Title: Choose altcoin for trading
Post by: MURONDI on June 04, 2017, 09:01:14 PM
The amount of altcoin is overwhelming,
So I am confused to choose a good altcoin for trading, Can you please mention any coin whose price is stable, So I can include it in my trading list,
I once had a bitter experience, I bought altcoin, but in the end it did not sell And lost from the market,  For example digieuro

Yes, at the moment it is the most reliable alternative coins. But do not think that if you choose them, then avoid risk. No, these altcoins are also very risky, so you need to be careful

Trading alt coins is gambling, 100%. It's a game of chance. You will make just as much money at a casino as gambling on alt coins. If you want to really make money consistently, learn investing and stay away from alt coins.

Learning investing doesnt exclude alt coins. Hell, you can invest properly in altcoins. Investing is research and if you do your research well and have good market knowledge, alcoins are as good as any market to make money in. Even more in this time.

I disagree. I don't think they are a viable market. They are too illiquid and consist basically 100% of retail investors. Furthermore, they are accepted almost nowhere as a currency... or at least not by any major vendors. This means that the value investors assign to them is extremely speculative.

Basically what I'm getting it is that I don't believe any amount of research into alt coins will let you make trade decisions that consistently yield better results than random chance. The exception is the coins whose price basically just follows bitcoin, in which case you are essentially just investing in bitcoin but with more risk.

I disagree. Researching on a project of altcoin can definitely give you an almost certain amount of profit on your investment unless something crazy happens (market crash). For instant: if you know there is a big company behind an altcoin, the technology is tested (by yourself or 3rd party) and there is solid, good community behind the project (ie couple hundred people) and the buy-in of the stake is a couple of sat, it's definitely not 'random chance' that you will profit on that. Ofcourse the research isnt simple as only those three or four examples but hell, even those points make a good base for wether its a good investment or not. And lets not forget that EVERY INVESTMENT in EVERY BRANCHE has risks of not ROI/Profiting. Just like altcoins.

Go for altcoins that have good volumes and active development. To make it easier for you, look at coinmarketcap and choose the coins that is on the top 10 of the list. That is the safer way to choose if your not too much on researching and reading whitepaper.

I have a feeling that it will be better to go with the top 5 altcoins such as Ethereum, Ripple and Litecoin, rather than choosing the less known alts such as Ardor and Lysk. That said, right now a total of 36 alts are having a market cap in excess of $100 million. So there are plenty of choices around.

first thing to know is that altcoins are pump and dumps, which means when they go up you need to wait for a big drop afterwards. this drop can come in a form of a sharp drop to the ground or it can come in a form of a series of small dips on downward spiral to the ground in bigger altcoins with big daily volumes.

the strategy that I have been using for some time now and I am quite happy with it is to watch the market and find those coins that are rising at that moment in time. then I join in and buy them just to dump them in a couple of hours for a 10% or so profit.
this has been working well so far and the profit is much better than risking holding of big altcoins that are in bubble waiting to burst.

The most important thing in choosing an altcoin is
- see the supply coin
-Registered at CoinMarketCap
-vulume should also be considered
- see the developer event
-program / purpose for the use of alcoin for the public

Although trading can be spelled gambling ,, but by looking at the above can at least be taken into consideration  ;)

I second that. You need to read read and learn from what you researched. Not all altcoins are good for investing. Being a newbie you need to learn the basics of trading first.

I would advise you that don't follow anyone's opinions when it comes to the trading. I used to invest in altcoins based on other's opinion and I have burnt my hands because most of the coins were part of pump and dump schemes and I entered at a wrong time. Do your own research before investing, it will give the confidence to stay with your investment even if something going against your expectations. Please stay away from pump & dump schemes and scam ICOs/coins.

It is better to trade the coin that in top 10 if you don't have any experience or try to trade in small amount, trading alt coins is a bit tricky because the price is very unstable and the falling and rising is very fast and sometimes you need to wait for a long time, I suggest ETH or litecoin to trade, if you trade infamous coins maybe you need to wait for a very long time and sometimes you can lose all of your money

Yeah right, the new altcoin is very risky and does not even have a long life. I agree with you to choose an old coin that still has a good movement, it's more profitable and safer than choosing a new coin. I also often see sites like coinmarketcap.com to know the charts, it helps to choose a good altcoin. But if you just want to try altcoin trading, it is free to choose any altcoin (new or old) but the profits will be obtained if lucky.

first you need to learn more about trading and how it works.
then you need to get more familiar with altcoin market because it is nothing like any other market, it is small, manipulated and impossible to predict most of the times.
all the things people said so far like the marketcap, developers, volume, ... are good but are only 1% of the work. the rest is knowing what is going on in the charts and in the news. things that can lead to the pump of an altcoins, it can be a random news about them being listed on poloniex! or it can be some volume increase on their charts. you need to watch the market for some time to learn these first and then start trading.

and always remember that the dump is around the corner if you want to be successful.

It is not easy to choose alt coins since there are so many.
First thing is its technology,
if it is offering very good feature and solve some or a problem then it is a very good ground.

New altcoins are risky to buy but the rates are very low, and we can afford that money. If we want to buy old altcoins, we need a big investment. And there is no assurance that old coins will never drop the in there price. Taking a risk with little amount is better than taking a risk with big amount am I right. And in the market, some new altcoins are actually growing well. This is just my opinion, and I hope it will work out.

You didn't really address my points. The lack of liquidity makes market manipulation for alt coins extremely easy even for people who don't have a lot of money. Furthermore, I doubt the sec would do anything to prevent anyone manipulating alt coin markets.

Also, as I mentioned, they are pretty much 100% retail investors. Furthermore, it is almost entirely inexperienced retail investors. No good investors out there trade in alt coins. As a result, the price movement can be sporadic, volatile, and irrational (as in, it does not at all reflect changes in the coin's intrinsic value appropriately).

These factors that you are mentioning will affect the value of a coin, but they very well may not change the coin's value in the same way they affect its price, and this is due to the issue I described above.

