103  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: ColdPi - Offline bitcoin wallet on a Raspberry Pi on: June 05, 2014, 04:40:37 AM
Hi, I am tring to write my sdcard with the image provided here:
Quote

but I always get this error:

Code:
not enough space on disk sector size 512

"Not enough space on disk: Size 15730688 sectors Available: 15523840 sectors Sector size: 512"

Can someone help me editing the iso to remove unecessary things to reduce its space?

I bought the NOOBS card with my pi but it seems that it only comes with 7.32GB and the image provided has 7.40GB...

 Thanks

I think you might just have found out what your problem is then. Try a bigger one. Are you properly writing it with an imager program?

I did it myself with this card following the other guide provided by coldpi:
Quote

I just thinked that if the other image doesn't fit on 8gb cards you should update this point on the other tutorial:
Quote
4.    Insert your SDHC card (8GB+, Class4+)

Thanks anyway

I'm sorry it didn't work out. You might have to wait for the owner of this thread to drop by. Maybe write hm a PM.

105  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: [ANN] Armory Multi-Sig with Simulfunding [BOUNTY 0.03 per bug] on: June 01, 2014, 11:49:18 AM
I watched the video. The whole process looks complicated at the moment to me.

I would expect that if I am in a group of people signing a multisign transaction, that the signature-process is happening in the tool.
At the moment it looks like that I have to send the partly-signed transaction with a file over to the next person via E-mail or another messaging system.
From a technical standpoint I undstand that the transaction needs to be signed by all required parties first, before it can be broadcasted.
On the otherhand would it be very hand if the partly signed transaction would automatically show up on the other person's wallet waiting for approval.

Like: "1 Transaction waiting for approval" type of messaging system.

I think DarkWallet will eventually have a P2P connection between parties to sign. However, many Armory users will have their keys in an offline system anyway, so they need some kind of transfer like that. Remember, Armory is targeted to the highest security aware users.

Would there be a way to actally embed transactions in the Blockchain which are not yet valid as they are only signed by one party? So for three signatures three times the miners fee would have to be payed, but who cares. would be awesome to use the already in place network for this. I guess the answer is no, but maybe someone knows for sure.

107  Economy / Securities / Re: Lab Rat Data Processing, LLC (LabRatMining) Official Announcement on: May 23, 2014, 08:17:26 PM
Anyone have divs per bond for 09/07/13  and 09/21/13?

Are you going to post an updated list for all divs since IPO?
108  Economy / Securities / Re: [BitFunder] IceDrill.ASIC IPO (235 Thash Mining Operation powered by HashFast) on: May 19, 2014, 07:00:28 AM
Stop messing your investors about and pay them their dividends.

I really don't understand why this has not been done yet.

1. You have the confirmed list of addresses.
2. You have the BTC
3. You have the technical know how and ability.

Just push it through.

I can only +1 this. I'm not filling out that insance cryptomex kyc form.

I was planning to trade the shares, but I can live without.

I don't understand why you don't pay dividends. The argument that some people might not be in control of the private keys can be solved by requiring them to sign some "yes, please pay dividends to the address used to sign this" message on the icedrill.io site, which you created - if I recall correctly - to be able to pay dividends.

We all already had to sign a message for siging up with this google site. And there it was mentioned already several times that you must be and stay in control of this address. And again, a message had to be signed. So there is no reason to not pay to those who signed up there.

@will: How will the differenciation between private and public investors be guaranteed on cryptomex.io? They are our insurance after all.
109  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Moneychanger (Windows Builds) - v0.92.c (inc. Open Transactions) on: May 16, 2014, 11:20:32 PM
0.91.b: Closes immediately on strartup

0.92.c: "icuin52.dll missing" error on startup

0.89.q x-64: found this on my hdd and installed. Seems to work so far. I think it's just OT however, without Moneychanger GUI. comes up with the usual no server contract message and stuff.

Win7 Ultimate SP1 x64. Have installed a lot of SW listed here:
https://github.com/Open-Transactions/Open-Transactions/blob/master/docs/INSTALL-Windows.txt

Edit: Have not found a log folder. Can provide logs if you can point me there. Seriously I have never compiled anything in my life and it is quite confusing and right now I don't even know if I have to build anything, have some of the installed programs open or just use your installer and ist's supposed to be all included. I have gone through the whole thread and done a lot of reading on OT and in the Installation docs on GitHub.  It's late, need to go to bed. any help appreciated. Is this still the actual prerequisites?

