Title: Anyone tried Chain-Bet.com?
Post by: MarbleBoss on June 06, 2016, 05:08:28 PM
I came across a pretty new gambling game called https://www.Chain-Bet.com in another thread. They seems to be on chain and using the last digit of a block hash as random number. Have anyone here tried this so far ? Would like to have some feedback before I start playing there.

The wining rate is really low to win 8x but if you go through few of the last wining you may see only 3x payout on win. I think they are still in beta phase but even 8x is lower compared to risk of loss.

The payout in their site was 4x at launch and later it was raised to 8x. It was never 3x as you have claimed here. It seems u asked this question in their thread and they have already given an answer to that...

Bet id 20   8    0.0003   Click Here   414057   won

but on detail it shows return of 0.0012 BTC which is only 4x of bet but OP claims to return 8x on correct guess quite confusing. ???
We launched with 4x return and then raised it to 8x. Here is the announcement...

We have experimentally raised the Player vs House multiplying factor from 4x to 8x. Any further changes will be notified here. Thank you everyone for showing interest in this new game.

Let's not spread misinformation.

LoLz... Thanks. Sure. Thank u for the feedback. :)

It appeared to me that the Player vs Player is not much active yet. Hence any bet amount going in is just coming out as is for Player vs Player.

Okay, so there are already a couple gambling sites that work off this same concept (guessing digits of your transaction ID) as well as other options of gambling, so I guess it's better to check out those others before using Bitcoin Betting. That being said, the interface is clean and minimalistic (although I can see it being a little dull) and the functionality looks good. The website doesn't look like it's very populated; but I suppose that doesn't mean much for this kind of gambling?

TL;DR: Looks good, but there are plenty of different options with more features.

I would like to know about those gambling sites that work on this same concept. I am not aware of any. Please note that, this is not guessing digits of your transaction ID. Transaction ID (or Hash) can be created offline and hence can not be used as an unpredictable string. This is about guessing the last digit of the block hash which would include your transaction ID. This is something absolutely new as far as my gambling experience is concerned. If u know any other platform is offering similar game, please lemme know.

I'd probably wait for more people here to weigh in their experiences first before I try it myself.

I never tried this site, I don't like gambling and betting so much, but only check them for gain some knowledge about them. I heard about that first time here. If you like to bet on sports matches then Sportsbet.io is better then any other,
spending your money on a brand new site which is not even confirm as a legit is not a good idea.

Why do you want to bet on a site which looks not very professional and honest when there are money fair prooven sites?
This does not make sense for me. However, if you want to try the site you should set little amounts and look whether it is fair or not.

I haven't tried them yet, because the house edge is high, and I don't really like betting on high multipliers/on chain games. They seem to be legit though, and have made payouts. Not large amounts, but it is a start. 1/16 chance to win 8x is pretty bad imo.

Ah... Signature shilling at it's finest. Giancula isn't part of sportsbet.io other than managing the campaign, so you are out of luck for getting a bonus. Also, they advertise a bunch of stuff they don't have, so they aren't that good. Also wanted to point out that bitcoinbetting.website was released before sportsbet.io was. Don't be a hypocrite.

also their domain name .website is most probably acquired for free which is a bad sign.

I guess try not to be too greedy is the key to gambling.

Whether this website is legit or not is beside the point.

This is because the house has a 50% edge. 16 possibilities (with either a 4x or 8x payout). This is literally the WORST payout of any gambling site I've ever come across. Why would an intelligent gambler like yourself take the worst odds imaginable?

Why anyone would even consider gambling on a site with a 50-75% edge (depending on 4x vs 8x) is the definition of ignorant stupidity. Sorry if I come across abrasive, but most sites have a house edge of 1-5% depending on the game etc.

50% is highway robbery. No doubt about it. Stay away like the plague.

Or conversely, convince me why gambling with such an egregious house edge is a smart decision.

Happy betting (on ANY site other than the aforementioned)

(Here's a free tip -- play online live blackjack and use Hi-Lo to count and you can have an edge OVER the house of 1-2%).