Yes every investment comes with some risk, but with alt coins it is effectively 100% risk. I still do not believe anyone can do better than random chance in alt coins. If you disagree, please show me an example of somebody trading alt coins and consistently outperforming the crypto market itself for over a year.

Why would someone want a stable altcoin?  ;D
Every altcoin trader here wouldn't want something that is stable which could lessen their opportunity to make profits because of the movement of it.
Maybe you should diversify, think about altcoin to bitcoin then vice versa to make more money.

I choose altcoins by their profitability or potential rather than their stability. If they have good devs and the price is still relatively low, I will definitely invest in them. I can wait longer but having 100x or more profit is really worth the wait. Right now I am invested in nem/xem.

You can see price action history every altcoin and find the significant one, why you need stable price?. Depend on my strategy, stable price can't make profit because different price never too far. You need extra time to make money if using stable price, besides that how about your patience?. I'll mention eth and ripple for start, try with only 20% from your money. Don't forget stop loss and take profit with realistic number. Good luck.

It's true that altcoin trading is much better and safer with coin-coin that already has good management. Such as ETH, ripple, doge and stellar. Everything has a good system and the possibility to disappear is very small. But if we want big profits quickly then the new altcoin is the right choice, but it certainly has a big risk when we choose coin wrong.

This depends only on you, because you cannot actually tell that some particular altcoin is better for trading than the other one, but this is only my opinion.
I think that way because every single cryptocurrency has some moves of its price, it goes down or up: but the part of them are too volatile to make day trading on it that includes really huge amounts of cash, because you will make influence on it plus this kind of activity is extremely risky.
If you want to touch cheap alts, then just buy some of them for some small amount of cash, because it is not worth it to make regular trading on them, but if you prefer cryptos like ETH, XMR or LTC, then you might be successful in just buying/selling it even on a short term.

In my opinion Ethereum is the most promising altcoin currently in a relatively low price. Litecoin also has some signs of promise due to its low price, although I believe it will be even lower when the digital currency bubble finally bursts.
Also, what is the best website to trade Bitcoins with Litecoins, Ethereum etc in your opinion?

Normally I chose the currency pair with the highest trade volume, in order to prevent sudden fluctuations. Most of the time it is ETH vs BTC. But right now I am perplexed. Digibyte is showing up massive volumes for the past 2-3 days. DGB vs BTC is almost equal to the BTC vs ETH volumes right now.

Trading prediction is impossible.
But if you really want to know, i can share some of my research with you and im sure you will earn atleast some.
If you invest 1000 INR in 10 altcoins, it can give more then 5 times of your investment.
Go to this site "coinmarketcap" and find top 10 altcoins and invest in the suitable coins you find profitable.
They will surely give you some profit

The altcoins for the trading purpose need to be selected based on the growth experiencd periodically. By the beginning of the week the coins that topped the list with growth rates were the ethereum, ripple, NEM, Monero, Dash, Stratis and waves. So it need to be analysed and selected to profit rather than selecting randomly.

Better to choose from the first 20 coins on coinmarketcap, Digieuro was a clear scam coin, however, there are some factors that help you to detect the scam and legit coins, even scam coins can be profitable but they are like gambling, so better to trade the highest volume ones

You need to be sure about two things: sufficient liquidity and sufficient volatility. As the associated trading costs are comparatively higher then in "traditional" financial instruments.

Yes, selecting in random is nothing but throwing away our capital money. When we are analysing how much growth some of altcoins got for some particular time period, then we can be choose them for trading as usually those growth showing coins will continue their appreciations. But we can expect their rally to continue only for another short period of time hence we need to choose time to time.

I believe most of the traders are doing mistakes by choosing same altcoins all the times for the trading. Because we cannot be sure all the times same coin will be having same level of price movements.

Look for altcoins that have good prospects. I recommend buying altcoins from the lowest prices because then you can get plenty of altcoins and give you more chances to earn more profits. You should be able to choose a good altcoin, never speculate, and easily attracted to the seduction of others.

At best look for ICOs of very innovating good altcoins that are not scam. So you come out with at least 2 times of your money after the ICO. But there is always the risk of a scam. I stick to my ETH, ETC, Taas

99% of altcoins are useless and you should not buy any of them. Go to coinmarketcap website and click on the price tab. It will sort the list of crypto currencies as per the price from highest to lowest. Also the trading volumes for those currencies will be there. Try picking up such currencies with trading volume.

Also choose which currency is active in more than one exchanges. The more the number of exchanges, the better. You will be having good market to sell your coins in profit. As of now, I am trading with ETH and Dash. However, there are some more good coins to start with.

You could invest in Decred.I think it as the most under valued coin at this time.It is never pumped and dumped. You could get good returns from it.But you should not expect short term benefits and you must invest in it on a long term basis.Next to it, you could choose golem.

Well i am not choosing new altcoin because high potencial you can get but its too risky to invest.. that is why i am only choosen old coins
look at this site
coinmarketcap.com
and check the altcoin in top 20 those has a good movement and i think you can make a good profit in top 20 rankings and you can't hardly to choose what altcoin is the best..
Maybe what you say is also true, but honestly I do not agree. Indeed, the new altcoin has a cheaper price, but does it have good growth? I think the new altcoin growth is not as good as the old altcoin. It's true that the old altcoin has a higher price but has a better growth for me it does not matter, because the most important in trading is the amount of profit and can minimize the risk. Most new altcoins are initially good but in the near future the price drops and even becomes a scam. But actually if you want to trade in new altcoin it does not matter, as long as willing to take risks and know a good moment.

Try checking the history of the coins that are available for trading in your platform. Usually the history of a coin's movement would already give you an idea if it would be good for trading or not. Though most of these good coins are for long holds and you would really have to look at the bigger picture and have a lot of patience to profit

I agree with you . The bitcoin price development chart can give us additional analysis, because by looking at the graph we can predict how the price moves. If it looks good then altcoin is worth buying. Oh yes do not ever recklessly buy altcoin that has a bad reputation. You will only get rid of the bitcoin you have.

