Does BTC act like gold in the fiat market?  ???
I don’t understand why this currency is still mainly on the cryptomarket. If we take the top 2 ETH, then this token has a huge technological potential with its ICO, NFT, DEFI also has multiple cross-chains that expand the ETH ecosystem.
What keeps BTC so high? If we speak openly, then BTC has no role in itself, it's just a dummy compared to other technologies on the other crypto

If I'm not mistaken, Bitcoin is the first coin in cryptocurrency, friend.

So you are comparing ethereum as supercar tyres and bitcoin as a wheel made of rocks, I never said that bitcoin is expensive because its the first cryptocurrency but not many cryptos came after bitcoin doesn't bring any changes even if they have usability there is no complete decentralization on them even ethereum is having unlimited supply so how can you expect people to put their money on an asset which is having unlimited supply.

It's better for you to learn the history of crypto rather than called the king of crypto as a dummy coin lol. Ethereum is just a forking version from the bitcoin. It was generated by the bitcoin code. The bitcoin code itself already forked by so many uninnovative developers.

Eth is garbage high risk for 1 reason

Guys, I understood one thing for sure. Everyone will agree that Bitcoin has not decentralized for a long time and TODAY has no innovative technologies, and it is also worse than 99% of alcoins for payment. Because Bitcoin is great for storing your money’s value, it’s good 2.0. Bitcoin is the non risky investment alongside Ehtereum. The rest are more risky becuase they aren’t as well established. I think that Bitcoin and Ehtereum will always be king and queen but after that I think a lot will change. The projects that will win out and not compete with Bitcoin and ethereum but coexist are going to be projects that can have mass adoption. we know for ourselves that btc is the first coin and is the number one and largest coin in the world. so to shift its position is difficult. coupled with the events in 2017 that shocked people because the price of btc increased dramatically, this certainly attracted the interest of many people. although it is actually seen today that there are many other coins that perform better than btc, but the mindset of some people still makes btc the best coin.

Aside from being the number one crypto btc is also the most trusted of all crypto out there with the highest support from individuals and institutions as well, I don't think there is any other crypto that deserve that spot more than btc does, it has come a long way and should be at the top.

No cryptocurrency can ever compete with Bitcoin looking at it as the first ever crypto with numerous species of altcoins that are seen now in the market. Bitcoin is cryptocurrency on it own and I every other altcoins do dance towards it music. If you look at the major altcoins majority are shifting to POS and only time will tell how the government will view them and will they try to control them as majority runs with a few master nodes and it is easier for the government to control them unlike POW.

I think what keeps bitcoin at the top of the crypto market? because bitcoin is the first digital currency and also known to all consumers or everyone first, and gets more exposure from the media than any other cryptocurrency.
besides being widely known, the price of bitcoin is also constant and relatively high compared to other cryptocurrencies.

The only reason that I can think of is that Bitcoin was the very first coin that was created. That's it. I don't think that there would any other explanation for that. I mean there are other coins that were created after Bitcoin that could have competed for the top spot, but still BTC reigns supreme. Followed by Ethereum who is also a close competitor for BTC but also considered the King of the Altcoins. I think it is really about the way it was conceived as an alternative to the fiat currencies that also gave BTC the edge.

Agree with you though, most altcoins were created for the purpose of money-making while bitcoin was created to bring some changes in our money system. Many coins claim that they are the next bitcoin which is enough to prove that bitcoin is still the best coin out there but in the future, anything may change because change is the only thing that never changes.

As i see it it's because BTC is first and most popular crypto. A lot of people think Bitcoin and crypto is the same thing. My mother thought that there is only BTC until i told her that there are thousands of cryptos. And o don't think she's alone in this.

