After going through the fire this year with some big challenges thrown its way and after experiencing some ups and downs in price, Bitcoin made big surprising moves as it finally inched into the $10,000 mark and right now as I am writing this thread it is still making some surge...maybe it is thinking of going ahead into the $11,000 level soon.

Based on the projection that it can go as high as $40,000 next year, we can conclude that $10,000 is still cheap and that there is still a big room to grow for Bitcoin. However, we all know that corrections can possibly happen anytime soon. At this rate, are you still buying Bitcoin or would you still recommend to folks you know to get into Bitcoin?

Of course the recommendation will continue to exist from my part,after all the trust for bitcoin is growing finally after years of determination by the early users, this year it has been finally paid off.  When it comes to buy bitcoin, it has a lot of factors that need to be analyzed carefully, if the price is going to go down anytime soon, why buy, wait for some more time rather and then buy some of bitcoin.

I will still  buy bitcoin for sure although $10k or more per 1 bitcoin.

Nope because I don't buying power but if I do have I will surely buy bitcoin no matter what the price is because my goal is for long term and I know bitcoin can help me in the future. The price right now is really impressive looking forward to a higher value of bitcoin.

Yes offcourse there isn't any upper limit when it comes to bitcoins thus its really legit to buy bitcoins when you can because in the near future the price is only gonna rise further than this so its still better to buy bitcoins right now..than to buy at 15k or 16k dollars !

Since the supply is limited then with time..the saturation point of bitcoins will be reached thus they will for sure .. cost millions and if you don't wanna spend your fortune afterwards you can just buy and save right now .!

i think this year has proved that bitcoin has a lot of potential to rise. even if price stops here or even if it drops by any chance that won't matter. this year proved that a couple of simple adoptions on a small scale compared to the whole world can change the course of bitcoin price a lot.

we started with Japan's adoption and now USA's different future markets is making a lot of noise which attracts a lot of investors.
imagine in the next couple of years jut a couple of more big countries start doing the same as Japan. it will be huge in a short time.

Today price of BTC is to high in the eyes of some people and some of them think that buying BTC actually means to buy 1 whole BTC which sometimes deceive people in the intent to buy BTC.But as we can see these days somebody is still buying BTC no matter the price,and information that only Coinbase have over 30000 new accounts every day says that interest is bigger than ever before.

Invest in BTC in first place should be consider as something very risky,not only because of volatile nature of BTC,but also because there is also a security aspect.People loose BTC and money if they get hack,lost private key/seed or send coins to wrong address.

But despite all the possible problems, speculation about 40 000$ per BTC in next year creates a great demand and push price close to 12 000$.I think regardless of the price, there will always be those who will buy.

I think there are some risks to buy bitcoin at the price of $10K, we don't know if the price will be pumping or maybe dumping. But all we know is that bitcoin is still pumping little by little, it is now at $11K and it is still continuing to pump in baby steps.

But there are some people that are not afraid of the correction because some use it as a chance to buy bitcoin, we some of them really want to have their own bitcoin in a cheap price so that is the good chance to buy it.

My subconsciuos tells me not to buy btc when it is so expensive. Damn, it is too expensive. But I think BTC gain a lot before the bubble go off. So it possible to continue buying, but I don't do that myself.

sometimes we need to push even its high and that is why we need to buy bitcoin even at $10k. Because it will surely increase and boost up to higher price. If you buy bitcoin at $10k right now, you can still eran a big amount in the future so no need to worry.

The price is so expensive right now, it is a huge gamble and risk most for small-time players in cryptocurrencies the same annoying line from people who said the same thing back in the time while btc's price at 2k to 3k, you cannot see any big time dump on its price these days because of the demand and the establishments to its community and businesses whales, the gap to its opportunity is closing little by little each day missing out the opportunity, most if they've fixed the scaling issues and fees in the future, it will most likely have a promising price.

