1  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [AUCTION] CASASCIUS 25 BTC, no hologram, excellent condition on: April 10, 2018, 12:01:08 AM
Funds received, thank you.

I'm guessing the hacker lost the access to my forum account at some point. He then created user 'mxrider1' and tried to convince monkeynuts that the original account was hacked/locked.

Some PMs from the hacker 'mxrider1' to monkeynuts:

Hello monkeynuts
Im MXRider i 've lost my account password due to a fucking virus that crypted all my files including my wallets please dont release any bitcoins until i get back to my account.
This is urgent please reply to me.
Thank you.

and another one:

Np you can verify that im MXRider:
1) I've asked you to change my btc address to an offline address cause online wallets are not safe and it was ending (as i remember) with: Muu
2) You told me in your last msg : Confirming address ....
3) I've sent you a msg asking you if IOTA Support really used you as an escrow and than you replied to me with an apologize cause you didn't include me in your escrow msg.
4) IOTA Support made a wrong calculation of the escrow amount and than after my correction he said i agree to the price.
Lets me know if this is enough lol Cheesy
Also please accept my apologies monkeynuts i will make sure to send u a tip after all this ends.
Cheers

Info on the second message actually checks out. He has read my PM's and apparently had access to my account at some point around April 3rd.

If you received a message from me just asking for a payment (no other info on the message), do not make the payment. I always send the tracking code/info about shipping on the same message with my btc address.

Anyway, the redeemed 25btc coin has been sold and all ended well. The scams have come quite a long way from 2012-2013, when I was active at the forum. Big thanks to monkeynuts for professional escrow services. I would definitely recommend!

2  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [AUCTION] CASASCIUS 25 BTC, no hologram, excellent condition on: April 09, 2018, 08:38:23 PM
It seems that my forum account has been compromised.

Someone sent a PM from my account to monkeynuts saying that release address for the funds would need to be changed. I checked my PM outbox but the hacker must have deleted all the relevant sent PMs. The hacker then created a new account mxrider1 to handle all the future communications and claimed that my original account (the one I’m posting from at the moment) has been locked.

I’ll publish all the PMs from the hacker later. One can clearly see that the language used is different from my  previous messages  and communications.

At this point it’s still a bit unclear how this happened. I’ll post more info when and if I get any.

Thank you monkeynuts for escrowing the deal and not releasing the funds to other than the original address that I gave with the tracking code.

The coin has been shipped and delivered. I'm currently waiting monkeynuts to release the funds from escrow.
4  Economy / Collectibles / Re: 2011 Casascius BTC Series 2 Peeled on: March 31, 2018, 03:50:23 PM
These are not 2011, but from 2012. Are they actually worth something?

I would be happy to get rid of them Smiley

I'll offer 0.01 on a peeled Cas, PM me if you're interested.

Thank you for the offer. Unfortunately that's too low. I received quite a few PM's regarding the coins. Several people are ready to pay 0.02-0.025 btc/coin. I guess I'll try to divide these coins equally between everyone.
5  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [AUCTION] CASASCIUS 25 BTC, no hologram, excellent condition on: March 31, 2018, 02:36:58 PM
If it's ok for everyone, I'll change the min bid increment to 0.01 btc.

Picture of four empty 1btc casascius coins from 2012.

I'll include one of those with the 25btc coin.

I've received couple of PM's regarding the coin. I've replied to everyone but it seems that some did not get my reply. So if you are waiting for an reply from me, please send another PM and I'll reply again  Smiley

9  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [AUCTION] CASASCIUS 25 BTC, no hologram, excellent condition on: March 27, 2018, 06:55:17 PM
Ill bid 0.4 BTC for it  Grin

Thank you.

If you happen to win, I'm actually flying to US next week. It should be much easier to ship the coin within US, I guess?

10  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [AUCTION] CASASCIUS 25 BTC, no hologram, excellent condition on: March 25, 2018, 08:02:09 AM
Here is one without holo sold for 0.7 BTC although the condition was not as good.
https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=3073418.0

I think 1.5 BTC is a bit excessive for an empty coin Smiley Even back in 2016.

11  Economy / Collectibles / Re: [AUCTION] CASASCIUS 25 BTC, no hologram, excellent condition on: March 24, 2018, 08:48:13 PM
I've kept the coin in a closed coin box for all these years.

Unfortunately I do not have the hologram anymore. Even if I did, I probably wouldn't include it. My real identity can easily be solved so I don't want my bitcoins or trades with bitcoins to be tracked. But that's just an excuse, I got rid of the hologram when I emptied the coin.

