This is actually a great service! There's a similar one in Finland which also has an option to receive your paycheck in BTC. Not sure how that works though.

Payment details are very important. If you forgot to fill that in we will contact you before sending the payment to the enduser.

At our website you fill in the amount of the speeding ticket, the account number (IBAN / American bank account) of the receiver, you pay us the amount of the speeding ticket + transaction costs & fee in one of the 24 accepted cryptocurrencies and we will pay your speeding ticket to the account number you filled in.

Just a couple of other questions.

There is a rival company who provide a similar service but without the anonymity (you need to provide ID for after the first EUR 1000)

Do you have any plans to get a money remittance licence or what you would do if your money (and clients money) got blocked by the bank if they started questions large amounts being transferred through a business that wasn't setup as a money remitter?

(Not trying to start a fight here, so I deliberately haven't mentioned the other company name or their thread. Just trying to figure out the best service available which matches anonymity with safety of funds. Hope you understand. Unfortunately BTC has attracted a lot of scammers so just trying to do my research properly)

Thank you for your kind and smart question. We do have contacted the dutch authorities to make sure out service is legal without needing bank licence.

Because of the fact that cryptocurrencies at this moment is not the same as money we do not need a bank licence.

And because our service is a service to make payment to a third party and we hold no customer money (we pay the bill before we receive the money you paid us) we do not need any licence at all.

If our bank will freeze our balance we have a backup account somewhere else.

If in the future the government will decide that cryptocurrency is the same as money we have already a backup plan with and payment service provider, we do need to hold to a know you customer policy.

We monitor each payment before we make the payment to the end users.

Do you think that one day it will be possible to offer the same service backwards? I mean: I send a bank transfer to you and you send the equivalent Btc to another person?  :) AFAIK there's no such service yet, I suppose it is more challenging from a regulatory perspective.

Actually I was thinking about a service useful for businesses like my own, half of my customers are other distant businesses that pay me with bank transfers. I'd like to be paid directly in Btc but they don't know what cryptocurrencies are and I can't force them to learn. If there were such a service they could continue to use bank transfers with my invoice details and I could receive Btc.
Sometimes ago I asked this on another forum and there were many other people interested. Such service could probably not work anonymously because it could be abused to launder stolen bank accounts but, with proper registration, I can't see why not?

I would be interested in exactly the reverse service:

If i make deals with US companies, i receive $$$ with a wire transfer in my EU bank account. My bank charges very high fees for non-EU wires, and i don't like seeing to much US money pooring into my EU bank account (the bank or the taxman might get suspicious, even tough it's only $250-$500/month).

Would you be able to offer this service: receive a wire transfer, and make sure the money ends up in my BTC wallet?

I realise a lot of exchanges offer a service which allows me to wire them money, and they convert it into BTC, but that's only if I wire them money, not if a company wires money to them in my name.

I guess it will be kinda difficult to find out who the money belongs to once you receive a wire... But i think there must be a way to work around this problem?

We have account numbers in europe and america and working on an account number in the uk aswell. This way we can receive USD, EUR and GBP without the high fees.

Put me up for bèta testing  ;) (such a service would greatly reduce my wire transfer fees and make my wife worry less about US money in our bank account)... I speak dutch and english, so i guess that would eliminate the (small) language barreer that can exist when asking technical questions  ;D

Also, i have no problem getting verified, as long as my info stays private and encrypted within your company

I tried out your service. It has two bugs. I entered xxx,xx as the value and the script told me that i cant pay more than 1000€. ::) I then changed the , to a . and it worked. Even though you are in europe and the examples are with , too.

Next thing... the error windows stating the error pushed all the remaining form to the right side so that i could access the first field only by going into a later formfield and go backwards with shift-tab.

I hope all goes well since the reviews on your site state 1.8/5. Though at least you dont have faked reviews. Surely you would have a 4.9 when you would be scammers. :)

I hope you do this with a bank account that you only use for that matter. Not for other things like rent of your flat, gas and so on. Losing an account surely is no fun when you have to change all connections to that account to a new one.

It seems the "paid" only referred to ME having paid the bill from bitpay. I got an email yesterday where they claimed that they paid at that time.

So they waited some days until they sent out the transaction.

Congrats for that milestone. So far i tested your service a couple of times with small bills and it always went fine. Support was supportive when i, again ::), got the negative surprise of the strange behaviour of bitcoin exchanges taking fees from the amount you want to withdraw. Imagine an ATM where you say you want $100 and you get $99.5 out of it. :D

Anyway... no complaints about your service. That's my review so far. :)

At this moment building our own payment processor has the biggest priority. As soon as we finished this processor we will launch it in a new service. When the payment module has proven itself we will use in in v2 of bitbill and bitincome.