Yes I am buying bitcoin and on top of it I am trying to earn more and more bitcoins really. The benefit of earning it from the internet is that we can get 100% profits on it from there onwards when we see increased rates of the bitcoin. :-)

Well, speaking about the current rates which are hitting the price of 12K soon, yes I am buying at this rate also because I know the speculators have already spoken about the prices of the bitcoin and they are going to reach the rates of 20-25K though 2018 year. This is possible because now we have bigger and wide investor base coming from all around the glove. The fire of crypto currency has driven every nation and people into it towards the he demand and they are willing to buy it because now they want huge profits from it. This is why I'm also buying at this rate and I don't want to miss this train at all. Huge profits in the next year bro, so yes I'm buying no matter what the rate is.

Bitcoin price is becoming expensive price is going uptrend. If I have funds I would rather buy bitcoin and hold for long term. Many of us invest in bitcoins so I do believe we can gain profit so holding is also the best for now.

Just like you said there is still a lot of room for a greater value to come so better to hurry now or regret later.
There is still a possibility to multiply it tenfold and it is reachable.

I think the price of Bitcoin $ 10,000 - $ 12,000 by the end of 2017 is the highest price because during 2017 Bitcoin prices continue at the pump reaching $ 10,000 price, I think if I buy now is the time for those who have Bitcoin to sell it later this year.
If I now buy Bitcoin for $ 10,000 it will take me longer to sell it for $ 40,000

I wouldn't be buying a lot of Bitcoin at the moment because the reality is the price isn't going to go much higher before a big crash and it is super risky.

I bought at 10k, sold at 11k and I did this three times. Sure, there might be one time where I'll buy and then Bitcoin might drop and not rise back but it hasn't happened yet.

I think the price of Bitcoin at the moment is very high and is likely to be adjusted in the future so buying it now when its price over 10k is a stupid and risky thing. It will not give you any profit from buying and selling Bitcoin. Besides, I still see the potential for its development in the future so I always introduce it to everyone so that more and more people know about Bitcoin.

Continue to buy bitcoins is certainly a true strategy for the investor. As a trader - I wouldn't buy bitcoins. But as an investor, undoubtedly, a rates jump gives grounds for further growth (in this case)

Im still confident to buy bitcoin even it is quiet expensive, The value truly signifies bitcoin dominates cryptoworld. and the more value rises, the higher no. of investors are dealing of it. Still bitcoins are said to be the smartest ways to invest:)

I'd rather to buy ETH instead of BTC  it's price now is very high near 12k.

Based on the speculation which i have read so far and my own perception on how the market value of Bitcoin will be by next year, i believe that it is still a good point to buy Bitcoin despite the fact that its market value is currently above  $11,000. Although there might be a price fluctuations or correction along the way as we  are gradually Marching into new year.

Most of the newbies can’t buy 1 bitcoin for more than 10,000$ but bitcoin can be divided into small parties till  1 $ so that many buy less than 1 bitcoin and when price pump move some of BTC into altcoins.

maybe the main reason for increasing all altcoins is bitcoin

Of course yes. If you didn't, I think you missed a big opportunity to earn more money, Bitcoin price is nearly 12k$ at the moment so that mean if you bought 1 BTC at 10k$, you'll earn nearly 2k$ until now just by holding. For me I'll keep buying Bitcoin all the time although its price is too high or not cause I know about the potential of Bitcoin and it'll go to moon very soon :D

Most people here advise to keep buying, even with this very high price. They believe in a continuous rise, but I think a price drop is coming soon. With the announcement of bitcoin futures some people get very excited and believe this will push up the price even higher. I don't think that will happen, a correction will take place. Wait and see what will happen after December 10th and 18th.

The price will probably drop in January, right now, everybody is very excited about bitcoin, but it could know a crash.
That's what I wait now to buy more bitcoin.
Of course even now it's not a bad time, if you see the expectations for 2018.

Indeed, its market value at this moment is expensive. But knowing that its market value has a possibility of becoming more expensive in the future, incesting at this price would be sill worth invetinf. But if ever correction would happen anytime, it should be taken advantage to buy and invest into Bitcoin because it is part of its volatility and its value will eventually increase  again.

