To spread awareness of this vastly under-regarded beverage of course!

Last time bumping this thread lol....

Don't get me wrong I love that stuff but c'mon... This is getting ridiculous.

If people mine it just for fun then fine but hopefully no one expects to get a return on this.

I really hope no one touches this with a 10 foot pole if it hits an exchange  :( .

What are you trying to achive with this coin?

The best this coin can possibly do is hold its niche's interest for a couple of days.

Market cap equal to a six-pack of cider, maybe?

http://whc.pool.mn/ (http://whc.pool.mn/) added to pool list. Pre-register at one of our pools now!

What are you trying to achive with this coin?

WoodChuckHardCider is a coin meant to pay homage and bring attention to this awesome Vermont-made drink. Hard apple cider is one of the tastiest alcoholic drinks, and yet it seems to never get the respect it deserves. This coin aims to change that by attaching the Woodchuck name to a legitimate and modern cryptocurrency with a potential for success in the constantly churning altcoin world. Through our bounties we hope to attract online games and businesses to promote the Woodchuck brand and Hard Cider in general.

woodchuck is by far the best cider I have had.  Thanks to Jessica the cute waitress at Jack Astors for brining it to me by mistake!   I will mine this just for fun.  What you guys should do is come out with a android wallet and allow woodchuck retialors to discount the sale of cider by paying say 10% of the price of a pint with Woodchuck coin.

Great Cider

What about switching to X15? That's the taste of the week it seems.

Put up some big bounties for anon, encrypted SMS and maybe an on-line market or something like Voot says they'll do.

I'm going to keep an eye on this one.  It is a wierd niche but if it is well run with a plan (the usual anon stuff, X15, encrypted SMS, etc.) it might go somewhere.  Look at Gorillacoin which still somehow hasn't dirt-dived despite having no plan, no known brand and no reason to exist.  ( I missed that train because I thought it would derail a mile from the station ... Such is life. ).  If the devs execute seriously behind the funny logo they could have something.  If this is just some random guy tossing out a joke coin for shits and giggles then it will fade away a day after launch.

Thanks for the input. Bounties have been added for Anon and SMS. If it is not enough, perhaps we can get community donations at some point in the future for these bounties. X15 may come at a future point if the community demands it. Some may write WHC off as a joke, but our devs never joke about hard cider. As stated in a previous post, we sincerely want to bring attention to this drink through a legitimate and forward-thinking currency. This is not a pump and dump scam coin, we are going to support this long term.

To ensure its long term existence, however, we also need marketing. I personally have been in contact with some coin promoters through pm's and such, and would ask anyone who will be mining to do anything they can to contribute as well.

Thanks for listening.

I'm an investor and feel pre-Darkcoin tingles about this coin (if everything is executed tightly).

1.) If it were me I'd raise the bounties for anon and SMS 10x.  Those are hard-core functions that guys will want money for.

2.) As much as I hate even typing this you might want to up the premine (I can't believe I wrote that ... my soul hurts). More bucks means better programmers and quick execution.  There will be heavy trolling re the pre-mine but quick dev response can handle that.

3.) Gorillacoin didn't have a pre-mine and now they can't deliver on their promised SMS/Anon features it seems.

4.) I'd reduce the number of coins, Gorilla has 4,500,000 I think.  It was enough for miners to be happy and to snatch them a nice valuation.

5.) I don't know your background so I might be preaching to the choir about marketing but IMO marketing is a waste of time for an altcoin.  If you guys get big you'll get added to general bitcoin/altcoin payment processors.  Some banks have Visa cards that link into Altcoin blockchains.  To stores the transaction is just another Visa debit card.  This kind of stuff only happens when a coin gets Darkcoin or Dogecoin big.  Until then, you're the only market is miners, investors, speculators and pump/dumpers (a necessary evil as long as the dump doesn't go below the pump). The only exposure that matters is Bitcointalk, Coinmarketcap and maybe Reddit.

6.) Also a final point: You all should identify yourselves publicly.  The top alts have devs who let people know who they are despite the privacy problems.  They loose privacy but gain Lambos ...  ;D

7.) Test out everything before the launch; nothing worse than a launch fail.

I don't mean to lecture; I'm not a programmer, just an investor/speculator looking for the next big thing.