12  Economy / Collectibles / [AUCTION] CASASCIUS 25 BTC, no hologram, excellent condition on: March 24, 2018, 05:10:45 PM
One empty 25 btc Casascius for sale. Pricing seems quite difficult, hence the auction format.

I'd say the coin is in excellent condition. There are no scuff marks or scratches.

Hologram has been peeled and the coin emptied by me. The hologram does not come with the coin. I've had the coin since 2012. You can actually see some glue marks on the back of the coin if you look closely.

If you want more pics, feel free to send me a PM.

Starting price 0.4 BTC.
Increments 0.05 BTC

Auction ends 31st March 18:00 UTC.

Coin is located in Finland. Buyer pays for shipping, buyer pays for escrow.

13  Economy / Computer hardware / [WTB] EU: Butterflylabs original ASIC miners, Jalapeno and Single on: October 12, 2016, 12:24:14 PM
Hi,

For novelty reasons: looking for a BFL Jalapeno or BFL Single. Jalapeno preferably.

I'm in EU. I hope the ASIC would be in EU as well.

14  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Least reliable company? on: November 25, 2013, 06:59:56 AM
KnCMiner has 8 votes? What did they ever do?

Avalon has 24 votes.. Probably because this turned into another BFL thread. There are people that got robbed by Avalon. BFL is nothing compared to Avalon and Yifu the scumbag. May I suggest you guys do some research and focus on real scammers https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=140974.480

15  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTB] Redeemed Casascius 25BTC coins (also 10, 5, and silver coins) on: November 25, 2013, 04:10:42 AM
bitfoo, I will give you 1.01 BTC shipped to Maryland. I'll pay first.

I'll probably take you up on that. But I'd give MXRider a chance to respond first, since we sorta hijacked his thread.

I'll have to pass on this one Smiley thank you for the offer though. That coin looks really nice.
16  Economy / Goods / Re: [WTS] Casascius 25BTC on: November 12, 2013, 03:07:54 PM
Even though it's not a holo error, it is rare (and expensive) enough it would fit in the Collectible Marketplace thread, if you'd like to add it.

It would help give a better understanding of relative rarities.
I did a crude count, and there were about 830 25 BTC made in total, of which only 604 remain active.
A far smaller population (a bit over 200) were of the holo variety.

I would just ask that if you do post it, that you use the same format as elsewhere in the thread, and make sure to call out (as you did here) that it is not a holo error variety.

Good luck!

I'll add it. Thanks for the tip.

I'll lower the price to 29.5 BTC including shipping.

17  Economy / Goods / [SOLD] Casascius 25BTC on: November 11, 2013, 11:57:56 AM
Unopened 25BTC coin. It does not have the error on the hologram.

Never been taken out of the original plastic pouch.

I'm in EU.

Asking 30BTC.

This has been sold.
18  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] 16 x Bitfury H-cards (500 GH/s) on: November 05, 2013, 08:45:33 PM
How fast have you been able to overclock them?

How much for the M-card?

Depending on your answer I may be interested in buying all 16 + the M card.

These can be overclocked to ~34 GH/s per H-card which means that a full kit with 16 cards can achieve well over 500 GH/s.

I don't know what I'm asking for the M-board. If you really buy all 16 I think I'll give it to you for free Smiley
19  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] 16 x Bitfury H-cards (500 GH/s) on: November 05, 2013, 08:42:35 PM
I have an M - board for sale to go with these if anyone is interested Wink .9 BTC only. Sorry for hijack !

You must be blind. My open post says that I ALSO HAVE AN M-BOARD AVAILABLE.

You are a sad person.
20  Economy / Computer hardware / Re: [WTS] 16 x Bitfury H-cards (500 GH/s) on: November 05, 2013, 04:07:26 PM
Dobo79 already posted a picture of my setup but here it is again
http://thegenesisblock.com/bitfury-begins-shipping-to-customers/
That article even has a note "picture taken by leo".

H-cards are pencil modded to the limit. I've used proper cooling (heatsinks+fans). Do not OC these without active cooling.

I got a ton of PMs so give me some time to answer them. Two things are certain:
1) 1.5 BTC is a very good price. I don't have to sell so please do not make lowball offers.
2) I've done several big deals here, I have legit bitcoin business in Finland and several trustworthy people can vouch for me so escrow is not my first choice and I'm definitely not paying for it.

European customers: 1.5 BTC/card is without VAT. That's why I'm looking for a US buyers unless some European has valid VAT number or is willing to pay VAT.

Now I'll start answering PMs...