It's up to you and it's your choice if you don't want to buy at the peak of $10,000. The price now is still moving and will be on $12,000 soon. Bitcoin has been risky all the time and no one said there is no risk in buying bitcoin but that risk is one of the best risk that we had to take. $1,000 at the start of this year and now it is $11,000 and possible it can move further, that's the super risky you are talking about?

People have been waiting with buying ever since the market has touched the $2000 level for the first time. I understand how people believe that the higher the price is, directly also the higher the chances are that the price will correct, but this market keeps surprising everyone here constantly. There is far too much money being pumped into this market to let it correct naturally -- every dip gets bought up in a very quick fashion repeatedly. Sure, it won't last for ever, but there is no way for anyone of us here to know when exactly we'll be going through a healthy correction. People believed it would happen at $2000, $3000, $4000, $5000, etc, and now we are close to reaching $12,000 in the coming days.

Me too was waiting a big correction after reaching 10k but it didn't stop and going still up. Maybe after 10k many news and articles was talking about bitcoin and brought funds from out of market to BTC. It's my opinion

Of course I will still buy more bitcoin. I'm investing the half of my salary on it. A lot of people became interested in bitcoin when it reaches the 10,000usd mark.

the super risk he is talking about is probably the fact that bitcoin went from 1k to 12k in one year, going from a market cap of 10Billions $ to a market cap of 200 Billions $

a yearly gain of 190Billion $. that is twice the GDB of Kuweit, and that is more than the GDP of Qatar.


now what about doing the same for an other year ? going from 200B$ to 2000B$ thats is simply impossible. or at least outside any rational thinking. who would pour 1800 B$ here ??

Absolutely yes, people become more interested in bitcoin thats why most invest in bitcoin. Im also buying bitcoin not full amount because I feel price would be reaching high in the coming months. Although the price right now is becoming expensive it will reach up high than today.

I believe that some people who heard about bitcoin when it was at a lower price and waited for the price to be fixed or for a price crash so they can get in, ended up losing the whole uptrend, and now ending up buying bitcoin at more then 10000$ for a single bitcoin.

If you are buying bitcoin for the long run then you probably believe that bitcoin is going to be a global and worldwide currency, then it doesn't really matter if you buy it at 8000$ or at 10000$, if you are right, at the long run you are going to be very rich.

That's a nice strategy as bitcoin is unaffordable nowadays but ethreum is affordable and it's better to invest in ethreum before it becomes like bitcoin

If you bought bitcoin at $10K and you think that the price is too high then you have to re-think your investment strategy, It looks like it hit $12K already, so that's around 2K profit for those who bought 1 bitcoin. And even if you have bought less than 1 bitcoin only, there's a clear profit to take as well.

But I have to agree, than hitting 5 digits has made a lot of casual investors like me to get bitcoin and waiting for the price to dip, but the sentiments are still bullish after the CME bitcoin future contracts has been announced and CBOe as well.

Personally, I can't buy at this steep price, would rather have to wait for a price correction and see what will be the floor price. But for those people who have some money to spare, you can buy bitcoin but be sure that you are going to hold in for the long term.

Bitcoin is increasing nonstop, and is almost very near to his All time High.
As you can see now, the current ath stands at around 11900$, just before the strong restitance at the lever of 12000$.
The price has been going between 11000-11800$ at the last few days which is very close to the ATH.

As soon as it keeps on going bitcoin can break the ath and after that break 12k in no time.

I probably wouldn't have bought in @ $10k. Maybe that shows my skill as a trader sucks. I play things conservative and don't take big risks if potential gains don't appear to be worthwhile via risk versus reward.

Btc's price is around $12k now. Up around 20% from $10k. I have a tough time quantifying how much risk a 20% gain is worth. At a certain saturation point, risk exceeds potential gains. The safe play is to look for investments with the potential to pay better than 20% ROI(return on investment).

I think bitcoin could reach $15k by year's end. That would put it around 10 times its all time high prior to 2016? Some people could buy bitcoin and make money off it. For me, though, its not worth it in terms of risk versus reward.