I remember hearing that the bigger exchanges (Mintpal, Bittrex, Polo, Cryptsy) will not add any coins that have a potential copyright infringement.. What are your plans to get around this so we can trade our coin and buy some cold beers/ciders?

I don't mean to lecture; I'm not a programmer, just an investor/speculator looking for the next big thing.

The only way to up the bounty for anon/sms is either to up the premine or ask for community donations. For obvious reasons, I'm not too comfortable with either at the moment, seeing as a low premine is vital to miner adoption and we have no idea how large our community will be, plus we don't want to be seen as asking for anything (could easily be fud'ed as scamming). May up the premine to 1% and put all those coins to the anon feature. If that is still not enough, we may post a public address once we have a working blockchain and use that if anyone wants to donate.

The number of PoW coins is only 1,600,000. That is less than half of the 4.5 million PoW coins Guerillacoin has. WoodChuckHardCider has a max of 80 million but that won't be reached for years, since it will be PoS.

As far as marketing, you may be right but it would be top notch if we could get a hard cider supplier to accept WHC, even if it is a local homebrew store.

I have brewed a batch of cider or two in my time  ;) If you would be willing to set up a site that accepts WHC, we would be happy to add you to the op!

Haven't seen that for sure but the Doge image is definitely the intellectual property of whoever took the photo. A slim-to-none chance of being sued in no way changes that fact. I am no lawyer but it seems that since the IRS declared Bitcoin an asset, not a currency, and the original coins are being dispersed freely to anyone who wants to mine; I would think the Fair Use Doctrine applies here.

Again, thanks for listening.   For all of the coins with which I have had success, the key point was a developer who was around and acknowledged the community.

I remember hearing that the bigger exchanges (Mintpal, Bittrex, Polo, Cryptsy) will not add any coins that have a potential copyright infringement.. What are your plans to get around this so we can trade our coin and buy some cold beers/ciders?

I agree here. We should change the name to woodchuckcoin or something. We still focus on a coin for cider beer. Essentially, there are three ways to avoid or defend yourself against a copyright infringement suit if you are using someone else material: ask for permission, prove that your work falls under First Amendment free speech protection, or show that it is fair use. One of the ways to use the fair use defense is to show that your work is a parody or satirical in nature.

How does everyone feel about changing the name to 'HardCider'? We can still keep the WHC currency code. We will change the startup splashscreen to Gibcity's image on page 2. Gibcity, pm me and we can set up some coins for you.

I think you'd better change the Name ...because there is no such thing as "fair use"  when it come down to outright copyright infringement. You have no right to attempt to sell, use, offer or profit upon someone else's intellectual property. Just because your a fan ....try that with Coca Cola coin and see how far you get.   Anyone who mines or invests in a copyright infringing coin will lose in the long run.     So yes to Hard Cider Coin (generics are no problem)  and NO to WoodChuckHardCider coin  an infringing name destined to get into legal trouble coin .....Consult an attorney for the possibly damages you may incur if you don't believe it.

So is this going to be changed before the release? Basically I'm asking if we should anticipate downloading the wallet again or the current (password protected) one should be fine for launch?

Ok, here is the deal. The revised coin-qt file is DONE and uploading now. All images and names of woodchuckhardcider have been changed. Gibcitys' image is being used as it is definitely protected under fair use. The website has been updated to reflect this change. The release IS NOT affected. If you downloaded the old client, it will still work just fine (although you should update anyway). The password for the new client .rar file is the same as the old; it will be revealed at release. The node is up and running fine.

Will update the op as soon as the client is uploaded.

We do not have any direct affiliation with mining rig rentals or trademybit. My guess is the owner of the rig has it set to mine at trademybit while waiting to be rented.

It's the idea behind the coin. So far it's people who like beer. I'd take a solid community and solid dev any day of the week. That's what makes coins different these days. The innovation is all over the place so what really makes a coin different? Simple: community! :D cheers!

Maybe, but look at Gorillacoin.  Same thing: copy pase, nothing particularly new except for all of the new rich guys in Lambos who brought in early.  Unlike Gorilla, this coin is going to pay a good bounty for anon and encrypted SMS.  Best advice:  strap in, follow Coinmarketcap, watch for when it gets pumped and decide to sell out then or maybe see if there's enough real value/community to give it life.  Basically there's no way not to make money if the launch goes right and the dev sticks around for a month or so.  A pump/dump crew will latch on sooner than later and, like I said, the coin might even develop real value over time if the dev is long term committed to the project.

