About API, our dev is making it right now, it will be finished soon and implemented into games for using freshcoins deep into games as in-games feature. I can send you diagram if you are interested?

Yes of course as I said to you into PM we have whole economy around it with all benefits as for gamers/game developers/investors. It is called Proof of market which means usability of the coins into real markets. We mapped freshcoin as property which has wholesale and retail price.
Wholesale price is its price on exchange. We want uptrend stable price. Retail is 1$ for 1 freshcoin and it is just for invested freshcoins which are dedicated for using into games.

Engine of whole process if freshonline system (which is distribution and promotion system beside payments) and our motto is FreshTheGame which means lots of for gamers. Mine value projection

What is the value of a mine and what is the projective value

To determine the value of mine we worked on a business plan. This plan is a projection on what could be the value of a mine. We do it the same way we would have done for an investor in the game. The main difference is instead of raising funds we are pre selling game assets. The decentralised nature of the assets allow them to be traded freely. This way people who participate to the crowdsale will have an idea of the future value of the items they will receive in game for participating.
We are also allowing people to vote on important game decision according to their mine holding.

The assumptions are based on our experience on the mobile game market as well of insight data we got from the industry.

Constants

100’000 mines will be produced in total

They will be given as gift, sold or shared to people helping the game production
The first mines will be sold with the higest discount. Then the price will increase until all mines are sold.

We will start the crowdsale as soon as the mines reach a 3.5 $ value per unit. Before the crowdsale we determine the value of a mine by the project popularity


The popularity is counted this way

1 Twitter follower = 1 point
1 FB like = 1 point
1 email subscriber = 5 points

We are offering free mines for people who are getting interested early in the project. We will stop giving away mines when we reach 5000 popularity points and the mines will start to be sold. The earlier you subscribe for free mines the most you get for free. The first to register receives 2 mines and le last 0.1



Assumptions

We based our assumptions as the following

Disclaimer : These are pure assumptions and the success of the game will depend from a lot of factors. Such as our ability to deliver the product, our ability to give visibility. The success of the decentralised stakeholder model as an amazing vector to create traction and buzz around the game.
Risk management : We have 4 years of experience running a gaming community and producing game with Moonga. The game production is handled by EverdreamSoft, a serious startup who already won several prices for innovation and business plans.


1. Pessimistic scenario

The pessimistic scenario states that for the first year of running the game

Monthly active users : 40’000
Average revenue per active user ARPU : 1.3 $  

Monthly generated revenue in stores (iOS android) : 52’000 $
Estimated value of gems generated by a mine Monthly : $0.52
Estimated value of a mine 6.50 $ (12x the monthly generated value)

In the pessimistic scenario we estimate to have created a game with an honorable success without reaching anything significant in the game market.

2. Realistic scenario

The realistic scenario states that for the first year of running the game

Monthly active users : 800'000
Average revenue per active user ARPU : 1.6 $  

Monthly generated revenue in stores (iOS android) : 1’280’000 $
Estimated value of gems generated by a mine Monthly : $14.22
Estimated value of a mine 170.67 $ (12x the monthly generated value)

In the realistic scenario we estimate to have created a game with a good success in the market 1 million monthly users is a good success for a free to play game. The average revenue per active user is correct better that the pessimistic scenario.


2. Optimistic scenario

The optimistic scenario states that for the first year of running the game

Monthly active users : 30’000'000
Average revenue per active user ARPU : 1.6 $  

Monthly generated revenue in stores (iOS android) : 1’280’000 $
Estimated value of gems generated by a mine Monthly : $375.00
Estimated value of a mine 170.67 $ (12x the monthly generated value)

In the optimistic scenario we state that spells of genesis is a game created and owned by the player community. This model bring the game into the top games. The game is comparible to Heartstone or the most grossing games such as Puzzle&Dragon



Either ways you will probably agree that now is the best time to get mines for free without taking any risk. You get a chance to be at the beginning of a very big thing !