110  Bitcoin / Project Development / Re: Moneychanger (Windows Builds) - v0.92.c (inc. Open Transactions) on: May 16, 2014, 12:46:34 PM
Ok I feel a little bit embarrassed to post these noob questions here but will do so anyway as I really want to learn something and @ da2ce7 you seem to be a nice guy.

1.)   What are the prerequisites for installing this installer? Libraryies, OS … What about the things mentioned in the link below? Are they included in your installer? https://github.com/Open-Transactions/Open-Transactions/blob/master/docs/INSTALL-Windows.txt

2.)   Once installed, how do I setup OT so it will connect to the test server?

3.)   Now I would like to e.g. issue my currency onto the test server and start moving it between two nyms. Is there a dummies guide for doing that?

4.)   What do I have to do to be able to work with the utility script:  smartcontract.ot as stated here: https://github.com/Open-Transactions/Open-Transactions/tree/master/scripts/smartcontracts

5.)   Any other good guides you can point me to? Best way to get started as a Windows user.

Disclaimer: I do have some experiences with scrip languages such as R, VBA or LaTeX but I am definitely not a programmer. Long term Windows user.
111  Economy / Securities / Re: [BitFunder] IceDrill.ASIC IPO (235 Thash Mining Operation powered by HashFast) on: May 15, 2014, 03:18:08 PM
I registered in cryptomex.io with the same mail that icedrill.io but I don't see my units... this is normal?

Thank you!

I have the same question. How domI become a unverified account holder as somone mentioned to be earlier in this thread?
112  Economy / Securities / Re: Lab Rat Data Processing, LLC (LabRatMining) Official Announcement on: May 15, 2014, 03:15:20 PM
Did you read what this colored coins are?, I think the racism is in your head if you read "colored" and you think in black or yellow and as a offense, but if you think in fuchsia pink? there is a race you can insult calling them pink?

How many different colors can a screen show? millions? Tell me how can you differentiate an object from another? maybe the color? maybe the form? but our form is the bitcoin, so I think call it colored is a good way, maybe you can create some coins with the color LostDutchman, it is only a qualifying adjective. You are LostDutchman and I'm vitruvio, you are different to me, am I racist because that?.

Regards

Easy he was just trolling. And by the way the pink race are the pigs...
113  Economy / Securities / Re: [BitFunder] IceDrill.ASIC IPO (500 Thash Mining Operation powered by HashFast) on: May 11, 2014, 09:50:39 AM
my counter offer

The main goals at the moment (absolute MVP priority) are:
1) Start paying rewards. based on confirmed addresses at icedrill.io
2.) Start paying rewards. based on confirmed addresses at icedrill.io
3.) Start paying rewards. based on confirmed addresses at icedrill.io
Totally agree. And make this before operational costs of the future non profitable mining have eaten all out divs of the past profitable minging. Pay divs NOW! 1st fu**ing priority! Who wants to trade shares that have not payed any divs although coins have been mined. Forget the trading if you can't pay divs. There is no added value. You could as well have us register on cryptomex.io to trade my used toilet paper. The interests would be about the same or higher.

A pool should be started for funds for future legal actions or to pay someone to go to terra / wills homes and kick the crap outta them.
extra btc bounty for photos of broken bones, family cant be touched.
Totally disagree!!!
114  Economy / Securities / Re: Lab Rat Data Processing, LLC (LabRatMining) Official Announcement on: May 11, 2014, 09:43:40 AM
OK this weeks Divs were great (if switch occured to new contract). THX for that. Hope it continues like that every week.  Grin

Now I know that it sucks if conditions change during a game. I totally understand everyone who is pissed because of that. However, we all knew we are totally dependent on LR to have our best interests in mind or we are screwed anyway. Everyone knew the risk involved and hopefully did not think they get rick quick and never have to work again.  Undecided

Does anyone have the updated list on how many % of IPO price we made back so far?

I must admit that I have some other investments in mining "companies" and compared to what happens there this is a very luxurious situation as LRM bondholders.

