if someone did it, he is a fucked evil genius

Quoted for the lulz. Love the phrasing.

Meanwhile, every announcement seems DESIGNED to take us down another rabbit hole...

FTFY

Would 3.x per block mean they represented ( 3.x / 25 ) of slush's entire rate?  That seems unlikely...

There's an option to not generate a payout to an external wallet until you reach x amount of mining revenue.  You're correct that 1/8th of Slush's total hashrate is extremely unlikely.

I mined on Slush for a while.
They pay at every threshold last I know and typically once per block.
Either:
a. random person pointed their 3.x btc payout to LC's address to cause a share price spike and make it up there
b. LC is getting about 3.x btc per block on slush
C. LC had 3.x btc and lowered the threshold to allow a payout of the balance of 3.x btc.

While I would not rule out a, b and c are both promising.

-Ukyo

Option b) has just been ruled out. Slush just solved a block and no payout to Labcoin.

Now a) and c) stay open.

don't know how you worked that out..

If they were to be rewarded 3.x BTC per block, they would have already been paid a second time. They haven't. Option b) ruled out.

Nobody has been payed out yet from that block. https://blockchain.info/address/1AqTMY7kmHZxBuLUR5wJjPFUvqGs23sesr

We'll have to wait and see if they payout to the Labcoin address.

I missed that, labcoin or theswede wrote on IRC that their mining pool was slush?
Labcoin IRC chan is not official chan.  TheSwede75 user there is not the real TheSwede75.

The real Swede posted a mining address https://blockchain.info/address/17psAW21J4twanAFWmbcd5WdX2pKeX3trm  that address just received a 3.26B payment from Slush's mining pool.

It strongly indicates that Labcoin is mining at Slush's pool (or some jackoff set their payout address to Labcoins payout address to make it look like mining income in order to spike the share price).  IMO the more payments they get from Slush the less likely it's fake.
106  Economy / Securities / Re: [LABCOIN] IPO [BTCT.CO] - Details/FAQ and Discussion (ASIC dev/sales/mining) on: September 18, 2013, 10:39:23 PM

I understand the complaints, I have them myself.

But when we see a hashrate on a pool, all our squawking becomes utterly irrelevant.

I'm fairly certain TheSwede75 meant their own internal pool.  IE you will never see real current hashrate.
107  Economy / Securities / Re: [LABCOIN] IPO [BTCT.CO] - Details/FAQ and Discussion (ASIC dev/sales/mining) on: September 18, 2013, 09:54:46 PM
We're currently averaging about 2 TH/s in solo mode, and expect to deploy at least 4 TH by monday 16, to reach gradually 50 TH within October.

Then again:
We're mining in solo mode

and again:
Not really a drop to 2 TH, this is roughly the speed we're mining at now, it will reach 4 TH next monday.

and again:
We are indeed mining

Of course anyone can create and sign an address, I do not expect this to do anything until the point that mining starts. However I figured it was best to have it done before mining starts just to 'have it done'.

I took that final statement to mean "until the point that pool mining starts."

no buy support, that's for sure.  I guess that pump attempt statement from TheSeven didn't add any confidence.

if this thing turns ugly, it'll drop past those bids around .002 really quickly.

Which statement?  Link?
109  Economy / Securities / Re: [LABCOIN] IPO [BTCT.CO] - Details/FAQ and Discussion (ASIC dev/sales/mining) on: September 18, 2013, 04:26:24 AM
The short term share price fluctuations due to FUDsters trying to pump and dump does not concern me, as I'm in it for the long run.
The reasons why the FUD has been so effective should concern every potential investor that's holding Labcoin.  Most of it isn't even FUD, but very pissed off people expressing frustration and extreme concern.
110  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: MCXNow Can See your passwords! REALSolid has access to all your Passwords on: September 17, 2013, 01:50:08 AM
Pure lies.  All of it except for the unsalted passwords.  Alex has created several of these threads for some reason.  He uses several socks to bump them.  All of it is complete bullshit.

Last night an unknown site was compromised.  Someone was trying the DB of username/passwords against mcxNOW accounts.  After 1 theft of B was verified the site immediately went into lockdown to prevent other nubs who didn't use unique passwords from losing their money as well.
111  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] mcxNOW.com : Deposit. Earn Interest. Trade. on: September 15, 2013, 07:34:40 PM
The annual interest rate showed in your website is totally wrong. Right now it's not 2000% for BTC deposits, it's around 3%.

EDIT: And current LTC rate is 3.25%, not 1700%.

Could someone explain this nonsense, please??

There's a bug in the site's interest rate display.

Thank you for your answer. That's a very convenient bug, no doubt.

On the test site the interest, and mcxFEE payout was set at every hour (for testing reasons).  It was apparently forgotten when the site went live and interest/mcxFEE payouts were set to occur every six hours.

