The Taylor app is an intermediary between the user and the exchange. The trade itself doesn't happen within the app but at the exchange itself. One of the reasons we chose to work with Bittrex is there superior security protocol. You should have nothing to worry about.

Despite looking like a good project, I couldn't see much utility for the TAY token, only the 3 month-free use of the platform e very little incentive.

The main token utility is not the 3-month trial but the ability to pay for the service using TAY and get access to premium features and a discounted monthly fee.

I will be waiting for the tokens sale and participate on the bounty program. Also, If you guys need any help in product management or something similar let me know. 👊

I just created my account here, well, for one thing because I'm new to crypto-currency and really want to educate myself, for second because I stumbled upon your short youtube video "Quick trade, 1% profit in 2 minutes!" when I was reading up on trading strategies and scalping, which eventually brought me here.

So I've been looking at your different web pages, blogs and stuff. I like that you seem quite transparent about what you're doing (but this is only a subjective impression since I'm a total n00b so my judgment is pretty much uneducated), you're keen on giving loads of information on your development team, implementing KYC is probably a sign that you're serious about what you're doing. Heck, even reading you here using the expression "gender non-binary" makes me like you.

But then I get to the point when I keep reading that your project is aimed at dumbing things down to people like me and providing us a tool that can help us with trading, but then it all becomes super complicated with this whole token thing and ICOs (most are scams) and I still haven't figured out what the heck is all this and how do I get in, and what will it cost me... and what exactly will it allow me to do and how reliable it is.

So between all the different platforms you use to communicate, the blogs, the twitters, telegram (which i have no clue how to use yet) I find all of this really confusing and very pretty, but very obscure. Ya get me?  ??? ???

Or, maybe, I'm just being super clueless and thick and I just didn't look in the right places. Be it as it may, your project is aimed at thick and dumb people like me... so there's that.

Yea, we totally get you! It's too much new info around this cryptoworld. So, first things first: We're launching an app to help people trade cryptocurrencies, and that's our product. We're also issuing our own cryptocurrency - TAY. How? Through a token sale. The token is basically a form of funding for a company and people generally buy coins on token sales because they believe in the project and want to support it and/or believe the coin will appreciate in value over time. And lastly, what will the monthly fee be, in fiat (or ETH)? Hard to evaluate the benefit of having TAY to pay for it if I have no idea of its value compared to fiat (or ETH). I am really interested in the project. And seeing that I can get into this project with just .01ETH is definitely a good start for me. This would be my first foray into Crypto and hopefully I get to purchase at the discounted price. Still a noob actually and learning the ropes of this space.

But I truly believe that this application would be very beneficial for all new traders. I haven't actually seen the full details on how this would be implemented? Will it just notify users of their existing trades or will also allow them to trade directly to any exchange site?

after the token sale, everyone will be able to buy TAY through exchanges on the market. But tokens will only be issued during the token sale.

We believe the production version of the app will be available in no more than 3 months after the token sale. About requering KYC to use the app, it is yet to be determined but I would say probably yes.

Here is an explanation:
Our market monitor bot watch for trading opportunities in hundreds of coin pairs. Once found, it will notify users through the mobile app. Users will then decide if they want to enter that trade using the funds they have in their exchanges. Just set how much you want to invest and your target profit and you are good to go. Our trading bot will do all the hard work for you, setting buy and sell orders and even stop orders. After the trade you will be notified of the results.

We're building a trading platform with smart signals that will warn you when it's a good time to enter a trade. You just select how much you want to invest, the % you intend to gain and our app will automatically place stop-gain and stop-loss orders for you. It's all done via API that will integrate with the major exchanges on the market :) We'll start with Bittrex and then Binance and Poloniex, with more to follow!

I have been following this project for some time and really itching to invest in the token sale.
The updated whitepaper where it says you get basic app access for 1000 TAY is nice and i will probably use that.

The thing i just don't see yet is the use of the tokens if you are not planning on using the app.

They say you can pay for a subscription using tokens but you can also do that by credit card, so no real need to buy tokens to get a subscription.
The other premium services for which you can pay with TAY are still not clear, so right now i have no clue if these tokens are of any use??

Please explain the use of tokens a bit more. Just can't see the value of it right now if i can also pay for a subscription and additional features with a credit card.

Also if i do the math correctly, 1000 TAY will give you free App access, the basic membership will be around $ 60 a month, so that's $720 a year.
So basically 1000 tokens are worth $ 720  (if you considder holding them a year)  which means $ 0,72 cents. The token sale lists 1 TAY at 0,0007 ETH which is around $ 0,63 cents now.