1.) They haven't payed any divs so far (none, nada, nill, ...) although the IPO happend the same time on BitFunder.
2.) Now they want us to fill out 4 pages of forms and a witness also has to give all their details and sign this shit for Hong-Kong regulators. Questions go as far as if you have mental illnesses, if you are not well socially connected etc. Still unsure if you get any divs ever if you do not submit all your personal info including bank accounts and all just to be listed on Cryptomex.io
3.) The company got as a whole got scammed by ScamFast and so far no communication regarding what compensation (if any) we will get for it. No progress in months.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=269216.0

Good thing I only invested about 3% of what I invested in LRM there. Still sucks. I know this might not be of your interests but I just thought that I give a little comparison regarding how bad it acctually can be...
115  Economy / Securities / Re: [BitFunder] IceDrill.ASIC IPO (235 Thash Mining Operation powered by HashFast) on: May 07, 2014, 04:49:58 AM
. And regarding the buy-back: I would probably settle for halve of the IPO price or even less. At least my nerves would thank me that.

You are joking right?   Can you walk me through how you think 230TH/s of hashing power is worth HALF the IPO price?
It is worth about 1,500 to 2,000 bitcoin total.

I have not calculated anything. Maybe it's just worth 1% of IPO price or even less. What Do I know. I don't follow the mining market any more that closley. What is your estimate based on e.g. gigahash.io share prices?
116  Economy / Securities / Re: [BitFunder] IceDrill.ASIC IPO (235 Thash Mining Operation powered by HashFast) on: May 06, 2014, 06:40:24 PM
There seems to be a misunderstanding.

I don't think this form has anything to do with Wallets or ownership of shares at all. I believe it's what the SFC (Hong Kong's Securities Commision) is requesting IceDrill have each "PU" Holder complete in order to be compliant and allow "Trading" on this platform.

The document does request quite a bit of information though.

A good question would be, Can whoever refuses to fill this form out sign the agreement and simply not have their shares listed on Cryptomex but still receive payments?

If not then that means the SFC is telling IceDrill they will be in violation by sending Dividends or "PUs" out without having each "Customer" fill out that form.

Now as far as share buy backs,

Does anyone who wants this honestly think IceDrill has enough BTC to buyback everyones shares? No.

If you wanted a "Buy Back" it would likely happen at bits on the bitcoins that were used to purchase the "shares" and this is even if the SFC would even let them do that, you would still likely have to sign a paper waiving your right to a bunch of things with the buyback.

Maybe you are right. However, during the IPO we did not have any clause about Hong Kong regulations. And regarding the buy-back: I would probably settle for halve of the IPO price or even less. At least my nerves would thank me that.
117  Economy / Securities / Re: [BitFunder] IceDrill.ASIC IPO (235 Thash Mining Operation powered by HashFast) on: May 06, 2014, 03:32:32 PM
+1 to everything.

By the way. If you are so worried about people not handling their wallets responsivley you can request a signed message as it was requested to register for the Google ID thing. This is enough to verify that I have control over my keys and don't have the address on GOX. Divs should have been sent out long ago by sendmany. Very very suspicious! Noone wants to give out their details on the net. Bitcoin enables this. What you propose is a clear step back to the stoneage!
118  Other / Off-topic / Re: Open Transactions Blog on: April 30, 2014, 11:53:42 AM
FT or any other devs: I am looking for the escrow sample contract. It is shown in the video but I can't find the file in a format like this:
http://opentransactions.org/wiki/index.php?title=Smart_contracts

I am not a programmer but I have learned several script languages before (VBA, R, LaTeX): I would like to try to write a sample contract for Nash Equilibrium Exchange. I think it is not so difficult but still a challenge for me. I will have to learn about ChaiScript first. However, the more OT sample contracts I can see, the better I can reverse engineer them and learn. THX.
119  Bitcoin / Armory / Re: Please Help Test Armory 0.91-beta! on: April 04, 2014, 09:19:44 PM
Alright, lots of the issues with 0.90.99.5 have been resolved, and pushed to 0.90.99.7.  I just pushed the new version along with notifications.  Hopefully the notifications will actually work properly this time (no more "You are using version X+1 please upgrade to X+1!").

Just updated Bitcoin Core and Armory and all worked like a charm. So pleased to see the Armory-Team being well earthed and constantly improving. The work you guys are doing is awesome and absolutely key to the development of Bitcoin and Co. I congratulate and thank you guys. The new features are cool and I know there is lots more in the pipeline.

Still had to click away the message mentioned above though. ;-) Shall I use the bug reporting? ;-)
120  Economy / Securities / Re: [BitFunder] IceDrill.ASIC IPO (235 Thash Mining Operation powered by HashFast) on: April 03, 2014, 08:09:39 PM
The current estimate is to go-live with IceDrill trading and dividend payments on cryptomex around the 19th of April, following a code-review and security audit.

THX. Oh how convenient...this is in "Two Weeks™".
