Nice one , as i see in youtube video its a bit laggy . Can somebody explain me please how you can you make profit buying planets ? Just buy rare one and sell to somebody ? Or it makes some daily profit ? Atleast looks better than cryptokitties or any other game i know on ETH blockchain

Firstly I want to explain you about planets. As you saw there was presale where you could buy planets with 75% discount. On June 13 it will be second stage of presale with 50% of discount, there will be available 111 planets. 100 Rare planets, 10 Epic planets and 1 Legendary. Last stage of presale will be on June 19 - 25% of discount. When game comes out all planets will get their default price. Common planets - 0.05 ETH, Rare planets - 0.5 ETH, Epic planets - 5 ETH and Legendary planets - 25 ETH. (Prices could go higher if there will be high demand for certain planets)

In the beginning you will be able to build spaceships and send them to find new planets, but don't forget that space is full of unknown dangers so not all your spaceships will be able to land on planets successfully  ;), but if you will find new planet it's up to you what to do with it: sell for profit or keep it for resources for future spaceship building and etc.

P.S. Lag which you saw in youtube video is because of PC performance. You can try it on better PC and will see that everything is working smoothly without any lag  ;)

After this Spring’s beta test that saw over 100 participants, we were all ready to release the game by early June. However we received a lot of requests from players asking us to hold a presale campaign.

During the presale, a total of 333 planets were auctioned, with 111 planets available to buy in each of the stages. So there were 100 rares, 10 epics and 1 legendary.

The first presale phase, with a valid discount of 75%, lasted from June 7 to 13. It was a wild success: all the planets sold out in just two days! Most of them didn’t even have two minutes to “have the dust settle on them”.

The second stage was not too far behind. It took place from June 13 to 19 and offered a discount of 50%. All the planets went under the hammer.

The third part of the campaign happened against a backdrop of a certain decrease in demand. We put it down to a small discount of only 25% (compared to those in the earlier stages). The third round started on June 19 and ended on June 25.

On the whole, the results of our presale are definitely positive. Out of the 333 planets auctioned, with their estimated total price being 190 Ether, 223 were bought, i.e. 67% of the total number. The biggest purchase had a price tag of over $8000!

When our presale was nearing its end, our game appeared on DappRadar, the most popular list of decentralized applications. And we are excited that, out of all the dapps, our 0xUniverse is in 6th place by weekly transaction volume.

0xUniverse is a place where you can be a space explorer colonizing planets in a 3D-rendered galaxy. Every planet you see is a unique digital asset. There are four planet value types: common, rare, epic and legendary. You can build your own spacecrafts, conquer planets and interact with ancient alien races to expand your space fleet and territories as well as uncover 0xUniverse’s secrets.

We’ve been working on the game since our team came together in late 2017 in the wake of CryptoKitties’s success. And so we saw the good prospects the blockchain gaming market held and started work on 0xUniverse: from designing smart contracts and planets to weaving an engaging plot for the game.

Our team did a beta test on the Rinkeby testnet this Spring that spiked the interest of many users. We were ready for release by early June but it was postponed until June 29 because our devoted fans requested a planet presale. We agreed and launched a 3-stage campaign that ended on June 25.

All in all, players took home 223 (67%) of the 333 auctioned planets available during the presale. Their estimated total value was around 190 Ether. The largest purchase cost its owner over $8000.

We, here at 0xGames, will soon begin working on a mobile version, as we already mentioned in our roadmap. We also plan to release a new game, set in the world of 0xUniverse, later this year. You can also expect new features such as companies and planet leasing in the game later on.

Anyway, the United Earth Government decided to gift JULURTH to the most active discoverer. Which blockchain would be be running on? If Eth, it would be super slow and jam up, like what happen when cryptokitties jam up the network for just a few jams.

We use Ethereum. Yes, this approach has both disadvantages and advantages

So, the Ethereum network has come back to normal state and we can continue exploring the galaxy!

But first we want to clarify the technical points for those who still have not enough experience in working with the Ethereum.

Most likely, many of you now have several transactions that were sent through MataMask, but not processed by the blockchain. It is necessary to make sure that each of those transactions has been processed.

