161  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is BCH not King? on: November 27, 2017, 08:18:43 AM
Why do you guys think we didn't move to BCH from BTC? Even though the segwitx2 was cancelled, BCH still seems to be Bitcoin 2.0

Bitcoin Cash is a clone with better specification and faster transactions. BCH is controlled by few investors that can increase value artificially price very quickly (classic pump and dump scheme) We seen this not so long time ago where within 24 hours BCH jumped from below 1K to over 2000$ I think some of the big investors try to increase Bitcoin Cash value and lure miners because now is not profitable to mine. I will stick with BTC, that proved already to be one of best investments out there for a long time.
162  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ERC20 tokens and wallets on: November 26, 2017, 10:35:10 PM
This might sound like a stupid question, but I am a little confused. Is all tokens on etherscan (https://etherscan.io/tokens) erc20 tokens? And thus, can I hold all tokens that are erc20 compatible in myetherwallet? Thanks!

Most of new ICO's are ERC20 based Token on Ethereum network but not all. You can store Tokens on Ethereum network, check the balance and transfer tokens in/out using www.myetherwallet.com, but if you want just to check balance for example after buying new Tokens from ICO or from exchange then you don't need to log in each time to myetherwallet website, more safe and secure is use ethereum explorer for current balance, I use this website https://etcchain.com/explorer because is more clear to me, I have around 15 different ERC20 Tokens in my portfolio and I find out this explorer more easy than https://etherscan.io
Most important is how you store and protect your private keys, that why hardware wallets like Trezor and Ledger Nano S are very popular.

Truckcoin, for example, is not based on Ethereum network but is still great project worth it to check out, ICO start on 1 December 2017. Very interesting is fact that TRKC is supported by existing company GoldeHill http://goldenhill.international/ with a little different approach, after Initial Coin Offering will end coin will be mined from their pool - not all coins will be distributed in ICO, and total coin supply is only 18.4 million, it's secure and anonymous currency that can be untraceable both from sender and receiver side, this feature can be disabled if needed, wallet will be very secure provided for both Windows and Mac OSX and on mobile phone wallet will be optimised with scalable blockchain (smaller size) for more information check their website https://truckcoin.io/

163  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why BTC is pumping now? on: November 26, 2017, 08:59:46 PM
Bloomberg Terminal stated a few days ago Bitcoin price rise to 14.000$ in 2018 by research analyst Ronnie Moas. He said BTC reached 0.5% of the global total money invested currently in cash, stocks, bonds and gold going into the cryptocurrency. The analyst sees the price bitcoin hitting $60.000 five years. That's a bold statement but when you check where Bitcoin was in January 2017 and where is now I agree with him, BTC has now momentum to break $10.000 mark by new year there is no doubt about that.
164  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How to participate in an ICO? on: November 26, 2017, 06:41:43 PM
Hello there guys I am new here in bitcoin or cryptocurrency. I just want to ask what is the meaning of ICO? Is it something to do with the posting and the campaign?

ICO stats for Initial Coin Offering, there is a great video on YouTube from a former IBM worker that decided to leave his corporate IBM job and focus on cryptocurrencies, mainly on new upcoming ICO's. His name is Ian Balina, and link to this video is here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dkzeJrdKDJk. Watching this video will help you guys understand differences between IPO and Crowdfunding/Kickstarter. Will give you an example of real companies from the stock market and price evaluation during that time (from start day 1 to stock exchange debut). I can't recommend any better source for easy understand basic principles of ICO's.

Details on our Monday’s meetup. Come meet us in London!

Thank you for the invitation - It looks like I will attend tomorrow evening for meetup with Monetha in London. And very soon we have Blockchain Summit 28th November 2017 in London, looks like Monetha will be presented with some really big players out there: Barclays, Western Union, Spotify and Bosh. CoinDesk from the press.

can someone confirmed if they burned unsold token. It's stating 108 million total coins on CMC and 500 million on WP. Which is correct, price is low now but b4 investing i would like a firm idea of the true total amount

See the above print from telegram-chat for the complete explanation by DEV Bruno.

If there is no more PRL purchased by crowdfunding (at 5000 PRL per ETH that is), the total supply will be about 108 million PRL.

400 Mil seems to be like default standard for most Tokens, why? If you know you can sell more why not? More money you can rise in crowdfunding more chances you will succeed. Some projects with ~500 million total supply I have: SONM, MTH, Kick, SUB. Smaller Total Token Supply will be better for price rise, I remember Subcontracts was around 0.039$ - 0.0275$ but as soon as PowerLedger POWR prised shoot to the moon, SNC after 48h followed from 0.0$ to 0.1$ today. Both are very similar projects SNC - Europe where POWER is in Australia. 400 Milion is OK but 108 will be much better.
167  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: too many ICO already on: November 25, 2017, 09:38:47 PM
There is no definition how to pick right ICO, that will guarantee you 100% success rate. Some projects are successful thanks to the strong community, great marketing and others because they keep their promise and progress on time with good transparency.
If ICO creators have the project with normal marketing, normal thread is generally good with working alpha version of the product even if they stay under radar still success rate will be much higher compared to ICO with a lot of hype,  more posts and bigger community but nothing that is ready, in the crypto world things move 10x faster.

I can recommend you Truckcoin (TRKC) ICO that is scheduled for 1 December. TRKC have few neat features: anonymity as default that can be disabled, scalable blockchain, and very secure wallet for WIN/OSX, Truckcoin is mobile friendly and you can mine TRKC coins after ICO on a pool. Total Token Supply 18.4Mil - very small.

Most important Truckcoin is supported by company GoldenHill International.

