It will recover very soon. This is not the first time bitcoins have behaved that way. I have seen this happens several times that before a major price change, bitcoins will dip down before it take off. Let hope by the end of january we can see some wonders.

Just look at the monthly charts for bitcoin. On worst case scenario bitcoin has a bad month, normally when fud arrives and generates panic selling, and then the dust settles and bitcoin comes back stronger than ever. Bitcoin is not dead, and I don't think it will ever die. On worst case scenario I would say it will start recovering in the next week, and it will be testing new highs during the next month. Bitcoin took a few hits this month, with ETFs being uncertain again, regulation is getting heavy again, fees got incredibly high due to network congestion, and a few more things. The thing is, that FUD regarding regulation will slowly vanish as things get done, and LN should arrive this year, so network congestion will be solved, so I'm pretty confidant that BTC wll recover as usual.

I think it will recover maybe this february because people are still recovering there expenses from last year christmas and new year. They dont still have money to invest in bitcoin but for sure they will be back at february to invest again and they are still observing the price of bitcoin now.

The price fall is caused by the news that China and Korea have announced a total ban of crypto exchanges, in order to stop the money laundering and other criminal activities. This news and the Chinese new year is the reason why the price decreased. People are afraid to lose their money and with the coming Chinese new year people are also  cashing out to buy presents and stuff for their return home for the holidays. The low price will attract the mainstream and the price will go up again, starting from next week.

Considering that the latest news about Korea and China is BS, it will likely bounce back within the week. For the time being, it looks like the panic sell will continue beyond $9,000...

It's normal for bitcoin to get dumped because before the year ended, bitcoin price got really high, so I guess people are starting to withdraw some or maybe all of their money to gain income from the last price surge. I really think that bitcoin price will recover soon, because most likely huge investors would be buying bitcoin during the deep.

This most likely will be a quick recover, maybe by Sunday.  Bitcoin has died at least 20 times and it is not dead this time either.  There is strong support at 9k and should recover to new highs after that.  Just hodl and buy.

I think it will recover because digitalization is going on and more and more assets will be virtual in the future instead of like "being in the real world". But I think there will be more coins in the future so Bitcoin should not only be your priority. More types of coins will be distributed and Bitcoin's power and influence as a cryptocurrency will lessen as it is very expensive to acquire these days.

If you take a look at the historical BTC/USD charts you will see that January was always a bumpy month in the last few years. Price used to start increasing around mid/late February, but sometimes in only in March.

The price will increase pretty soon. It is the correction time. And the Bitcoin has corrected a lot by now. There could be a dip upto 8k but it will rise back strong again and reach new All time highs. Wait for it, don't panic sell. Look at charts, these kind of dips are normal in cryptocurrencies since it is not yet a mature market.

Am new at cryptos, but having studied the trend over the years, bitcoin will recover and even rise higher its a cycle that has been repeating itself since bitcoin came into existence, I call it the rise, fall and more rise cycle.

That was the Gox pump and price dropped badly when Gox went out of business with half of all the BTC on the market.

I believe that the price will recover, as seen on the graph, it really falls at this time of the year. Also, bitcoin has been more popular ever since, there are so much more adopters now. I dont believe historical months matters much here because we dont have a 10-50 year history of bitcoin. Bitcoin has been around for a decade but it was mostly in play only in 2017.

I have speculated that bitcoin will start to rise again after new year but my speculation is way too far from what i have witnessed now. It totally depends upon the majority of user, Because the value of bitcoins directly affects when there are plenty of investors invest on it and a small amount of supply in the market. I don't really know if this can recover in a month because almost 50% of its amount drops. But maybe 3 or 4 months perhaps..

I admit that we've got pretty heavy selling volume for the past days, and the best way to keep safe is sell and wait for traders, or hold and keep buying gradually for long term investors.

If the value goes down there's no need to be alarmed of because for traders it is the good opportunity to invest in bitcoin. While the value is low you can buy BTC in a cheap price and when the time comes up that bitcoin recovered then sell them on much higher price.

I still wanted to stay on a positive side and still trust that bitcoin will recover. My earnings are still on my wallet, I'm waiting for it to recover so I can gain higher profit. According to the opinion of my prediction price bitcoin year 2018 will recover on two Sunday.

My own prediction is if bitcoin price will continue to go below 7,000 usd level it will go sideway trend and can last untill September,
It will then recover by braking sideway trend by October and continue going up hopefully braking 19,300 usd level,

This is a very strong dip that's killing off everyone's portfolios left and right.
The best way to handle this now is to stay calm and buy cryptos that have a high chance of surviving this wild dip. The market is at around $400 billion but it will definitely get back in shape soon.

Every currency drops its value then recovers , same thing with bitcoin. Maybe bitcoin is in its drop but you could not say that bitcoin will never recover, dont forget that it happens a year ago but suddenly bitcoin recovers.

To be honest, i really am not that worried about the prices. In fact i am happy that this happened. It's true that recovery will takes time, after all the issues subsided, then the economic principle will return as before, currently demand is low while supply Bitcoin in market over, makes price fall to deep. Nature selection will show it again that people tend to prefer to invest in crypto rather than forex as well as saving in banks, sooner or later all of them will come back to buy again for profit and avoid taxes.

Just remember that when MtGOX went down it took about a year to recover. BUT there was very little competition and infrastructure. A drop like this was very much needed, but we'll see new record highs within 6 months if you ask me. Bitcoin is resilient and always has been. The bitcoin price is not fixed. It means that it flunctuates from time to time. It can rise and drop anytime . These days we can see that the price of the bitcoin decrease but it doesnt mean that it will not rise again. For me , bitcoins price is unpredictable so lets just go with the flow.

Was kinda like the perfect storm.  A large spike upwards in the past month above normal trend + Chinese New Year slump (which happens every year) + Bitcoin futures market taking advantage of Chinese New Year setting date on 16/17th of this month + FUD news stories.

For the last 3 years, Bitcoin's daily RSI dipped below 30 only 5 times and always bounced hard. Currently the daily RSI is just touching 30 which means the bounce will be soon. So dont be worry and still HODL!
