After seeing some post regarding bitcoin legalized in india (link will be given below)  spreading around facebook and other social media lots of my friends asking about investing in bitcoin is this right time or 1)it may go down till that can we wait and buy  or 2) it will take off booming then we cant touch because of overprice . As a Bitcoin community member it is good news, and yesterday only there was a similar thread but no link attached, I am very happy now my Indian friends will be able to buy Bitcoins. Is it the right price, difficult to answer as this is not a official government response, so would suggest you to buy in bits so you don't loose out a lot if price crashes. Say 100$ per day keep on buying at different prices so you can get a average. That's what's I do and I feel safe that way. However I would like to caution you that if in case this news turns falls, Bitcoin prices can crash badly.

It is a good news and slowly it will increase the demand for bitcoins. But if you want to invest money then no one can suggest you correctly when you can start. So the best time is now not later. If you have decided to invest in these cryptocurrencies then better start today with a small amount and slowly build it in the longer run.

Well that news will impact the price of bitcoin and it's not just about India's legalization but also other countries and the supply and demand of bitcoin that affects the pricing. I say that while it is still early just invest and buy bitcoin, it may look expensive for a single bitcoin but don't wait for it that 1 bitcoin will be equal to $10k+.

IMO, this is a perfect time to purchase Bitcoin. The exchange rates are still down, after reaching a peak of $3,000 per coin a few days back. And if SegWit2X gets activated (right now it is having more than 87% support, with 80% needed for the implementation), then we can expect Bitcoin to touch at least $5,000 per coin. If things go according to our plan, even $25,000 per coin can't be ruled out.

If you believe in holding it for a long term then I think the current price is the best price to buy bitcoins as very soon we may cross the price of $3000 and it may go even higher by the end of the year so at that time you can sell your coins to make some good profits in a quick time.

If more people invested their money into Bitcoin then the price of Bitcoin will go up really fast. I feel that there is not that many people invested in Bitcoin right now so the price of it is actually lower since Bitcoin is not promoted as much as it should be.

Yes today is a great time to buy bitcoin, a few days to go and it'll increase back its value again especially with the good news it has brought in.

if we don't blow up bitcoin from within ourselves then the demand for bitcoin will only increase as time goes by. this means the price will rise over time too with good chances, specially in long term.
and all the news like this will only speed up the process that is ongoing. and remember that bitcoin price has been pretty high in India all along for nearly 6 months now which shows there is an overwhelming demand from that country.

It's a pretty good investment. I would recommend people to invest in Bitcoin if they have any extra money laying around because the price of Bitcoin is very likely to go up. People that are in specific investment schemes that I won't mention like to put their money into bitcoin so they can send payments, if only they knew that they could make money just by holding onto their coins.

There is no doubt that bitcoin is lacking promotion at global level as its not getting support from the media and the government and if it starts getting support from the media then it will draw attention of many people who are not aware about bitcoins yet and that can take demand higher in near future.

It's difficult to answer this question.
We don't know how much you want to invest and how long you are ready to wait before you withdraw funds.
In my opinion, the best time to invest in bitcoin was last year, when bitcoin was around $250.
Now, when bitcoin price is very high, some profit is still possible, but not so big and no so fast as before.
Still, in the long term, you can buy and hold bitcoin, and expect nice profits in the coming years :)
So, if you have long term goal, yes, it's right time to buy bitcoin.

Why this headline? I would understand if OP is newbie, but he is member he is here for some time already and he didn't find couple minutes to check did someone posted some similar thread before.
Headline is one of the oldest and most repeated probably, topic like topic is not new, almost a week we started to talk about it and we waiting to see what will India do. India is big country, big market, so this will be a huge impact on bitcoin price I'm sure.

It is a very good news that Indian people with their high population will be able to buy bitcoins. I think it can help bitcoin to rise in value. I think it is not late to buy bitcoin. Every day there is new good news about bitcoin. One day Japan, One day Australia, One day Russia and now India. The price of bitcoin will rise gradually and a big pump in prices is also possible. In my opinion people should invest even in few satoshis.

