Not much info here. Is it already relaunched or you're planning on it? Is it still PoW? If so, are there pools? What's the block reward?

The coin was in it's PoS phase with a 15% stake interest. At block 60,000 we changed to a more realistic 3% PoS.

it's now a PoS coin so you can't mine it directly.

I have updated our github with a fork to 3% PoS at block 69,000. We are getting the wallets out tomorrow and getting trex to update soon. I'll put a big red banner in the thread when the new wallet is out.

When can we expect your road map or some kind of future plans, Not hurrying but I believe you must have overtaken with some vision. Planning to buy some more after RAW vision is clear.

EDIT: after looking at the number of people that download the new client we are waiting some more time to do the fork. we want everyone that was in RAW to be informed about this takeover and to get excited about it as much as we are.

Thought of something - RAW CRYPTOWARE : Clothing for Crypto.

Shirts, hats, mugs, etc. of not only RAW but also other solid cryptos.  I know there are some other sites available, but nothing that truly stands out.  If we could make this work, we could use profits to help fund the CLUB RAW and further develop RAW.

I believe Smokin donated most of them to start.

The mining shares thing hasn't been thoroughly discussed, so I want to come in IRC later tonight and go over my ideas with that.  I run BAMM on Cryptostocks and pay out dividends via Cryptostocks.  I am looking at donating a decent amount of shares to CLUB RAW to help incentivize the project.  Basically, I think that Club members have to hold and stake set amount of RAW for maybe 90 days, and every 90 days, we would distribute evenly the BTC that was accumulated from mining.  At this point, we are running about 110 mh's Scrypt, but we will be adding a Vaultbreaker shortly, and also have a 40% reinvestment fund to keep growing our hash power. 

If it were possible to have a specialized Club RAW wallet, that would be awesome.  or perhaps put Club RAW features into the wallet that would unlock - by choice, the features, while locking the amount of coins for staking.  When you chose to join Club RAW from within the wallet, it would also activate a BTC address entry that you would enter, so that we could automate the process of paying out.  Then every 90 days, you would receive a BTC deposit from the mining shares, along with anything else that gets added to the CLUB.  (store profits, other assets......)

I am opposed to paying out in RAW due to the fact that for the most part, people will dump it, and That is what the multipool is for.  Encouraging people to buy RAW on their own is more beneficial to the coin in my opinion, but that is not up to me.

Ideas.  my mind races.  Serial entrepreneurism is my addiction.  lol. 

I am also a community manager for TECH, and we have different ideas there, but they need to decide on a direction. 

I feel that donating 20kish mining shares of the leftover BAMM shares would help benefit BAMM and RAW.

One of the things that I think will be critical to alt adoption is rewarding consumers for using the product.  Similar to why people choose different credit cards.

This is not necessarily an easy task, but I think the club is a start, and then we can go from there.

Discussed a bit more about the incentive program last night, but didn't get anytime with the DEV as he had prior obligations.  This conversation will continue, but I will be away for the weekend without a solid connection. 

I think what you are seeing is people buying and staking for the possible RAW Club benefits.  The details about the RAW club are not final but few people speculate on 25-30k RAW.

Basically you buy RAW and you hold it for X number of days.  After X days the mining profits are distributed between the club members. 

The value is holding at every new level.  It means people are not willing to sell their raw for cheap anymore.

The price reaches a new peak and the weak hands sell.  The value holds until people want to fill up again.  Its a been a slow and steady increase.

With a 5.7M coins and $85k Market cap there is plenty of room to grow.

Yes sir.  in a perfect world, and potentially in the near future, I would like to see this be a very simple and easy to administer program.  But that would take more development on top of the block chain, a decentralized exchange, and perhaps some kind of colored coin implementation.  Don't know how feasible this will be, but if we can do it, it would blow up the crypto scene.

I will also begin the transfer/accumulation of shares/btc TOMORROW, and woul like to launch registration ASAP - but we will need to work a bit behind the scenes on this.  IRC - which with all the hype, I never see anyone in - HELLO, lol

I will also be purchasing a domain today.......  for the shop if we go that direction, that will really exemplify what we intend to do.