First specific issue that comes to my mind :

The ability to purchase a card pack from the ingame store is useless. We can have 2 scenarios :
1- average value of the cards in the packet < average value of the cards in the user markets --->no incentive to buy cards from the ingame store

2- viceversa , I can start buying lots of packs from the store and the sell the card to the user market to autoprofit.


This is not true if the only way to generate new cards is by buying a pack from the store.


Another thought: I think, if you want to make the game go viral, it would be much better to have a free to play model + purchaseable extra (rare cards, bonuses etc.). With your model, a newbie is forced pay to proceed in the game and this is scares lot of potential players.

I recently played an android game which has, imho, a good balance between a free to play and a pay to win model, meaning that you can potentially proceed in the game without purchases, but the game is more fun and fast if you buy things from the store. It is called Tower of Saviors.

This looks...absolutely bloody awesome. I'll be following this. I don't see any issues with the planning, though your monthly user estimates seem a tad high. But that's just me.

Yeah in this model pack in the secondary market are generated when someone buys a packs of card on the official store. This means if everyone is buying on the secondary market the supply is getting low and the price pressure is up until it's getting cheaper to buy from the store.

But anyway we are working on a better model discussed with several experts and lawyer.

Yes it will be the case of course. SOG will used all tested and approved free to play design.

- Ability to get everything by playing a lot
- Ability to speedup everything by playing
- Rarity and premium items (driving collection effect and trading)

I will test Tower of Saviors. In encourage you to stick around during the dev phase so you can give your advice and experience.

The monthly estimate are taking bechmark of existing games. The optimistic is equal the higest grossing game (Puzzle & Dragon) the realistic is the average of a pretty successful game and the pessimistic is taking a game that performs well enough. It could be smaller but we are aiming at least a successful game

I think this might be one of the best BTC game projects I have seen so far.

but game is not available for my country.

SoG will be available worldwide or will be limited like Moonga?

Moonga on android is available worldwide except japan normally.
Do you confirm you are outside and you still cannot download it ?

Spells of Genesis will be multiplatform and available worldwide. Moonga android version is under the iOS version the reason is we need to maintain the two games separately. But SOG is done with unity and it's multiplatform.

Google play now say that I cant install game because my device is not supported. Probably my cellphone is too slow for Moonga.

The game is made with unity3D so it's going to be multiplatform. For the launch the game will be targeted for iOS and Android as well as browser base. But Windows phone will probably come right after

BTW I like what you guys are doing, I'm not a gaming expert but I think the originality of adding blockchain tech and a cryptocurrency to your games is cool.

We sold a very limited amount so far as a pre crowdsale. We called them partners. 2 who helped finance the precrowdsale effort.
The minimum for partner is 10 BTC and we required them to be engaged in the promotion. There is 1x 10 BTC open left for a serious partner.
For everything else there are the free bitcrystal given for subscribers and all other will be sold during the crowdsale

I have folded some BitCrystals and some FD cards!
Currently, I'm only able to trade them through the XCP Counterparty platform. will there be other places where we will be able to trade them or we will only be able to trade them through the XCP platform?

Will tokens "coins" be tradeable on Bittrex or Poloniex or Cryptsy, etc.? Or just for in game use?

All the blockchain-based game assets can be used inside the game, or freely traded outside, on the blockchain. That's the particularity of SoG game assets.

Fuel is bitcoin. You need to pay miner fee in bitcoin when you transfer a counterparty asset. To simplify it's like we are coloring a small fraction of bitcoin and we decide this small fraction represents a "red dragon". When you transfer a red dragon in fact you are transfering a small fraction of Bitcoin designed to represent "Red Dragon"
BitCrystals is the game premium currency. With BitCrystals you can purchase any card. For example you can purchase this "Red Dragon"

It actually happens nothing when you play the game. Basically the game looks at your wallet and look what you have. If you own the red dragon then it will appear in your collection in game. If you want to sell your red dragon then you can put it on the market and decide with which asset you want to trade it. It can be 2 "blue dragon", 0.2 BTC or 500 BitCrystals for example. It will work under the hood just any blockchain transaction where a small fraction of bitcoin is transfered from a wallet to another.