Are you on vacation or does your automated system have any issues?  ??? Transactions keep on status "payed" for 1 week or longer since about one month. Normally they have been completed in 1-3 working days.

use this service monthly and never had an issue, only once due to an error when processing transaction but a simple email sorted that and proved i sent the transaction. great service.

So how is this easier than paying with a credit or debit card?  Ans:  it's not.  This is an exchange service, because your landlord and utility company don't take bitcoin, they take fiat.  So instead of doing fiat-->bill paid, you're doing fiat-->bitcoin-->fiat-->bill paid.  Which is completely unnecessary IMO.  Unless you earn your living in bitcoin there's so little need for this.

This is a very useful tool and it will surely attract more people to use crypto-currencies as it is much comfortable and cheaper to pay with them then going to the bank or through internet banking. I hope after the holiday ShopemNL will be more active in this thread. Support is very important. Also if you need your site translated into romanian language contact me and we'll discuss a deal. ;)

I like the service. It's simple and fast. What I would like to see also is a more detailed view of the orderlist. The detail view should show all the fields one put into the form when creating the order and all the fields that were used for the payment by bitbill, including reference.

This should be able to do pretty easily with a short amount of coding work since all the data should be available already.

And in case someone forgot the reference and would have to proof the payment then a request for a bank statement showing that payment would be nice. Might be that there is already an automatism built into to create such thing.

If these things would be implemented then support would be way less for bitbill.

No as long there are no new legal terms conducted we do not have to change our policy, or cooperate in any investigation, bitcoin and crypcurrency is still nothing law whise. So the current system will remain the same as it is now, easy, secure and anonymous and i believe it will maintain this way for at least another year.

Addition : They found loads of cash, drugs and weapons with the people they are talking about in this article, it has nothing to do with bitcoin specific.

For all : if you have urgent questions please contact us by email since we are not here alot anymore, busy times. Upgrade of the system will come someday with lots of improvement such as multi currency, account registration, bitbill subscription (to buy of fee), more transaction info with proof-of-payment screenshot and much more!

I assume that they don't have standard phone support line and instead- if you will reach them, you will be asked to write a ticket for their support system.
It is much easier to proceed with written support than with phone support, some cases won't be taken care of during the time of a one phone call.
Every payment processor, especially the one which is based on bitcoin transfers can experience hiccups and long 'processing' times, it's normal when you mix Bitcoin and standard bank payments.

Sometimes the auto system hangs due bank api problems, meaning we need to do it manually. We do our best to do this asap but can sometimes take a bit longer then 24hr.

I use bitwala for my bills, maybe I should try this service because bitwala didnt support my country anymore

It is not so nice that it seems to happen often that a transaction is not done automatic. So I personally would not do a transaction which needs to be done fast. If you have a few days It's fine.

I will use their service again in future when they hopefully fixed the problem.

Did you forget to add the reference? Or used a wrong one? Then the receiver would not be able to find a payment because it is not attached to you.
You should maybe ask for a bank statement to check this and solve this with the recipient.

Once again sorry for the delay! We are working hard on the next version wich should be much simpeler, better and more options soon, and hope to add a fully automatised bank connection aswell.

It looks like there is a lot of risk to have your transaction stuck and then you’ll need to chase their support.

I got a transaction done on 12. december that still shows "paid (but unconfirmed) in the orderstatus page. It has been confirmed some hours later so its "hanging" as pending payment for ten days now.
I already messaged your support but did not get an answer till now.

I also have three orders stuck in status paid. I was told the IBAN was not correct however I checked it carefully. I can not see the last 4 digits at the orderstatus though. I sent the real IBAN by email but the orders show paid only. Does this mean that I paid or that the enduser has been paid? Before sending the IBAN by email again I checked it with a website IBAN checker and it passed.

The orders are 40923, 40926 and 40930.

Hopefully this can be fixed fast.

For the quickest support please contact info@bitbill.eu, all emails will be added to our global ticket system for faster solvation.

There are some bugs we founds regarding checked payments that will be automatized in the next version that we hope to release within a couple months.

On release of V2 we will add more support members to our team focused on bitbill only to make sure all issues are solved within 24 hours.

I can confirm that the support responding speed is not that great and sometimes their transfers keep „hanging“ unpaid for days. But in the end its paid!
So its not a scam... but the service was better in the past.

Since the “Waiting on payment” bug that appears if you do not finish payment keeps comming up we will push an update tommorow to solve this issue. There will be no downtime.

Thank you for your message. Nothing changed in our KYC/AML policy. We require more details (kyc) in some situations. And users that abuse our service will be blocked from the service, as we did from day one.

This was an old issue they had in their system. But this was fixed later! I remember this problem and can confirm the issue has been cleared. Contact their support and all will be fine!

This was an old issue they had in their system. But this was fixed later! I remember this problem and can confirm the issue has been cleared. Contact their support and all will be fine!
