1  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Velox Project [VLX] - Old thread on: October 15, 2018, 09:39:27 AM
This thread is now closed and has been moved to https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5050552.0

Reason: Velox is now an ERC-20 Token. This thread was originally for the moderated discussion of the project pre-whitepaper & during the POW/POS phase. The new thread is no longer moderated and is attended to by the entire team.

If members give a good enough reason to be an upgrade member and display no real signs of untrustworthiness, why not?

This is not "look at me, look at me" in the slightest. If that's the way you wish to perceive it, that is no more than your own train of thought. The motive behind this thread is an example of the repercussions of treating bitcointalk members who are upstanding, follow the rules and mind their own business...like crap. The forum is slowly heading toward a centralized, pyramid style community, and in my eyes based on the beliefs I've been pushing since I joined here, it's atrocious. I personally do not want any involvement in that, so I am giving members who deserve a shot at being a ranked member the chance to do so.
Also I am suspicious of your sudden altruistic gesture as I think it is a butthurt reaction to getting caught and tagged for meriting shitposts in an effort to up-rank the demoted newbies that were shills in your ANN thread.

Sudden? Are you aware of the project I have been operating over the last year?
If not, do some reading instead of wasting your time posting garbage like this.

Yes- "sudden altruistic gesture". You haven't touched merit before the 17th of September 2018.

You also sound familiar. Did I previously talk to one of your alts ?
You also sound deluded.

Because thats humanly possible  Roll Eyes

This is my last post. The accusations on my profile are extremely laughable, so much so that some of the accusations there are blatant lies with absolutley zero concrete evidence...What has happened here is no more than dictatorship, there's not much else to say other than that. After building a web of over 2000 people sharing common values through the velox project, I can safely say that this definitely wont be the last time you hear from me... but the next time you do it wont be from this forum Smiley

I give one last request. Give negative trust to every single one of those accounts. You will see the outrage from innocent users shortly after.

Good luck to this forum and its future.
4  Economy / Reputation / Re: This account is not compromised and is not 'abusing the merit system' on: September 19, 2018, 02:01:45 AM
You don't think that my posting quality has improved at all since those posts?

You memory seems to have deteriorated though:

I never had the need to publicly do business nor enough to show everyone how many bitcoins I have or tie an address to my account.

Post a message signed with this address:

Btc address: 1BgbrQVTn7Z1AApimu7PzqK2Tk9CtwtXGo

My comment stands. Just because you dug an address from 2 years ago does not mean I still have access to it nor does that at all prove I ever did business here. My email was changed a week ago, my project started a year ago, this post is almost 2 years old. You do the math logical thinking.
I will make it clear in case you aren't capable...(shows whos in power here)
Don't you think if I purchased this account a year ago, my email would have been changed a year ago or this account would have been flagged anywhere in the last 12 months?

This is all about meritting users in my thread, and it's now gone to a bunch of high ranking members accusing the account being hacked/stolen and the 5500 posts over almost 300 days has been completely paid for, and faked.

Sounds completely legitimate.

As I said to another user, this means nothing to me and you can give as many negative reputations as you wish, you are only damaging bitcointalks image...not mine.

Come on. You really need to take that blindfold off.

Just want to say thank you for giving me merits @lin0sspice and @The Pharmacist.
You shouldn't have to say thank you for a privilege you should already have.
8  Economy / Reputation / Re: This account is not compromised and is not 'abusing the merit system' on: September 18, 2018, 07:20:54 PM
I can say that your account used to be mine to, does that mean it was?
Welp, you can do/say whatever you please.

Anyway, was just comparing posts from 2014 and today. I have to admit that writing style, vocabulary and grammar does not match up. It's like day and night.
I'm surprised you see day and night with that blindfold on.
9  Economy / Reputation / Re: This account is not compromised and is not 'abusing the merit system' on: September 18, 2018, 05:26:16 PM
We always condone our members to promote and post in our communities, as you can see by the thousands of responses, but that does not mean we employ people to post. We incentivize them to, to support the project, but we do not condone any rule breaking.

You merited a bunch of shitposts. You're literally encouraging rule-breaking posts, even if we ignore the fact that those accounts mysteriously woke up to bump your thread. You're also breaking the rules yourself, even in this thread.