Yes sure, because I sure bitcoin can reach over $ 13,000 and I can get profit because bitcoin every day increase.
Like my friend case, he do invest in bitcoin around $ 500 and after 3 month, he can get profit around $ 500 again.

I bought 0.1  @9800 now I have about 20% extra @tether usd.
I thought it was going to get up again after it went down to 9800$ the market is having

For me, frail to buy huge fractions now. The price should dip a bit for me to jump in. Although, the speculations are that bitcoin will increase in value by next year but I don't have spear to wait for when, need fast turn over.

Buying bitcoin at any level is profitable only you should have some money to accumulate the amount if bitcoin take any dip we should not panic and it is advisable to keep ourself alert anything can happen in the world we should be prepare ourself to avoid any loses also.

In my opinion, if you have the resources and extra money why not? Bitcoin price is still increasing, and you can gain more money if you try it. There are so many ways to earn bitcoin, buying and selling are one of the factors to consider in obtaining bitcoin. Thus if you purchase bitcoin at a price of 10,000$ maybe in the next 2-3 week, you can gain 1,000$ – 2,000$ or above. But it always depends on the rate in the market. 

It comes to a great surge of bitcoin that it reaches at $10k  and still moving forward. Believing bitcoin capabilities to perform a great trend in the market will boost investors to continuously support bitcoin and expected a lot of new comers will get in. Even though, price of bitcoin is expensive but still a gaining profit and we should not loss this opportunity because it might be a way to have better future.

I agree, even the value going up and reach the $15k per 1 bitcoin, i still buying a bitcoin, because like you said bitcoin will never stop to grow his value, and i agree on that. That's why when i have chance to buy 1 bitcoin i will do that and hold for a long term.

That's not a risk though or he's talking about the possible opposite result that it can bring to us. Having a great increase for the total market cap of bitcoin looks threat to him. But I don't think that it will happen and I don't treat it as something like that, don't be too worried about that "super" risky. Just buy bitcoin and forget about it for awhile, take time to relax and get back to it when you are ready to become a millionaire.

I would definitely suggest people to enter into the bitcoin community and will buy bitcoins as still there is room for bitcoins to grow even higher than the current value of bitcoins of $ 12864 may be in the near future there are chances for the bitcoins to surge above $ 40000 so as compared to that price the current price will be low, so I would say better to invest now than wait for the prices to go even higher due to high demand for the bitcoin and blockchain network.

Why not? LOL. If you stopped buying Bitcoin at 10k$ I think for now you're feeling regret about it cause price of Bitcoin is 13k$ at the moment and it'll keep increasing in the future. As at today some people are placing orders at $13,500 in the orders book on most of the exchangers platforms. A friend called me to said he wanted to buying bitcoin if I can direct him and when I told him were bitcoin price is today he said he will still like to buy it at$13050! Before end of this month bitcoin price may be above $15,000 the way things are going. Bitcoin has made significant progress and one needs to still buying now to make big profits in days to come.

Yes most of them still buying bitcoin at the rate of $10k because it's rate increase day by day and today rate arround $13k so the invester get profit only in bitcoin and it will increase in future so you much get profit in future .

Yes because the price is going up fastly and highly. Its now 13000$ so the people which bought with $10k made already $3k at least as profit. Thats just an example, so imagine if they hold for some other months or years, they will make a wealth surely.

Of course yes. Bitcoin never will be cheaper, its price still growing so if you want buy it do it as fast as possible. Because if faster you do it than your profit will be higher

Now even 12K seems to be a good investment, I got a loan from a friend based in BTC and the rates are going to hell in compare to usd one.

I'll answer your question with a question of my own: why not? I don't see a reason why people can't buy into Bitcoin right now despite given its at an ATH nearly everyday here. I bought an ATH way back in May and June and some may have said that was crazy of me but I thought it was the right decision. In hindsight it was the correct decision because I don't think I would have gotten in after the fact. Lets say by next year end BTC is equal to 50k the people who were thinking about getting in now may say forget it and leave it therefore I ask again why not? If you think Bitcoin is the digital savior and is digital gold then you should get in regardless of price.

