I apologise for the lack of updates; it has been a hectic week for various reasons, most of them personal, and I had to take a step back and leave the running of affairs in the hands of the rest of the team. I'm only posting a quick update from my mobile phone as I am currently abroad. One of the Dev members has managed to contact a local programmer who is interested in the project, and the main topic was multi-algo. It is possible to fork Muniti into a coin which would utilise X13, SHA-256, sCrypt, Blake and Groestl. This would make it resistant against 51% attacks which are threatening BTC and also disallow the monopoly of ASICs, as each of the 5 algorithms would have an equal share on the net hashrate. The implementation of multi-algo however remains dependent on the value of MUN once the first phase of D2D has ended. We're currently several thousands of Euro out of pocket and while that was to be expected, it's certainly no fun. I'll update the topic title and ask one of the members to issue the multi-algo news on Twitter and on the website.

I meant than inflation (MYR and USDE) is going up, but volume is not rising - that price will down.
Volume (capitalization) will grow every time, when devs make some innovations like new wallets (SMS), feautures (MAMMPS) and other interesting things. We are waiting for it. But, if they won't do it, the volume will decay... doesnt necessarily have to always be a dev that can make the price go up. anyone who has some free time and wants the coin to succeed can contribute somehow even if it is not a coded extension of the coin itself. as we have seen from DOGE the community makes the larger difference on many fronts. that. Isn't that the truth.

If anonymity is going to be implemented through the exchanges, doesn't the fact still stand that once you exchange CLOAKs for other currencies, such as BTC, anonymity is lost since they don't have the same mechanism implemented? In short - anonymity will only work if it's a CLOAK-CLOAK transfer. Normally you use exchanges to... err... exchange one crypto for another. Of course, I stand to be corrected.

The "other" premine wasn't really a premine at all. The chain was soft-launched between a few people, and spread quietly for a few days (~6) before being announced here and elsewhere just before/around the block 8000 fork.
WHAT? This coin was announced here 20 days before launch. Ok, re-announced here, I guess. :-) Are you a troll? Everyone can just read beginning of this thread to understand that what you are saying is a complete nonsense. Sold the premine yet?

If he abandoned MYR i want to know, i can get one other developer involved..
He did not abandon the project, far from it. He did post a couple of pages back. However, if you do know of a competent person who can give the Dev a helping hand, by all means - why not?

Is the dev back from his trip ?
Depends on the dose of shrooms

The wallet will stop syncing when a PoS block is found, always happened to me and requires to backup wallet.dat, delete, restart + resync, place back wallet.dat.
do you mean restart the wallet or restart PC? i really confused right now Restart the wallet only

samsung pro can sync pretty fast any client, i usually sync in 5 mins 24 hours behind
Agree, its what I use. I have several of them. Same here. Better still, a RAM disk would be handy if you have enough space on your RAM.

Can someone correct the word "revealed" in the thread title? Looks unprofessional to have such an obvious spelling mistake

We're encountering slight problems with the heatwave currently passing over the Maltese islands, forcing our team to take frequent breaks because of the sun. We also bought some cooling bags and water for the team; fortunately it is a bit breezy today so that makes things a bit easier. News will be sparse in the upcoming week as we will be mainly out on the streets.

Worst case scenario is that the players would have to control bots as they become accessible to the average/normal players, hence you can have pre-set commands etc.
I'm not sure what you mean. To me Huntercoin has made clear that in a blockchain game you should have a built-in bot-making ability with very flexible scripting system. That way it will stay human mineable, only the emphasis of the game moves to devising and implementing various bot strategies. You understood me perfectly then That's what I was trying to say

Unbelievable. /u/meat_body_soul is one of the kindest hearts you'll come across.
I can believe it. I can also believe that he's extraordinarily talented. My hope is that he's also very business smart and that he doesn't confuse charity with giving away the crown jewels. He's worked, you all have worked, very hard (I'm very impressed with the "team" and community as well) and I hope you don't give it all away for free - or even for a fee. I've heard another dev from a competitor coin saying that they plan to do an algo change to something similar to Myriad and that "they're looking forward to working with the Myriad team".I sure hope that's not true (or simply wishful thinking/hype on their part). If someone wants to imitate or copy, make them do it on their own! In the final analysis, I think we'll be able to count the survivors on the fingers of one hand, and it would be much more than a shame to be eliminated from that short list by someone you helped. This is a DOGE eat DOGE world, and if you want to be able to help others and survive to do it again tomorrow, you have to know who you can help, and who you can't, and, sometimes, you have to say no. Digibyte and Dvorakcoin will/are using multi-algos as well. I do not think MYR has anything to worry about at this point, as long as the website gets finished by next week and a fresh marketing effort is made in order to promote the upcoming projects. DRK took off after several other coins started using X11

I truly hope this will always be human mineable. Asics overtook Bitcoin mining 6 digit USD required for a bite GPU rigs overtook almost all alts i'd say 4 digit USD required CPU coins basically do not exist big time so if you can manage that bots do not overtake HUC and it will really stay human mineable that would be awesome. Even though I can't fully figure out what your "mission statement" on this is. You play with real money. The game itself is less game and more grind. I'm interested in how this develops and hopefully I can try soon Worst case scenario is that the players would have to control bots as they become accessible to the average/normal players, hence you can have pre-set commands etc.

There was another guy, apart from Bitcoin_Mafia who had all of his details stolen thanks to someone who hacked his password. Upon explaining, it turned out he had downloaded the Honorcoin wallet as well. Shame on whoever developed this virus for spreading malicious software with the excuse of trying to help the cryptoworld grow. Disgusting.

Yeah, I got that one too and actually DL the damn zip before I came to my senses. Running a full on virus scan now Did you use the same pw for the Hirocoin registration as your account here? Tell the truth now Sigh... yes. And I *know* better. GAH. What a clusterf*ck this has become. Another guy got his whole PC hacked thanks to the Honorcoin scam, and had all of his details stolen including sensitive data.

^ and never ever close the wallet again or the whole drama starts again omg
It's best if you visit us back in 2-3 weeks' time. This problem unfortunately has kept a lot of new people away, and it should be fixed pretty soon. Patience is a virtue

Ok so someone got me interested in Huntercoin even though pretty much everyone tells me to stay away from it for various reasons. Now I am willing to try, but it will not ever sync....
I've downloaded the partial blockchain from mega (which took forever because this mega crap crashed all the time, I'd recommend a normal ftp or whatever..) but it always has 3 weeks left!!
A new week has passed before I can download a single one. And I run this system 24/7!
Any ideas? The coin is totally useless in this state.
Will using this Mithril client help me or do I have to download the whole frickin blockchain again?
You guys need to work on communication flow for real..
The dev is working on reducing the size of the blockchain as it is the most pressing issue. The best bet to get the wallet synced is either to run it on an SSD or better still on a RAM drive.

Whats going on guys, i am buying like mad but im not getting any support from the 'clowns' I need some help at mintpal to keep it above 300.. come on.. Best let the course of the coin take its own way, artificially keeping the value up does more harm than good
