It depends on who you are. I think people who do not know basic analysis and technical analysis should learn them first. My personal idea is very difficult in everyday trade in cryptos. For this reason I prefer long-term investment by doing a good research.

IF you are good and have time to devote to it, short term is great and offer so much more return.

If you don't have time, long term is better since you only need to do initial research then let it grow.

Many are in between (mix) and get long term coins ... but buy/sell when conditions are favorable.

simple, just buy what crypto did you believe have a lot of potential to grow in long term

If cryptocurrency slowly falling down I just keep hold and buy more cheap cryptos if I have extra money in my wallet, and I choose long term investment because I want to earn more money but choose the potential cryptos that you want to invest some crypto are never increase.

long term or short term will be a good choice, but it should be adjusted to the type of coin you have. if the coins you have are high potential for high rise then you should choose long term.

Long term investment has been seen always as the best option because bitcoin has almost no human factor (team, etc) but for tokens long term investment will not always work.

For most people long-term investment is better , this way you can easily handle a bear market. Short term potentially can bring in more money , but is requires more knowledge and work and even then you can fail. So for the average investor long term is the way to go.

I think 0.5-3 years is a mid-term investment in the stock market and a long-term investment in the crypto market.

Long term because it is the easier of the two options for the average investor. If you are shrewd in your investing then short term is the way to go. However, this does not apply to most individuals and that is why I am a big  proponent of long term investing.

Long term. Buy in on new projects. Get into air drops as well. I always buy in when market cap is below 10 million at least. Thats is why I have made 20-100x my investments. Buy low and sit. Stay away from the top 10. There is little to no money to be made unless you invest a ton of money.

If your planning to buy Bitcoin and other known token then long investment is appropriate for you, specially when you want to hold it for more than a year.

i think it will be much better to keep investing for long term, you see, the market price is very unstabke so it can rise very high and brings us huge profit in one day but we can loose all profit in many days, so it wont be easy for anyone waiting for a short term profit, it would be better if you choose a long term investment, holding and waiting is the key of success, the market will rise very slow but drop very fast, so don't be too much greedy, sell when the price high enough.

I am not a beginner, so I do not panic with an unstable market and broken market conditions. I always hold crypto until the correction ends. because I'm sure the market will start to normal again in May.

Set your goals in long term, its too risky for newbies to go short because of high volatility in this market. For now, while you are under the learning process just hold on your coins and if you think trading is easy for you now, then do it.

I personally prefer long term investments, because there is a very small degree of maintenance going into your portfolio. There are some coins worth holding for long term and pothers that are for short term.Obviously a coin with a long road map is definitely for a long term investment because the value of the coin will depend on the final product but for coins with short roadmaps,obviously they are for term investment.Also there are some coins that are outright pumps and dumps which you should keep an eye on in order not to miss out on the dump and become a bagholder.

In my own opinion, you should choose short term investment in bitcoin. Because of many reasons:

In my opinion there is no doubt : long term. Do your own research, read, ask questions, pick coins that you truly believe in, where the community is solid, the devs are serious. Once you do that you just need not to panic, hold and enjoy  your profit. Sometimes there are also good short term trades but for me only long term can make you rich.

Short term investment needs more focus and time unlike long term investment, you can relax and stay calm all the time.

Actually I prefer long-term investment because profit is usually earned greater. But it all depends on your needs and how much capital you have. Think of investments like saving in a bank but you can benefit from it.

It really depends on where you want to gain more profits with and you have to know about the technical analysis and read graphs of the coin you have invested in. But if you are still a newbie and barrly know anything about the cryptocurrencies and trading then I think it would best for you to invest for long term until such time you are capable or have the confidence to do short term trading.

before investing in the coin , you'd better  study it for a while .if you believe it , suggest that you invest it for a long time and observe its price trend from time to time . this will be easy . i do not recommend that you invest in short-term , it requires professional trading skills and long-term knowledge reserves .

So far in my own experience in trading, i preferred to choose the long term investment but you have to watch it or you might wanna miss your chances of selling it. You can't just say what is better. It depends. But I'm rather in for the long term.

I'll sell my investment, although the price will comeback but it need a long time, so I will sell and if the price contiune to increase like bull market I will buy my investment with quickly. Hodl. Its obvious that if you sell you will lose your money therefore its better to wait and refrain yourself to frequently monitor the price so it wont stress you and to avoid panic selling.

This depend on your strategies and the coin you're going to hodl. Buying in times of dips are the right timing to start investing, dont ever buy when the price is at the peak price that's the usual mistake of newbies.

Long term, I prefer to set a target price on when to sell my coins, however I dont forget to take profit at times when needed. I believe long term hodling is profitable compared to short term but some investors find it otherwise. In general,  the profit will be very acceptable in a  long term, especially for some crytpocurrencies who have a  weak price and a huge value of Market cap ( for example, Ripple (XRP) , Cardano (ADA) ..).  And even for those currencies who have a huge value of price, market cap ( Like, Bitcoin , Ethereum..). And I do not advise  you to invest in the short term.

Some coins are good for long term and some are just pumping and dumping in short term. Basically it will depend on your analysis, but if you want a hassle free investment go but great coins and hold on it in long term higher profit will come to you for sure.

I think the problem is not longterm or shortterm but it's which coin you're going to invest in. If it's good coin in top 10 on coinmarketcap, I think it's good choice for longterm investment but if it's not, you just should invest for shortterm and cash out as long as you earned.

For me if I can do both there should be no question.  Both can be profitable but it will depend on what coin are you going to hold,  whether it is for short term or long term.  Bitcoin is the best choice for long term investment as well as Ethereum.  Both of these coins have survive biggest dumps and have proven that volatility is very playful but many people are still trusting these coins.  When it comes to short term investment,  it is hard to track which coin is in trend,  besides many coins are available but we don't know which one have the potential for big profit.

Tron and EOS make sense for short term until mainnet comes out. ETH and Cardano can be taken for longer term.

until now, my first priority before trying to earn money is from short term first then holding for long term later, i believe earning cryptos by trading can be more profitable and faster than just waiting for long time, but of course, sometimes i lost and have to start over again, trading is risky because we can not know exactly when will the market fluctuate. i ready to take the risk to get more experiences and get more profit in the future.

For me, it's a long-term. I bought CAT tokens by BitClave and waiting for the moon. I have no idea how people stand seeing the price chart every day. It would drive me crazy.   ::) :o

Actually, it depends on your daily activities, whether you are a busy man, then long term investment/trading is suitable for you,
but if you don't have the busyness in your life everyday then I suggest to do short term investment/trading.

HOLD as much as possible, because a market like this will only happen temporarily, will not be long. Like what happened to crypto in the previous year, the value of btc and followed by almost all altcoin that correction like this should be utilized as possible.

I always try to compare the crypto currency market to that of the stock market. I have already realized that hodl strategy does not work, you can only lose it, not earn, because a strong pump is very rare and you can not hope for it. In any case, you should manage your capital, and not hope that everything will happen by itself and the money will earn themselves.

If one is able to get intoa good project, long term reward far outways short term.