The evolution of bitcoin is sensational but still the price is low. Even if there will be some market regulation the price will grow forward so i recommend to buy bitcoin, even at 10 or 11k.

I never buy Bitcoin, I just collect Bitcoin by work. I am still collecting until now, and I will still collect it anytime. I still have some Bitcoins and the numbers are small. So I have to collect more so that the amount of money I invest more and more I can get more profit. I wish Bitcoin could change my economy, I wish I could buy a house and make my family happy with Bitcoin. So I will still collect Bitcoin until whenever and until the price of Bitcoin is very high. Maybe when all my dreams have been achieved, I'll sell my Bitcoin. But I still wondering, is it possible for Bitcoin to double until $100,000 in the future ?

Yes I am very much interested on buying bitcoin at this time. No matter about the price. If you want earn more then you should take risks as well.
I've heard so many positive news that its gonna reach very high especially in 2018 end. But the problem is how bankers and governments gonna react on this tremendous growth Do they try to stop this ?

Yes, even now that it is almost $16k we should still buy bitcoin because it will keep on rising next year. The moment it will rise to higher and higher, it could be very difficult for us to buy it. So it is better to buy it now then later.

To be honest mate no one will buy bitcoin now adays because the price is so expensive and we are not sure if this time is a good idea to buy because there are new fork coming on this month of december maybe it will overtake to take down the value of bitcoin value.  Perhaps much better to wait to avoid huge lose.  

very scary but also promising for the future. today there are many new investors who are fond of bitcoin since he broke through people's predictions. they don't care how big the current price, what they want is soon to have bitcoin and save it for the future. The price of bitcoin is over $14,000 right now and that is a very good profit if you buy bitcoin at $10,000. Its market value is already over 11000 USD, but still, there are people who are buying at that amount of value simply because they are awared and they know that its market value will be more expensive in the future as its value continue growing. it is indeed expensive at this moment, but profit is assured in the future so it is worth investing.

Buying at $10k looked like a big risk and gamble.But for those who bought at that price,the gamble paid off and even now at $15k,there is still a big chance of going up ..may be to $20k..but the risk is very high..the bubble is getting bigger and bigger !

until right now the price of bitcoin is reached $15000 and when i see in the market buy order of bitcoin is still high, i dont know why the demand on bitcoin is very high but it will be good for us to hear this news. usually when the price of cryptocurrencies is too high the demand of that coin is decreased, it doesn't apply in bitcoin, when the price of bitcoin increased the demand is increased too

Your predictions are completely accurate until now. There is hardly anything that can stop Bitcoin at the moment. People are expecting something from the miner and the publisher, possibly a price adjustment. I do not want Bitcoin to explode or disappear forever

For those who are worried because of its market value that is now expensive, they are f4ee to wait until its market value fall. Today we've seen that buying at 10K was not a bad idea at all. But it happened so fast, that even if you wanted to buy you'd be too late. You could still buy at this incredible high price, but maybe you better wait for a correction which will come soon. After the futures launch the price will drop to 8K, a better price to buy and hold. Next year March the price will hit 15K.

I think it's not too late at all. But if consider the gaining profit, it is a little bit smaller that of buying bitcoin when the price is down. Yes, it is truly that bitcoin getting expensive as its price continuously going up. And it's gonna be a waste of time waiting for it will fall down because I believe that it won't get back to $9k anymore. This is only an options for us, buy now or invest nothing.

