Why not? Dev haven't time or plan or idea for the future, or both. (?) The "community" is only 3-5 forum member. (?) Miners mined it for a nothing. (?) No exchange, no shop, no nothing -> coin will be dead in short time... (?) I know, they are heavy questions.

Hi, I remember HotSwap also get some difficulty when he compiled the wallet. Maybe he can help you and the exchange owner: Finally got this silly wallet compiled, Clouddice.net now has HardCider slowly but sure mining more for the bankroll.

I created a fork of hardcider, try cloning that to compile. https://github.com/TheRealHotSwap/HardCidermake sure you: chmod 755 src/leveldb/build_detect_platform I offer no guarantees but I just tested this and it worked.

Hi,
First of all, backup your wallet (from wallet, or direct from your hardcider folder (in case of Win7: C:\Users\<yourusername>\AppData\Roaming\Hardcider). After that reindex your wallet: put an icon for wallet on destop, and edit the command line: add "-reindex" option.

Hey guys, please try to remember that people here may have a day job and are often too busy to log in.

Hi Dev, I asked why you DO log on, but don't post anything or answer questions. Of course life can get in the way, but this is YOUR project that all of us invested time and money into based on YOUR promises. Is it not reasonable to make a 30 second post saying sorry I won't be on for a few days, but that you are still here and that you are still planning to fulfill the promises you made? I don't think that is asking a lot. Please anyone let me know if that seems unreasonable for a dev to do. For me the problems were when there was around an 8 day gap between your posts. Then you logging on and not posting to the forum, but was able to send a PM or 2. As you can see there have been times in which I didn't have time to post as well because of things outside of here, but I responded as soon as I can and apologized for not responding and the big part I'm not the dev or part of the management team. Nor have I promised to develop the coin into something useable and add value to it. I said simply I am just trying to help when I can, which is what I hope I have been doing. I hope that you will at least show the community and investors that you at least care about them and acknowledge all the work others have done to help. Did you thank animalroam for giving a discount on the block explorer, or Zorro23hu, Stinky_Pete, oldboy11 and me for putting up our money for the block explorer? I'm a small holder I will be lucky to make back the BTC I gave for the block explorer. Let alone my personal costs to mine this. I gave because I wanted to help. There are of course more people that helped like karimdr2 and HotSwap. Sorry if I missed anyone else that has done things to help. It was not intentional. SHOW that you care and I'm sure you will get the help you need and want. I'm hoping that is the path you are trying to get on. I really do. I will still and try to help when I can. Have a Good Day Everyone EDIT: Forgot to say, if the community would prefer me not to bring things like this up please just ask me to stop and I will. I want to be helpful and if this is not then again just let me know.

I am glad HardCider found an exchange, and C-cex is a pretty nice one. I just have a few comments:
1. I completely agree with Fitness76's previous message.
2. @dev If you didn't get the whole block explorer thing the community raised money to fund the hosting of it. Yes, you gave me a 300 WHC bounty for the block explorer but that wasn't nearly enough to even pay for one day of hosting of the block explorer, and to think about 6 months. Thanks for at least showing that you aren't trying to dump the premine, at least for now.
3. I think this coin will fail if it continues to rely on one assigned dev.
4. I appreciate the community of HardCider greatly.

1)you can change the name and the logo and relaunch.....(this work with some coins)
2)you can copy and paste some inovation of 10 other coins and say you are creating something new
3)you can hire some promoter guy,,, and starts a ultra hype
4)you can start work with another DEV and create a partnership
5)you can create some porn site with good content that only acept WHC to sign-up (like XXXcoin)
the world is full of ideas.....pick one and come back!

Does the HardCider community have any ideas as to who should take over a leadership role in this coin?

There is no point in selling your 22,000 coins for less than a penny... why even do it? Oh well. Hopefully some good people buy up all those cheap coins and do something with this coin. I will grab another 20,000 myself if you people want to sell them to me for less than a penny.

I was under the impression that we, as a community, have already accepted this. It doesn't have to be restated ad nauseam. woodchuckhardcider has already put forward the most important question, and we need an answer. "Does the HardCider community have any ideas as to who should take over a leadership role in this coin?" I have already stated that I am unable to take on this role, but I would like to make some sort of return on my investment in this coin. @pujumba, does your post #318 mean that you are prepared to do this? Otherwise, the most proactive people here have been animalroam and Fitness76. Would either of you take it on? Should we place a 'dev wanted' add, or shutdown the coin in a responsible manner?
