101  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Am I Late to the Party? on: December 14, 2017, 08:57:27 PM
My friend asked me the same in 2014. and I answered: no, it's never too late. Always buy again. he did not do it. I bought ;-)

I agree with Daydream for cryptocurrency investment is never too late. I give you one tip that no one mention but it comes with a price (maybe high...) Some Tokens/Coins are expensive and like Litecoin just recently raised in value you can still buy but for better profit (much higher) this is the way: buying more cheaper coin/token will always work out better than have 2, 5 or 10 coins more expensive. When I mean more is 500, 1000, 2500 ideally 5.000 This comes with a price, risk is greater than buy more solid and more expensive ones, but reward beats anything for sure because of multiplier. x500, x1000, x2500 and x5000
102  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin going crazy on: December 14, 2017, 07:19:12 PM
What was this hype about? Is there news or rumors, updates?  Smiley Should be something or just whales pumping?

The market is manipulated every day and that's normal, I am not surprised Litecoin rise in price, it's a long-term trusted currency. I had a long time ago but didn't decide to keep, reason was simple I had for over 12 months and the price was flat so didn't want to keep it, was disappointed and even now will cost 1000$ not interested to buy anymore!. This is a beauty about crypto world, its heavy manipulated by whales and absolutely unpredictable, you never know what and when go moon and rise in price x2 - x10 current price. I wish all best to Litecoin holders but this train is not for me.

I agree it is Very Fair.
104  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Iota is going down on: December 14, 2017, 01:06:06 PM
I have seen approximately 2 weeks ago warnings about buying IOTA take extra caution because the price is already artificially inflated, so if I am not interested in IOTA, I know is very minimal about this coin and still I have seen warnings about "don't invest is already pumped" there should be no problem for an investors that follow this project step by step to make the right decision and know when to stop buying and quit/keep/sell and keep profits.
105  Bitcoin / Electrum / Re: Electrum wallet virus on: December 13, 2017, 02:26:50 AM
If you downloaded Electrum from "official website" there is nothing to worry about. Sometimes any antivirus picks false positive files and automatically quarantine them. You have two choices, look for another wallet but I am using Electrum and is trustworthy and of best desktop wallets out there, the second option is disable antivirus, download wallet and install. Then go location where wallet is installed and scan files from right context menu. Sometimes antivirus software will delete zip/far filed automatically so this may be the case too. If you install from the official website there is nothing to worry about.
106  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: Quantum Computer vs Bitcoin on: December 13, 2017, 01:23:21 AM
I heard that Quantum Computer can destroy bitcoin.
Is it possible?

Yes it's possible but in fact is a very long process, it can not happen before year 2027/2028.  Bitcoin uses secp256k1 cryptography that can not be hacked today, and when this will be possible using Quantum computers I am sure Bitcoin will be ready and have the quantum fork for quantum resistance cryptography standard,
right now there is one proposal already now called qBitcoin.

107  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best strategy, when you entered late into altcoin? on: December 12, 2017, 10:10:43 PM
What is the best strategy if you entered altocoins trading very late and want to catch up.

Best strategy it will be Diversity and make sure you go small at first. Good advice invest at least 50% in BTC even is a small fraction of one, it will be still profitable that for sure, so anytime you check a part of your portfolio will be on the plus and may cover some losses from alts. Make sure you don't invest in alternative crypto more than you can lose. Good luck, if you can't decide what to buy ask here on forum.
108  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Be patient for your profit on: December 12, 2017, 05:50:12 PM
Each project is different,  sometimes dev's are better and more efficient with developing and sometimes is a one person like it was in NAV project at the beginning. Best lesson is life, I was waiting 2 years and sold my nav's for 2BTC at that time (december 2015) if I wait 2 more and I will have 20BTC.
109  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 1080Ti Specific - Best mining option on: December 10, 2017, 09:16:15 PM
How this can help? I don't understand. In the end you will have the exact same driver from install package that you had before

Windows system files and drivers can get corrupted anytime when system freeze or restart during some kind of error (randomly turn off, overheat problems, wrong settings in the miner, bad drivers, not powerful enough PSU). I am not saying this solution will help but is worth to try, install new updated graphics drivers might help too, but this requires use DDU program first to uninstall (clean remove all drivers from system 100%). I think is worth to try and give a shoot, plus you learn something new.
110  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Bitcointalk.org on android devices on: December 10, 2017, 06:48:00 PM
Today I discovered an app for android devices called "Forum Talker"  to interact with bitcointalk on android devices!

this app is so great and supports many forums too

To get started (It's so simple):
1. Enter the name of the forum (Anything).
2. Enter the Internet address of the home page of the forum (https://bitcointalk.org).
3. Test to verify the type of engine.
4. Save and enjoy reading your favorite forum.

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.belous.v.forumtalker

Thank you micrypto for letting us know, I didn't know there is an app that will work with this forum. I will definitely check this out.
111  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 1080Ti Specific - Best mining option on: December 10, 2017, 06:23:30 AM
Guys, I have 2 rigs with 1080ti's and 1070s
Both with AMD ryzen and 2 different motherboards, running windows 10 pro

I'm using CC miner to mine Zcoin and Monacoin but both rigs restarts at least twice a day and I have to start the miner again

Anyone have the same problem with cc miner and 1080ti?