1) Find the last processed transaction on your wallet

2) Open it and remember the Nonce - the number of transactions sent from your wallet (in our example it's 31)

3) Open your MetaMask and view the list of transactions that are there
3.A) If you do not have any transactions with a number higher than the last processed (in our example higher than 31) - it means everything is OK
3.B) If you have pending transactions with a number higher than the last processed (in our example 32, 33, 34, etc.), you must first make sure that these transactions become processed sequentially. Find the next pending transaction after the successful one (in our example 32) and send it again by clicking on the link under it "Retry with a higher gas price here". After clicking you will have a new transaction in the list with the same number (in our example 32). You must set the currently recommended gas price (find it on https://ethgasstation.info/) and send the transaction again for processing. Wait until it is processed. Then repeat these steps with each subsequent pending transaction until you have no pending transactions.
4) That's it, now you can safely submit new transactions

Our Telegram channel hit 100 subscribers today! Which is great, and we did gift a planet to our 100th follower on Telegram. He was astounded, which led us to believe that Discord - being a few space-wolves short of a hundred (92 right now) - should keep up with Telegram.

TIMELINE

You know that our development of the mobile version is at full speed. Right now we can boast an early version! The game is perfectly functional on iOS, as you can see in the video below. I haven't tried oxuniverse yet, but watching it getting regular updates and a lot of press lately, I am definitely having a FOMO!! I liked the graphics, but gameplay is very limited. Probably that's why I am waiting. So basically the idea is to collect as many plants as possible, right? Is there any concept of PVE or PVP in game? What can we do with planets after colonizing them (other than selling them of course)?

So glad to finally announce Update 1.9!

We apologize for keeping our community waiting: our team had to completely overhaul the game’s architecture so that we could support our mobile version. The mob version is still in development, but we will release it quite soon.

So, what’s new:

1) Planet leasing feature added! The way it works is as follows: a planet’s owner sets the price that he’s willing to sell his planet’s colonists for. For instance, the owner sets 0.02 ETH as the price for 100 colonists. After that, other space explorers will be able to launch spaceships from this planet by paying to the owner for the colonists provided. Say, you need a 250 strong crew for your ship. That means you should pay 0.05 ETH (250 / 100 * 0.02) for the owner’s colonists. The owner then gets the entire amount minus a 5% tax imposed by the United Earth Government. That would be 0.0475 ETH (0.05 * 95%).


2) Planet naming is here! You can now give your planets any name you want after paying United Earth 0.01 ETH for that operation. There are but a few restrictions:
a) The name should be shorter than 12 characters
b) You can’t change legendary planets’ names
c) You can’t use offensive language and create duplicate names of legendary planets
The United Earth Government is carefully keeping an eye out for any violation of these rules, and should any such violation occur, the Government will conceal inappropriate names from other explorers (the name will still remain on the blockchain).

3) You are now able to sort planets by population.

4) Our Discord now has two subchannels where players will see messages about successful ‘buy and sell deals’ as well as about new planets found >> #deals  #discoveries

5) The planets list now displays the number of resources planets have accumulated

6) Main menu design updated

- Corps can have a name that can be changed by the Head (there are Heads and there are Shareholders, we'll get to this*)
- Corps can have its own account with cryptocurrency (for its Head, aka Managing Director, to actually be able to manage it)
- Corps have shares and shareholders and the above-mentioned Head (he's not necessarily the owner though)
- Corps can own planets, resource pools and knowledge (more about it at the end)
- Corps will be able to control sectors for more profit (this will come with the Wars update)
- Corps will have access to a new type of planets that will also have to do with more ways of increasing its value (to be added in the Wars update as well)

II.

- At first, when the update is live, there will be 3 corporations added to a new Shares Auction and they will be owned by United Earth Government initially. More corporations can be added if demand should be high for them (one new corp per month - so as not to decrease their value; although the team will listen to any post-release feedback :wink: )

- Each corp can have 10000 shares (100%). 1 share is 0.01%. All 3 corps will be put up for sale (a presale will be run): there will be 3 auction lots (100% of the shares) to be purchased by players who would want to develop their own space businesses that will grow in value over time. The price tag is unknown right now but it will not be cheap because it is not a single planet but an entire entity that can have lots of planets and have passive/active income possibilities

- Players can become shareholders in the corps. That means that space explorers (or businessmen now?) will be able to buy corp shares at the shares market when new share lots are put up for sale by the first owners

- A player can become Head of the Corp. Head is not necessarily the owner as he can be appointed by a vote (it can be started by shareholders who own more than 5% of the corp's shares). Head can manage the corp: that is to manage the corp’s account (with ETH) to 1) buy planets, 2) sell planets, 3) initiate dividend payouts, also he can 4) change the name of the corp, 5) initiate wars (will be in the Wars update), 6) use new planets with special functions (a secret feature to be added later on)

- Head can be replaced if he manages his corp poorly, just like in real life, investors (shareholders) get to decide (a vote is started by those with more than 5% and of the vote is approved by the owners of more than 50% - Head is replaced)