Your pool operation is substandard ....i tried to register for it once a while ago and still have never received a registration confirmation   ...If your site cant send out timely reg confirmations  I have very little faith in your Pool to get through any complications that arise.   Maybe you shouldn't require confirmations for people to mine at your pool    ........

Been contributing ~10 mh/s with only ~40 mh/s on the network and haven't found anything either.

Might just skip the coin since the distribution is going to be kinda off I think.

ok.. copying Techcoin leveldb and makefile.unix

Although i'm not sure if their makefile has zerocoin code in or not.

Correct, it should work with that X13 makefile

I'm not mining at the moment. All I did was delete the two library files in leveldb. Not sure if that messed it up. If the windows wallet won't start, it might need to close for a minute and try again.

edit - Not sure why everyone seems to think I am the only one mining lol. All I have is 1 gpu, not capable of mining this quickly...

Nodes are up, don't know what you're having troubles with nodes at all releases, its only you, Hashharder is running since minutes and is finding blocks.

Again the same story with all the new coins.
One more or less failed start , then out of the blue a huge dif increase while some heavy miners take their share.

The moment it hits the exchanges , prepare for the dump.

To be honest, I would also like to know what exactly happened there. I was sweating bullets for a minute! I wasn't even mining but with 1 gpu, nowhere near enough to dominate the entire network like people were saying.

I haven't gotten any payments from hash harder, so I just switched coins. This one is too hard to mine and doesn't seem like it will have much value (the thread isn't exactly blowing up)

I never heard of scam problems with pool.mn IMHO it is a proper pool.

Did you ever get it working? I built it under windows, you probably just need to add the .o files to the build in the makefile like the guide says.

The password stays in archive from the launch.

Maybe dev has forgotten to replace with wallet without password. No big deal :)

I know. Not sure what happened with the hash rate. I have hired a social media coin promoter and we have been aggressive on twitter all day. We got a response from Allcrypt - we are in the queue to be added. After that, other exchanges will follow.

I updated the makefile.unix file on the github source. If it errors again, post the error and I should be able to help.

Imho, there were lot of miner for the quick roi win, etc. and the coin isn't on an exchange and they moved to another coin mining.

I have been trying to help you mine some on hasharder, but it looks like there is only 1 other miner that has a great amount of hashing power and I am getting a ton of errors about bad site addresses.  I know the software and GPU are all good as I was mining another coin right before moving over.  If I can find another working pool I will try to throw some more hashing power your way.

I mined at hashharder for a few hours, but I was the only person there, so I moved to whc.pool.me.  Both pools eventually gave about the right numbers of coins. I've stopped mining because I have to rent X13 hashing and at the moment I don't know if it is profitable.

Here is the exact response I got from AllCrypt 2 days ago:

We have a huge backlog of coins. I've been out of town, and we had a wallet server hardware error 2 weeks ago that threw us off schedule. It will be likely at least a week.

It's coming, albeit slowly. They will come though!

It's good to know we are at least on a list to be added! Also waiting a bit for an exchange isn't a bad thing. Stops people from dumping the coin right away allowing people to have a bigger stake in the coin and have more reason for the coin to succeed.
I was wondering are there any plans for a giveaway to help promote this coin or is there one and missed the post?
Have a Good Day.

The situation is the same as the Ascentcoin. After POW the ASCE price down to 3 satoshi... today, after some marketing and plan issue eg. anonimity, raised up to 500-1k satoshi.

See the hashrate: 4,5 MHs, it seems, only from me + one other miner...

I agree the community can make or break a coin just like a good or bad dev, but I also would like to know more about what you see the future of this coin to be. We as a community can build on that or help change the direction, but you started the coin so I would like to know more about what YOU think for starters.

Sorry everyone for not replying! I've been very busy this week with work and other factors.

As far as the exchanges, I really don't know. Allcrypt promised us, but seems to have reneged on adding us. It is impossible for one person to build enough hype for a coin. I will take the blame though, as I did not do enough promotion before coin release. I apologize on the state of the coin, but at this point I am not sure what can be done but to call on all miners and holders to promote it.

