all sorts of cards that wouldn't be a strange thing for me. And I guess we can agree with that thing, sometimes the flop give us an edge, many times we just fold.

I understand your logic, I have it too. It's a poker player logic, something like "what would be normal to do at that moment, what would you do", but... but every situation is different, and above everything there's that luck! What ever cards you have flop can be generous or not, turn can make a real mess, and river can turn situation upside down.

Conclusions?

Oh, I have a lot of them, and I laugh at them because they have let me down so many times. What about you? :)

The only difference is that I made the mistake of not going all in on the first flop. So you must have known that if I had 888 and you had a flush, you could beat me. :D

How many hours on average was the 4 league round was? Pretty sure the final table would be way longer than that because of the blind structure and since its a grand finale with decent amount of prizes at stake, most players will be extra tight for sure.

but seriously though, an ideal blind structure would be 10-15 minutes. Anything longer than that just gets pretty boring

It is possible, but I do not think it is required for such things. It can create confusion among participants.

Around 2.5 hrs. With 22 minutes blind and there was a final table in each tournament, obviously  :D
I don't think this will last longer than that with 6 players but even if it does I am sure it will not be too much.   

Those who survive 3 hours of play automatically go into "all in mode" every next hand at 3:01. :)

"Most players will be extra tight for sure", me too. No matter how long it takes and no matter how tight the players are at the beginning, I expect an interesting game and a good fight!

Not in this weekend's format. If we reach a running time as long as 3 hours the average stack is still kinda big, no need to go allin. Let's say we are in HU already after 3 hours, that's 300k in chips in circulation and the big blind is 1500/3000. So even is someone has a 3:1 chip advantage the small stack would still have 33 big blinds.
With this slow blind increase and a 250bb starting stack I doubt we will see preflop allins with AJ or other nonsense. The only incentive that rewards aggressive play is the big bounties. Collecting 2 bounties has the same worth as becoming first, even though first of course gets at least 200$ (100$ for 1st place, his own and 2nd place's bounty worth 50$ each).

memehunter I saw your message to me a only few days ago. Thank you for the invitation, but I wasn't online on bitcointalk for weeks and I only followed R7 Campaign Management telegram. Now I missed this betpanda series. If you plan something new, please let me know again and I will make sure I read it in time and then I will participate. When you get 0 results against the worst players imaginable, that can't even say gg when constantly sucking out with the worst plays in history ( but talk like they did the right move because they got bailed out with the the miracle river), it makes no sense to waste my time.

I don't even know what to say. Even me I feel like I'm cheating the tournament because of what happen. Imagine winning the tournament without any effort — not just once, but three times! The river really loves me. I knocked out all the players and took all the prizes (except, of course the 2nd and 3rd prizes).

Here is the compilation of each knockout at the grand finale, $50 each ;D. Our champion @xLays just sabotaged the table by knocking out literally every single player lol. He won 6 bounties (including his own) $50 each plus the 1st place prize worth $100. Which one of his knockouts is more brutal lol
Let me start with my opinion, for me the first one where he cracked AHOYBRAUSE's aces was more brutal as AHOYBRAUSE played it like a pro, denying him the equity for drawing to the flush. But he gets there anyway.
He knocked out almost everyone in that fashion but the final KO was brutal too but since they both get it done pre, IMO it is less brutal, beside it hurt less when are in the money lol.

The hand against AHOYBRAUSE was not played very well to say the least... The weird thing about xLays's decision is that he doesn't take the 1BB bet as a present to see the last card. Instead he raises pot size with close to zero equity. AHOYBRAUSE even blocks the nut flush, but xLays would probably push any two. AHOYBRAUSE sends the info bet and yet xLays goes over, which he should have never done. He loses this hand more than 4 out of 5 times. The 7 won't save him realistically speaking and AHOYBRAUSE is the tightest player we have. What did he think AHOYBRAUSE is doing so early in the tournament? Pull off a mega bluff with nothing? Lol, of course not. I don't know if it was desperation or bad calculations, but you can never get your K7 into the middle for your tournament life on the turn like that.