Another wise lesson: dont invest in a coin with NO BUY ORDERS. You buying the 5BTC sell order at 1 SAT will only make the guys selling happy getting rid of it and you will join the selling at 1 sat-club there and not getting rid of it untill another newbie comes along and thinks its a great first buy.

If youre new try to invest to big volume transactions ill recommend to you Ethereum and Waves this two have big potential in rising to peak. Honestly speaking as of now Ethereum hits 300$ mark now the the price of 1 ETH is 336$ sa per Coin Market Cap (https://coinmarketcap.com/). This two Eth & Waves has ever growing community thus the investors and demand of the said coin keeps on growing. So i highly recommend this two. but its up to you to decide.

You should have two strategies for trading. First one is choosing a reliable coin for long term trading and the second one is choosing a coin for short term trading. For long term trading you can choose anyone or all of the following coins like ETH, XRP, XEM, DGB, Stratis etc. For short term trading no particular coin can be recommended as it's going to be a coin which you have to buy, hold for a short period and then when the price of the coin goes up sell them. This is what I have been doing and I have made good profits following the above two strategies

Well that mistake often happened to many newbies who just jumping into this altcoin trading without knowing what's actually going on and buying dust coin which have no value at all and hoping for miracle to come expecting that if the price gets pumped soon, he'll get an easy profit but the fact is the opposite, the coin will be soon delisted from many exchanges.
Coin with no buy-order seem can't hold on that long on the exchange that it'll soon delist immediately, just better to learn things first especially for newbies.

Look for altcoins that have good prospects. I recommend buying altcoins from the lowest prices because then you can get plenty of altcoins and give you more chances to earn more profits. You should be able to choose a good altcoin, never speculate, and easily attracted to the seduction of others.

I agree there are many chances that the price of altcoin will increase if we buy them at a low price. I myself tried many times buying them at a low price and made the double amount of investment I made in it.

Agree start with that altcoins before exploring new atlcoins in the trading site. Well searching is best way to know what is the best altcoin we would invest on because with that we are confident that it wouldnt die and we could loss profits. Yeah I agree the from the coins history it is easy to judge whether to invest in it or not. The history of the coin tells you a lot about the coin and if you have a little guts of the trading you can easily get a result from it about the future of the coin.

Also the top ten in ranking may not be for a day trading maybe these coins are for long term investments like the Bitcoin, so then its upon to pick them or some other for a day trading.

Choosing altcoin for trading is a wise idea to have because the potential of rising prise of a coin is possible all the time. If you've been joining the bounty campaigns from any altcoins ICO projects, the activities that linked to exchanging token in the market can be related to tradings. The decision making is very important and you really needed to hold your coin because price will eventually rising of it' price value that can be exchange to bigger bicoin amount which can make you rich in the future.

In my opinion, all the coins are suitable for trading and if you know how to analyze the chart and calculate the profit, you can earn money from any coin. However, I suggest that if you want to test some new feelings, you can choose coins which are newly listed on the exchange and new coins which have just been created. Their price are very fluctuate and you can easily earn money from them
I think not all the coins will be suitable. yes the old coins are not suitable to trade now. See we can not do bitcoin trading. If we want we have to invest huge amount and wait for a long time to make a profit. But altcoins are not like that they will grow very fast. For example, see ETH 2 months back the price was under $20 today it's $200+. So buy some news coins which is under $10 and above $5 I am sure it will give good profit.

It is currently a lot of altcoin types that make it difficult for us to choose to trade.
The most simple thing we only often see the movement of the market value of which coins are often up the price so that it can make the coin that we will choose to trade.

My mentor said " Don't fear to trade top 10 coins in coinmarketcap " If you buy high price sell them at higher price. If the coins dump at lower price wait til it pumps. Fight your fear. Now I'm trading Humaniq, Xem, Ripple, Ethereum, STR, and Etc. Trade the coins that pumps and dumps everyday so that you can roll everyday.

You can try checking out top coins traded on different exchanger sites. Match the top list on each exchanger for the particular day on which you going to trade the coins. The one coming over and over again to your list will be the one which is being pumped manually. That is, group of people working behind it to pump the volume of BTC and it will be next hot coin to trade with it. Be cautious though.

Old coins for me is like for long term hold, since there's a lot of coins today in the altcoins market you can always choose the best one with the best price. What we can see with new coins is that price is still a little above ICO or under ICO but these coins has a good chance to give us profit like 100x folds.

For now out of all the altcoins I am trading, the most stable one or the only coin I have which didn't dump that much and is at a stable value would be NEM/XEM. It had been steady at around that amount ever since the other altcoins as well as bitcoin was dumping. So in my opinion that one is worth to keep.

There are a few things you should look when buying an altcoin. Number one would be market cap, as you're starting out, it is best to choose from the coins with high market cap, best to choose from 20 top at coin market cap.
Then you should see the chart and how the value has been lately, its best to buy at a low dip than to buy at a peak.
Here are a few that I'd suggest, Ripple, Nem, DGB.

High volume won't guarantee certain coins would give you profit and stay longer.
Just like what happened to a lot of failed altcoins out there , don't get lured with the high profit potential it is always make you fall to a deep lost.

Ethereum sounds good :). It was already at $360 and can easily reach it again in the forseeable future, while bitcoin already is at a relatively high level. Of course can it grow more, but the lower priced coins have a higher percentage grow potential.

Given the alcoin market is more volatile i think it is better to understand each coin that you are going to invest is the best way to low your risk. Secondly, if you believe in your judgement the next thing you need to do is to be patient. People lost money sometime is not because the selected coin is bad, they just did wait long enough for it to surge.

Newbie should start with a little amount, trade with caution because you might discourage and stop your dream.
Along the way you will find more trials as a trader that will help you determine if you will do short or long term, but whatever your decision is, it's important that you have the full knowledge and be updated on the coins that you will plan to invest.