How can you call it anything else with a house edge of 50%. Even slot games got a better house edge @ 15%.
With 50%house edge it's like you are donating your money to the owner...

You seems to be pretty clueless about what a Ponzi is. Lets learn it from...

1. http://www.dictionary.com/browse/ponzi

Quote
a swindle in which a quick return, made up of money from new investors, on an initial investment lures the victim into much bigger risks.

2. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ponzi_scheme

Quote
A Ponzi scheme (also a Ponzi game or a Ponzi) is a fraudulent investment operation where the operator, an individual or organization, pays returns to its investors from new capital paid to the operators by new investors, rather than from profit earned through legitimate sources. Operators of Ponzi schemes usually entice new investors by offering higher returns than other investments, in the form of short-term returns that are either abnormally high or unusually consistent.

In this case, where do u get old investors getting paid by new investors?

The problem it - it can't be maintained. I never heard about any casino (which was legit business, and not cheating service like 999dice) to be able to maintain House Edge so low.
I imagine 0% is some kind of initial promotion, limited time offer. This - or owner is rich enough so he can take additional expenses.

I came across a pretty new gambling game called https://www.Chain-Bet.com in another thread. They seems to be on chain and using the last digit of a block hash as random number. Have anyone here tried this so far ? Would like to have some feedback before I start playing there.

This game has brought in a fantastic concept to the bitcoin gambling industry. Moreover, it is probably the only honest 0% house edge game running for so long...

I never seen this site before and i am curious about 0% house edge because this is the only gambling site that i seen 0% house edge.
Upon back reading looks like the site still not yet prove by high reputative members here that this site is legit or not..
Did you guys tried this site?

i think they only earn profit from the player that lose , the site seems legit and trusted , they also put proof of winning. why would you not try it by yourself?

if the site is legit and trusted, maybe we can try to playing on that site, but with 0% house edge, i wonder how percent our luck is work? i think the most player will get the chance to loss their money. how the owner pays the fee with 0% house edge?

Do u think 1% house edge sites make exactly 1% of the total wagered amount? No. That is why a 0% house edge sites exist. To give 1% more winning chance to the gamblers.

I've tried PD and honestly the design is so shit from the PD4 redesign. Honestly I wouldn't recommend you using it.

How is PD compared to Chain-Bet.com?

I have no idea what you are talking about. Are you really reading what the thread says. What is the problem with PD from what i know is prime dice and it is one the only dice site i am rolling most of the time if i really wanted to play some dice and that is simply because of the simple design.
And for the OP i have no idea and have never tried Chain-Bet.com

I wish Chain-bet could introduce other betting options, i.e. betting not only on one specific digit or letter but whole groups:

- only letters
- only numbers
- only odds/even numbers

of course payout would be lowered accordingly.

Though this is also assuming the site we are gambling on is legit and that it is not cheating us in any way possible.

But congrats to the guy who turned a small amount to a big one, it's always hard to do regardless of what site you are on.

That might be your experience and not everyone else and secondly bitcoin gambling is becoming unpopular because of the huge fees and slow confirmations  so rather ;look out for some those gambling websites that accept both bitcoin and other alts so that you don't end up spending so much on facilitating the transaction alone.

I haven't been using this specific site, but I would recommend using sites like this, which uses the bitcoin blockchain to determine the winner.

It means that the gambler can gamble without the fear that the system is rigging outputs at some way, which some casinos do and there is no chance for us to find it out.

It's also good for the casino site, as they can't lose funds because a bug in their random system, I am going to try to place a small bet and I will update here my experience from the site.

This is true. Unfortunately majority of gamblers are not aware of this downside of legacy gambling games, where they have to have an account before playing.

Look at their gambling live data, so much reds. It's seems like hard to hit a winning bet so the winning rate is low. Repetitive betting on a particular number is not a good strategy. Even if we hit it, the lose would be more than the profit.  People would be looking for casinos where win rates and odds are better than others.