I believe they mean to use Ethereum Smart Contracts, if XCP will allow for Smart Contracts they could be an option too.
For the moment seems like Ethereum is the more plausible option.

I like this project but one thing I really don't like is the design of the cards. I'm not talking about the illustrations, those are great but the frames and design on the cards is so bad that it's not even appealing, they are not sexy like we would like and as we've been seen for example on the blizzards - HeartStone game (example showned above).

Yeah... that would be great. With the price of bitcoin as low as we have seen lately, it is time to buy BTC and not to spend... so, in a way it would be great to be able to buy bitcrystals and SoG Cards with Paypal.

Problem is paypal is not very friend with digital asset. It's usually refused. Moreover paypal transaction are reversible while bitcoin transaction are not. Lastly converting fiat to digital currency require a money transmitter licence in Switzerland that we don't have.

About the bitcoin price to be low it's hard news for us as well :) but BITCRYSTALS are bitcoin pegged and not USD pegged. This mean even if bitcoin worth 10'000$ you will receive the same amount of BITCRYSTALS for 1 BTC. In that case it doesn't change anything for you to purchase BCY when the price is high. On the contrary if you have fiat it allows you to purchase cheap BITCRYSTALS.

My free application just got suspended from Google Play for "impersonation".  This is quite unfortunate.  Can someone from the company respond to this?

I was reading through the site about how much of a breakthrough this card game is and how the cards are completely decentralized from a central authority.  I was also reading about how users can create their own games from these cards.  I don't know what is going on, if Google is doing this or if the creators of Spells of Genesis is doing this, but please clarify your policy.  There is no impersonation of anyone.  I just called my app "Spells of Genesis Card Browser", and I don't think this is impersonation.  It is like a Star Wars fan making a free Star Wars YouTube movie.  My primary motivation for making this app was so I can look at my cards easily on my mobile device.  They look great and I wanted others to look at them too.  I do own most of the cards.  If I own the cards then can I use the cards digitally? Suppose I did own the cards.  Then would a company be morally wrong to deny me to view my cards that I own?  Wound it be wrong to organize my virtual cards in a digital manner?

A user fan base building applications on top of Spells of Genesis can only increase the value of it.

I doubt Spells of Genesis would have complained about the app, I think they'd support it.

I believe Google has some guidelines to be followed, I ain't no expert though. And also check there was nothing iffy about the app or some missing credentials from your part.
Maybe u need to specify somewhere that it's not an official EverdreamSoft app or something like that.

You can possibly ask Google why they took it down and what made them feel like it was impersonating so you could correct it.
Consider the cards are copyrighted so may have to ask written permission from EDS to use them? And show that in written to Google.
They do the same for songs used on YouTube videos, got to have written permission to use for monetization.

Also was there a BTC Address on the app, for donations? They may not like that.

I'm only guessing, hope it goes back online.

I can mention it's an unofficial app.  I was so surprised because Google banned my app so abruptly.

There was no donation address in the app.  I did put a donation address in a forum post only to try and recoup the $25 I spent for the cost of registering a Google Play app.  But I didn't expect anyone to donate, really.

I doubt that is possible. They were on sale only last month, before that were free. And those that bought them dont really hold them yet, but will get them in next days.
I guess selling them will be possible at about time when game will start.

Little update !

As for today we are working on

- Publishing a BitCrystals wallet to chrome store. To have something simple for people who don't have a counterparty already
- Working on the report to see who get which rewards (It's a big work :P )

We are going to send a wave of email explaining to people who didn't provided a counterparty address how to make one.

When the mail is sent we are going to continue consolidating the report and have a final version of BitCrystals distribution and waiting for people to give us their receiving address.
At the end of next week we are going to send the wave of BitCrystals and all digital rewards. At the same time BitCrystal will be available in exchange. Cannot disclose which ones  right now but the trade will open at the same time as distribution.