I am pretty sure that could be in the works, but am not sure.  At this point, I am only focusing on how to get the most out of the rewards program.  I want to make the program ultimately incentivize for both holding RAW and using RAW.

25K should be minimum IMO, it's a quite low amount.
30 days is ages in crypto time so that's good. I'd even say 15 days is more than enough

Considering 4.9M as the new total amount of coins:

50,000   ~1.02%
75,000   ~1.53%
100,000   ~2.04%

0.51% is SYNC's magic number so 25k sounds about right.

The issue is managing the work.

That is sad news for Him, it sounds cruel but , he just made the coin rarer, so, more valuable.

I would say either monthly or biweekly. But since this has to be done manually at the time, I would think that monthly would be the best option.  It would pay out on the 1st of each month, considering you held your 25k for the entirety of the previous month.

I would think that we should be able to run a quick 5 day registration for September, and then build from there.

Registrations would have to be in by midnight Crypto time (UDP) on August 31.

Initially we (I) would have to setup an email address, and a spread sheet that I can post for all to see.  The only thing we would need at this point is a RAW address and a BTC address.  We would verify that the address is holding 25k RAW throughout the month specified, and payout on the 1st.

your will continue to earn until wallet does not hold the 25k, so you will not have to register again, unless it is seen that you went under the threshold.

registrations for October will open on the 1st of September, and will be closed on the 30th at midnight UDP......

If anyone else is willing to contribute some BTC to obtain shares, I will post the cryptotocks address so you can send it there and the shares will be purchased off the market.

For anyone else who wants to know how BAMM operates, our revenue is split 40/40/20  (Dividends/reinvestment/overhead)

Those are not new though :P, plus EasySend is not THAT much of a feature tbh and 2 more coins have it atm. Decentralized markets, Staking miles etc those were unique ideas, we should think of something noone else has done. Also decentralized market is a good idea no coin has done it yet so it would be quite the accomplishment for RAW. plus it's what the crypto community has been craving for lately

What if you have more? Do you get 15% of however much you hold?

And how does the additional BTC come into play exactly?

The RAW POS is 15% currently, which is yearly.  So you will only accrue 300 or so in a month.  And yes, the POS applies to ALL coins in your wallet.

Staking these coins in your wallet keeps the network healthy and that is the reason we want to further incentivize users to stake buy adding the Club Raw program.

I love all the ideas, but it seems that we need more community participation to make this work and grow.  For all the Twitter hype, I am very surprised at the lack of attention that this thread gets.

I don't think Piggy got bailed on. The specs were poor and concept less than awesome. "473,490,056 PIGGYs are currently in circulation"... I think this amount of coin in circulation is why the value is low for PIGGY, that and it's themed after "penny banks", not dollar banks.  Change the name to HOG and cut the supply by 470,000,000 and you may get somewhere with that one :)

Blackcoin for example had PoW max height 10 000 and block reward 10 000, but there is only about 75 000 000 Blackcoins. Do you think blackcoin guys hid ~25 000 000 BC?

True at these prices the returns are great. Don't know if it will dump that low though, I feel like some market buys are in the air.

Funny how there's only 0.8 btc to 1k and person/bot is filling the sell book just to look like pressure... (100 RAW sell orders around 700-900)

bot is trying to make the sell pressure like placebo said. The orders upto next 300 satoshis are nothing at all. its a fake sell pressure so he can buy cheap coins from the scared guys. bots should be banned imo.

You are both right, and @awais3344 and @Crypton1te.

1) It is scary (maybe bad idea), but it is a bot for sure.
2) The main problem is that, if the price fail down too much it will never come back. That bot can do with low trade volume... but I don't think so that will happened.
3) The much worse problem is that people think that the coin "will die" (lol) when they look the price, and that is what break apart the community and makes funs run away! No, coin will not die.

4) For the last two problems, the support of the coin must do the rest, and that is the dev and us (community).
...and one good looking info:

it has been happening on many coins on bittrex. bots create sell orders at low. mostly of no more than 0.01btc, they create a range of 200 satoshi with such little value. The coin seller thinks price is going and sells at whatever price the "bot" is buying. Then bot sells it with +50 satoshis to next buyer and creates ridiculous sell orders again until the next victim.