- Dividends. That is a way for shareholders to earn. Head initiates the payouts and decides on the size of these dividends (again, if shareholders don’t like the way Head manages, including the dividend matter, they can start a vote to replace him). The dividends are taken from the corp’s account and are distributed among its shareholders. The rule is: any shareholder gets his dividends depending on how many shares he has in that corp (more shares=bigger payouts, fair distribution). And now a bit more detailed about the source of dividends: the corp has its own account. So any shareholder 1) can sell their shares (the first owners will want to profit from selling and thus auction some of their shares) at the auction and put a portion of the ETH they got from selling into the corp’s account, or 2) can just send ETH there, or 3) the corp can get ETH from planet trade (which is managed by Head, so he’d better be a good manager or else...karma). OH, AN IMPORTANT THING: Head can’t withdraw ETH from the corp’s account to his own account, only initiate a payout that will distribute all eth (available for the div payout) to all shareholders proportionally

III.

Finally, the last part for now. A corp’s value should grow over time. Here’s why: as mentioned before, it has its own planets; it also has its own resource pool from all planets it owns; it will have its own knowledge pool (this will be needed in the Wars update to wage wars with strategic space fleets); it will have access to a special new planet type with special functions (=more profit possibilities); and it will control sectors and take fees from all the dealings in any sector it controls (the control feature, again, as I mentioned above, will come with the Wars).
Some things may change somewhat because the team will be looking at how things go when the update is released (some bugs may occur, some balance tuning may be needed, etc ...). So any feedback will be welcome, guys, including your requests for any features / corp balance / price and so on.

P.S. Several 0xUniverse bugs will be finally fixed after the release of this update!

- Building & launching ships now requires less gas (this issue has been a big one and has affected those who have a lot of planets and can’t launch because of the high gas limit). Took a while to overhaul;
- Blur-related issue has been fixed: it has caused freezes/crashes/”white death screens”;
- Option to limit FPS has been added (in the settings). Decreasing FPS should lower the CPU/GPU load and optimize performance;
- Number of rentable planets displayed (in the planets screen before launch) has been increased to 20;
- Sign-in process has been improved: no need to enter nickname & email;
- Rent price display issue has been fixed;
- Resource number alignment has been tweaked in the profile screen;
- Animation glitch (when trying to replay it from Transactions) has been fixed;
- More than 10 additional fixes and other improvements have been implemented including minor tutorial improvement, push notifications, balance display, crashes with unknown reasons upon transaction initiations, etc...

There are issues yet to be fixed. For example, it has turned out to be extremely difficult to fix the ‘ship 16 invention’ issue so far, but it is still being fought against. The out of memory issue also will be dealt with later on. Some fixes will be added in the next update and the ones to follow.

The next 0xUni update may see a light gameplay mode added (a toggle for those who want less lagging&more market analyzing), as requested by the community. Also there should be improvements for those who experience ‘insufficient memory’ issues. On top of that, other fixes will be introduced as usual (including the price typing issue, but I believe I already mentioned that one before).
To keep you updated on the corps:  they are having their shares allocation and gifting feature ironed out as these have been major stumbling blocks recently.

Thanks a lot for this, I see in the stats that active users have been generally increasing more or less over the months, but planet & similar token prices are steadily dropping

on the in-game market, do you have any plans to counteract this ? Because I believe the original assumption was that the in-game assets would increase in price as more and

more players engage with the game; however just the opposite seems to be happening...

Soon it will be new updates, in my opinion it will help increase things in game's economy...

- ‘Hypermarket’ has been introduced. It allows players to get planet bundles for USD via PayPal/CardPay in the web version and Apple Pay/Google Pay on mobile devices. Please note that the Hypermarket won’t be competing against the current game Auction as the prices there are higher. It has been implemented to allow new players, who aren’t familiar with blockchain and don’t have crypto, to start playing the game. The team considers the introduction of USD payments to be a vital step towards significantly growing the total player base. Please mind, there is a 10k limit for the FIAT planets. Afterwards, the UEG will be buying planets from the Auction to sell to the new fiat players.
- Web client optimization: it should now load much faster!
- The in-game notifications system now offers a convenient way of monitoring the status of several transactions at the same time.
- Arkane registration doesn’t require new players to manually type in their email and nickname.
- CryptoKitties and BlockchainCuties integration. Yes. You can now see your cuties and kitties enjoying their furry lives on your 0xUniverse planets.

