Title: Can someone tell me what this is?
Post by: Uncurlhalo on May 09, 2012, 06:44:05 PM
So I was looking at the ip's for the blocks relayed to Blockchain.info by unknown miners and one that I came across that actually had a webpage hosted. Have no idea what it is. Is it a web based management tool like those in BAMT? I'm just kinda interested.

It looks like a control server for someone's mining rig and now that you posted it, a hacking target.

Well It has over 222 GPU's and like 30 FPGA's I hope someone with such equipment and resources has a bit of security. Also technically this was all publicly available on Blockchain.info. There is really nothing here that someone couldn't have found on there own.

all those FPGA are BFL singles as well.

Damn, someone is more serious!

See thats what I thought but it lists all the connected users as GPU's or FPGA's which makes me think its just a large farm someone with a lot of money to invest has gone and set up.

Someone should DDOS that POS out the sky.

If not a botnet then surely the gov or somebody with evil intentions.

222 GPUs and 30 FPGAs - yeah sounds 100% legit just like the bigcpuminer guy with 10 000 cpu machines...

Erm then you should DOS me since I am close to that count of GPU's, I promise I will stop at 221 GPU just not to be labelled a botnet ;)

I seriously doubt somebody has 200+ GPUs. That would be like 50 rigs. I have not heard of a whole building mining bitcoins ...

I wonder what the "fee" columns means.
Looks like the are pool hopping also.

I doubt it is a botnet.  Most of the machines are 4 GPU rigs and there are 18 BFL Singles.  I mean who has their quad GPU mining rig or BFL rig infected and doesn't notice that their revenue is now 0?  Not many non miners have quad GPU rigs.  Even a botnet which targeted only gamers would have more variety in hashing power per GPU and most machines would be 1-2 GPUs.

Total hashrate is 88GH/s.  Isn't one of the mining companies on GBLSE around 88 GH/s?

Yeah I was looking at it for a while. I saw it hop from "Private" to "Default" to "Deepbit". It also looks like they are using GPUMAX. Maybe the person who runs this will be cool and come forward and explain it. I doubt it though.

You obviously have never heard of the great miner Shatt, last time I spoke to him he had well over 300 GPUs in his datacentre. Word has it he sold out a while ago though so no idea who currently holds the record.

Anybody can claim any BS. I have 1000 GPUs and I am the 1.5 THash/s mystery miner ! I want some concrete pictures showing 5 rooms full of miners etc.

This guy has the evidence for the botnet methinks. No proof he owns all that himself.

Except, it would make no sense to run a control room and label everything as GPU/FPGA with all those stats if indeed its a botnet controlling hundreds/thousands of cpus.

That setup is designed for the person to monitor his farm, as you can see looking at the dashboard each rig is running 4.4GH with 6-7cards, so its clearly 5970's or 7990's or something in that range per card.

Point here being, you really think all that is setup in a way to mask what he is really running/controlling ? I just think the person didnt secure the site for easy viewing without authentication, that page have zeroinput controls.

How many GPUs is that ? Not even close to 100 I presume. Show me 3 rooms like that then I will say "maybe". Not jealous of anything here BTW. ATM I am running pure profit 0 expenses.

I have 155 GPU's inside one room, 12m x 12m with good cooling, I could probably put more than double this in here if I lay more power to it.

amazingrando picture have atleast in the area of 155+ GPU's and afaik the maxbtc hashrate of 62GH comes from that, also he has more than 62GH last I read so I could only assume the rest of the farm is also in that picture.

Its way easier to do than you seem to think.

How about we get back on track with your previous statements re amazingrandos farm picture, as I said thats more than 155 gpus allready and you claimed more than 100 in one room is not possible.

This is not a botnet. If the owner wants to step forward then I am sure he will. I can confirm though that this is not a botnet. I mean seriously.. a botnet with just FPGAs and GPUs?

edit: I say that I can confirm this is not a botnet as the owner of this operation approached me with an offer.

Look at P4man's avatar and look at the header on the screenshot...

Also screenshoted the guy's avatar just in case he removes it for some reason :P

EDIT: didn't read the thread before posting this. Anyway, it's here.
Also, his fight against hoppers is just because they hurt his profits. Understandable. Sleezy and fucking hypocrite, but understandable ;)

Also I'm sure you can relate the 2 initial letters in each puppets name with some known forum users who are miners. The Th, at the bottom is ThiagoCMC for sure lol
I suspect the fee is P4man's profit. People let him control the rigs, he hops pools, uses GPUmax, whatever he needs to do to increase reward, with them, and get's his part, the fee ;)
Of course I can be totally wrong, but given what the above poster said, it makes sense :P

The Bitcoinn ShitList site is user generated content. You are free to post a shitlist on who you want. If it gets merit or not will be left to commenters and to the facts. And ofcourse the target of any post there is free to defend himself and present any proof he deems worthy to clean his name.

