I cannot open my wallet. I tried to restore my backup wallet.dat but I still get the same error. 2023-02-17 19:32:11 GUI: Qt has caught an exception thrown from an event handler. Throwing exceptions from an event handler is not supported in Qt. You must reimplement QApplication::notify() and catch all exceptions there.

Pool https://hodl.suprnova.cc/ is down so the hash rate is really low. I just started solo mining. If you are interested in solo mingin here's a show guide how to solo mine with hodlminer. -CAN I USE HODLMINER FOR SOLO MINING- Yes. You need to edit your hodlcoin.conf. Locate and if needed create hodlcoin.conf (default location C:\Users\username\AppData\Roaming\HOdlcoin\ short cut %appdata%\HOdlcoin\) and add lines: server=1 rpcuser=<rpc_user_name> rpcpassword=<random_rpc_password> rpcport=11989 rpcthreads=12 Choose your username and a strong passowrd. Set atleast two RPC threads per miner by using parameter 'rpcthreads'. Start your wallet (hodlcoin-qt) or hodlcoind and start hodlminer: hodlminer.exe -o http://127.0.0.1:11989/ -u <rpc_user_name> -p <random_rpc_password> -D --coinbase-addr=<your_public_wallet_address> By default wallet and hodlcoind accept connections from local host only. You can add allowed IPs by using parameter 'rpcallowip'. rpcallowip=<ip> Rpcallowip allow JSON-RPC connections from specified source. Valid for <ip> are a single IP (e.g. 1.2.3.4), a network/netmask (e.g. 1.2.3.4/255.255.255.0) or a network/CIDR (e.g. 1.2.3.4/24). This option can be specified multiple times. 0.0.0.0/0 will allow all addresses. If your local LAN uses eg. adresses 192.168.1.xxx, 192.168.1.0/24 will allow connections from all clients in your local LAN.

Not paying for egem since 15/4/2019. Scam or not?
Update:pirl.minerpool is abandoned. Nodes were not updated after the fork, so the pool is mining on a wrong chain. Coins are lost. "The pool admins disappeared and nobody know what happened. They are still online on their discord but with zero activity and they never reply."

|
|
A small change to the source code but worth of mentioning.
Increase OP_RETURN relay size to 5K This allows a Reddit style discussion platform on the HOdlcoin blockchain by allowing miners to include Memo style transactions of up to 5K by default.

Orava's Hodlminer 2018 v3I just build new Windows 64 bit binaries for Hodlminer. There's two changes to version 2. Download and test it: https://github.com/Orava2/hodlminer-binaryHodlminer 2018 v3 - NEW: Show block number, difficulty and stratum difficulty [2018-08-04 13:37:54] NEW BLOCK 488117, difficulty 0.004085, stratum difficulty 8.00 - NEW: New affinity parameter. --affinity=1 binds thread0 to cpu0, thread1 to cpu1 etc. --affinity=2 binds thread0 to cpu0, thread1 to cpu2, thread2 to cpu4, thread3 to cpu6 etc. This can be used to bind threads to only physical cores. Let us Hodl each other. Winter is Coming.Donate Hodlcoins: HVKYpa8D5iECgtFPC5Vwox6P68XZwCu7a9

It's looking good! Does anyone know which pools nicehash uses to aggreate their hasing power on ? I don't know, and want to buy a contract for hashing power on suprnova.cc, but they don't participate. Is there a current list of HODL mining pools up to date that don't 404? Suprnova should work. I tested it in last autum but I have seen very high hash rates in Suprnova in 2018. I'm pretty sure that those hash rates originated from NiceHash.

Remember that mining difficulty varies a lot so the calculator can under or over estimate the amount of coins you get. Luckily AmiT177 has a graph that shows the difficulty as a function of blocks. Your can try to estimate the average difficulty and use it in bitmakler.net's calculator. http://hodl.amit177.cf:1781/statsHere is an example how difficulty can vary.

Anyway - I have a question. I can see that the wallet allows solo mining, but if I want to use other machines on my local network to mine to my wallet, can I get stand-alone mining software and point them at the IP and port of my wallet, or do I just have to install the wallet on every machine and just mine locally to each machine's separate wallet.
-CAN I USE HODLMINER FOR SOLO MINING- http://hodlcoin.oo.fi:8080/notes/oravafaq.txtAVX2 miner is the fastest one but doesn't work if you CPU lacks AVX2 support. https://github.com/Orava2/hodlminer-binary

I fired up an old Hodlcoin wallet on my Windows7 laptop (32bit). After some time of snych I get the message No blocksource available ( I am not sure whether that would be the message in English as I get in German). On my Windows 10 PC the Hodlcoin wallet synchs without problem What is the reason, what do I have to change? Do you use the latest 3.01 version? It should find block sources. You can check -HOW TO ADD NODES IF WALLET DOESN'T FIND BLOCK SOURCES- http://hodlcoin.oo.fi:8080/notes/oravafaq.txt

Newcomer here, hi I have installed the wallet and it is taking forever to sync... expected. Question, is there a downloadable blockchain.dat to speed up the process? Thank you Yes. Here http://hodlcoin.oo.fi:8080/blocks/2018-01-04/ .