Hey @iv4n, it is never a call with KJs out of position and the risk that you build a pot others may like and join, too. With 16 BB and an 8 BB raise before it is your turn, it is never a call under any circumstance. It is either all in, which I can understand in that spot, or a fold. Because against an 8 BB raise, how many hands do you beat and what is your position if two more players call when you hold KJ? You are literally calling for flopping the nuts or very high value on the flop. So in a certain sense you want to get it all in anyway and you don't want to get it all in with KJ against four or five players. You want to isolate one player and double up because that puts you at 35+ BB and you are right back again.

Not every situation is different. There is a best move as per the poker player handbook, which is based on position and probabilities. And even if xGennady thinks he has me beat, he still doesn't want others to call with KJ. Maybe he could do it with KQ, but at the end of the day my raise indicates he lost the hand most likely if he doesn't hit the flop whereas I am either holding a pair already, holding an ace or holding KQ. Moves in positions like these is closer to chess and therefore it is not like "every situation is different".

Ask yourself this: if he finds himself in that spot 100 times, what do you think how often he wins the hand if, let's say, I hold 10 10 and instead of isolating me with all in, he builds a pot that two other players might find attractive and call? Not very often, I tell you that. But if he isolates me with KJs against 10 10, he has a very decent chance to get close to 50%. That's the mathematics behind it.

Luck doesn't justify every move. When someone calls my A10 all in with J2 and flops a set of 2s, it doesn't mean it was the right call. I guess you agree. Poker is a game of chance where you have influence considering table position, bet and stack sizes, and sometimes a few individual circumstances like when someone is calling with junk every single hand and you observe that for a while. But assuming I play junk with my 8 BB raise wouldn't end successfully very often ;)

As always, your analysis is spot on, and I agree with everything you said, but... there's always that but! We are not robots, a lot depends on our mood and sometimes it is difficult to maintain concentration throughout the game, especially if we get distracted by some hands.
In the last tournament, I was 4th, and that was a success. I made several mistakes somewhere in the middle of the game... and the worst was when I wanted to call two 5s and mistakenly clicked on the fold! The five came out immediately on flop, and it was 100% my win. Sometimes it is difficult to get out of some stupid things and return to the game.

Well, there will be no sponsored poker tournament this Sunday, at least not hosted by me. But your suggestion is good. We can have a $25-buck private sit-and-go among us. I know for sure @mv1986 will be in (with delight ;D). I am in, and you are in, so if 3-4 more players come, which I don't think will be very difficult, I can host this.
If you guys need any tweaks regarding the structure and timings, let me know and I will create a dedicated thread for this one right away.     

I just had the chance to watch some of these thrilling knockouts since I wasn’t able to qualify for the grand finals, most of the hands were decided after the river was revealed, I wonder the reaction of each player. I can see that some players were incredibly lucky while others were just as unlucky. Thats the beauty of poker anything can happen until the very last card.

I must say, Memehunter continues to prove why he's one of the best in our poker community. Among his impressive performance, he also gave a lot to build the community and successfully hosted this event without any issues. Hopefully, we see more events like this in the future with even more participants joining. I remember during the early rounds of Royse event, we had fewer than 10 players. Now, we seeing around 30 players, which shows how much interest is growing.

Big thanks to Betpanda for sponsoring this event. Maybe one day we see them launch their own poker platform inside the casino.

memehunter has dealt with it very well, merits well deserved by the way if anyone doesn't know where to send them! Organization was on point and he even jumped in once I had a technical mess up with a bounty I had to pay. No hesitation, he lived up to all promises.

@memehunter, first round of whatever poker round we get going, buy in is on me for $20 or $30, whatever it will be. I know memehunter is relentlessly working on expanding the community around poker, which I think is amazing! Always on time, always fair, he is to blame I play more poker again these days ;) We have been discussing chess tournaments, but the cheating potential is too high. Chess is so amazing, I love it, but there is no good way to prevent cheating.

I haven't played chess in years, at least not with serious players. In the last couple of years, my exposure to chess has been showing kids and teaching them how to move the pieces. Anyway, if you can find a way, I'm in... but for a start, some small stakes, if possible.