Altcoin is best for me because they are younger and more undervalued than bitcoin so I diversified in different altcoins for my future.

to be able to trade, there should be a  down and up movement on the coin
i guess the best is to know when is the right time to buy so you can make a profit
if knowing what stablr coin or much better what coin is more promising tha n the others
check coinmarketcap site they have list of almost all coins and they rank it
so you based on ranks or the quantity or the project of the coin or how big the community of a certain coin
it all depends on you

Price is stable? You cant find one for sure since all altcoins in the market do really have volatile price which we can expect for them to go up and down. If you are on hardship on finding one then always choose on top 20 in the marketcap or even on top 10 for sure you can see what I mean. Trading on to those coins would be somehow worth since they are being placed on the top which we can somehow say that those are good coins.

Hope that bitcoin will not failed about splitting bitcoin. .and i think its impossible to happen that bitcoin will experience of nightmare this coming august.
Since the price of ethereum was drop value from 300 plus and present price is $205 i think ethereum still good in condition and possible to increase value this coming august if bitcoin are getting difficulty but hoping that bitcoin will not experience what you are thinking. .
I think better to check the rankings in coinmarketcap there are top 20 choices that i think possible can increase value more this following months..

Yes we have hundreds of altcoin in the market but only a few are good, and if we invest on that altcoins we can make the profit. For example Eth, Monero, classic, etc. so before investing on any altcoins first check how that coin is running in the market. Every time invest only on long time project don't think about more profit think about long term profit.

Technical analysis is good but only works in stagnation times, if the market fluctuates, the fundamental analysis becomes much more significant.

Currently ZCL is the best choice as it's current value is all-time low these days and should jump by 2-3 times very soon.

A chance to multiply your trading budget with ZCL at Bittrex, and I'm currently availing it.

Definitely technical analysis can be so beneficial to a trader if they will apply that everytime in making good decisions for the coin they traded. Fluctuations will come to a certain idea which will be used by traded whether hold or sell choice in a matter of times. So learn and learnthe whole idea of trading and never give up as you grow more mature; be in control of everything and always be positive.

Choose the coin have a good volume if you are not newbie on trading search the altcoin that have good to trade for long or short trade like bitsend, ether, dash, litecoin, and many more the i coins my mention are good to trade.

Even if a Newbie, the above advice suffices. It's the truth when it comes to trading. Volume, liquidity and stability are key factors to consider when pickinh a coin to trade. For me, I will quickly add that it's preferable to choose from the first 20 coins on the list of the coinmarket.com site.

First of you need to tell your mind  that profit and loss are the part of trading and you should remain ready every time to face the loss .
Now here what you should do in the trading do that you can minimise the loss .
Never invest your all money in the single coin , always make buy those coins which have low price and are stable also , and after buy wait for one to two months and then you will get paid with better return .
And never buy any coins which will is pumping speedily , always be careful for such type of pumping and never invest in the pumping coin .
And also you should remain aware that Don't buy those cous which are getting increasing and never buy those coins which are getting down after increase .
If you will do trading in the ways seriously then I am sure after 2-3 months you will see the results of the trading in honest ways .

If you need advice to even choice a coin then it is better to not trade at all and go to the drawing board and study the markets a lot more, coins that have a good market cap and a good trading volume are optimal for this, but you need to at first concentrate in a single coin so you do not get overwhelmed by the amount of information on the forum.

Not all have good results. Let's see how the coin will be developed in the future. I usually see who the team is on the project, if they are a trusted and professional person then I would not be afraid to invest there. Because usually people who have a good track record will also produce a good project and at least they will try to increase the price of the project they have. They will be responsible for the funds already provided by the investors.

However, both the bitcoin and other all altcoins market value had fall back to 2000$ on yesterday. I think traders can buy the enormous bitcoin and eth at this moment by using this situation and I am sure that these will reach to 3000$ or even more before this years ends. Easily we can hit profit  pole.

I firmly believe that the cryptocurrency which will take the world by storm won’t be Bitcoin but an alt-coin, currently it is prudent to invest in alt-coins on a short-term basis, with the best option being to buy at a low price, and sell at the first “pump” in the price. Here are some criteria which can help you determine which alt-coin represents a good investment.i like personally bitcoin as investment.

I started my altcoin trading career with Litecoin and Doge, now I left Doge and started trading the ones which is very predictable, Byteball and Bitsend. If you see their market graph both the coins rise when they are going to airdrop them and as soon as the airdrop is done, everyone sell them. Wait for the right time to buy them back.

Ripple seems too good to be true kind of an altcoin but the truth is that, for banks to be able to use it and smoothly get the job done, they are trying to push the prices down and would like to have it dumped more. My hold is on BTS, bitshares has the capability to compete with Bitcoin in terms of scalability where it is currently processing more than 700,000-900,000 transactions each day and will be scaling up to 100,000 transactions per second in the near future. It's price is very cheap compared to many cryptos that just went up like Rex to Riches without any reasons.

For trading you can choose altcoin like ETH,DOGE,LTC,XRP. And in  trading main thing is when(time) you buy any altcoin. Mostly depends on time if you buy any altcoin when price at low level than it's good you will earn good money in short time but if you buy any altcoin when price at high and then you will think for profit so for that may be you have to wait more when that coin reach base price at which price you buy.
So in trading be careful and you can choose some good coin from coin market cap which has regular fluctuate and good volume in exchanger.

If you are just learning about trading. You should not put eggs in 1 basket. Suppose you have a capital of $ 100. From 100 $ you divide into 2 coins. And you should look at the ltc and eth they are a very stable market today.