And yes, a 300-page thread being bumped with said shitposts is very likely employing people (or bots) to do that. You can quit this righteous indignation drama, it's not working.
Very sophisticated bots...don't you think?
Condoning shit posting? Get your priorities in check. Condoning shit posting has got to be one of the lousiest excuses for a negative trust rating I have ever heard.
You can quit the dramatic & condescending final closing sentence, it doesn't make your point correct.
10  Economy / Reputation / Re: This account is not compromised and is not 'abusing the merit system' on: September 18, 2018, 05:25:18 PM

My project has been standing since 2017, and recently I had changed the email from my gmail account over to the official project email for enhanced security, lin0sspice@veloxproject.io.
Here you confirm that your Gmail is not secure enough but this is not a solid reason to change an email you used since 2013 even the account is related to your project.

You don't have to have a "solid reason" to change your email address..
An email address change is just a clue that an account may have changed hands but itself in not proof of anything..

You didn't find any staked address because I never had the need to publicly do business nor enough to show everyone how many bitcoins I have or tie an address to my account. If you can see, my project is about anonymity and decentralization, doing exactly what you just said would almost be a complete contradiction to my beliefs.

You have never posted a single address that you control the keys too? Even an altcoin address? If you could find one and prove you still control it it could go a long way to help you out..

Posting a staked address is not anti-anonymity.. The address can be completely empty and unused, linked to no identity other than your online identity that you would like to secure..

Even a shitcoin address you posted long ago that you can sign? Anything? A PGP public key?

If you would like me to, I'll post a staked message of an empty address to 'tickle your fancy' when someone throws a compromised account accusation at me in the future.

Hell yes, everyone should post a staked address. The earlier the better.. Newbies should post staked addresses..
Don't you see how many accusations of account hacks and actual account hacks happen around here?
You need a staked address to protect yourself from scammers, and to protect the forum from scammers..

You can also use it to prove your identity between different platforms... So if you are on telegram or some other forum you can PROVE that you are THE REAL lin0sspice and not an impostor.. Impostors happen ALL THE TIME..

There is only one @veloxcoin and always will be. I still have no need and never will have a need to stake an address. I don't do business here, I own one project and one project only and have for one year. This is the first time I've ventured out of the altcoin section for a long time.
11  Economy / Reputation / Re: This account is not compromised and is not 'abusing the merit system' on: September 18, 2018, 05:24:28 PM
There are also reports that this account was compromised back in 2015.  see Page 230

I can verify that the oringinal lin0spice is Pho. I've know him from 2014 when we were trading saffroncoin. If you have the patience, scroll through my older posts and youll see it all there. Someone got hold of his bitcointalk account since it probably had been inactive with legendary status and looked more appealing for this scam of a shitcoin theyre trying to sell you.
https://twitter.com/Cryptovestments/status/1000153196684300288

So do you mean to say that his account has been compromised or something? And this project may not be legit? Cause that changes a lot of things

Yes , i did not here to fud but lin0sspice was my account and got hack since 2015
Everything should be for this scam ico.
Ao watch out.
My reputation is legendary status that is why .

I can say that your account used to be mine to, does that mean it was?
12  Other / Off-topic / Re: A generous act, who wants some merit? on: September 18, 2018, 04:31:51 PM
This is a good thing you do. I do not ask for merit, just want to say that it is good when high rank members think of how difficult it is now to get high ranks in this forum an take action.
That would be called imperialism, a form of centralization!
13  Other / Off-topic / Re: A generous act, who wants some merit? on: September 18, 2018, 04:31:15 PM
I wonder, buy a account with Member or higher rank is a good idea?
Just when account sales became under control...
@The Pharmacist as of the merit update, it seems you will be up for a lot more work. Good luck my friend.
The new merit system is a "newbies-racist system". Everyone look at me like a "merit hunter in covetousness"
That's all my opinion.
Newbies are not a race.

You never took it off Smiley

Let's not be naive here.
Looks like mass grave excavation, all these accounts recently woke up from a long 7 month period of inactivity.
OP about to bring back to life 69 more zombies.

Hi, I'm meriting all NON-NEGATIVE trust rated members. I will give you 1 merit if you give me a very good reason for me to give you one.

