101  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN][NEC] Neocoin, an innovative coin (not a copy paste coin) on: July 25, 2013, 02:40:30 PM
'I SEND YOU MONEY', I can't stop looking at that.

Flash-based website is also another oddity.

102  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: PXC(Phenixcoin) The coin you should Invest in. on: July 25, 2013, 02:36:27 PM
Include a bullet for:

paraphrasing iamatrix:

Currently having lawyers looking into the legality of hosting online gambling servers within the USA. If they cannot come up with a token scheme to evade the current laws and legal system, PXC cannot be used for gambling in the USA. All severs will be removed and moved to Canada or elsewhere and USA access to websites will be restricted.

103  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN]NEW UNOCS SITE on: July 25, 2013, 02:22:27 PM
I think there is a lesson here to be learned. I've seen many bitcoin businesses do it too.

Take your time guys. Obviously you guys are moving too fast and are tripping up on simple security issues as well as "bugs".

It's better to not talk about what you are doing and just do it and release it when it is FINISHED than to say you are doing X and then keep delaying or be caught with your pants down.

The open access to the UNOCs site pages/password was definitely not a confidence booster.

I agree with you. They should take their time to complete the project. We are here to handle the trolls. Wink

So when I posted that same exact post I am a troll, when silver coin guy does it, he is not a troll. Interesting...
104  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ATTENTION] TRC has been successfully forked on: July 25, 2013, 02:19:42 PM
It is called soft-forking. Difference versus hard-forking is that there are no 2 different wallet rulesets but 2 different versions of the 1 chain.

LOL so you go off on some dude and call him noob because he said it was forked and now you admit it is "soft-forked".

This.

There is FORK, and there is HARD FORK.

Hard Fork is when it is incompatible with a previous version and breaks compatibility, or forked where it is compatible.

Soft-fork is nonsense, it should just be forked.

107  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [QRK] Quark | Super secure hashing | CPU mining | Start is now! on: July 25, 2013, 04:22:45 AM
So I have my wallet open and I am not mining at all, yet I found 2 blocks.

How is that possible?

If you have "gen=1" in your .conf file it will start mining when you open your wallet.

Check your cpu usage

lol yup, explains the slight lag. I was GPU mining, CPU mining and using the computer. Didn't get the gen 1 on the conf.

The "typical" QT? emunie is not a bitcoin clone, buddy.

I'm not your buddy, guy!

Thought the website was no longer under attack...

Dead again.
111  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: eMunie on: July 25, 2013, 02:10:23 AM
What does being closed source have anything to do with updates?

Not agreeing with them at all, but closed source allows them to protect IP for as long as possible and prevent competitors from copying code.

I read in the forums another reason for it being closed-source was that it would allow them to push out updates, hard forks / forks, without the need to update clients and whatnot. The coin is not using the normal QT but rather a Java application so the update system will be different I would assume.

Feel free to correct me if I am wrong.

The beta is in java but the final client will be in c++

Yes but will still within a Java application and not using the typical QT.
112  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN]NEW UNOCS SITE on: July 25, 2013, 01:35:41 AM
Because if I hadn't said anything about the directories being unsecured I could easily see this turning into real numbers in the future.

The main issue here is the excessive carelessness with the coding.

If you are not ready for release, then delay the release. Quit dragging out the launch and rushing everything.

Take time to do things right, and make sure the product you are releasing is secure throughout.

This coin seems ridiculously cheap right now @ 0.00000220 BTC, it has a lot of potential to easily move a few decimal points. You rarely see a coin this cheap for any period of time.
114  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [ANN]NEW UNOCS SITE on: July 25, 2013, 12:04:27 AM
UNOCS bridge site will be out. UNOCS site was not important to protect.

Really. Not important to protect? A secure payment gateway? Maybe you didn't see the files I have seen. For me it looked like a very quick and unprofessional payment something. Maybe it could even work one day, but definitely not very soon. But maybe it was just to make some nice screenscots or very basic functionality to convince you lemmings to invest further into these copycoins.

Would you say files like this one shouldn't be protected? -> http://www.unocs.com/includes/cards.php -> http://pastebin.com/HT4HiMuX

The UNOCS site is not going to be used for transactions a child could tell that. There is a separate site which will be used for UNOCS bridge. The use of the original UNOCS site is for announcements only. Do you think that announcements are really important to protect. And if you are talking about protection then you can see that nobody can see those links now it didn't take time to block those links for public. This shows that they were not taking the site seriously but you guys made them to think about that and wasted some time of theirs.

Did you not even click the link? Those are credit card numbers...

Some kind of credit card numbers in an unprotected readable php file? Free to download from a "secure gateway" you will use to send and recieve funds? Nah, that's not my bank.

Holy crap, that is a serious issue.

They have an image hidden of them being PCI compliant but no way is that compliant by any means.

116  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: TERRACOIN ATTACK OVER 1.2TH ATTACK CONFIRMD on: July 24, 2013, 11:41:05 PM
Someone got an ASIC working on TRC?

You can use Asic on TRC and others that are sha256D

Application Specific, I would assume TRC is slightly different in the code and would require tweaks would it not? If not then why has an attack like this not happened yet?

Man, you must be fair with these guys. At least they are doing something to scam people... pushing out one website per week just to keep lemmings trotting in. That is work too! They can't be everywehere, they have maaany projects to do, like:

http://phenixtrader.com/
http://www.unocs.com
http://phenixauth.com/
http://feathercoin.co/
http://www.phenixex.com/

The best part of the scam, something I have been trying to figure out for a while, is that PXC gambling is most likely illegal in the USA. They will have to shut down USA servers and relocated them as well as restrict US access to the websites.

BitCoin Talk is also throwing strange errors as if it is being DDOS'ed as well? Extremely long load times also.

Just got this error here:
