I can download others without issue. Again, firefox is fine, only happens in Chrome and it can be dismissed. The address I used was the default receive address, not familiar with stealth addresses. Also, only getting 1 network connection and there is no sync progress indicator and the wallet has been running for several hours. Personally, I would like to see this develop into a very good business and see it run like a business. This is one of the ideas that has to potential to grow up in the coin world, and as a result, grow the coin world with it. Good software developer, pitchman in Fyrstikken, seems like experience with 3angle. Like to see it come together as a growing venture. It looks like they want it to. Time will tell, but it is exciting to witness. Over the years, as I developed projects, it helped to make sure there are regular and consistent updates on progress, good or bad. The forum thread has lacked updates true, but you will hear almost daily updates in regards to progress on the IRC channel #CXC . I will try to post random updates on progress when and if they come in on IRC so people here don't feel in the dark about it, They are most likely just super focused on work and getting it done and forget to log into bitcointalk. One thing that is very common among many of these coins is very good developers/programmers/visionaries, but very few have the whole package of marketing, management and business sense. Just saying, this project has the feel of a very good business venture and would like to see it take off. Hoping that CXC works to better the Crypto world like I think it can. Nice to see updated ANN front page, details matter! Would suggest taking another step that many do not and maybe listing a progress report on first ANN page and maybe on website. Shows your effort to the world and lets people know you are very serious about long term success. Most of these coins don't invest the extra effort in these details, but it all adds up. I know you can read through the pages and see the bounties paid and what you all ask for, but many won't go past the first page and the outside world only gets first screen of the website to make that decision to be curious or move on. I also think a mobile version would be huge. Almost all coin ppl will have smartphones and be able to use with there wallets and coins, where ppl not into coins are not going to have accounts to use with hardware yet. Smartphone app makes it easy for us and gets noticed by others when used in public.
Also, all of us that use any sites to buy stuff from should start working on them to at least look at this Register. It is just going to take a few to start using it and it will begin to grow. Just getting it up and running where the dev team can start making practical improvements because of the experiences of the merchants will help a great deal too. Never know where the future is, but these types of pushes into it either create new value or spark new ideas. At this point in coins, these are what needs to keep happening. I support these guys because of that truth alone, regardless of where this ends up. I also would not bet against this team either, they are capable and motivated and have already proven they want to be here for the next step in coins. Very fun times. Do love the ideas and speculation on the forums and the IRC channel. It is fun to see people get the creative juices flowing. This is still beta so while it functions on the web , it will need more additions to be workable in a physical location really , (i mean if someone who buys it can code , and designs their own PLU and stuff it would be possible to have it up and running at a physical store) It does mention in the video that it is a future plan for what the PLU will look like so i am guessing it is still being worked towards. This is an idea that is being developed that will reach out beyond the speculative nature of the coins as they are today. Much like the coins that are catering to certain products, this coin will be rise in value over time as it the software behind it improves and becomes used and widely noticed in the commerce world outside of speculative markets. These kinds of ventures are what will bridge the coin world from infancy to maturity as they find ways to make coins practical to people outside of the little bubble they are in now.
No one knows which ideas will success and which are doomed, but supporting the effort to get coins accepted is one way to make sure they eventually will be. Be patient with these developers as most of them are really working toward creating ideas of value. It is natural to want a quick profit if you believe it is there for the taking, but sometimes you just invest in an idea that may grow into an industry one day. This particular team has a track record and has members that have proven themselves on other projects to be steady and committed.
