1  Other / Off-topic / 21 BTC Locked up on: September 04, 2017, 02:33:25 AM
In 2012 i sent my brother 15btc for his birthday I totally forgot aboutt. I was talking abou the recent price rise and he, I got some of those. B he forgot the password, and has no clue as to what it is.
When I was mining I sold 100bucks to a friend and it just kinda came to me that he had some btc. Guess what he cant remember his password either. I set up his blockchain wallet, watched him write down his pass word, fold it up and put in his wallet.. I put his seed words in a text doc, printed and gave it to his. He is now clueless and cant find the docs or folded note. Total about 6.5btc. I also put all that info in a text file left on his. I rember he got pissy when we had that big drop when MTGox went tits up.

Laptop stopped working and it was tossed. I sold him the btc in Dec 2013. So 21.5btc lockup forever and Bitcoin is higher than giraffe  pussy. If I had any hair, I would bull it all all out one hair at a time

They are a scam. I deposited 500 in BTC several months ago. AT first I saw and nice increase in by acc balance. It went from 500 to 635 in about three months. Then my balance stopped changing no ups no downs. BTC was up 100 per cent, and not change in my balance. I requested withdrawal and it was cancelled. I got a email stating that buy balace was too low and I did not consider fees.

4  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will Bitcoin be replaced by another cryptocurrency? on: August 14, 2017, 01:13:28 PM
It is, at the very least, strange to believe that Bitcoin either will or won't be replaced by another cryptocurrency. On the one hand, at the moment is going strong, so why should be replaced? On the other hand, it has already, let's say, forked into 2, so no one can give a guarantee of it remaining stable in the future. Devoting oneself to Bitcoin implies living in the present moment.
5  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: bitcoin cannot replace currency in the world because price is not stable on: August 14, 2017, 12:53:05 PM
Bitcoin is still very very young and of course it won't be replacing fiat anytime soon. But who know what will happen in the long run when the price stabilizes? Who know what will happen in a decade? Bitcoin will gain momentum and, very possibly, most people will be using it somehow.

Of course, not everything is as straightforward as that. Bitcoin is not tangible. This is the main factor why it will not be able to fully replace fiat money, whatever happens.
6  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is Holding Bitcoin a long time good way to make money? on: August 14, 2017, 12:04:38 PM
It has certainly proven to be an excellent way to make money. Especially if you have been holding it for the last couple of years  Wink Anyway, I still think that even if you buy now and hold it for a while, it will still be profitable. I assume there is still growth potential for the price...
7  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you trade at multiple exchanges? on: August 14, 2017, 11:50:40 AM
I don't tend to do arbitrage now. I remain faithful to one exchange, as I find it burdensome to constantly switch from one to the other. It is, however, highly individual. As it has been said many times: do what works best for you.
8  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is the reason for Bitcoin sharp rise ?! on: August 14, 2017, 11:28:50 AM
For me it is the hype. Just hover on Twitter, you will see that anyone, even not very fond of crypto-currencies, is talking about it, and thus we entered in some sort of hysteria, auto-alimented by more people joining, making price increase, making more people talking about it, making new people come, etc.

Yes!!! Absolutely - as I also wrote earlier - the hype does wonders  Smiley
9  Economy / Speculation / Re: Is it too late to buy bitcoin? on: August 14, 2017, 10:27:19 AM
Probably it's not too late yet. It still has some growth potential, even though the price is really high at the moment. It can go both ways, so maybe buying is somewhat risky. But NOT buying is also risky, if you want a Bitcoin career.  Smiley
10  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: When do YOU sell? on: August 14, 2017, 10:07:52 AM
I try not to sell Bitcoin at all, but to hold it  Smiley As for Altcoins - I try not to keep them at all, I don't see this as a reliable investment. I sell as soon as there is even a small winning percentage, so to say. I go about it intuitively.
I think this is the right time to sell bitcoin because their price was continues increasing. Moreover I think if we sell bitcoin now, we incurred a lot of income. But now if we cannot sell it in the future there were a possibility to earn lost.

I am pondering on whether to sell it in the near future or not. I'm not gonna sell it right now, cause I assume it has some growth potential still. But there may come an opportune moment to sell really soon, I agree here
11  Economy / Speculation / Re: What is the reason for Bitcoin sharp rise ?! on: August 14, 2017, 09:18:50 AM
Apart from everything else said here (Segwit - fair enough), I would say that it is also greatly influenced by how the Bitcoin concept is highlighted in the media these days. Naturally, the amount of hype raises the demand, more and more people think of investing in it. A fairly positive image has been created by the media, it just can't remain on the periphery for attentive readers:)
12  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are you using bitcoins for? on: August 14, 2017, 09:02:45 AM
I am holding it for the moment, even though I am well aware that it's risky. But I reckon that it will probably keep growing, so a waiting stance is probably the best approach.

14  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What is the best coin to buy? on: August 14, 2017, 08:51:10 AM
There is no such thing as the BEST coin to buy. Every type of coin has its benefits. As it has been said already, do your own research. It greatly depends on whether you want to acquire the asset for a long-term investment or not. It is safe to say that Bitcoin is the primary asset with long-term potential.
15  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Pump & Dump of cryptocurrency on: August 14, 2017, 08:38:48 AM
Pump and dump is usually a scam short term scenario. First, a certain group buys cheap cryprocurrency assets, then artificially heats up public interest towards these assets - then sells them overpriced. Then gullible people end up with these overpriced assets and lose money. This is a manipulative scheme that meddles with prices.

Without Christianity the current moral system wouldn't exist. What exactly would? Who knows

20  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Newbie question about BTC and BCC split... on: August 09, 2017, 12:44:38 PM
Wanted to sell my BCC by Liqui, though now thinking about keeping it at least for a while. I think it will jump soon enough.