As long as the bitcoin's price is increasing, then I could say that every time is the best time for you to buy bitcoins, as soon as possible, the better, Why? it is because when you are going to buy bitcoin in a specific price, then the earlier you are going to buy the more profits that you are going to have in the long run. But if you are going to hesitate and going to ask always when is the right time, then you are not going anywhere, you are not going to reach whatever you are trying to reach.

In my own opinion, i will say that this is the right time to buy bitcoin. I will suggest that keep buying bitcoin while it is under 3000 USD because there is a lot of possibility that bitcoin will reach that price and even climb up even more up to 5000 USD or even 10,000 USD price for 1 bitcoin. Don't do day trading or keep buying and selling because it is not a smart move to do for an average bitcoin user.

IMO any time is the best time to buy BTC. It was a great time to buy a few days ago when price dropped to nearly $2300 you should had taken that opportunity to buy then, but it's not too late even today is a good day to buy, with the current uptrend I wouldn't be surprised to see $4000 by end of this year, so it will be nice $1000 profit if you buy today.

Well, it's always the right time to buy bitcoin because it is never too late to have one, right now there are many investors interested to it and probably the price of it may rise in the future because of it. If you didn't try to purchase this time then you can buy in the future maybe double of it's current price right now or much, because bitcoin really is a promising digitalized currency of the 21st century.

I agree, someone new to Bitcoin shouldn't invest in Bitcoin while trying to day trade the coin. People that try to day trade Bitcoin lose their money by doing something that they shouldn't do.

About 4 months ago the Bitcoin price was about $1000 and everyone thought that was the upper end of the price range. Now we are averaging out

at $2500+ and everyone thinks this is the upper end of the price. What will you say 4 months from now, if the price average out at $5000 per

I think anytime is a good time to buy Bitcoin since the price is going to keep going up for years to come. Try wait for s crash then buy in. But never ever buy in with all you have. Rather play it safe.

If there's one thing I've learned investing in bitcoin through the years, is: "the best time to buy is always today". lots of times I ask myself if its the right time to buy, and sometimes end up doubting. and guess that? btc reached $3000 ATH weeks ago. Yeah that is right that any time is a good time to buy bitcoins if you can hold it till the right time comes and even I am doing the same and only by holding I have made best profits which was never possible with investing.

I personally don't think that buying BTC now is actually a great idea, rather try earning it. You might buy today and then the price crashes the following day, rather be safe than sorry

We don't know what will happen in the price of bitcoin so I can't say that this is the right time or not. We can't predict what will happen in the future. So if you want to earn risk your money and if you want to playsafe wait the dump before buying bitcoin. More risk more profit, less risk less profit.

It's never too late to buy your bitcoins. If you have enough confidence and trust over bitcoins, then you should invest now. When price drops, don't panic. Just hold it and wait for the price to recover. You can buy more coins during the dip to maximize your profit  ;)

We need to be updated on the further changes and development in order to have a proper decision on bitcoin managing. But for me its better to invest money to earn more. When you decide to buy bitcoin you can also make it more on investing it or in trading. It is difficult to predict the right time for buying bitcoin. ;) I hardly believe that bitcoin will decrease in price sharply. It will either keep the current rate with slight fluctuations or reach new highs again. Its never too late indeed, and NOW is always the right time. But, for me if your goal is long term, yes its the right time now. Also, invest only with your  spare cash, whatever happens its not too painful :)

It's better late than never. Actually it's not that late though, i mean you still can buy bitcoin now and i think its still a good time to buy. The bitcoin price is stable on 2.700+ right now and i think it will keep up or you can wait until the price of bitcoin going down first then you can buy.

Even if you buy now at this price, you can have a decent profit by the end of the year. I totally agree that it is never too late to buy bitcoin. You can always make good profit with some patience and ignoring some short term pump and dump.

yeah up to 1 august it's a good tiem to buy investors will accumulate now and wait for segwit activation, then anything could happen, but now it's a sure bet to do, i'm buying some just in case we have another great run, at worse the value will return to $2500, nothing to lose with bitcoin

yes it is we cant predict when we could buy bitcoins, now bitcoin has a high price , i can say that in the past few days or weeks , bitcoin has a lower price so if you have been buy it before and stored in now you have already got a profit, not just big but it has. so wait for it until it decrease again and then but it, and save it until the end.