So you all should relax and hold the coins. Like we all are holding. Like I have bought at 1200. Others have bought at 2000.

Anyway a word from the dev would be nice though.

As it looks right now, bots are not selling directly into buy support themselves. So as long as you put buy orders of something like 200raw 1 satoshi below sell price, bot manipulation is easily stopped. However, this doesn't stop people from selling. :)

EDIT: In other words - bots are not the problem, problem is that no one is buying.

Problem is that there is no reason to buy this coin, the devs are not active, they came with a club? Club for what, the community is not that big. Come with some nice features instead to make it more attractive for people to use and buy the coin.

Information is scarce, but on twitter they have announced their intention to create a fully working DAC. Which i imagine will take more than a couple of days. At least it's something different compared to the now trivial anon-bullshit and worldwide adoption crap.

Hello $RAW Followers. I am interested in participating in this community and offering my services to support this initiative. I would like input on some ideas I have to add value to this coin, and to create long-term value for the investors and community.

1) I would like to offer precious metals in exchange for $RAW. This could be done 1 of 2 ways. I can create an exchange website where I would sell 1 Oz silver Bars & Coins, as well as fractional gold, at a set price of $RAW, or set it up as an auction format.

2) I could set up the precious metals exchange as an addition to Club $RAW, and offer the largest holders monthly (50,000+ Raw? 100,000 + RAW?) silver 'dividends' to holders of a certain size of $RAW. I may start off just doing 1 oz of silver per month, and increase that amount along with the increase in price of $RAW, assuming I would be able to sell off small portions of my holdings in RAW or my POS stakes (I hold a significant amount of RAW currently) and invest in more precious metals to distribute to loyal Club RAW Members.

I also have copious amounts of Collectible Copper 1 Oz rounds, Rare Paper Money & Foreign Coins, Various Pre-1965 'Junk' US Silver Coinage, Morgan & Peace Silver Dollars, Novelty Tokens, and over 1000 Gold & Silver Jewelry Items that I currently have for sale online.

Does anyone know how to read the code of RAW to make sure it is sound and does not contain any premine or hidden items that would be detrimental to the long term health of the coin? What is the process involved to make sure the code is solid, safe and free from potential hackers or those who would change the structure of the coin?

If I don't hear from the twitter account of RAW shortly I will create a new one and begin communication from there. Whatever clown is running the account now is too busy to write 140 characters about the status of any updates, so we must assume there are none.

I also like the idea of the CLUB RAW initiative, but the main person in charge of the mining shares is really pissed now at the incompetence of the so called 'Devs'. But I am hoping we can still work something out longterm and actually bring this coin around to being a success. The original CLUB RAW idea is a great one, and should be expanded upon.

As far as the name being ruined, etc. A rising price, roadmap, and real world economic use cases will solve all of that over time. We must also rid ourselves of the scammers and P&D groups who are trying to control this coin. The "Foundation" that exists to support this coin has done nothing to prove so, words are very cheap I am afraid, and they are short on action. Nor have they explained the 400k that disappeared on Sept 5 along with a market dump in RAW price....

RAW bag holders will be pleasantly surprised here in the near future. The 'revival' devs are unresponsive, and also either untrustworthy or incompetent, either of which is inexcusable for a coin with the potential of RAW. I am looking to get a group of large holders of RAW who will stake their position in an open and clear manner, and I am planning on continuing the RAW Club with my own incentive structure. Its sad that people have lost some BTC because of childish pump and dump twitter groups, but the small amount of coins means that RAW can easily be back above 1000 satoshi and set that as a new 'ground floor" pull your sell orders and stake your coins in your personal wallet. I am still debating on what size to make the minimum investment , but I want to make the club rewards substantial so I am leaning toward larger minimum stake size. Feedback welcomed. I am planning on offering collectible copper coins, fractional silver coins and pre-65 us 90% silver coinage, and other collectibles that are suitable for long term investment. As of right now I am thinking to reward the top 15-25 RAW holders by size, with the largest holders getting the largest rewards, on a sliding scale. Don't sell anything below 1000, and buy up your stakes now. I need a programmer type Dev to help me with basic maintenance, payment amt to be discussed, but I would prefer a RAW holder to make incentives easier to align. I contacted piggyDev but he holds no raw and wants payment in BTC and I'm not surei  trust him and I would prefer new blood for reputation sake. I'm at a loss as to what to do with #ClubRaw.