I don't see anything nefarious about it.  First glance at the % of return should tell you it's not accurate atm.
112  Economy / Securities / Re: [Tools] Google Spreadsheets auto-updating portfolio JSON functions. on: September 14, 2013, 08:02:28 PM

Also made one for Bitstamp price (for some reason this one only works if you don't have ['ticker'] before [assetData])

Looks like they have the last price, but not a daily average. Is there a site which provides a daily average, like bitcoincharts or something?

I found this script somewhere around here (sorry I forgot where) for bitcoincharts.
Code:
// Bitcoincharts.com - Weighted Prices

var url = "http://api.bitcoincharts.com/v1/weighted_prices.json";
var response = UrlFetchApp.fetch(url);
var json = response.getContentText();
var bcharts_data = JSON.parse(json);

function bit24hr(inNum){
  var x = bcharts_data["USD"]["24h"];
  if (typeof inNum != "number") {  // check to make sure input is a number
    throw "input must be a number";  // throw an exception with the error message
  }
  var y = inNum * x
  return y;
}

function bit7d(inNum){
  var x = bcharts_data["USD"]["7d"];
  if (typeof inNum != "number") {  // check to make sure input is a number
    throw "input must be a number";  // throw an exception with the error message
  }
  var y = inNum * x
  return y;
}

function bit30d(inNum){
  var x = bcharts_data["USD"]["30d"];
  if (typeof inNum != "number") {  // check to make sure input is a number
    throw "input must be a number";  // throw an exception with the error message
  }
  var y = inNum * x
  return y;
}
113  Economy / Securities / Re: [Tools] Google Spreadsheets auto-updating portfolio JSON functions. on: September 14, 2013, 03:16:43 PM
r = r[assetData] just fetches the variable you input right off the first level. All variables are within "ticker". Try changing that part for:
r = r['ticker'][assetData]

Works perfect, thank you Smiley

Also made one for Bitstamp price (for some reason this one only works if you don't have ['ticker'] before [assetData])

Code:
// Bitstamp ######################################
function Bitstamp(assetData){
    // Ex: =Bitstamp("last") high, low, volume, bid, ask
    var r = fetchCached("https://www.bitstamp.net/api/ticker/")
    if ('undefined' == typeof(r))
        return 'No data!'
    r = Utilities.jsonParse(r)
    if ('undefined' == typeof(r))
        return 'Malformed JSON!'
    r = r[assetData]
    if ('undefined' == typeof(r))
        return '0'

    if (!isNaN(r)){r = r*1}
    return r
    }

Labcoin still online.

115  Economy / Securities / Re: [LABCOIN] IPO [BTCT.CO] - Details/FAQ and Discussion (ASIC dev/sales/mining) on: September 14, 2013, 02:33:30 AM
Again who cares if they have 1 assembled board. They have massive amounts of chips and boards, when they finally get everything to work they will have hundreds of boards and chips, but of course having 1 board on 09/13 is so very significant. lol
How hard is it to post a mining address?
116  Economy / Securities / Re: [LABCOIN] IPO [BTCT.CO] - Details/FAQ and Discussion (ASIC dev/sales/mining) on: September 14, 2013, 02:10:15 AM
The next update will include a mining address as well. We are confident in fact that the price will raise tenfold in respect to IPO price in reasonable time, and advise anyone until 30/10/2013 to take any final decision.

Labcoin

Why not post it now?
117  Economy / Securities / Re: [LABCOIN] IPO [BTCT.CO] - Details/FAQ and Discussion (ASIC dev/sales/mining) on: September 14, 2013, 02:01:46 AM

POST THE MINING ADDRESS.

Even if you are not currently hashing, there is no reason you can't post the mining address.

This is the only thing every post in this thread should say.
118  Economy / Securities / Re: [LABCOIN] IPO [BTCT.CO] - Details/FAQ and Discussion (ASIC dev/sales/mining) on: September 14, 2013, 01:46:34 AM
There's no scam and no pictures faking, here's another take :

http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/199/uzby.jpg/

Proof of mining will be given as soon as possible.

That one has EXIF data. 1/33 second exposure, ISO-250, 9/13/2013.  Says camera make/model is "protected"

It's even in focus.  Shocker.
119  Economy / Securities / Re: [LABCOIN] IPO [BTCT.CO] - Details/FAQ and Discussion (ASIC dev/sales/mining) on: September 14, 2013, 01:38:58 AM
TheSwede75,

You already stated 2TH has been hashing, all I want to know is WHEN will the dividend from those 2 TH getting distributed?

Dividend from SHAREHOLDER funds will be paid as first dividend on September 17th.

thank you

I think you missed the important bit
120  Economy / Securities / Re: [LABCOIN] IPO [BTCT.CO] - Details/FAQ and Discussion (ASIC dev/sales/mining) on: September 14, 2013, 01:31:31 AM
I don't think its a scam. I just think they got their shit later than expected and are still assembling boards.

Then what are they currently hashing with?

They aren't. They are still getting their boards together.
But they've told us they're hashing already.