It was my plan to contact as many homebrew shops around the country as I could after we hit an exchange. That way I could try and get them to accept the coin, but there was no way to do that without having a real value on the coin. As far as I can see, there is still no way to do that without hype and an exchange.

It is my sincere hope that this coin succeeds, but as I said, we need everyone to do their part. I do take partial blame for the state of HardCider, I won't shy away from that. But it needs a community around it.

Unfortunately no. We are listed on the voting over at allcoin, allcrypt said he would add us in a week (about two weeks ago), and I have contacted every exchange I can. The replies are all the same: there isn't enough hype, probably won't be enough volume to justify listing it.

I'm really sorry man, I wish there were more I could do. I made this coin because I believe in the concept, but for reasons I said before, it just hasn't worked out so far.

Fixed the site. Block Explorer isn't done by me, I can't fix it.

I contacted bittrex a few times, no response. I will contact c-cex.

I am glad you have posted and we know you are still around. We all have lives outside of here. It would have taken a minute to quickly post a message that you have some personal things going on and will be back in a week. To just leave a new coin without a word will kill any momentum that it has.
Also could you please list all the exchanges you have contacted? I have contacted several and gotten responses back, including from bittrex, saying the never heard of this coin.
Organize the people that are left and help move the coin forwarded. It's on the voting list of askcoin.net, but not a single vote. Nor hype from you to vote for it. Just jumped on a minute ago and saw it. On there multiple times a day voting for other coins, but I never knew it was there. Will vote for it in 10 minutes. We can all vote once every 10 minutes on that site as well as buy votes. It's an ok exchange, but it is an exchange and a start. I will not spend a lot of time promoting this coin till I see that you really have serious interest in making the coin succeed. Part of that is again keeping all of us informed of what you have planned and organize the few people that are left.
As for your comment about the block explorer. That's a joke. You didn't make so you can't fix it. Come on what kind of leadership is that. Say thank you for telling me and find a way to fix it. Doesn't matter who made it you started this coin you can make a new one or find someone else to fix it, if you can't yourself. There are hundreds of threads on forums where you can ask for help. Do that. Instead of just shrugging it off like it isn't your problem.  A supporter of your coin asked for the explorer to be fixed and instead of building enthusiasm you just killed it with an I don't care attitude.

I aggree with you and there was the sam situation with my other favourite coin: ASCE. It has started on coin-swap.net. Not the No.1 exchange but it supported long-long time ASCE, and finally ASCE grow up, but it has block explorer and strong support from it's dev.

Personally I started minor promotion with my signature, and I kindly ask all of you to put a marketing phrase your signature too.

My next offer is the follows: 3600 WHC from my wallet to the ppl who repair the block explorer (off course, confirmed by WHC dev).

Which brings me back to my question does anyone know of someone that would want/be able to take over the coin and develop it more? Or even how one would take over a coin when the dev is gone? I don't have any expertise in developing a coin, only miner and trader. I would be willing to help someone else that has the skills needed to take over the coin.

I'd be happy to add another 400 WHC to it. Also didn't think of it before, going to message some of the places that did other coins block explores and see what they charge or if they can do it without a dev. Not sure how it all works.

Update - Just contacted several people and waiting for replies. Will post when I hear anything.

Came across a couple places that will do a block explorer, but charge BTC for it. I am currently totally out, but if someone wants I will send them my share of the WHC bounty if you can come up with the BTC. The cheapest I have found so far is .1 BTC Hoping to find someone cheaper, free or will take WHC instead. Just thought I would keep everyone updated. Haven't heard back from anyone else yet.

If the old dev can be persuaded do a clean handover of all passwords, media accounts, Github etc. than that will be good for the coin. Take a look at how MintCoin are doing a handover.

We need a total of 0.03 BTC to do the Crypto block explorer.  We have discounted it by 0.02 BTC already.  It would be appreciated if you can donate 0.01 BTC each.

I agree that would be good. I saw that he logged on today, but didn't post anything. So not sure what that is about. I would PM him and see what he says.

Also I got a ton of messages asking me about all kinds of things, besides the block explorer. I would like to see the coin do well and will continue to help as I can, like I was when looking for someone to do a block explorer. Just wanted to make sure that most of the info I know is the same as what you know. When I find out things I will post them.

CryptoBE (http://cryptobe.com/) will be willing to do the block explorer for 0.03 BTC as we feel for the community.  Is there a way someone can come up with it with Fitness?

Also, does anybody know this error: http://pastebin.com/xDPtyGJw ?

EDIT: Replaced the leveldb and makefile of Techcoin to fix it.

Great thanks for doing this! I personally will be able to come up with between .005 and .01 today. I can over time maybe get some more to you. Hopefully get some help from others in the community.

Have a Great Day!
I cannot get this to work, what OS are you using? I have been trying to compile this silly coin since the beginning. Ive tried it on Ubuntu 12.04 32bit, 12.04 64bit, 14.04 32bit, and 14.04 64bit but still nothing!

Have a Good Day

Thanks and Have a Good Day.
If the old dev can be persuaded do a clean handover of all passwords, media accounts, Github etc. than that will be good for the coin. Take a look at how MintCoin are doing a handover.

I agree that would be good. I saw that he logged on today, but didn't post anything. So not sure what that is about. I would PM him and see what he says.

Also I got a ton of messages asking me about all kinds of things, besides the block explorer. I will answer them all, but I am not the dev or even able to take over the coin if that is the direction that is the direct it needs to go. I am just trying to help out. I would like to see the coin do well and will continue to help as I can, like I was when looking for someone to do a block explorer. Just wanted to make sure that most of the info I know is the same as what you know. When I find out things I will post them.

Have a Good Day!

The most successful coins do not rely on a single dev, but have a team of people. Coding skills are not required for everyone, but enthusiasm and energy are. This coin has gone through its PoW stage and is staking now, which has been a difficult transition for some coins, so I think someone needs to look at the code and make sure it is solid. If we don't want/are unable to do the coding involved to bring innovative features in the wallet, then the main focus needs to be on the social networking and marketing side, why should people want to buy and use the coin? Is there a niche market somewhere? Is the microbrewery idea a viable one - discounts if drinks are bought with WHC? Website, Twitter, Facebook and so on.

So we need volunteers and someone to co-ordinate them. Putting together the team and ensuring good communication within the team and the rest-of-the-world is the next step. Not getting hung up on a single 'dev', but rather on 'Co-ordinator' and 'Spokesperson'. I'm not able to do this, sorry. Any volunteers?

Also, I do agree with you that HardCider needs a team.  If this coin plans to grow, a team is needed.

There might be a way around it, but I personally went to https://github.com/techcoinproject/Techcoin and obtained the leveldb folder and makefile.unix in src.  I copied them over to the HardCider folder (and after this you can also change the name of daemon in the makefile but I didn't bother) and then ran make.  Afterwards, there will be an error.  Just go to that line and comment out the function call that's undefined.

Totally agree with you! Thanks for putting that out there. All the most successful newer coins have a multi-member dev team as well as community managers or something similar. I will help as I have always said, but can't take a specific role. It's a personal matter that I can not always be reliable and consistent for the time being, but again will help when I can.

Have a Great Day!

This is so strange I am still unable to compile this, I even installed 12.10 just to see. Is there anything different that you installed from the dependencies list?

Great, I marked the block explorer as complete.  HardCider is one step closer to an exchange as the coin at least has a block explorer now.

The pos blocks found during pow phase means the reward for that pow block was never generated.

Dev should have developed something useful for this coin.
yeah WHC should already exist in one of the exchanger.
how to go forward if Dev just looks like a reluctant, it will create a community that will almost formed into will retreat again.

Sorry I know it has been a bit since you answered me. RL stuff got in the way and missed this. I agree if there is no plan for the coin it will just be dumped or played with by some traders.

Dev are you still thinking you will be active and develop this coin? Like contacting the homebrew shops you mentioned a while back? What other IDEAS do you have about how this coin will move forward and add value to it? I know you said for the homebrew shops we needed an exchange and hype, but have you actually called some shops to see if that is something they would be interested in and try to bring them on board as investors as well as merchants? Or even to just to get a feeling of what the market feels about the idea of accepting WHC? If you have please post their detailed feedback so we can understand what they are saying about the idea as well. You want hype convince the homebrew shops to be part of this coin and that will bring hype and interest from them and probably many of their customers.