There has not been an update from the dev for almost a month.  I have been working with the active team on TECH awaiting for the official relaunch of that coin.  (tomorrow)

I think what I will do is offer members an option to remain club raw members and hope that something comes to fruition, or to exchange the raw membership for TECH membership.  I have not figures out the perfect rate for this, but it will be finalized tomorrow.

Announcing new Club #RawMetals incentive program, for which qualification will be decided on OCTOBER 1st, 2014.

This will be an incentive structure that will reward the largest holders of $RAW Coin, which will consist of PHYSICAL items to be shipped out the week after the decision date of OCTOBER 1st. Physical items will consist of a 'grab bag' of physical precious metals (copper, silver, etc.), paper currency, collectible domestic & foreign coins, & anything else I decide to throw in, etc.

As this is a program I will be running myself, at my own cost, I will be leaving the terms of this program open to change, and welcome any community input as to the best structure of this Club #RawMetals incentive program.

Here is the initial setup and qualification structure.

You must hold at MINIMUM 100,000 Raw Coin to qualify for the #RawMetals program. This is in part because I aim to make these packages have as significant value as possible, and I want to add incentive for holders to OPEN and stake their wallets, and to pull these coins off of Exchanges where they can be easily sold.

The TOP TEN holders of RawCoin, (having a minimum of 100,000 $RAW held), will be mailed out packages the week after October 1st, 2014. Make sure that it is in the last 16 coins, just before end of voting, sell one coin at bid, as this will be used as target price. So how low the price is in the beginning how better it is to get pumped. after that, you just have to create some buy support and make sure that nobody can break it, so that RAW stay in the listing.

This coin is as dead as it gets regardless of what the "devs" may be doing, and I seriously doubt anything has happened. Should PiggeyDev ever make another coin or even affiliate himself with another coin I will be staying far away, he's proven that though he may be a capable coder, he's completely useless at even basic PR to keep a coin going (well until he sold off his coins). Not even bothering to take the 2 mins to make a weekly twitter post or on here is ridiculous. 2 coins, the same patterns, both promising, both abandoned. Oh well.

Both iniciatives are GREAT! but without a DEV all this is futile , that is way I'm asking  for a takeover. I'm sure if we all pitch in a new Dev could be hired and give this coin a strong backbone

The best thing to do is to download a fresh Rawcoin blockchain. 

If you are on Windows, find your roaming folder. This is done by searching %appdata% in the start menu.

Navigate to the roaming folder and find the Rawcoin folder. BACKUP your wallet.dat in a couple places.

You can then delete everything in your rawcoin folder or everything, but the wallet.dat.

Now install the latest wallet with a fresh install.  It will download the entire blockchain and could take a little
while. That will hopefully fix the problem.

Hashes were corrupted on a few blocks, I ran a lookup against the blockchain and found them. The sad thing is that it isn't the first time I've had to do this... and no one should have to download a blockchain more than once (or find where it got broken).

That being said, I'm not sure I disagree with the previous post about giving up on this one. If all you really want is the price up, anyone with a few BTC to spare can do that. Hell, anyone who decides to gamble 20 BTC or so can move almost any market they feel like.

I understand that view completely.  The Rawmetals is an experiment and has the potential to be really cool.  Its just a different way to add value back into a coin instead of doing the old pump and dump routine.  I think after being blatantly burned by the Raw devs, this is trying to right the ship without burning others.  I am in and I will post pictures of what I receive for staking.