I currently have 69 spendable merits left. If you believe you have been wrong-done by the new merit rules and the higher powered individuals determining who is trustworthy and who is not via merit, post here.

You must provide a good reason why your account deserves to be ranked up. I will not rank up:
- shitposters
- scammers
- spammers
- anyone else who is widely believed to be legitimately untrustworthy

Okay, I will stand up not just for merit (not hypocrite I want to earn merit) but because I believe that I deserve to be rank as jr. member.
I'm not shitposter. Certainly not scammer. I'm not spammer. I'm trustworthy and have no plan to do anything stupid on this forum or in anywhere else...BUT I'm a bounty hunter and many think less of people like me and most thinking we're just shitting on BTT forum even though some of us trying to do good and contribute in our own way.

Do you:
- Believe in the core values of bitcoin in which this forum was founded upon?

Yes, I do. This forum is for people interested in bitcoin and want to learn;to speak freely and be able to hear from other people with same interest  about bitcoin and blockchain.

Quote from: lin0sspice
- Facts should be taken into account when determining someones trust rating?

I agree. Every forum have spammer and shitposter, so why not just give them negative rating and when they reach the max negative rating they will be banned. Not just demolished and  demoted to newbie all those without merit.

Quote from: lin0sspice
- Believe that there dictatorship is wrong and unfair on less powerful members of the forum?

Okay, I'm sorry I disagree with the word dictatorship but let's just say that this forum like blockchain and the idea behind bitcoin should be decentralized and egalitarian. All are fair and equal. Those with merit shouldn't be treated better it's like government official have more say than those private citizen or like financial institution monopolized economy.

I agree, I'm not good in conveying my thoughts and I only comment to those subject I know which those in higher ranks may not find interesting but hey I'm following rules and I think I deserve more than a newbie rank because I already earned the jr member rank.

2 merits. A lot of effort went into that post, merit deserved. I hope that you serve as a good member on the forum.

Hi, I'm meriting all NON-NEGATIVE trust rated members....

So you are saying I have no right to get merits (I have two red trust FYI) on my posts even if I create good posts? May be you are right or...?

http://loycevsbasement.privatedns.org/Merit/history/1432468.html

I and other few members always consider merit should not have anything to do with trust by the way. Merit should be awarded to posts which worth receiving merit.
You're an anomaly. Good to see you embracing it.
19  Other / Off-topic / Re: A generous act, who wants some merit? on: September 18, 2018, 03:31:12 PM
deeming people untrustworthy with quite literally no factual evidence other than some account links is absurdity.
No, it doesn't have anything to do with trust.  It has to do with the privilege of being able to use signature space for advertising, which has been woefully abused--especially by Jr. Members.  I don't know what sections of the forum you frequent, but take a look at Bitcoin/Altcoin Discussion and you'll see that it's unreadable because of all the signature spammers there.  There's an epidemic of people being referred to bitcointalk as a place of employment, and thus a lot of noobs generally have nothing to add.  They just crank out generic posts, and many of those are even plagiarized.

If you help noobs to rank up to Jr. Member and they really don't deserve it, you're not helping things here.  It's not that they're untrustworthy, it's that they're incentivized to crank out garbage.

You're free to do with your sMerits as you see fit.  I'm just advising you not to make things worse here out of some sense of perceived injustice.  This isn't a conspiracy.  It's a real problem.
I was negative trusted for awarding contributing members to my thread. These members turned out to be spammers, I was unaware...as a project owner, I don't really give a damn about who posts in my thread, I care about what they post. This now deems me untrustworthy in the eyes of those who have the power to deem me untrustworthy.

Fair? Definitely not.
Decentralized? Hardly!
Is it responsibility to moderate this forum as a project owner? Definitely not.

It takes two to tango.

Does this post deserve get merit?
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5031688
I'm not sure if you're joking or not. I hope you are. This is no more than a scrapbook of links put together in the obvious attempt to get merit and does not share any of the values I specified in the OP.

In fact, I am sure you will be hearing a lot more from our community soon.

More threats !!

I hope we don't hear from your upranked spammers. I won't be hearing from you, as I have put you on ignore in case i accidentally give you a merit, and thus support your actions.
Threats? Explain
