1  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why Bitcoin isn't a legit currency. on: August 02, 2018, 10:05:42 PM
Maybe the volatility of bitcoin becomes one of the reasons why it isn't considered as a legit currency. However it fepends on the country, some countries already have, some are still in the process, some deny it completely, because it doesn't make sense for a poor country.
2  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Can Cryptocurrency Stand Without Bitcoin? on: August 02, 2018, 09:55:16 PM
For now the truth is most altcoins are pegged to Bitcoin. If the Bitcoin price is going up rapidly, then people holding altcoins will probably sell them in order to move their money to Bitcoin and ride that wave. This means – in turn – that the price of altcoins probably will go down when the price of Bitcoin goes up rapidly. However, the price of altcoins will most likely also go down when the price of Bitcoin goes down, as the holders of altcoins then exit such altcoins to go back into fiat. Accordingly, if Bitcoins value would depreciate and go down to zero, that would presumably also be the case for other coins.
3  Economy / Speculation / Re: Does positive news have any impact in bitcoin price on: August 02, 2018, 09:46:26 PM
In my view,  both media influence  and manipulation affect the bitcoin. A positive media sentiment is desired for an upward price trend,  and the local retail brokers who manipulate the price of bitcoin.
4  Economy / Speculation / Re: what could cause bitcoin prices to go up and down? on: August 02, 2018, 06:12:15 PM
The media can influence the bitcoin price significantly. Media hype can easily lead to an increase in the price, while negative news can lead to a decline in the price. Besides the price of bitcoins is largely depended on the demand and supply. This means that high demand and low supply often leads to an increase in the price.
5  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Samsung To Accept Cryptocurrencies As Payments- Good or Bad? on: July 27, 2018, 11:23:38 PM
It's a good news. It proves that cryptocurrency has been used widely and will get more popular. People will start to like and to understand more about cryptocurrency. I believe accepting Crypto payments could drastically minimize the transactions fees as the Crypto exchanges usually charge as less than 1% as the transaction fee for a transaction.
6  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Are you surprised at the price of ETH? on: July 27, 2018, 11:06:02 PM
A little bit surprised,  but I believe ethereum price is going to reach the same price as the previous year. I think 1 Ethereum token will be anywhere between 2,000–5,000USD by late 2018 with the current circulation supply. In comparison to Bitcoin, Ethereum has had over a 5000% increase over the past year & Bitcoin has had around 1100% increase.
7  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Top 3 Cryptos for 2018 on: July 27, 2018, 10:04:01 PM
1. Ethereum: The de-facto platform for smart contract applications and subsequently the second largest cryptocurrency based off market-cap.
2. Neo: Similar platform for applications such as Ethereum however is targeted towards the Asian market and has significant ICO’s already in the works for 2018.
3. Cardano: This is a long term hold. Cardano can be viewed as a third generation cryptocurrency with first being Bitcoin and second being Ethereum.
8  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: WHAT IS FUD on: July 27, 2018, 10:02:13 PM
Totally right. FUD is fear, uncertainty, doubt. It is a disinformation strategy used to alter perception. It has been used in many instances that have nothing to do with crypto, but it is used very often by the powers that be when discussing crypto.
9  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ripple vs Ethereum on: July 27, 2018, 09:59:58 PM
Ethereum is better than ripple. Ethereum has a much broader use-case that covers a plethora of industries while Ripple is fairly narrow. Ripple also has a highly centralized supply of XRP which could cause future price suppression. on top of that, the institutions using Ripple aren’t required to use XRP. Therefore, the cryptocurrency inherently has less value.
10  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Ethereum is the King of ICO, Do you agree? on: July 27, 2018, 07:36:19 PM
Yes, I do. The ICO explosion of the past year can be mostly attributed to the growth of the Ethereum blockchain, and the ease with which Ethereum permits the creation of new coins. Many startups have raised millions of dollars on Ethereum. There are a few problems with the Bitcoin blockchain that make it a poor choice for ICOs. One of them is it doesn’t support programming loops. This is a problem when it comes to implementing ICOs because loops are what allow programmers to verify and recalculate information.
11  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How long should one have to wait to sell on: July 27, 2018, 05:49:41 PM
The highest price of bitcoin is unpredictable. As long as you could still be patient to wait,  then just don't sell your coins. I believe there will be a time for bitcoin and altcoins to rise back this year, but I'm not sure in which month of this year. Just wait.
12  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: holding and prices will go up ? on: July 27, 2018, 05:41:36 PM
Certainly. Hodling is a tactic that worked well when Bitcoin was a pimple sized market. Hodling guarantees that you will eventually see less than 10%, and probably 1–2% of your greatest “paper wealth”. The crypto market of today isn’t anything like what it was like before so you can’t really rely on past behaviour.
13  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Future of cryptocurrency this 2018 on: July 27, 2018, 05:28:09 PM
Price prediction are void. Bitcoin and altcoins will be very volatile. 2018 will be deciding year for lots of crypto tokens.I see lot of shift among people's opinion regarding ICOs.Unlike before where all ICOs were hit 2018 will give tough times for scam ICOs. And I think many govt regulations will come up for greater good of investers security and stronger taxation rules.
14  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How are tokens in bounty campaign paid? on: July 26, 2018, 09:08:34 PM
They would pay based on the required wallet which later you should give your wallet address (it could be ethereum,  wave,  or stellar) . The payment will be distributed at least 30 days after the end of the campaign. After you get your tokens,  you could to an exchange where the tokens listed, then you could sell them there. It's advisable to sell yours in a big exchange.
15  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why KYC is important? on: July 26, 2018, 08:49:10 PM
KYC is a kind of security check which is asking for your identity proof. The main reason why it's important is to prevent from being used, intentionally or unintentionally, by criminal elements for money laundering activities. Besides it enable the institutions to better understand their customers and their financial dealings. This helps them manage their risks prudently.
16  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Does participating from an airdrop got you big rewards? on: July 26, 2018, 08:41:12 PM
Unfortunately,  it doesn't. It's true that airdrop rewards are just a little amount, or it could worthless sometimes. It's not a good idea to count income on airdrops. You'd better join in bounty campaigns which are more profitable and offer bigger reward.
17  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Samsung start to accept Bitcoin on 3 countries on: July 26, 2018, 07:39:28 PM
It's a good news. It could make bitcoin getting popular and accepted more widely. In addition, it could make bitcoin price increases after its decrease. I think it  could be a mainstream for other companies to follow its step.
18  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Uneducated people join Cryptocurrency? on: July 26, 2018, 07:26:16 PM
What do you mean by uneducated people? Don't go to higher school? or Have no title? Personally,  as long as those people like reading a lot, they could get into crypto world because what I  believe is by reading a lot you can see the world. Joining in crypto isn't necessarily to be educated first.
19  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How safe is our money in crypto? on: July 26, 2018, 07:19:34 PM
It's not safe enough to put money in cryptocurrency. Thus we need to be extremely careful to keep our wallet safe. However as long as we can keep our private key or password secretly,  and not let anybody knows that, I think it's more guaranteed.
20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: RIPPLE OR LITECOIN on: July 26, 2018, 07:01:25 PM
Both is good. But if ur looking for an increase of value to hundreds of dollars by the end of the year, go with Litecoin. Ripple is mostly a long term thing. Besides Litecoin has the second most secure blockchain, next to Bitcoin. It’s almost identical to Bitcoin, so any trust and adoption rate of Bitcoin should bleed over to Litecoin.