I am back with a vengeance to turn RAW back into a legitimate Crypto currency. What I am offering is something novel and unique, and that is not currently being done by anyone in the Alt. Coin landscape. Mailing physical Gold, Silver, Diamonds, Gemstones, Collectible OLD US Coins, Copper Proof Rounds, Paper money, etc., to the largest 10 holders of RAW each and EVERY month. To qualify for the 'TOP 10' status, you have to hold at minimum 100,000 RAW. It is my belief that this number will naturally rise once more people begin to catch on to the true value being offered here, and that this represents a fundamental shift in the way cryptocurrency has been done up to this point.

If you check on twitter, you can see some of the items one of the members received, another club member will be posting some pictures later as well. This is really a great chance to get in on a coin that has a low # of coins, and which you can own a decent % of for very small BTC. There are some obvious steps that we will need to take to keep momentum building and enhance the community cooperation for the success of $RAW.

One is to find a legitimate DEV who will not bail on the first price spike. I have been fielding some ideas and names of people who have solid reputations and could be willing to help. Unfortunately, I have a finance and trading background, and technology and code is not my area of expertise. I also am an avid collector, buyer and seller of jewelry, precious metals, collectibles, and items that will hold their long-term value. To truly take advantage of this opportunity, the wise decision would be to join the club, and then hoard away your monthly items I will be sending you, put them in your safe, and let them appreciate with time. The price of RAW should appreciate with the continued developments as well, creating a 'win-win' situation. You of course can also sell the items at current market price, and therefor lower your cost basis on your RAW purchases, to each their own.

I would like to find a DEV where I can partially pay him with RAW and the Club membership package, perhaps along with a flat BTC rate for an ongoing commitment. We need to make sure the code is IRON CLAD and that there is no corruption or issues needing pertinent attention. There is already a multi-pool setup that we need to get more hash onto. I am even willing to ship internationally, although that may take some figuring out since shipping costs are much higher, but I did ship a nice package all the way to Venezuela that the individual should receive within a week or so, and post more pics.

Yes, I have the same problem since 3 days ago.. I send them several "request" and do absolutely nothing to solve the problem.

ATX, am I understanding correctly that you are taking control of this coin? If so, you'll be the third to attempt it. Also, if so, I'm in. Followed for a while, but have not done anything with it. Saw what you did on EAC, and though it didn't quite work out, it was never due to your efforts.

Is there still an active dev on the coin?  The wallet has at least 3 forks and we can't keep the blockchain in sync.  We have disabled it until this is fixed.  There is no way for us to send coins off because we don't know which fork its on at this point.

Seems like the network has a problem, no POS block were generated for 12 hours.
I'm on the same "fork" than the block explorer, which indicates the same thing.

I have been in talks with hiring a Developer to fix the problems we are having with the blockchain and forking issues with RAW. Below are some excerpts from our SKYPE conversations. He is looking to charge 1 BTC to fix all of the problems, which I am currently coming up with as much as I can to pay for right now. I'm fairly sure the dev you're talking to would have already told you this, but you'll need to fork the github to one that you control, so that you have all the relevant keys and access.

i sold this shit when it came from 1200 to 700. it was good rip off by same scammy devs. I didn't notice that the developers have a history of creating and abandoning coins.

Ok everyone. Time for updates. The Dev I was working with has decided that this is too big of a project for him, and has asked me to look for help elsewhere. I do not believe he has done much work, and the amount of money paid to him so far was not the entirety of the 1 BTC he was contracted for, so going forward, here is where we are.

Apparently we have forks that have corrupted the block chains into 'multiple' blockchains. According to this Dev I was working with, we need a Dev to:

[2:08:23 PM] DEV: 2-get a lot of checkpoints from that chain
[2:08:49 PM] DEV: make a new wallet with all those checkpoints and tell everyone to delete their .rawcoin folder and keep the wallet .dat

My wallet is currently giving me C++ Runtime errors when I try to boot it up, this started after the current DEV I was paying told me to start checking my 'getblockhash' in my debug console every 10,000 blocks, so that he could ensure the 'correct' blockchain would be following the one I was on.

After the first check, boom, the wallet shut down, and despite all the uninstall, reinstalls, deletion of roaming except for wallet.dat, etc. I am having no luck with the wallet.

I have personally written several Devs of other coins asking for their help and feedback to fix the issues currently facing RAW. I understand the work could take several hours, or possibly days, to have it done up correctly.