There's never a right or wrong time to buy Bitcoin. As we are still in the very early days of it all there's only one option: BUY. In a decade from now you'll look back at all of us talking here and in other threads on the forum and think of them as we do of the Pizza guy now. So, I guess you can argue that it is the right time to buy but I honestly believe buying is the only option here.

It could be lower within a few days but it could also spike within a few days. Regardless anyone buying BTC right now should be looking at longterm hodl and not daytrading BTC to FIAT as that makes little to no sense in the current state we are in. At least IMO. It is a good news that bitcoin is finally legalized in another country. But let's face it. India isn't that rich of a country. Everyone's broke in that place and the people that have fortune in India might have actually already bought bitcoins before because of the incident in their country. I'd say that it's a good time to buy bitcoins. Probably not the best time since the best time would be 7 years ago when almost no one knows about bitcoins.

The price is slowly rising to 3k$. If you don't buy now, you'd lose the opportunity to buy at this price. If you wait more and the price has increased instead, you'd be devastated. You don't have to worry if the price of bitcoin goes down since you can just hold it longer and wait for the price to go higher.

Recently it went down, and now it again touched $2700, and gave $300+ profit, so as you can see in a very short time it gave so good profit. And if you want to buy it for holding it long, it can show some miraculous result for sure. Another country is in the verge of accepting Bitcoin and make it legal and many more opportunities will be created by Bitcoin making it more valuable.

For you, i think it's #300 profit. But last month it reached $2000 that time who all bought bitcoin they are in now $700 profit. We have to utilise the time and money. Yes i totally agree with this because bitcoin is slowly increasing everyday and i hope that this bubble will last longer before it pop out. My advice is you should buy bitcoin now and invest it to gain some profit but don't worry if you lose some bitcoins, it's just a part of the game in our daily life. Are you kidding me man? Today's price is at $2700, do you think people will be willing to buy that in that high price? They won't. And there will be a news about network splitting this August so I think they will be waiting for the price dump before August and buy bitcoins. The price of bitcoin is different than it is in the past, you don't need to compare those two.

I think it's the right time to buy bitcoin. Because by bitcoin getting more known and legalized in many place, the probability that the price will increase is high. And also if it goes down, don't worry. Because the price will increase eventually.

If a big and populated country like India regulates BTC then it is a great news for everyone who owns some BTC in their wallets. I think BTC will be greatly welcomed into the Indian market but I heard that the local Indian exchanges price per BTC is too high compared to the international market. Buy now or regret later.

Good news for bitcoin users. I do not know if this is true or not, I think it's a good time to buy bitcoin. The present value is the start of a small investment and will likely generate more profits in the future. The amount of demand will greatly spur the bitcoin.

IMHO you cannot trust this so called news. Its just being shilled. The govt has not taken any decision yet and from the looks of it, it will take another 4-6 months for them to come up with a plan. This said, Indian Govt does loves taxes, so it is a possibility that they may legalize it. But I would not bet a lot of money on this news. This said, if the plan is to hodl, I did say go for it.

I am not sure about how much the reality is there in it about the legalization of the bitcoin in India but if it is true then no need to think of a second option because we know that the Indian economy is an emerging economy and if the bitcoin becomes a part of it the bitcoin price will be on a boom again. According to the characteristics of the bitcoin its price will definitely increase.

I would start investing as soon as possible.  But if you are cautious, wait till after Aug 1st and see if the SegWit2X will be implemented smoothly or not.