Bitcoin itself is what people knew first when they jump into crypto. And it is core of cryptocurrency when we can see almost all pair is started with BTC. I think with that 2, or maybe with bitcoin community which maybe created first and got a lot of users, and it means a lot of demands can cause it to be top 1 coin.

the first one to come always gives a special impression, moreover, the development is very good, the trend always rises in the first decade of bitcoin's birth. although many new altcoins emerge with better technology, strategies, and real fundamental functions that are really needed, all of them will still refer to bitcoin. If you do consider that bitcoin is the king of crypto or the first one then you wouldn't really have any doubts about it and don't question out because the community would surely or mainly support

and  if ETH is  really that good enough then it would really be on top 1 no doubt but the community would be the one will really be the main decider on  whose gonna be on top.

If you do really believe that its ETH then its your choice but you cant blame out the community decisions.

You are letting yourself to be impressed over nothing, ethereum has allowed all of those things to exist, are we better because of them? Of course not, millions of people have lost their money investing in all of those useless coins and projects.

Bitcoin is robust, you may think that being a currency is not very exciting but it is not supposed to be, bitcoin is supposed to become the cornerstone of this market and when an economic crisis comes there is nothing more valuable than something that can become a store of value, also even if ethereum is widely being used to speculate, who is actually buying anything with ethereum? Almost all of the transactions that include a real exchange of value use bitcoin and nothing else which gives bitcoin its massive value compared to any other coin that we have in the market.

But this is my take..Bitcoin is made first and it is simply to find more unique and more useful in the community which makes people give more interest in Bitcoin than the altcoins. And that other reason is that because of its price, that really growing and it was very enticing enough for the people to take some risk hoping that someday they earn more.

Because bitcoin is the first cryptocurrency that have been develop to introduce in the world of cryptocurrencies. Etherium and other altcoins existed because of bitcoin, simply without bitcoin there are no crypto now. A lot of people now change their life because of bitcoin which is most profitable than gold.

Security is the biggest advantage, IMO. Bitcoin may be the first "cryptocurrency" as per our definition. But there were attempts earlier. One of the first attempts was in 1998, when Wei Dai came up with his proposal for B-Money. Then there was Bit Gold from Nick Szabo. Perhaps the most important of the innovations of that time was Hashcash. But none of these innovations could garner widespread acceptance, like the way Bitcoin did. So I believe that the advantage with Bitcoin lies with it's security, and not with the fact that it was the "first".

Well, these ideas are forming from one to another and being built with those ideas that came first. But I do agree that with all of those ideas and development.

Other coins will never beat bitcoin at this time. It's been discussed for years that there might be some good coins that will rise but nothing ever happened and most of them are all not good coins.

because of the limited number and the demand is quite a lot resulting in the value of bitcoin always reaching the highest number, it can be seen from the market cap obtained by bitcoin so far no one has been able to approach it, let alone be able to get rid of it. so it's clear bitcoin as you also say, that bitcoin is not only crypto gold but has become a rare diamond.

Bitcoin is just a test before mainstream adoption comes. When utility kicks in, cryptos like XRP and NEAR will be major winners because of their real world utility.

In my opinion, considering BTC is the same as gold in the FIAT market.
What makes BTC high in my opinion is because Bitcoin is an anti-inflation cryptocurrency. Unlike the currency in the real world. That's in my view. Plus its influence on Altcoins in the crypto market.

IF what is meant by top 1 in the coinmarketcap ranking, because bitcoin has the largest market capital volume at this time $854,003,404,226 , maybe one day the number 1 position will be replaced if there is an alt coin that can exceed bitcoin's market capital. but it is very unlikely that other coins will flip bitcoin's number 1 position, because the current market movement is still following the bitcoin price movement, if bitcoin goes up almost all coins will go up and if the bitcoin price moves down then other coins will follow.

Some altcoins are ideas that have been created by sathosi, you can see ICO because projects need funds to develop projects, one thing I want to know from you, has Bitcoin developers ever done ICOs to develop Bitcoin's first Blockchain, I don't think so.
The price of Bitcoin is increasing because the supply is limited and it costs a lot of money to buy mining equipment, you can't see ETH and other altcoins if Bitcoin is not created.