This is a little thing, but you might want to update the thread title.

Thank you and Have a Good Day

I think oldboy11 said we can be added when we are ready, but asked our opinion if it was a good idea with no development to the coin and little to no activity of the dev. oldboy11 please correct me if I'm misunderstanding.

I and others have asked here on the forum for the dev to give updates, but again dev seems to have disappeared or at least not willing to post. It's been about 3 days since his last post, but has been on at least a couple times since then. Including yesterday.

I was comfortable getting on an exchange until the dev came back and my best GUESS, since we don't see any actual development from him or continued activity, is that he's back just to wait till we are listed and dump. Again a guess since the dev mostly ignores people's questions and only showed up when we took a step closer to be on an exchange.

I hope everyone would share what they think.

Have a good day

Why not? Dev haven't time or plan or idea for the future, or both. (?) The "community" is only 3-5 forum member. (?) Miners mined it for a nothing. (?)

No exchange, no shop, no nothing -> coin will be dead in short time... (?)

I know, they are heavy questions.

Hi,

I remember HotSwap also get some difficulty when he compiled the wallet. Maybe he can help you and the exchange owner:

Finally got this silly wallet compiled, Clouddice.net (http://Clouddice.net) now has HardCider slowly but sure mining more for the bankroll.

I created a fork of hardcider, try cloning that to compile.

https://github.com/TheRealHotSwap/HardCider (https://github.com/TheRealHotSwap/HardCider)

make sure you: chmod 755 src/leveldb/build_detect_platform

I offer no guarantees but I just tested this and it worked.

Hi,

First of all, backup your wallet (from wallet, or direct from your hardcider folder (in case of Win7: C:\Users\<yourusername>\AppData\Roaming\Hardcider). After that reindex your wallet: put an icon for wallet on destop, and edit the command line: add "-reindex" option.

Hey guys, please try to remember that people here may have a day job and are often too busy to log in.

Exchange/Mac-Qt/Dice game added to op and bounties paid out.

Hi Dev,

I asked why you DO log on, but don't post anything or answer questions. Of course life can get in the way, but this is YOUR project that all of us invested time and money into based on YOUR promises. Is it not reasonable to make a 30 second post saying sorry I won't be on for a few days, but that you are still here and that you are still planning to fulfill the promises you made? I don't think that is asking a lot. Please anyone let me know if that seems unreasonable for a dev to do. For me the problems were when there was around an 8 day gap between your posts. Then you logging on and not posting to the forum, but was able to send a PM or 2. As you can see there have been times in which I didn't have time to post as well because of things outside of here, but I responded as soon as I can and apologized for not responding and the big part I'm not the dev or part of the management team. Nor have I promised to develop the coin into something useable and add value to it. I said simply I am just trying to help when I can, which is what I hope I have been doing.

I hope that you will at least show the community and investors that you at least care about them and acknowledge all the work others have done to help. Did you thank animalroam for giving a discount on the block explorer, or Zorro23hu, Stinky_Pete, oldboy11 and me for putting up our money for the block explorer? I'm a small holder I will be lucky to make back the BTC I gave for the block explorer. Let alone my personal costs to mine this. I gave because I wanted to help. There are of course more people that helped like karimdr2 and HotSwap. Sorry if I missed anyone else that has done things to help. It was not intentional.

SHOW that you care and I'm sure you will get the help you need and want. I'm hoping that is the path you are trying to get on. I really do. I will still and try to help when I can.

Have a Good Day Everyone

EDIT: Forgot to say, if the community would prefer me not to bring things like this up please just ask me to stop and I will. I want to be helpful and if this is not then again just let me know.

I am glad HardCider found an exchange, and C-cex is a pretty nice one.  I just have a few comments:

1. I completely agree with Fitness76's previous message.

2. @dev If you didn't get the whole block explorer thing the community raised money to fund the hosting of it.  Yes, you gave me a 300 WHC bounty for the block explorer but that wasn't nearly enough to even pay for one day of hosting of the block explorer, and to think about 6 months.  Thanks for at least showing that you aren't trying to dump the premine, at least for now.