I believe the right time to buy bitcoin is not later than now because the probability of a decrease in the market value of Bitcoin is insignificant while there is high probability that the market value may reach  $4,000 before end of December, 2017. But if we look from the movement and analysis of existing, actual bitcoin would not be in the same decrease of the time that has already passed. i think bitcoin is best currency and bitcoin is very secure than ethereum and i do not feel that ethereum will be stronger in the future as bitcoin and i do not feel that maximum people will adopt the ethereum because people already using bitcoin and happy wit bitcoin :)

For you it is, but $2700 is quite expensive for us. That is why we don't but bitcoin, we just find alternative ways to earn bitcoin like signature campaign, some services and joining some bounties. I can't afford bitcoin so I invest my money on altcoins, after that I convert them to bitcoin. And I think $10000 will happen in the far future, maybe 10 - 20 years from now.

Right now the price chart reminds me of a bitcoin pump from several years ago. The price spiked and everyone was like "To the moon!" then two months later dump came and price dropped from 1900 to $300. I'd say wait for the dump and then buy all you can afford because it will bounce back eventually

As there is never a wrong time to buy I guess you could take advantage of any and all dips that occur.  Like the one we are seeing right now. If this will go lower nobody knows but you'll always have to ask yourself what you think BTC is worth. If you think 1 BTC = $1000 you should definitely not buy right now. If you however believe that 1BTC = $10000+ you should always buy, regardless of how close or how far the actual price is to that one.

Bitcoin price fluctuate at any direction, when people decide to buy or sell, there is a little hint to guess but mostly we don't know until which point it will stop to rise or fall. Your decision to buy, depend on your purpose whether it will be for short term (week trading) or long term investment (a half of year and so on). News from India is hyped, the govt has not decided on bitcoin legalization and will take atleast another 5-6 to make an official announcement. BTW, many experts are waiting till August to see what happens with the fork. I guess Aug will be a good time to accumulate BTC, also prices should be below 1800$ at that time.

To my mind situation will be like it was always. Imagine bitcoin reached 1000$ and than become 1200$, it was like anniversary for bitcoin holders. Than we see fall from 1200 to 900$ (it was even a little lower, nearly 890$). Than rised and become 2500$ and higher. This was big jump in very little time. Your money is never earned or lost until you sell out. Until then you have potential gains and potential losses. That is why you have lots of bagholders, people who wait until it goes back up in price before they sell and honestly in crypto that seems to be the best strategy and its obviously a long term one.

Price touched $2500 and now its back to $2480 so right now its very hard to judge how price will behave in next few days and it may even go below $2400 again so I will prefer to sit quiet and wait and watch the price movements as if I buy at current price and if price crashes even more then I would regret for not waiting longer so its a risk at a moment in taking any decision.

That is the point of investing right. If you dont know how to wait then it really would be confusing for investors. Because sometimes if we wait but with the knowledge that btc will decrease until we buy then it is just  a wrong notion because prices are like clocks that is ticking up and down. If you are long term holder then you should not bother about short term fluctuations as its an common practice in bitcoins so even if you buy at $2480 or 2500 won't make much difference if you are going to hold it for a long term as in long term you will be surely making good profits as price will start rising in future.

I guess if you checked the current movement you can assess whether to go long or you can already go with short term, in some investors who treat bitcoin as investment they tend to hold and aim for longer since they already understand that bitcoin will just keep going up and up and the corrections will just passed away.

I don't think that it is the right time to buy, I mean we are still at $2000 price we can stil wait for the price below $2000 right, especially when the month of August will come. As after August there would be two chains then how would you choose that which chain is going to be the chain with bitcoin price in growth phase and gonna be the one with huge backing.

If there happens to be a chain split, and both chains keep functioning, then it's actually very simple - the coin with the highest level of support will remain the main chain (i.e. the real Bitcoin), where the other chain (the chain with the least support) will purely function as an altcoin from that point. In your situation, what does not being able to afford Bitcoin translates into? You not being able to afford a whole Bitcoin? Or you not being able to afford even a small number of coins (i.e. a fraction of a whole Bitcoin)? People quite often tend to force themselves to buy a whole Bitcoin, while that isn't necessary at all. Bitcoin is perfectly divisible as currency, but unfortunately, not everyone seems to realize that (not directly referring to you, but more in general).