Yes better to choose altcoins for trading because you can choose which coin you can buy or sell. And altcoins are easy to get profit especially if you know how to short trade. I've been trading altcoins since 2015 i do only short trade.
What strategy do you use, Fudmental or technical analysis..? Maybe you can share knowledge about how you are trading..

both strategy fundamental and technical analysis is helpful for us to analysis and with botch strategy, we can know almost 85% the coins movement. as long as we want to learn about how to use the analysis, we can mastered it and we can easy to use the strategy. no matter if we are only mastered 1 strategy because we can do many thing to analysis the coins.
This is only true if the coin has enough volume if it does not then it is useless to use those tools to try to predict the market since there are pump and dump groups that could very easily change the dynamic of the trade taking place in a coin in a matter of days.
Although technical analysic just have nature average predictive price, but when you use it still know the picture on crypto market.
Example: With an altcoin pumped by some group, you can know this is waves 1 (elliot) or waves 2 and can countinue pump or not!

FootyCash is a good altcoin for trading.

Here's why:

Footy Cash (FOOT) has seen a meteoric rise in valuation for the past month; with a price increase of more than 5000%+ on multiple exchanges.

https://www.cryptopia.co.nz/Exchange/?market=FOOT_BTC#

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1374929.0

I think the reason being is that:

1. Footy has Rarity - Only 4 million coins total can exist.  There is a small POS inflation rate - about 3% annually (for staked coins only).
How many of you can say like the Winklevoss twins - that you own whole percentages of a cryptocurrency.
Looking the current price of FootyCash you actually might be able to!

2. Footy is the first Fantasy Sports Crypotocurrency ever made. - Footy is the Bitcoin of Fantasy Sports!

3. Fantasy Sports is a multi-billion dollar industry - with tens of billions of dollars in annual revenue just for Fantasy Football alone!  If you count all the illegal gambling the figure goes much higher - maybe hundreds of billions? (not that I am condoning illegal gambling - but it's a fact of reality that must be considered anyway).

4. Coinmarketcap list just under 900 altcoins; of those listed only a  small percentage of altcoins have a cap of less than 4 million total coin.  Every coin on coinmarketcap with a rarity of less than 7 million total coins produced are all worth more than $2.00 USD - with the exception of Dreamcoin (because of YOBIT) and FOOTY CASH (which is currently undergoing a price correction: 5000% increase in the past month alone.)

5. The coin was greatly undervalued because of unawareness of the Footy cryptocurrency and Fantasy Sports as well.  As more and more people become aware of its value the price will continue to rise. The price may go higher than $10.00 USD per coin before the end of the year!

6. FootyCash has a great developer, active development, and the best community support!

7. FootyCash has a promising roadmap and is currently developing Masternodes and Anonymous Send like DASH and PIVX for the next release.

8.  The name FootyCash may sound funny but "Footy Cash" is an actual English term (apparently):

     https://www.power100.com.au/news/local-news/81959-footy-cash-to-go-to-good-friday-appeal
     and
     http://www.heraldsun.com.au/ipad/california-club-brothel-sues-in-footy-cash-feud/news-story/bd77f7d397a34a067342a113b5bfa5d8

9. DraftKings, FanDuel, and other Fantasy Sports companies are getting the legislative green light to operate in most U.S States and other countries as well.

https://www.law360.com/articles/944544/draftkings-fanduel-can-focus-on-dfs-legalization-post-deal

Quote
Over the past year and a half, DraftKings and FanDuel have been able to convince state lawmakers in eight states to expressly legalize DFS, most significantly in New York as it ended lawsuits by the state attorney general.

When these companies decide to follow the trend of most corporations and switch to blockchain technology - I guarantee you that they will take a hard look at FootyCash first!

Quote
Why would Draftkings or Fanduel select FootyCash (FOOT) for customer deposits/withdrawals over conventional Cryptocurrencies such as Bitcoin or Ethereum?  Why should they use FootyCash over Bitcoin?

FootyCash (FOOT) is the first cryptocurrency designed for Fantasy Sports and there are only 4 million total coins ever; as good as those reasons are, what makes FootyCash a better choice over Bitcoin for DraftKings and Fanduel customer deposits/withdrawals are the following reasons:

FootyCash's roadmap and ongoing development will make FootyCash far better for Fantasy Sports than the other more popular coins such as Bitcoin, etc.

FootyCash will have features that are specifically designed for Fantasy Sports and gambling as a whole.

One example is an Anonymous Send feature like DASH and PIVX.  Bitcoin does not have Masternodes nor an Anonymous Send feature but FootyCash is currently developing these features.

The legality of Fantasy Sports in every country is not clear, most being ambiguous at best. Even though most U.S states are legalizing Fantasy Sports gambling there are some people who would feel more comfortable with a coin designed to protect them in the area where the law may not be clear.

Both Draftkings and Fanduel also would want a coin that can cater to the Fantasy Sports industry as a whole, with features designed for Fantasy Sports - i.e fantasy sidechains, etc...

Bitcoin can't do that, but FootyCash can.

*****************************************************************

FootyCash (FOOT) dev just confirmed Anonymous Send feature like DASH and PIVX to be added along with masternodes in the new release of FootyCash:

From:

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1374929.400

The focus right now is on creating masternodes for the coin.  They will help provide stability to the network and incentives for ownership.

We are making excellent progress, and will update the community on details for how many coins are required for a masternode, features, and other important information shortly.

Welcome to any new members of the community ;D

How many coins to avail in masternodes? What is the benifets if i buy masternodes? It looks good for me i just want to know some more info about this coin thank you dev. I wish i could buy some cheap coins until the masternodes emplimentation is release

There are a number of important features outlined below.  We will be releasing details on masternode requirements soon.

The fantasy sports industry needs faster payment methods and anonymity to protect personal information, so these features fall right in line with our mission statement.

Features

  • Anonymous Transactions
  • Improved Network Security
  • Faster transactions
  • Decentralization
  • Community voting on proposals

Are you going to use the same Anonymous Send features as DASH or PIVX?

Yes.  What we are working on for the masternodes will have an anonymous transaction like PIVX and DASH.  Still testing things, and will keep the community updated.  Hope to have something ready in the next week.

