I don’t understand why this currency is still mainly on the cryptomarket. If we take the top 2 ETH, then this token has a huge technological potential with its ICO, NFT, DEFI also has multiple cross-chains that expand the ETH ecosystem.
What keeps BTC so high? If we speak openly, then BTC has no role in itself, it's just a dummy compared to other technologies on the other crypto

It is true as you described. That BTC has no role in the emergence of other blockchain technologies. Unlike the presence of Ethereum. But what we should know is that Bitcoin is the motor of all altcoins. Altcoins will not move without Bitcoin. Because current passive income continues through the Bitcoin blockchain system, one of which is the mining system. Bitcoin is also one of the blockchains that have been tested to be secure, and cannot be hacked. Even Bitcoin developers have not changed the Bitcoin blockchain system since it was created until now. Starting with a question, if not for Bitcoin would there be a crypto space? Also, which blockchain is the most secure today? The answer is Bitcoin blockchain. Another question, which blockchain and coin started the main idea backing the crypto space till today? The answer is still Bitcoin, everything falls back to Bitcoin.
Let me explain further, Bitcoin brought about the idea of Peer-to-peer system of transactions which of course takes place in a very secure and decentralized manner; this idea is what many blockchains and platforms are still working with, developing on and improving on, because that's what is needed in the world today.
Yes, there are many other blockchains now but how many can you say is decentralized and trusted. Talking about trust, all these big players, organizations, cooperations coming into this space which coin are most of them buying? Is it not Bitcoin, what stops them from going for others, the simple answer is they know they can have their investments in Bitcoin and be sure of it. Therefore, the more they buy, the more the market cap keeps growing.

Most of the projects are still decentralised, but bitcoin is the first and prime mover, and without bitcoin maybe we will not any any of this cryptocurrencies. Some of the coins that comes with bitcoin during its early days has died already, but bitcoin keeps going strong.

As for the question, it's irrelevant for me, no one can touch bitcoin in the top and I doubt that there will be in the future. Bitcoin has cornered the market already, newbie investors started everything through bitcoin.

Bitcoin is the strongest chain with the most hashrate, hence it is the most secure chain out there, hence it does attract most of the money coming into the market, especially from institutional investors, hence the ecosystem around Bitcoin gets the most support and experiences the quickest legitimization and adoption. There are so many reasons why Bitcoin is at the top and will probably stay there, I can't even think of the length of the list.

we know for ourselves that btc is the first coin and is the number one and largest coin in the world. so to shift its position is difficult. coupled with the events in 2017 that shocked people because the price of btc increased dramatically, this certainly attracted the interest of many people. although it is actually seen today that there are many other coins that perform better than btc, but the mindset of some people still makes btc the best coin.

Aside from being the number one crypto btc is also the most trusted of all crypto out there with the highest support from individuals and institutions as well, I don't think there is any other crypto that deserve that spot more than btc does, it has come a long way and should be at the top.

No cryptocurrency can ever compete with Bitcoin looking at it as the first ever crypto with numerous species of altcoins that are seen now in the market. Bitcoin is cryptocurrency on it own and I every other altcoins do dance towards it music. Let's not argue why Bitcoin adoption is uncompared to other coins with it's massive volatility and price which is becoming more valuable than even Gold. I will buy more Bitcoin if I have funds to invest in cryptocurrency because with time, Bitcoin will be the most expensive asset  in the word.

If you look at the major altcoins majority are shifting to POS and only time will tell how the government will view them and will they try to control them as majority runs with a few master nodes and it is easier for the government to control them unlike POW.

I think what keeps bitcoin at the top of the crypto market? because bitcoin is the first digital currency and also known to all consumers or everyone first, and gets more exposure from the media than any other cryptocurrency.
besides being widely known, the price of bitcoin is also constant and relatively high compared to other cryptocurrencies.

Indeed, BTC in the crypto market is gold, and even more so it is the first cryptocurrency, which is rightfully the progenitor of all cryptocurrencies. As for cryptocurrencies such as ETH, everything is obvious here, because ETH and other similar cryptocurrencies received their blockchain systems from BTC, and are also auxiliary services for the creation and distribution of blockchain technology in the world. Well, from my own perspective, bitcoin might for sure not have the kind technology other coins have built into it, but one thing, which is the most important thing in investment is that bitcoin has a good level of trust compared to other coins, being the first ever crypto coin to be created, which means, it laid the foundation for other coins that are in existence today, bitcoin had no ico, no form of fund raising, it was purely built on trust which comes from organic growth, bitcoin started from 0, grew organically from 0 to where it is today, this is why it's well recognized and trusted both by the rich, poor and Middle class.

To a certain degree Bitcoin has a lot of control as it is the first cryptocurrency to react to anticipated problems. If something is wrong in the space like bad regulations or any governments cracking down on crypto, the whole market only goes down if Bitcoin goes down. If Bitcoin doesn't move, the market demonstrates the common understanding that the event doesn't pose a threat to the space as a whole.

Just to let you know, the invention of bitcoin is what begot altcoin, bitcoin has been in existence for long before altcoins where been created, bitcoin being the oldest is the most popular and trusted cryptocurrency so far and this is more reason which it's at the top, no matter the condition of a father he is still the head of the family, the fact that the new blockchains are doing much more better than bitcoin doesn't mean bitcoin has lost it's purpose of creation.