- The issue with the ETH volatility affecting the game may have 2 solutions: (a) most complex calculations for certain gas-demanding functions will happen on the game server with the final result on the blockchain and (b) talking to and examining new blockchains for potential integration beyond our known galaxy. With that said, LOOM and WAX are not yet being considered but Matik might be though. EOS is very difficult to figure out for new players and for now is out of the question for 0xUni. Steem will be examined

- Planets will get an icon to show when they are full on resources

- Future partnerships will include NEO for 0xR and 0xW, possibly for 0xU. Also Axies may get added the same way as Cuties

- As Sergey mentioned before, 0xBattleships is going to be restarted and have its concepts redesigned with the team looking for a new investor for it

- On buildings in general: players will be able to build factories on planets which will produce a resource important for the construction of a combat fleet. There will be several types of buildings (factories, decorations, etc.). Planets will be sold along with buildings. Buildings for fleet construction will take more time to be implemented. The idea about a building for a different game (CK house) could be introduced. Only corporations will be able to have combat fleets. That special resource will be sold separately from the planets. Purple resources will be useful for the construction of buildings. Buildings are expected to come this year

- 0xR and 0xW still got their CryptoGamingPool giveaways going whereas the 0xUniverse one successfully ended a few days ago and the prizes were handed out already;
- There came requests for Axies to get their own space home planets, so as was mentioned before, they could appear in the future to get more players engaged from the Axie community;
- Dapp.com will soon be getting ready for a new event and 0xUniverse may participate (stay tuned);
- Another interview with a new crypto media is looming so we hope to share something new soon.

Given the current ETH network load with its high gas prices and, subsequently, the ensuing unplayability of 0xUniverse, the team decided to push through the optimization update that Sergey mentioned during the past Q&A. The estimated timeline is about 1-2 weeks (actually it could come before I go on vacation, which is next week, or right after I return - in early October).

So what will it bring along?

As some of you may know, the inventions were previously partly moved to the game server to make it possible to invent ship 16, 17, etc. it helped many players but still occasionally requires much gas. So:

- firstly, we’ll see inventions getting moved to the game server completely to resolve the high consumption issue there;

- secondly, as was discussed already, the launching function (or simply ship launches) will be partly moved to the game server as well. That is too expected to alleviate the gas consumption problems. Mind you, guys, the calculation algorithms will still be on the blockchain;

- thirdly, due to the coming changes to the inventions&launches, the auction cancellation algorithm will change a bit too becoming more transparent and more similar to the way auctions work in 0xR and 0xW. What it means is that planets being auctioned will, after the update, remain on sale with their final price displayed until they are either bought or taken off manually. Again, this will happen due to the coming changes to launches which - the way they currently work - take planets off the auction along with the transactions.

Moreover, another piece of news that many may welcome. The team has decided to make the token smart contract public. I can’t say for sure as to when but it will be open-sourced for more transparency and to satisfy long-standing community requests. So stay tuned to learn more about that!
And one more thing. As was stated during the Q&A, the team is considering other chains as part of the solution to scalability and gas consumption as well as to pave the way for the next big updates, especially the ‘expansion beyond into newer galaxies’ one (which has been in the public roadmap for quite a while). Right now Matic is one of the side-chains that we are having negotiations with. NEO could come as well, however the team would like to run a poll about which other chains our community considers the best candidates for future integrations. P.S. The buildings update should be the next one after this midterm optimization update comes along.

Changelog:

- Storing the actual state of planets' resources as well as spaceships' blueprints is now being done on the game server, as we mentioned before. That means:

1) You don't have to make transactions to invent ships
2) The blockchain transactions of launching ships and finding new planets require less GAS
3) Calculation of knowledge and resources is now more accurate
4) Our public API now shows the actual state of planet resources
5) The most important thing here: this update allows the team to implement buildings, battles, using black holes etc (the old architecture did not allow this)

- Also. The auction auto-cancellation function has been removed as it caused inconvenience and misunderstanding for many players. From now on the way it works is: you can now buy a planet after its auction has expired - the way 0xWarriors and 0xRacers work, and the cancellation will have to be done manually (this had to be done also because of the resource function changes).

1) The planet screen now displays icons showing whether a planet is available for rent. Also you will see whether a planet is full on resources

I am unsure why I did not here about this. Last year there was this other game called galaxy and also with planets but you harvest from them with robot miners.

I like the music in the game and the graphics for the planets and the doge doggie. There is no real guide though so I had to go and find one. Shopping in the app takes too long and is too slow to scroll down so I used https://opensea.io/category/0xuniverse which you should add a link to in the post.

1. Keep in mind that main market is on 0xUniverse official website. You can't list your planets on Opensea and on 0xUniverse auction at the same time. So better check both markets.