3. I think this coin will fail if it continues to rely on one assigned dev.

4. I appreciate the community of HardCider greatly.

3)you can hire  some  promoter  guy,,, and  starts  a ultra hype

4)you can  start  work  with another DEV  and create  a partnership

5)you can create some porn site  with good content  that only acept WHC  to sign-up (like XXXcoin)

the world is full of ideas.....pick one and come back!

i am a retard  with 2 neurones .... that even dont know how to write properly....i think you dont need tips from me!

There is no point in selling your 22,000 coins for less than a penny... why even do it? Oh well. Hopefully some good people buy up all those cheap coins and do something with this coin. I will grab another 20,000 myself if you people want to sell them to me for less than a penny.

I was under the impression that we, as a community, have already accepted this. It doesn't have to be restated ad nauseam.

woodchuckhardcider has already put forward the most important question, and we need an answer. "Does the HardCider community have any ideas as to who should take over a leadership role in this coin?"

I have already stated that I am unable to take on this role, but I would like to make some sort of return on my investment in this coin.

@pujumba, does your post #318 mean that you are prepared to do this? Otherwise, the most proactive people here have been animalroam and Fitness76. Would either of you take it on?
Should we place a 'dev wanted' add, or shutdown the coin in a responsible manner?

As for taking over the coin. I'm of course still willing to help when I can, but have said before I'm sorry but, I don't have the time to actually take over the coin.

Sadly I agree. I personally think it's a waste to sell, and am holding onto most of my coins to stake. Just becasue I like transparency, I do have 3k in coins on C-Cex with sell orderd, but at 100+ sat. Hopefully someone will take some more interest in the coin and have the time to develop it more. It would be nice if there was someone to follow through on the devs original plan of contacting some brew shops or even some bigger micro breweries and try and get them on board. I am still not in a position to do so.

Have a good day

If only wood chuck hard cider wants to sponsor this coin and fund it as part of their marketing campaign. I wonder if they even know about this coin. Someone should contact them and see if they are interested in helping out.

Hopefully they see the marketing potential and don't go all coinye west on the idea.

You do not just automatically make money for mining. Sometimes you lose money doing it. That is the risk of mining these new coins. High risk.

I might pull my 1 satoshi order soon. This coin isn't going anywhere.

Oldbot11 I take it you don't know of any programs that would be willing to help out? I did ask a couple people from other coins, but they are way to busy right now. The one that showed the most interest is actively working on 4 other coins right now on top of his full time job. I'll keep asking, but I hope everyone else here is doing the same!

Yes, I know it. I mined WHC for my fun like some other coins (e.g. Refigerator, Ascent), in fact, I invested to the blockexplorer, as You know. But, I wouldn't like to sell for 1 sat. I think 20 sat/WHC for 10k volume not to high and not to cheap, however it is only small part of my bag.

Coins to be removed August, 21 due to low volume: BPC, SUM, ASCE, MONA, DRKC, RSN, MJ, NUD, LIT, VTC, W8, WHC, LGBT, CLN

Otherwise, exchange wallet (deposit and withdraw) doesn't work 3 days ago...

It would be nice if there was some good news! I don't see that happening anytime soon. Since it really doesn't cost me much I'm just going to leave the wallet up on a secondary computer, that is on 12-16 hours a day, to keep transactions going, in case anyone needs to move coins around. Never know someone in the future may want to do something with it. Or maybe one of the few remaining people here will get some time and money to revive this coin.

Wish everyone the best. I'll stop back by here once in a while like I do now, but not expecting much. If anyone is planning on just destroying there coins then can send them to me since I will keep my wallet up as long as the chain keeps working. FC3FNmexqwD6vKuntRf6KihFxYxxnrx1N8

Have a Good Day

take your coins off c-cex or bye bye forever to them.

you can make a paper wallet with this:
http://cryptolife.net/upwg/

It can make a paper wallet for any coin. Coins in paper wallets don't stake though.

Las minute attention! Can we crash our wallet and coins, or will be any good news?

It would be nice if there was some good news! I don't see that happening anytime soon. Since it really doesn't cost me much I'm just going to leave the wallet up on a secondary computer, that is on 12-16 hours a day, to keep transactions going, in case anyone needs to move coins around. Hey, My wallet also on 43553 from yesterday. Slow moving, due to the low interest and a few open wallet by pp to mint POS blocks.