So by taking a risk and buying 1000 TAY i will have to use the app for at least 10 months to end up saving money on a subscription. I might not like it or use it longer than 10 months. Also the first 6 months are free so basically i have to wait 16 months before my ICO tokens will be cheaper than just buying a regular subscription with credit card.


So it comes down to the question: What can i do with the tokens besides using it on TAY services and subscriptions, and what will the exac pricing be of the different subscriptions and additional features.

the use of the token is basically to pay for the service, but sure not only that in the future. There is one feature in our roadmap, the social trading will probably use our tokens to monetize strategies created by our users which is another utility for the token. But for now, it is only to pay for the service. The premium plan will only be accessible for the ones how paid using TAY or by holding 3000 TAY. There is no other way to access the premium plan, even by credit card. So all the value depends on the value of the features in the premium plan. We have many ideas for that, but here are two features that we will implement:
1) higher trading limits
Due to the fact that our main user target is newbies to crypto, we will set a strict trading limit for the basic plan. So, every more experienced user will probably want the premium plan which only can be purchased using TAY.
2) priority notifications
Since trading opportunities using the scalping strategy have a very short life-span, the users that act quickly will be able to make more profitable trades. We will not delay notification to basic users, but premium users will receive it first.

We believe that only these two features plus more to come will set a proper value on the premium plan.

Another way to see it is the fact that the money you put paying for the subscription is a sunk cost while the holding is not. By holding you can get your money back (or at least part of it depending on the TAY price). I don't think it is fair to compare a sunk cost with money put in holding of tokens.

One information that I need to correct in your thinking is that the first 6 months will be free. That is not correct. The service will be free while the app is still in beta. We will start charging when it leaves the beta.

notsofast helped me on twitter, I had to use my ether wallet and change the gas price to 22222 and do the transaction a couple of times before it would go through. worked in the end tho :)

No need to panic, just use 200,000 gas price and 10-20 gwei( since the network isn't loaded). I'm surprised this hasn't sold out.

Are there any hints of the exchanges which will be used for trading. Will there be just BTC/USD pairs or also trading with Altcoins?

during the beta launch and for three months after the alpha lunch the app will be free. This is great so everbody who is interested in using taylor has enough time to do so. To be fair, you could do more. At least daily or weekly progress reports/tweet would do it. Other in-development projects give progress notes very often. Last thing we heard from you was about the Api problem with bittrex. But you could work on binance api entegration or at least kucoin on paralel. You could be working, but again we have no clue, because no news are shares with us. I understand that you are working hard on app, but this should not take this long to release a beta. At least in crypto time, especially now that market turned bullish, investors keep loosing money because they could have earned much more otherwise.

If there was anyone caring about the project there would be at least some volume on idex, but right now it's just one person trading back and forth to try and manipulate the price. At least the holders are not selling, but that's why the price will dump once the freeloaders get their tokens

Can you provide some clear cut examples of the kind of trades we can make using automated trading from the Tay platform? We would need say an ERC20 wallet and some ETH to invest and then Taylor will alert us to potential arbitrage opportunities with different risk levels? Then we agree and give it access to a certain amount of ETH which Taylor will then use to make automated trades, ideally with a quick turnaround and small profit followed by redepositing the same amount plus profits into our wallet some (hopefully) short time later? Is that the basic idea?

Initially the beta will only support the scalping strategy, but we are developing other strategies for the V1 version! Arbitrage is being considered but there are other priorities :)

Serious investors can see the hard work the team is putting in and the focus on the beta. What most people in here who probably own less than 100 tay each yet believe you owe them something, is that the beta IS the marketing if successful. Keep up the good work guys. It's not possible. Once a smart contract is deployed, it's immutable. The only way for the remaining tokens is to be burned. We all knew about this rule and we are all ok with that :)

First things first. Why would we do anything to TAY value from going up???
We still have lots of things to do, such as the token burn which will do away with +2 million tokens, then progressively listing on bigger and bigger exchanges, launching of Taylor Academy, etc.

I’m with you there. I would never pay $60 a month for trading bot. I paid $250 for the training bot profit trailer and that was a one time charge. On days when the market is flat I can make about 5% a day with that thing. TBH I’m starting to get really disappointed in this project. And when I invested earlier I thought they were much further along and had these details worked out.That’s on me for not doing enough due diligence but I’m still disappointed nonetheless

If it’s more expensive to buy 3000 Tay than it is to just pay for the service fiat or btc, I would imagine that’s what they will do, I don’t think he two are dependent on each other and certainly won’t stop the value in the coin from growing, 3 dollars that’s around a 10mill market cap, if this project succeeds like I hope it does and goes on the exchangers it’s supporting that would be a very low market cap

Holding 3000TAY means you get premium features for free. Believe he's coming from the POV of new people buying 3000TAY to access those features.

