I just came across the weirdest thing. In the eMusic ICO telegram community,
there is some sort of a ‘bouncer bot’, blocking U.S. citizens from participating in the discussion.
This is the first time I see this kind of thing.. can anyone explain what is all about?
well if they can't comply with SEC, it might be reasonable for them not to allow US tekegram users to join the group, especially if they're US based project, i would be quite concerned either |

this year there seem to be no winner in terms of prices, but the progress is there, especially in etehreum network, which is great. I don't think we need to compare these two projects though

Hackers are very much active to cheat the bounty hunters / ICOs . Millions of fake twitter accounts have been infiltrated. All efforts being done by hackers to spam the official twitter accounts of crypto business and impersonating crypto personalities. More than 15000 exclusive hacker's accounts were traced by the agency involved in research. Following is the link based on study and research by "Duo Security". Now, Cisco (csco, +5.04%) has exposed the thieves behind a string of particularly flagrant attacks.
A Ukrainian hacker group dubbed Coinhoarder has stolen more than $50 million in cryptocurrency from users of Blockchain.info, one of the most popular providers of digital currency wallets, according to a report published Wednesday by Cisco’s Talos cybersecurity team.
The report explains how thieves preyed upon their victims using a “very simple” yet treacherous technique: Buying Google ads on popular search keywords related to cryptocurrency “to poison user search results” and snatch the contents of crypto wallets. This meant people Googling terms like “blockchain” or “bitcoin wallet,” saw links to malicious websites masquerading as legitimate domains for Blockchain.info wallets.
For example, the poison ads included “spoofed” links with small types like “blokchien.info/wallet” and “block-clain.info,” which sent visitors to a landing page that mirrored actual websites of the company Blockchain, which runs both the domains Blockchain.info and blockchain.com. (The legitimate sites appeared lower in results than the “poisoned” links, according to Cisco’s report.)
Fooled into believing they had come to the right place, victims then entered private information that allowed the hackers to gain access to their actual wallets and take their digital money. “The attackers needed only to continue purchasing Google AdWords to ensure a steady stream of victims,” the Talos team led by Jeremiah O’Connor and Dave Maynor said in their report.
Blockchain, for its part, is working with Google “on a daily basis” to take down phishing ads, and secured the removal of almost 10,000 such malicious websites last year, along with another 3,000 it flagged in January alone, according to Blockchain CEO and co-founder Peter Smith. The solution to this is not using Google to navigate. If you already have an account at blockchain.info or an exchange, BOOKMARK the url and go straight to that instead of googling the exchange name. yeah i noticed the majority of google ads with certain keywords give out the fake phishing links. It's really annoying and dangerous especially for noobs who have no experience. |

Although there are a few countries who uses bitcoins and other cryptocurrencies now, I cannot help but wonder if the world is truly ready for this digital currency? It will certainly be hard to replace all currencies in the world but it could happen in a decade or so, perhaps even less? Still the question is, is the world ready? I think if this happens it might be one of the biggest changes that will happen worldwide.
it wouldn't be a seamless transition, therefore it shouldn't happen overnight. I see it as a long term process of getting back the power back from the governments to the hands of ordinary people |

Bitcoin is a digital currency that is decentralized with no regulatory control. Over the years a number of Bitcoin ATM boot have sprang up in some developed and emerging economies. Since bitcoin is a digital currency I don't understand the rationale behind the creation of bitcoin ATM with so many crypto exchanges around the globe.
Now which organisation is responsible for the setup of this ATM machine? What is the benefits of having a bitcoin ATM in Nigeria?
it makes perfect sense. It is easier for local people to purchase bitcoin for cash this way, rather than going online trying to buy on exchange for the currency that might not be acceptable, not speaking of KYC |

You can not know for sure. But we can make the assumption that in the future this technology will be used everywhere, and so the price of bitcoin will be higher. Just need to invest the money that you don't mind losing, if bitcoin falls
bitcoin adoption has nothing to do with its price in terms of spending. I mean the higher it goes, less people want to spend it. If the prices weren't to grow, people would be more willing to pay with it |

there is no harming bitcoin. Bitcoin is a bunch of code, nothing more than that. People who are emotionally attached, they can possibly can hurt, but that's not hurting cryptocurrency... |

I expect might happen in the future is change is inevitable so maybe there may be changes about bitcoin in the future. It could be the value of money or changes of some rules.

I am very curious on why the American public has not insisted that a full audit must be done on the actual Gold that are stored in Fort Knox and other secure places in America. They blindly accept that there are lots of Gold stored in the vaults in Fort Knox and all over America. The government has no right to withhold that information, but the public is not demanding it.
Why?
1. They know that if this is true, their economy will PROBABLY collapse?
2. They are scared of their government?
3. They are just ignorant?
4. They simply do not care about this?
Why would the government go to that much trouble to hide this information from the public, if they had nothing to hide?
What do you think will happen, once the truth about this is revealed and how will this impact Bitcoin?

I came across a quote made by someone on this forum which goes like,'An open mind is one of the best assets when it come to cryptocurrency'.
This quote got me thinking, to make bitcoin (cryptocurrency) grow everyday in relation to clearing all misconceptions people have, we need to share our little knowledge about bitcoin on this forum. Sharing of knowledge will create an atmosphere for people to be open minded and also help newbie investors to understand the crypto world and the market. I realized there is quite a great number of very helpful people and resources on this forum.

Hi, I am new when it comes to crypto currency I been reeaserch it and I have couple of friends that are into mining bitcoin. I just looking to make extra money on side from a full time job. I really don’t care if it’s $20 to $200. I don’t know really to first start looking or if it’s slim picking when it comes to bitcoin jobs. I don’t really have laptop to start mining but I do have bitcoin wallet. I hoping that my investment might help pay for laptop to start mining and continue to grow.
I don't think you will make extra money mining bitcoin, definitely not on your laptop. Bitcoin wallet can be created in no time, there is nothing special about it, not a competitive advantage. |

it's still pretty small market for now, but maybe it's enough for them. Once the crypto adoption grows enough, there surely will be space for devices like this. I have heard many bitcoin phone attempts by now |