I would also need to have the code 'pulled' to my personal github so that I could control the code and contract out any further work going forward, without worry of manipulation or destruction of the code.

I am likely the largest bagholder there is for RAW right now, so I am in the same boat as everyone else, except I plan on doing something about it. Club #RawMetals was a smashing success despite only being used for 1 month, and those who received packages can attest that it would indeed be a great idea to hold & Stake RAW, become a top 10 Club Member, and have precious metals mailed to your door step monthly. Pretty great, innovative, and an idea that hasn't been done by coins that have 100X the market cap of RAW with no TRUE REAL WORLD VALUE.

So here is where I am at now, I am willing to bounty 1 BTC & 100,000 RAW to anyone who can & WILL fix the issues plaguing RAW, and get it back to a functional, solid source, and working Coin. If you read this message board and can code, or help, or contact someone who can do the above, then please let me know.

I suppose another option would be for me to create a new coin of my own, forking off of some other POS coin, and introducing my idea in that format. Or I could take over some other abandoned coin that has a tiny market cap but the code is solid, and I could buy up a decent % of the float before offering my Club Metals program, to incentivize others to buy in and participate in the new community.

I do like RAW, and I hold a Huge Bag, but since I am not a coder, and I have had little success getting a coder or DEV to work with me, I am at somewhat of an impasse.

I think RAW can easily be a 10X coin from where we are today in 1-3 months time if we can get some people to step up and take leadership roles. I have taken mine, but someone out there with programming skills needs to join the fray. The stakes are legit. 1 BTC and 100,000 RAW FOR STARTERS. I would consider a guaranteed # of months of Club RAW METALS membership as well.

No matter what, the dev must be paid once the work is done now. AtxSilver is a trustable guy and can be vouched by raw metal club members if asked. There is no case he should pay anything in advance.

I can send you my peers.dat, but I'm not sure if I've deleted it or not since by big withdrawal from bittrex 2 months ago. I think I've deleted the entire directory multiple times (except for wallet.dat) to try to sync on another fork.

I could get it up and running, But seems no one wants to get me a few nodes so I can synch this thing and fix the problems. Do you have any nodes? Please post them here. I cant get a single connection

It can't sync past block 259575 it seems for the time being. I shut the wallet down a few weeks ago seeing it couldn't stake correctly at all.
I'm gonna save then delete the blockchain if it doesn't move at all for the next day.

can you send me your peers.dat now? or the nodes at least? so i can sync up to that block, then contact bittrex, and move this thing up. its still doable and we can recover this coin.

I tried to delete the block chain a few times, but was never able to sync past block 210377, which is even before my withdraw nearly 2 months ago.
So I put back the saved blockchain stuck at the block 259575.

This is Great News! I apologize to have been out of the loop for a bit. It looks like indeed Awais is working on a fix for this. My bounty is still valid and will be gifted to Awais on a 'schedule' and upon certain conditions being met.

Once we have a working wallet and my coins reappear, I will be transferring him 100,000 RAW bounty to get things started off. I will then begin making BTC payments we arrange on a weekly basis from there, as well as other potential bonuses for goals met. Maybe he can be the 'Coding Dev' I have always been looking for? 

Run and shout it from the rooftops! Raw Coin is back and here to stay! And guess what?

Have you tried contacting ATXsilver? If it is indeed fixed then you are entitled to your bounty, once it is confirmed.  Maybe you guys can set up some way to have someone try it.  I am sure we can figure this out!

is this a proof of work/proof of stake, or only proof of stake? could someone help me with mining a new block? I dont have a gpu now. can't figure how to setup a pool on my local computer.

I have waited quite sometime. However the chain that I could sync further correctly could not be done without a wallet with mature coins (coins that can be stacked, the normal coins). But I couldn't find anyone to give me their wallet.

Market has been removed.... The blockchain has been dead for some time and the wallet was removed from our system a month ago.  We tried to let the market die a natural death but someone is artificially keeping it alive.  All orders have been canceled.

I have an interest in the preservation of this coin and some powerful promotional ideas that could get it some attention.