The distribution wave will be done manually starting from the highest rank to the lowest.

Incredible idea! Ive been into crypto for about 2.5 years now, (miner, pool owner, day trader) and have been waiting for someone to do exactly this! A cryptocurrency with a great mobile freemium game built in! any purchases through the store can basically be thought of as buying the coin directly with USD, and then turning around and immediately spending them (for digital data at that) will keep a constant upward force on the price! Also, tested the online beta, great work! i love the rpg + bubble bobble idea!

If they were to give everyone their BCY then you could all sell them on the exchange if there is any profits.

The initial scammers who are involved in the hidden premine have to sell their premined coins before you guys.

First there is no premine in Spells of Genesis, BitCrystals are a an XCP asset, they are not mineable.
Second it has been clear from way before the sale how BitCrystals where going to be distributed, it's in the OP on the token sale site and on the Spells of Genesis site too.
Third I believe by now all BitCrystals have been distributed (the team can confirm that), it was a manual process via Counterwallet.
Fourth the first market (Poloniex) has opened on their initiative, SoG doesn't have control over who supports BCY or not and when. Also Poloniex has experienced issues with BCY deposits starting from Thursday night all they way into Friday, not sure if they have fixed the issues yet.
Fifth there is currently a stress test going on with over 30K unconfirmed Bitcoin Tx, that could affect the speed of distribution again done manually to over 400 backers.
Sixth the presale backers were not given BCY before the token sale end, I heard from someone who bought BCY in the presale (from Japan) that they had them under multisig until the token sale distribution end, so they haven't got their BCY yet.
Seventh SoG is going to deliver a trading card game, they have released several blockchain-based trading cards already which are selling like hotcakes, they have released an alpha version of the game earlier today and aren't getting any money from the token sale until the milestones are completed. They are not running away like you are assuming, they have a solid company based in Switzerland and have already a game out since 2009: Moonga.

How easily you call people/projects scammers is out of my comprehension. You keep doing that, must be a hobby.
I suggest people to go and check fartbags history and see for themselves what he's like LOL.

Yes as coincoin state there is no mining involved in BitCrystals since it's a digital asset for a game. The distribution as been finished yesterday and as it was stated it's a long process. Basically we have sliced the future game 100 mio items who are the BitCrystals and we put on sale 70mio during our token sale.
So we did sell the reserve of BitCrystals we did create during the sale here www.bitcrystals.com this sale is governed by a set of rules and we have key holders that giving us the funds to continue as soon as we reach the milestones.
 At EverdreamSoft our vision is the embrace the blockchain to leverage the decentralised power to give full owernership of a player's game asset. We believe this freedom gives more fair service for the players. We are not traders and we are not dealing with trades we are selling our product to consumer and what makes the difference with all other actor of the industry, is we give full ownership of assets. We sold BitCrystals for a month during the token sale. Our plan now is to build a product where Crypto become easier for people who are not familiar with bitcoin. We gave everyone their BitCrystals even in shorter timing that we announced. We promised to give BitCrystals 2 weeks after the sale and it was actually distributed 1 week after. It was a meticulous work since we have not only BitCrystals but also other games items that was distributed.
The aim of this project and it's overall vision is not to make short term profit, it's to build something together that will with it's success inspire the whole industry.

OUCH... price drops 90% after crowd sale users get their tokens. Lucky 4 those people who got their BCY early. They could sell some of it at a nice profit and move on to the next project or even buy back into BCY and get 5x as many coins.

Rigth after listing on Poloniex, BCY increased by about 400% and then went back down to stabilize at a current price of around 9000 to 10,000 satoshis per BCY which is just about the same level or above what crowdsale participants paid for their BCY. Of course some traders took advantage of the initial rise and were able to make profits, as with any coin. Some people were prevented from trading when the price was higher because Poloniex had some internal problems with crediting the deposits and did not release the coins people had deposited until more than 24 hours later. So if you (@fartbags) want to blame anyone for the fact that only a few people could realize great profits in early trading, that blame should go to Poloniex for not resolving their deposit problems in a swift manner.