When we talk about long term investment then coins like ETH, LTC and Ripple are the good one due to their market cap and some price stability over the time. And i think this is the time to buy some. On the other hand for short term investment iCO are the best option with some instant profit.

Apparently, you are not new here anymore. I don't have much idea about your trading style, but next time you should not buy a coin if you do not have any background about it. Try to buy a certain coin that is believed to be growing in price soon. Also, price dip is always expected in a fluctuating market. My style is not to sell if it's a loss. I would rather wait for the selling price to be gaining something even a little.

Exactly my thought also. Eth, ltc and xrp are best for trading for me and for long term investment.
Been using for a  while now and it works really fine with me.
Not to mention that these three are high market cap and strong support by the community.
However, before investing and do trading better to study and analyze the market growth of each coin.

first of all you need to understand the method that why coin go up and down
how much volume on different price and how much buyer and seller
choose always top class reputed coin only. cheap coin grow very slow and also check which coin mining has been closed and use that coin for trading.

When I intend to pick altcoins for trading in the long term usually I will pick the coins that already being accepted in most of the marketplaces. ETH, ETC, Digibyte, LTC, Ripple are some coins which is in my concern.

There are so many coins out there and some of the price fluctuations do not make sense. Ultimately, the coins that will survive will be the ones that actually offer a long term solution to an existing problem e.g. Golem (computing power), Siacoin (storage), Ardor (BaaS). I would not touch Ethereum, it's a great platform and a great idea, but one that will devalue due to the unlimited coin supply.

I agree with the choices of altcoins you mentioned since it is listed in the Top 10 crypto in coinmarketcup these are established coins that are worth to hold for long term basis. And for the ICO's yeah your right it is easy to get profit in a short term period if you invest on it but need to be extra careful though in choosing what ICO to invest since there are some that are scams.

Personally I prefer to trade a coin that has a big market cap that way you know that the coins is not going to be subject to manipulation the same way coins with very low market caps can, so coins like ETH and Ripple are a good option but make no mistake trading is hard if you think you can earn money easily you are completely mistaken.

Even more in this time.
i agree mate if you make a good research and you able to make a good timing placing an entry alt coin investment would give you a lots of earnings just needed to take some risk and don't expect too much unless you already seen it, its a game of chances and if lucky and the coins pumped hard you will enjoy, good luck.

I second that. You need to read read and learn from what you researched. Not all altcoins are good for investing. Being a newbie you need to learn the basics of trading first.
Trading is to critical you need to have a research before you go for it and it would be ok if you are the who make decision if would trade that coin or not. And i agree that you need to learn the basic way of trading.

It's hard to risk your money into trading when you're still in a blank paper.
I would suggest eth, ltc, xrp and xmr. These have a better market cap and best coin circulation.

If you want to play safe or to make a sure investment on a altcoin it is definitely a good idea to choose the old alternative coin which have a rating in the market through the years or even months. You should also learn how to monitor the price and the trend so you will know if you will buy or sell in thepart of trading proper. But I also see that it is not bad to invest on a new coin or alternative coin which you can get on a signature campaign on alts. It is a good thing to do because it is just like having a trading platform on a new token that will be released on the market just make sure that you will support your chosen ICO project for it be successful.

I kind of think ethereum is a bit problematic now considering the so much incidents of hacks it has had. I really don't think it's safe trading it. I am not saying it shouldn't be traded. I am saying it isn't safe.

Notably, I think those altcoins below 10cents cam be traded for maximum profits if they have volatility. Example Bela/BTC

if you newbie you can choose old coin with big volume transaction
sample litecoin,dogecoin, ethereum and more

Yes, at the moment it is the most reliable alternative coins. But do not think that if you choose them, then avoid risk. No, these altcoins are also very risky, so you need to be careful
In all forms of investment and trading there is always a presence of risk because it somehow inevitable which is quite normal for us to deal with. So the best to do is to set and always keep in mind to think that there should always be a risk and you need to know and to manage how you can deal with this for you to earn in all aspect and ways you can do. And altcoin as a form of crypto-currency it is also aligned on development so it is good idea to trade just always take time to manage.

Go for altcoins that have good volumes and active development. To make it easier for you, look at coinmarketcap and choose the coins that is on the top 10 of the list. That is the safer way to choose if your not too much on researching and reading whitepaper.
If you want to have a sure profit on regards to your trading on altcoin it best to choose altcoin with high volumes in the market and trading sites where it tells the movement of transaction or the possibilities of development on that specific coin. But it also s good thing to support and to have a new coin in the market where you will just need to apply on a signature campaign in altcoin and you can get new develop coin that can be a hit in the market. Just make sure that you will do your job to support and to promote for the new coin to be successful.

FootyCash (FOOT) is great for trading.

1. The market has fallen slightly because of the BIP148 activation to take place on August 1st; prices are cheap now so buy before the BIP148 activation.

2. FootyCash developers are getting ready to relaunch and release a new version with Masternodes and Privacy Send like DASH and PIVX. Once that happens the price should rise dramatically.  Now would be a good time to invest and make a good short-term profit.

Other reasons to use FootyCash (FOOT) for trading:

Footy Cash (FOOT) has seen a meteoric rise in valuation for the past month; with a price increase of more than 5000%+ on multiple exchanges.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1374929.0

Litecoin and namecoin are altcoins that have always been stable. You can include it in your shopping or trading list. Or you can monitor the nice alcoin of dicoinmarketcap.

if you are a long time trader then suggest for you that buy ETH,LTC,WAVES but if you short time trader then you followed ico coin.

I agree with you guy, ETH,LTC,WAVES it is good for long term trading, this few days almost all altcoin turn to red time to buy, my opinion after 1st august altcoin will bounce up.

I prefer to choose new coins to trading in short term. It depends on the coin if the new coin has a good project I will choose it and if not i will ignore it.
And also the market activity for new coins is very crowded but it's just for trading in short term, for long term i don't recommended.