- The current price of 0.05 ETH / 0XE: it's the result of very complex calculations and analysis

- Destroying a factory: while this is not possible now the team might consider adding it

- Hyper Market: 1,500 planets are left out of 10,000. We are planning to buy planets from players then

- Legendaries left: in the current galaxy players haven't found new legendaries for a long time, so most likely they have all been found. But we're expecting to see

- New galaxies, separate game: no, the universe will be united, black holes will play the key role

How does the 0xE market work? Let’s have a look at this illustrative example:

- Say, you got player A who sells 10 units of 0xE for 0.1 Eth. And you have player B who sells 20 0xE units for 0.2 Eth. Now imagine you have player C who wants to buy 15 units of 0xE. What happens next?
The 0xE market will pick the best price for player C: that player C will buy from both player A and B - all within one transaction. So player C will buy 10 units from player A (as it is the lower price in this case) and 5 units from player B.
All in all, anyone can set whatever price they want. And when someone is willing to buy 0xE, they will be buying for the lowest price.

- To stop selling set 0 both as the amount and price

This "game" is really estonishing, its even not a game , if you play this good, this will you give nice income ...

3) Good news! United Earth will be providing the Hypermarket with planets soon. What that means:
Hypermarket will soon start selling existing players’ planets to new players. To be more precise: these planets will come from the United Earth account. UEG, in turn, will be buying planets from the existing players in advance (as was mentioned in a previous post).
Some may have seen that Earth “discovered” planets in the bot channel (Discord (https://discord.gg/R8fwEPC)) recently. To clear up possible confusion: that was the promo reserve (the one with the 10k limit for the Hypermarket) transferring (displayed as “discovered”) part of the remaining planets to Earth. You will see another such batch soon, be aware ;). All in all, there are fewer than 100 planets left in the 10k limit meant for Hypermarket. After that, the 2k planets from the Rebels shares event will be sold. But given the fact they are mainly commons+rares, Earth will start buying from the players much sooner, as was promised. Scientists of the Main Research Institute completed the study of the found artifact and, as a result, its unique property was discovered. The discovery was so overwhelming that a special committee was set up by the United Earth Government to continue investigation of the Artifacts.

The Artifact Committee will be engaged in their search, study and storage. In addition, a law "About Artifacts Sharing" was adopted. The government appeals to the fact that the power of the artifacts is so huge that they cannot stay in the same hands. As a result of fierce debate, a compromise was found. Formally, the ownership of the artifact will be retained by the person who found it. But regardless of ownership, any discoverer will be able to take the advantage of its unique properties by paying rent to its owner.

The ownership of the first artifact, which scientists have named Father Deep, will be transferred to the owner of the planet 43 in Novel on which it was found. All discoverers will be able to participate in the search for the new artifacts by energy staking.

The published information clarifies the future of the artifacts, but many questions remain. The United Earth Government declined to comment further and suggested waiting for details to be released through official sources.

How do I play this game? :)

Just bought my first planet on Novel, waiting for knowledge be collected.
It's rare and tottaly new, so it's with 0 resources on it.

I have several questions:

1. Do I receive resources for a planet only once a day? If yes what hour it happens and what time zone? If no, it means I get +1 resource some period of time?
2. What for I can use resources mined on the Planet?
3. Resources that I get daily from a planet are stored on a planet only? Or I can take it and hold it somewhere else?
4. I tried to build a factory on my planet and it asked for resources that I can not mine on that planet. How do I get that resources? Does it mean, that I will never be able to build a factory on that planet?
5. Why do we need a factory? If it worth to build it as fast as possible? If it worth to build it on Common \ Rare \ Epic planet?
6. If people are material used to launch rockets?
7. If it worth to find corporation (clan) as fast as possible? From what lvl of the game I can do so?
8. If it make sence to buy cheap common planets at the beggining? Or better buy just few but epic?
9. Should I better have plenty of planets or better to have small amount but quality ones?

Would be glad to have answer on those questions and any other recommendations for beginners like me!

Has the game resumed back again? i thought they had to close down due to some issues in Oxgames. And they had publicly apologized for the same.

they didnt close it down, due intern issue the devs didnt  funded and they stopped with developments , but Spig ( if you are old player then you know who i am talking about) he bought a blackhole to fund the devs again . and this way it never stopped....

atm there are 3 galaxys , 1 eth ( not playable due high gass of etj) and 2 on matic network..  they released the blueprints of battleships , so you can actually build and move those fleets...
about 2 weeks the wars will be released and it would be a game changer....

on rare and higher you can build factory to mint energy
on epic and higher planets you can build shipyards for building battleships

to get in is the novell galaxy cheapest , the planets are cheap and its on matic network