Also people should keep in mind that crowdsale participants received other rewards in form of rare trading cards on top of their bitcrystals distribution, depending on how much they bought. So actually they got much more value than what their Bitcrystals are worth right now on the exchanges. BitCrystals are tradeable assets acting as both the game-fuel and the premium in-game currency of Spells of Genesis. They can be used to enhance your gaming experience (like buying card packs) and traded with other players. And EverdreamSoft also needs to buy back BitCrystals and burn them in order to issue new card packs, which will reduce the total supply of BCY available.

i got my coins from the IPO but don't see the apparent card i was suppose to get for buying into the crowd sale.

Poloniex had nothing to do with this price rise and dump. It was BCY who didn't give out all of the XCP tokens at the same time. Who ran this token sale for BCY? I believe it was Koinify? Koinify has run 3 over priced token sales so far and had to change their name because they suck.



The cards are actually pretty cool. It was the reason I was thinking of buying into this token sale. I wanted the cards.

My problem with the cards is they were an early buyer reward. Instead of the cards being fairly distributed to the public through a cheap card pack random card style, they were given to investors. For me that takes out all of the fun of this. It made this game more of an exclusive club. I see this impacting new user growth. Without new user growth this game and the cards are worthless.


Games = fair, otherwise no one new will want to join.

I almost get the feeling it's impossible for this game to become popular because it's impossible for a new poor user to win.

Koinify did not run the crowdsale. Had you actually kept up with project development, you would have known already that EverdreamSoft ran the crowdsale themselves and distributed the Bitcrystals through shapeshift. The fact that poloniex decided to open trading of BCY before the distribution to crowdsale participants was completely finished is not the fault of EverdreamSoft, as it was the exchange´s decision to list BCY and open trading before they had even verified their deposit process would work properly.

As you yourself correctly stated above, you are not up to date on what is going on with Spells of Genesis or know much about the game, yet you feel you need to tell everyone your opinion concerning this project. Had you read the available project information, you would know that in fact cardpacks will be made available to players in exchange for burning bitcrystals. Some special cards were distributed to the crowdsale participants according to their level of contributions, and some where also offered through various promotions including merged folding for foldingcoin members, and other promotions on twitter. You can also see on https://sogassets.com/dex/ that in fact the cards are not worthless nor are they exclusive to only early "investors". They are freely traded on the counterparty DEX, some of them at 180 XCP and above, and anyone interested can make an offer to buy any card they please.

Thought I would stop in to share a thought, and a tip.

I wanted to point out that someone has been pinning down the price to soak up coins on Polo over the weekend. They have been putting large sell walls at intervals and using these to squeeze out weaker hands. Every once in awhile they will go ahead and buy the asks up to their sell wall. And then move this process down to the next lower price level. Sometimes they also dump some to add to the chain reaction. It sure helped that the distribution coins hit the exchange after the price had already risen so high. Makes for a nice scary drop to make even more people throw in the towel.

The reason I am here, and why I bought in today, is because when I see this it usually means someone wants to buy out tons of a coin in order to massively raise the price at some point in the future. And they most likely had already bought in large during the pre-sale as well. That is where those giant walls they put up came from :)

The question now is - when is the rise?

I am thinking about these 70 BCY reward for register ( though for those who already registered it is too late).

In my mind it would be better to give (maybe a bigger reward) for playing.

For exemple for 1 hour played you get 50 BCY

For 5 hours you get 150 BCY

And everyday you can get 5 BCY for playing at least 30 min (for like 1 month maximum)

The numbers must be adjusted according the price of BCY, it was just an exemple but I think some people would play just for the reward at first and then could enjoy to play the game.

Reward should be enough high to attract some people but not too high to avoid gold farmers.

I don't understand how this game can be securely played on a blockchain. Is this an online Vs. another real human game?