I believe I saw P4man's reply. I also think Turbor is a sock puppet of P4man along with a lot of the other EU people pretending to buy FPGA all day and selling GPUs ( probably another hypocrite approach to lower GPU prices so he can get them cheaper just like the pool hopping hate because they are cutting into his side business ).

Sooner or later all the people on the forums will be unmasked as doing something dodgy as hell ...

When you have lost, you resort to calling everyone and everything socks and scammers. Lame.

Lost what ? I am 90% sure that Turbor = P4man. You have to admit there are tons of sockies here on the forums. There was a user called "SockPuppet" even.

Lame ? You were probably in this scheme. I saw loads of "rj..." HEHE
So now it's a scheme? And before, you thought it was a botnet? I dunno what your agenda is, but you seem to fear something. Are the voices in your head trying to get you?

Its the 99% vs the 1% scheme, p4man is clearly part of the 1% club. Pitchfork time.

I am proud to have been mentioned as a potential customer of such a well designed system, but I must regretfully say that I have actually had nothing whatsoever to do with it.

I think Clipse is also involved. Maybe his "bonuspool" is actually pointing to P4man's proxy thing or he is just paying 105% but using GPUMAX to get extra profits ...

Funny how Clipse jumped to respond when this was "discovered"  ;)

Huh huh , I said I know JWU42 and it was laughable that you think the name JW*** is related to him. So Im curious why you would immediately think that it is him or why you state I said I know what those passwords are since either you are on some mind altering drugs or reading things that I never typed.

If it is JWU42, then Ill eat my words but I was just amused to think that everyone automaticly seem to KNOW who is listed on there without all the information. That said, who cares? :)

Yes bulanula, Im involved in the creation of the universe aswell, cant you see my name written on the star right outside your bedroom, just look real good and you can see anything your mind desires.

Yes, because JWU42 doesn't even mine nor needs to return a profit to his investors and to himself... https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=75867.0
Maybe his operation is even making more money and he's screwing out investors and keeping some extra money. Paying 100%, saying he only keeps transaction fees and keeping whatever percentage more he makes just for him.
Also, those 2 JW**** entries have the awesome total of 5GH/s mining there which is exactly how much hashing power JWU42 mining OP has... Coincidence maybe?
Offering:
5 Gh/s total -- 20 Gh/s is goal by July - increasing in 5 Gh/s increments
 * Currently provided by GPUs

You can throw sand at my eyes all you want. I'm still not blind!
Also: drugs never altered my mind. They enhanced it ;) You should try some one day.

Damn right psy. I bow down to your investigative skills !

I think it would not be too hard for all the people offering bonds / pools at 100% PPS just to be funneling through something like GPUMAX / hopping and taking all the cut from that themselves and giving only 100% PPS to investors / miners while keeping the rest.

Clipse is doing it probably along with JWU42 and his bond along with tons of others I think. But who is buying the premium shares from GPUMAX ???

Look above bulanula, more details were added to the post you quoted ;)

Also, the In**** is Inaba. That 1 14GH/s rig with 18 BFL singles, and the GPU rigs above lol

Now I'll let you guys play... Already had my fun for today.

And if someone else is feeling bold, like Clipse was, think twice: can you say owned?

Look at the one rig with 18 "devices".  How many 18 GPU rigs have you seen?  :)  Now look at the total hashrate and divide by 18 to get the average per "device".  What device do you know which matches that hashrate.

Like I said, if I am wrong I will eat my words yum-yum. I just found it strange that people would draw conclusions over initials with a bunch of *** so fast.

Now, what exactly is the problem here if those miners were indeed who you say they are, is this puppetmaster "pool" a threat to society? Where is the huge conspiracy this thread turned into ? Surely I am missing something disasterous about to unfold ;)

Looks like a typical botnet administration page to me >:(

See thats what I thought but it lists all the connected users as GPU's or FPGA's which makes me think its just a large farm someone with a lot of money to invest has gone and set up.

Someone should DDOS that POS out the sky.

If not a botnet then surely the gov or somebody with evil intentions.

222 GPUs and 30 FPGAs - yeah sounds 100% legit just like the bigcpuminer guy with 10 000 cpu machines...

Lol, yes, it must be the government....

Here, have a tinfoil hat I made for you.