The error is nvlddmkm.sys
And also the CC miner, no matter wich version sometimes crash the cards when I close

Thanks

I had this problem when I first got into mining, but I can't remember what I did to fix it.  I seem to remember it having to do with a software conflict though.  Do you have any Logitech software installed?

Below I post a link to an article how to FIX an Nvlddmkm.sys Error Message. It will require you to copy one file to C:\ system partition and use CMD to instal a new instance. Have a look at this article for detailed instruction:

112  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ICO] MONETHA - Decentralised reputation with built-in payments on: December 09, 2017, 11:54:53 PM
Finally, something starts going on here, I know Milestone 01 is Q1 2018 but Monetha wasn't a good project for investors since ICO. Many left with a massive or big loss, and some still are bag holders like me. I am fine with that because I invested reasonably. Good to see something is coming soon. I hope price finally start reflecting the true value of this project, because right now in very undervalued.
113  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ICO Participation? on: December 09, 2017, 08:10:58 PM
How many people actually participate in the ICO stage of new alts? It would appear the obvious answer is a lot, considering the amount of money they raise. But isn't better to wait for the first storm to pass and then jump on after all the hoopla?

I participated recently in few ICO's and the results are good but not for any initial coin offering I participated. One of my investments is still under ICO price and two other are good. You need to know the risk and understand that you can lose our money because ICO is basically a crowd funding a new company any many things can go wrong.
114  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] bitJob: Decentralized Student Marketplace for Online Jobs on: December 09, 2017, 02:20:03 AM
I think there should be redirection link posted on the first page original ANN thread. I found very difficult to find this thread using Google "bitjob bitcointalk". If I didn't ask for help on Telegram I will be still under impression that bitcointalk thread is locked. Please edit the first page and put a link to a new thread that will very helpfull for someone new to this project.

115  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best ICO of 2017? on: December 08, 2017, 09:21:50 PM
For me, the best ICO under the radar is Oyster Pearl protocol [PRL] - Google Drive on Blockchain. Best ICO I missed SunContract [SNC] but still manage to buy cheap. The worst ICO for comparison this year in terms of investment vs. profit is Monetha [MTH] They have potential and surely it will bring profits first Q2018 on Milestone 01 but for now is worst ICO because of losses that I took (bag holder) My favourite projects I can add to this list: Sonm, Viberate, Enigma Catalyst, Substratium and Kyber Network.
116  Other / Off-topic / Re: What wallets do you use? on: December 08, 2017, 08:10:46 PM
On my mobile phone, I use Copay, it's easy to use and have all features you need, on desktop PC works flawlessly with BitPay. For Ethereum Tokens MyEtherWallet is best. Just make sure bookmark website and double check URL before proceed - always. I keep sensitive information locked in containers with VeraCrypt - based on source code from TrueCrypt on Offline PC. Good advice is to have few MEW wallets and spread all your Tokens between them.

PRL price go up a little bit Wink

Yep, it was nice price increase when I check Blockfolio but it didn't last long, someone decided to take profit and it dropped to 0.014$ I have 2 friends that want to buy PRL in next few days, hopefully until then price will stay the same and ETH network will be fixed with "Pending Transactions"
118  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Etherdelta Deposit Authorship Help on: December 08, 2017, 03:20:45 AM
The only thing that comes to my mind is right now Ethereum Network have too many "Pending Transactions" and literally is very slow (confirmations can take up to 8 and more hours) This situation is because of Crypto Kitties game that created a havoc in the blockchain. Try increase GAS price to 50 gwei, it worked flawlessly for me on EtherDelta when I was buying some Tokens, each transaction fee was 2.5$ so I ended up buying only 3 most important for me and left them on Exchange until there is a fix or solution for Pending Transactions issue.
119  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: WILL ETHEREUM HIT $1000 SOON? on: December 08, 2017, 01:16:14 AM
I think 1000 will be reached before January 1, 2018, although today this coin should cost from 1000 to 1500!

After what I've seen in last few days I am certainly sure Ethereum will not reach 1000$, not even close. If one cat's game can get on knees whole Ehetereum Network with 23.000+ pending transactions there is no way it will rise in price, secondly Bitcoin is mooning so quickly is an unbelievable and even controversial hack on multi mining pool - NiceHash with loss of 78 Million dollars (4700 BTC) can't stop Bitcoin rise. Until CryptoKitties are removed from Blockchain or there is a quick fix that will do something about pending transactions and bring back Ethereum network to normal speed ETH will only lose value.
120  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Anyone Using EtherDelta? on: December 07, 2017, 10:03:45 PM
Anyone able to successfully use EtherDelta in the last day or so.  I know Crypto Kitties is clogging up the Ethereum blockchain but it's crazy that I can't even use EtherDelta.  I can't deposit ETH into my trading account; was hoping to pick up a few alt-coins during the bloodbath.

I know it's sound crazy but it's Crypto Kitties fault. I try to use EtherDelta exchange today and only when I set the GAS price to 50 gwei I was able to complete successful transactions. I paid for 3 transactions 7.5$ and I don't think Ethereum Network will immediately back to normal - right now is 22.600 pending transactions