I’m doubting myself on this part, investing in a high price because of the reality I’m can’t afford beyond what I have. It is sad that I’m regretting while looking for price increase but convincing myself that it will be down and I will buy at dip. This is more of accepting that it’s too high price for me. Of i would still recommend for people to use bitcoin or buy it but dont buy in a high price although it is most likely impossible to buy 1 bitcoin people can still buy worth $3000 of bitcoin then add some over time through buying into dips or working through sig campaigns. Bitcoin price is currently to $17k but if before when it was $10k it is okay to buy. But for now at this price Im doubting to buy btc for now because price is very expensive. Yes I would still recommend people to invest in bitcoin because we cannot predict the bitcoin price because of its volatility. I think some people will still buy bitcoin even if its price will be $10,000 or even if its price will be higher, people will still buy it. I think it is going to be stable for a few days, but it will end up rising again to over $20,000 because it would make sense for it not to at this point. There is just too much buying power right now wanting to get it over $20,000 and people are holding until then. It is all up to us so if we are happy with bitcoin and can buy today at high price and wait for it to grow more will be beneficial. This is now a big "if". Again, bitcoins are at $15,000 now and I don't even know if it would stop at an all time high of $17,000. This is getting ridiculous actually. If you bought bitcoin when the price is 10k dollars and until now you keep it for sure you will earn 60 percent profit from your capital because yhe prive today is 16k dollars plus and it will continue to increase for sure the price. Its market value at this moment already broke the 12000 USD and is still expected to continue growing and becoming more expensive so I think buying at its current price although it is already expensive, will still yield to huge profit kn the future as it continue becoming more expensive.

There really is huge room for bitcoin growth and we haven't seen its full potential yet. And if you look at it now $10K is really cheap and if you bought (I hope you did) you already have made a really great profit! And yes, after reaching more ATH at a fast pace we are now waiting for some corrections and I think it already happened after btc reached around $18K to $19K in some exchanges it went back to as low as $13K and immediately went back a little over $15K. There's no harm in buying in now even if for example the price is at 20K because as you've said that it can go as high as 40K next year. Just recently I have a friend whom I talked btc to 3 months ago. She set aside btc since she was busy working and have no time to study it but when I talked to her again and told her all the latest news about btc she immediately went to see me after her work and decided that it might be the right time for her to take it seriously. Although she's a bit late I still encouraged her to try it and make for the time she lost not believing it earlier. That is correct, the mathematics and statistics are all favoring bitcoin for next year but i doubt if it will get to 1 million dollars because that is too much an amount of money to price just a single bitcoin. It might be one day but for 2018, that will be too much within a short time.

Thus far it has never been to late to enter the market, but there will always be people missing out on fantastic initial opportunities. If the price goes up to $20k next week, people will regret that they didn't buy at $15k. If the price goes up to $50,000, they will regret not having bought at $40k, etc. It's basically a cycle these people can't escape from due to their lack of confidence to pull the trigger for once. If the demand remains as strong as it is right now even in the next year, we'll break through the $30k level for sure. When I said I wanted to buy bitcoins at $12k price, people told me not to buy it. They told there will be a correction wave in bitcoin. But they were all wrong in it. The price almost reached $20k now.

Until you wait for a correction you'll be ending up broke. There are too many people that keeps on saying that there will be a correction, there will be a crash just to stop you from buying at the dip. If the dip has happened already before that will be a go signal to keep on buying. And if you bought at $10,000 then you gain $10,000 already since the price now is dancing at $20,000.

Not buying at 4000$ and 5000$ was the biggest mistake that the most of us made. I personally never thought it would reach this current value so fast. I waited for a drop to buy but i ended up buying some when bitcoin was 11.000$. It was a reasonable price compared to buying at 15000$ now or more.

There is no need to be waiting for a serious panic right now. We have already had a very huge correction and bitcoin has shown a great sign of health, so the only thing one should wait for now is the good tops again but how long we are going to get back there is what no one knows right now. If the price drops again, then that would be a sure sign to buy, but for now, I feel the price has dropped enough.

I definitely still buy bitcoin even at 10k. Though it is a bit pricey but it is worth it and compared it to the value of bitcoin today, it is affordable. Though bitcoin right now is absolutely unstable, i know a few days or even weeks from now, bitcoin will constantly increase in value.

Even if i have an extra money i will invest and save it for later and go and buy bitcoin even if it has a large value price of millions of dollars i wont hesitate to save it for bitcoin cause it still grows even for that price.