Things to look for when choosing an altcoin to trade/invest:
- See if the project's developers are active
- Does the project have an active community and support (you can see on their chatroom [like telegram or probably slack], reddit, twitter, facebook, medium)
- Roadmap
- Total coin supply

and judge.

I have traded Linda coin ant it was the most profitable trade coin for me.. But few days back it went down and down to the least that also made the lossiest coin for me :) .. Over all nowadays its stable and static. A newbie should always invest in Litecoin and dogecoins. They are the ones that are in markets and in every ecxhange and you can some how predict prices while trading these coins.

This is one of the components or indications on which i do seek out first when i do decide to trade an altcoin on which i do want to know on how big is its supporting community of such coin.If i do saw that its big then its one of my signs to jump in because having a good support will really have a potential to pump later on but well no one really knows but having this kind of steps would somehow give higher chances to make profits later on.Speaking with altcoin i do mainly go on those who are on ranking on marketcap.

Trading is a risky game so you better invest on coins that are pretty stable and have proven themselves, somehow, to be worth investing on. As of the moment, litecoin and eth have been rocking its way up the list and its quite impressive. You still have to be cautious thou; you'll never know when these coins fall or what.

Of course trading coins is a risky game, high risk means high payback, so I think it is better to put some money in trading coins, maybe 10% or 20%, and  it is not wise to put much money on this game.

If you want an altcoin which is very dependent on Bitcoin, then go for either Ethereum or Nemcoin. On the other hand, if you want to chose an altcoin which is somewhat independent of the BTC, then go with Litecoin.

Trading alt coins is gambling, 100%. It's a game of chance. You will make just as much money at a casino as gambling on alt coins. If you want to really make money consistently, learn investing and stay away from alt coins.
If you are new on the world of trading it may be a gamble for you to trade altcoin. But if you are well educated about the system of altcoin and the trading mechanics itself it may be not like taking gamble anymore. Because you are aware on what you are doing. If you are going to choose on the altcoin you are going to trade it is a best to consider supporting ICO project which may develop new coin in the market anf you could possibly earn it through signsture campaign altcoin. Then try and trade for you to experience and learn how to manage the trading itself.

Yes, at the moment it is the most reliable alternative coins. But do not think that if you choose them, then avoid risk. No, these altcoins are also very risky, so you need to be careful
I agree that we should always keep in mind that in any forms of investment there will be always a risk. And it is quite inevitable so we should live with it. And we should see altcoin as relatively coherent to Bitcoin because it has the same form in trading. But if you are going to choose altcoin that you are going to trade you can also consider supporting ICO where youcould earn new coin to try as a form of trading alts.

If you are just learning about trading. You should not put eggs in 1 basket. Suppose you have a capital of $ 100. From 100 $ you divide into 2 coins. And you should look at the ltc and eth they are a very stable market today.
This is a good advice, but one that I think is even better is that if you are feeling overwhelmed about the market then the only thing I can say is that you are not ready to trade and that you must wait until you read more and accumulate more experience before your first trade.

My choose are Ethar, Likecoin, waves for Trading.

the three of coins is a good choice because ethereum, litecoin and waves can be the next altcoin that will be increase soon after btc reach new price. but we need to analyze those three coins so we can buy at low price and sell in high price. there are no way for us to predict with right in the price so we can only make order buy and order sell in the price we want. its better to take small profit than we are missed the time to buy and sell.

Actually almost all altcoins are good for trading right now, because almost all altcoin price is going down because of the bitcoin price that going up in the last few days. My favourite altcoins to trade are bitsend, suncontract(SNC), populous, NXT and XLM. If you have big bankroll on trading, you can earn a good amount of money here.

if you newbie you can choose old coin with big volume transaction
sample litecoin,dogecoin, ethereum and more
Yeah this coins is stable in the market so you better try those coins
The coins stated here are surely good ones but I don't think they are very apt for trading. Litecoin has been rather stable, so it can be only considered as a long-term investment. Dogecoin is even less changing in terms of the price, so this is definitely something to hold, not trade. Ethereum's price fluctuates more and perhaps one can make profit out of it. In general, I think that trading needs lots of coins you buy and then sell once and probably never return to in your life.

The altcoins that has stable price are ripple, iota and nem. They have stable price also can be traded use a little and large of money
Today they have down trend of price due to price of bitcoins is rising,
do  investing into ripple, iota and nem is good for long although today their price is down but they has survived for long time
they are still alive up today, you can choose them on the portofolio investment in digital coins.

indeed those who give their assumptions are holders of those coins which also in need of support to make the said project be more successful
the more support the more profits that they will get from it, its better to make your own review and do a hard research the forum already got
almost everything we need in order to make a good prediction.

I understand your some kind of trauma right there. It is because we already have like a thousand coins. And most of them are nothing more than scams. The crypto landscape is already full of shit. That is why you really need to do some deep digging to understand the project more than the coin.

I would suggest to look at the market cap and then make some decisions.
The 10-20 coins with the highest cap can be a good choice. I wouldn't go below the 50th position, unless you believe in it or you want to speculate.

In trading, the priority is volatility and trading volume. Because, both will make us have good profit. For example in the current XRP, price is quite dropped compared to around a month earlier. And i believe this is our chance to gain an altcoin trade advantage.

Altcoin prices wouldnt really be stable no matter what and prices do move anytime and this is how the crypto market works on which its prices are way too volatile and unpredictable once you miss the selling point then you will surely regret later on this is why we should really be keen on observing price movements and we should really not be careless because trading isnt just a simple buy low and sell high.

My benchmark also always makes the volume of coins from bittrex and poloniex as well as some chinese markets as the main ones, the volume is so big that it is suitable for arbitration techniques. Altcoin is mostly currently launching in a small market but I still prioritize coins in big markets for day-to-day profit, at least seeing from 2 markets or more is very effective.

Well, that's how it should be, big risk will give you big reward. I am already loading my wallet with a lot of bitcoins that I saw there is a potential in the future and the price is very cheap now so I will not lose a lot even if the project will not succeed. What I am doing is just like investing in the entire market and most if not all will surely grow more than the average.