I would like a more serious and specific statement. How were the funds stolen?.... it is true that you keep all that money in a web wallet?... i don’t want to jump to conclusions but if this is the case the situation it’s far more complicated that a simple “someone hacked us, we lost everything, support us”. Keeping your funds out of non secure wallets it’s a very very very basic task for anyone in crypto trading. Someone could argue that you have to be almost complicit to not doing so with this kind of funds. In the other hand we have just plain and simple incompetence. You don’t want either from the team that is offering you and App like the one you are planning. I think you should act promptly or your support could  collapse very soon, even from the community.

We're going to need some sort of explenation as to how you intend to continue to operate the business and further development. Not just some sappy "We're armed with a strong community!" crap. You'd get shredded alive in a real conference call with "real" shareholders.

I'm not going anywhere... I invested in TAY because I like the idea and I believe in the project. Not selling, not dumping. Just waiting and being ready to support.

Hello! Project Tokens can be purchased only for btc and ETH or for fiat, too, is possible?

One thing I didn't understand was that, according to the last update, selling the 2 million unsold coins would not change the token economics. I beg to differ. More tokens in circulation directly affects token price. I was actually quite happy not all coins were sold during ICO, because less tokens usually means higher price per token. Of course I want what's best for the project, but I just didn't get the assertion that selling the unsold tokens wouldn't change the economics.

It obviously changes the economics of it but not by a great deal. Compared to the alternative, do we really have a choice?
The fact of the matter is if we don't sell those 2 million tokens our tokens are worth squat.

it's true that not releasing anything about the product beside a 30s video is very small when you ask for another private sale. Coming from the outside looks like you got one part of ether out and now asking for another go before vanishing.... I’m impressed with the chosen path, if anything I’d have said sell the remaining tokens higher than the original ICO discount price but I guess with the drama surrounding it the price couldn’t be too high. Very unfortunate hack, I wonder though how the team can still accomplish their goals with only a fraction of the budget of what was raised in the ICO. If it possible with some additional funding, it raises the question why more money was needed in the first place in the ICO, imo. Even though the cap was not that high.

We'll be able to accomplish our goals with a fraction of the money, the problem is that it'll take considerably longer and we won't be able to grow that fast and develop the new products we believed could extend our mission to make the crypto universe accessible for everyone.
Also a reasonable % of the funds raised would be used to acquire users faster and also get TAY listed on big exchanges. However, we're finding the means to achieve those in spite of this mishappening.

Yeah but devs release products and fix the bugs along the way and don't delay releasing in fear of bugs. This team was not honest enough and kept saying we are fixing final bugs from January while their real issue is the bittrex account approval! I'm not happy with this attitude. If they were careless with funds like this, imagine what would they do with a software that involves sensitive info. So, I just hope to get even any part of my investment. I will not tell my position size in taylor (not big), but I concider it lost for now. When it gets going one day, it will be like finding money you’ve stashed and forgot about. I meant beta version of the app in q1, sry for that. I REALLY DO WANT THIS PROJECT TO SUCCEED, but I have my doubts since day one and I haven’t been proven wrong (or right) about them.

I understand the differences between them and I know how to manage my crypto in cold wallets. But how the market will perceive the product and its history is what matters the most now. Focus to manage this crisis and ship this product asap is paramount to honor the trust and funds of thousand of investors deposited on you guys.

You guys will need to work hard anyway to recover this project from this mess and try to convince the future users to give Taylor access to their api keys after a massive security breach which make you lose all funds from all investors. You created this problem and now you need to solve it in the smartest way possible and should consider any existent strategy (rebranding and change name could be one of them) to make people believe in this team and product again.

whatever the outcome of this it's a good lesson on future investments I've put a stop in ICO now there is no point everything is below or near enough not to bother with them

Yeah not so similar after all. I used 0.25BTC and chose BTC/ADA. It placed 25 buy orders ranging from 690 to 1750 sats. ADA currently at 1850 sats. It might take a while for buy orders to fill and then sell. More of a long term strategy.. Pass. Will leave the 0.25BTC there and see what happens though. Me too, Fabio. It very hard for BTC recover 20.000 usd. If whales have profit from BTC, they have pumb BTC higher, 40.000 , 60.000 USD,... Maybe need more time and have special.