The game is played like any other game. You don't "play" on the blockchain.
We are using the blockchain to store game asset and thats the main difference with other games. When you purchase lets say a "magic sword" in Dragon&Dragon (fictive name) this magic sword is stored in the game database. The database is fully controlled by the game developper. The database can be modified and altered or even shutted down by the game studio. You don't have full ownership of the magic sword.
In spells of Genesis your magic sword is stored on bitcoin blockchain. This means you are free to do whatever you want with the asset, give, sell, exchange etc. No one can take the asset from you unless they control your private key

Suggestion: talk this point up more.

Any one can make his own coin we are using Counterparty to make them a free and open source system to create asset on bitcoin blockchain. The question may be whether if we might accept someone's coin in Spells Of Genesis ?
We are working on a system where player might create their own levels and characters and manage and control the distribution of the asset (what you call coin). For example you draw a nice level background and enemy you might issue an asset representing the level. Then you are free to do whatever you want with it, give, trade, sell...


The assets are completely free to use. If you want to use "SATOSHICARD" asset for example in your game there is nothing that refrain you to do so. The assets itself is not copyrighted.
But the illustration, the card name, story etc is copyrighted. So if you want to use it in a third party game you need EverdreamSoft's approval. But if you have a project we are happy to hear about it.

Can you clarify this a bit, it's getting confusing.  So if we own a satoshicard asset we can only use it in your game but you also just said, "The database can be modified and altered or even shutted down by the game studio. I'm not an official SoG guy, but he's saying that you can use the Counterparty asset which represents the SoG card for anything you want.  If, for example, a different company issues digital game cards for use in their own game and those cards are only held in their own proprietary database, you don't actually have control over those game cards.  He's pointing out why the SoG approach of storing the cards they issue on the Bitcoin blockchain by making them Counterparty assets is better for the end-user.  They are under your control.

I can understand why you would want to keep the copyright for the illustration, card name, story, etc.  Do you think you would make these available open source at some time in the future?

The last price is called last price for a reason: it was the price it was last bought for. Though bid price is lower than that (5470 SAT)

i would like to get involved in the game. I have an alpha account and got 70 crystals or at least that is what was promiswd as a sign up bonus. I have never played the alpha but want to soon.

Now I have this very basic questions:

1. Are cards only sold as single cards or can booster packs be purchased just like in MtG?
2. Are all cards limited (at least per edition) or are there some which are not limited?
3. If I wanted to collect every card existing so far, how may crystals would that potentially cost and what is the equvalent in BTC? Is it feasible?
4. I have seen that new cards e.g. Openbazaar are sold at certain times. Are there imtermediaroes that you can hire to get these cards for you in case you don't have time to pick them up?
5. Are there any salesplaces/merchants already? How would I get the cards?
6. What is the estimated time the apps come out?
7. Edit: I will have just played the alpha if I can and see what it is like. -What other game does the gameplay compare to? Or is it a truly unique experiance?
8. Anything else I need to know?

Yes we have a news for this. I've decided to unlock the reserve for people who complete the first two levels of the game. This will refrain people who used bot to mass register and it will be less intrusive than SMS validation. The account validation will come next week along with the new alpha version.

For now we are using the sigle card sale. Selling boosters is the right nature of TCG (for now we use scarcity to define rarity). But selling booster of digital assets could be assimilated as gambling. Even it's the same with physical cards, for now we are cautious.

As for today CNP and Shumai cards are unlimitted. Other are limited, their limitation define their rarity.

I don't know :) it will require some calculation. Moreover it's also possible to get the cards from other people, third party swapbot and DEX trades.

I think this is a community thing. Someone might pop up and endorse this role.

We wanted a unique experience but also using ingredient that have proven to work.
Good reference are Puzzle&Dragon and Monster strike (two japanese games that are grossing more than 2 mio USD per day). We wanted to combine RPG/Card game with a nice arcade experience. For the RPG/Card it's very similar to the two previous game. For the arcade part we were inspired by orbital http://www.orbital-game.com/ but we worked a lot the game design and it's now pretty different from Orbital.