I think it is safer to go along with the flow for now. New coins are now ruling the trading platforms. I would recommend LUNYR, OMG, ADX, Storj and several more that is now gaining. I think this is the best way to monitor altcoins. Because their pumps are actually based on new updates of their projects.

it's my personal choice but you can try this may be you can feel better.Best of luck bro.
Those are some of the best coins to trade especially for those that do not want to take the risk with new coins with a low market cap, altcoins like that are very safe because at least you know that if at some point in time you fail your trade you can always recover your investment if you hold long enough.

Trading alt coins is gambling, 100%. It's a game of chance. You will make just as much money at a casino as gambling on alt coins. If you want to really make money consistently, learn investing and stay away from alt coins.
i don't like gambling cause it is high risky. so i don't suggest for gambling. trading is good way for invest but first you know about alt coin
and select some coin that future is good. you can like Eth, waves, next, wing, adex etc. i think it is best now you can chose this coin.

You actually misunderstood his post before you quote it. In result, your post is in contrary on what you quoted. He is pertaining to trading as gambling which he has a point. But not pure gambling you will only lose on trading once you already sold your assets even if the price drops. Unlike gambling which has no paper loss.

If the value of 1 token is high I will trade the half amount of my token so that the remaining token will reserve for another high value, I know that the values of altcoins was also fluctuating same as the behavior of bitcoin. You should update frequently about newly introduced coins into the market for example BQX. Usually the coin has a pretty good exchange rate. Provided that there should be able to see the exchange rate that has a good quality. If for trading altcoin better short term. Substitute ETH, BCC, LTC, Etc.

yea it's good think for trading. you can keep trade list waves, strat, eth, xdn this coin last week increase high other all time up and down.

I'll pick 3 very good coins this week in my opinion. Ethereum, Ripple and Monero. ethereum I think it's obvious they are good for trading, while ripple and monero this week the price exploded in south korea, I think south korea is a great place for ripple and monero.

Trading alt coins is gambling, 100%. It's a game of chance. You will make just as much money at a casino as gambling on alt coins. If you want to really make money consistently, learn investing and stay away from alt coins.

I agree with you except for your advice to stay away from alt coins. With some prior research about a specific coin, investing in alt coins can be extremely lucrative. You just have to make sure to not invest into those many coins without any backing in form of a real project and active development.

Altcoin is good if you are a real gambler, with the cheap price you can stock a lot with different altcoins and we might make profit instantly when the price will pump. There are a lot of new coins that started cheap and just a short period of time the price pump so hard because investors sees great news and devs are working hard to follow its road map successfully.

Really altcoin if used by a skilled person will generate huge profits,
let's say with just trading in bittrex if the expert would surely know the moment to buy or sell it. and will give results.

I would choose the coin which is most popular in terms of advertising and its publishing through the forum. The reason is simple, the ICO or coin offerings in short which is investing a lot in the market will always get a big launch in the exchangers. These coins in stages will also keep doing the great performance you should stick to them for long terms. They benefit a lot from this and you get the returns too. Rest you can go searching most traded coins and coins with bigger volumes.

To engage in trading in the crypto currency market, one must know this market well. You need to start with the old trusted crypto currency. However, it seems to me that bitcoin is not suitable for trading, since it has large commissions and a considerable amount of transactions. Bitcoin is more suitable for long-term investment. From altcoyins for this purpose is suitable Ethereum, Litecoin, monero and others.

ETH has been altcoin trading king since years.

Ethereum is like Bitcoin, a store of value, an entry point for all ICO's and trading exchanges. Ethereum always have the value.
When you choose altcoin for trading you should look out for better investment parities. If you play with small money better percentage is desperately needed.

You should update frequently about newly introduced coins into the market for example BQX. Usually the coin has a pretty good exchange rate. Provided that there should be able to see the exchange rate that has a good quality. If for trading altcoin better short term. Substitute ETH, BCC, LTC, Etc.
The problem is that the op wants to trade a stable coin and that is almost impossible, even one of the most stable coins like bitcoin can have wild price swings in the matter of weeks, so the op will have to get used to these movements in the market, since those movements are going to be present for a long time.

I think there is no altcoin that have a stable price, most of them are not stable. Especially when the price of bitcoin decrease/increase, it will affect the price of altcoin for sure. My advice is before you trading that altcoin, it's better to find many information about that coin first. If the dev will announce some big news about that altcoin, go buy it because the price will increase for sure.

Correct there is not a way to win all the time in the market, I always think of the market as a game, is there a single person that wins every single game they play? Yes but there are very few, most other players lose some games and the same logic needs to be applied to trading since it is impossible for most people to win every single trade and we need to accept that fact.

to start tradingquickly select new coins because the movement is definitely fast and we can benefit from it. but for long trading choose a potential coin and also coin which has dev who always update the latest news about the coin. For long term trading i suggest to choose stratis, ETH, WAVES, WINGS

Yeah, trading is a dangerous job and we need a lot of patience plus smartness to make good profits in trading. Trading is quite risky and bitcoins are the most expensive digital currencies. We cannot waste our time precious bitcoins in trading.

I personally also believe that altcoins are best for trading whereas bitcoins are good as long term investments.

That does not seem like the best advice what I mean is a newbie is probably not going to be able to react as quickly to the signals that the market sends as an experimented trader so I think it is better to start with a market that does not move as much in order to learn the ropes of trading.

i think where to trade is one to consider too
some platforms keeps on delisting coin more often than the others
in choosing altcoins i usually go for the the one who has the deep dump then do a short trade
sometimes i hold some potential coins

Buy ETC right now if you need short-term profit from trading.

Ethereum Classic and Ethereum, both are going to recover very soon from the damage.

Litecoin just is a clone from Bitcoin, do you think it better than Monero, Dash or Zcash? Of course, I could not negate the community of Litecoin, it has a huge miner community and also has Asic for mining from 2011 or 2013 (I do not remember exact) till today :)