I will HOLD my Oyster Tokens as long as needed until prices reach price level this project really deserves  - around 1$.
Great news about new exchanges, it will give us better exposure, more buy orders and bigger volume. I hope PRL price stays affordable for next two weeks, so will buy more. Fingers crossed for 0yst3r.
169  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: eth can rise to 500usd it? on: November 25, 2017, 01:15:59 PM
Right now all crypto is taken by the storm on the rise, I just quickly checked my Blockfolio app and www.coinmarketcap.com - almost everything is on the green today, very nice.

Ethereum is closing to 500$.  I will say no more than in a week time.
170  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]🔵🔵 OYSTER 🔵🔵 Anonymous Storage Generates Revenue for Websites on: November 25, 2017, 12:02:15 PM
Wow, it wise quite a surprise today to see that the promised coins was distributed, but what happened to its price? I see it listed on coinmarketcap but there is a huge gap. Do you have any news about what are the next steps, and how the price is going to go up again?

Looks like Oyster Tokens dumps coming slowly to an end from bounties, since yesterday price is slowly recovering and rising. It may be last chance to have the opportunity and buy cheap PRL tokens from EtherDelta before is too late.

Any form distribution that gains more investors from flash quick sale ready to hold their Tokens long-term rather than sell out quickly is better.
171  Economy / Economics / Re: Can bitcoin be regulated! on: November 25, 2017, 08:39:27 AM
Government is more interested if Bitcoin is not used for criminal activity like money laundering or hiding illegal money.
Imagine you can hide millions without any risk or easy way to trace you "stack" because is somewhere in cold storage, a time when you had buried in the ground and make sure no one will find it is long gone now. Because is a competitor to traditional money gov will not fully regulate and put the law in place on something that they cant control in 100%! What they may do is make sure is taxed and somehow controller so is harder to use to illegal things.
172  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin = Laundering on: November 25, 2017, 06:34:11 AM
Some say that you cant claim or transfer your bitcoin to a bank because they will suspect you of laundering.

So if youre using Bitcoin, youre basically a laundering and a criminal Huh

I just want to understand if its any different or just similar. Thank you

This is a little bit different, you can transfer BTC back to FIAT after paying some fees or taxes, depending on where you are. I can see GOV starts watching closer cryptocurrency because it was used in past for criminal activity for sure. That why exchanges require now full ID verification before you can withdraw your money. If you sell bitcoin for FIAT bank will accept it as long as this transfers are looking legit - not 100K $ each transfer three times a day.

Bitcoin is using for many things same like money, so yes it can be used by criminals too, but I think the biggest problem we have is when someone takes the server down with your bitcoins inside and disappear that why with cryptocurrency you must always extra careful and follow rules - hardware wallet, cold storage, never leave founds on exchange after trading etc.

173  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ICO] MONETHA - Decentralised reputation with built-in payments on: November 24, 2017, 02:13:21 PM
Still waiting for their real product. If this happens then MTH will be more trusted and more new investors will invest in MTH and I am sure MTH has a bright future ahead and will have can go to the moon

So far Monetha kept their promise, there is s lot of controversy about sharing progress on GitHub (could be strategic move - protect source code from copycats) I am not an expert in this field, but Monetha Team attend for official blockchain events, and they didn't disappear forever with 37Mil,  according to white paper early 2018 is first E-commerce and the first version of the trust rating. Is not that far away, and still plenty of time to decide if you want to buy more/keep tokens or wait until the price reaches ICO level and sell - plenty of choices guys, just don't sell with loss, is the worst thing you can do right now.
174  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: How fast Bitcoin is spreading. on: November 24, 2017, 12:41:55 PM
Bitcoin is gaining value this year exceptionally well. This is the first time in history price was increasing by 1000$ within 100 days from 1K to 2K, 3K and now 8000$ and we need to remember Bitcoin was nearly 5 years below 1K and now in 2017 gained from 1000$ to 8000$ that's an amazing achievement.
At my work, no one was interested in BTC before but since it raised in value to 8K I have some colleagues asking me almost every day so definitively BTC is spreading.

175  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [ICO] MONETHA - Decentralised reputation with built-in payments on: November 24, 2017, 06:05:36 AM
I will cover my temporary Monetha loss with Utrust, no need to worry. I don't have 0.5 Mil Tokens so I am comfortable with waiting for first Q1 2018 when Monetha will start rolling out the first milestone. MTH was my first ICO I invested, recently purchased Oyster Pearl tokens 5.5x cheaper on ED from bounties than ICO. Timing and patience is crucial, I miss mth ico and rush to exchange thinking it will take off, it didn't.

We have another DEV in Monetha Team - congrats!
176  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][SNC] SunContract - Decentralized Energy Market TOKEN SALE IS LIVE NOW!!!! on: November 24, 2017, 05:12:59 AM
Finally, I can see some movement. I remember the time where SNC touch for a one day price 0.027$ and now finally start getting the attention that deserves for a long long time. Once I see this is a solid rise and price stay stable I will start accumulating more and support this project. I am already happy with this what I have but that's not the point, we should always support projects we believe have future.
177  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]🔵🔵 OYSTER 🔵🔵 Anonymous Storage Generates Revenue for Websites on: November 23, 2017, 11:35:56 AM
Nice to know this is a Bounty sale going on Ether Delta now. Thanks to that sale I have more than I want it in the first place. I wonder how long will last this sale. I think everyone who believes in this project will hold their tokens.
178  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]🔵🔵 OYSTER 🔵🔵 Anonymous Storage Generates Revenue for Websites on: November 22, 2017, 08:55:41 PM
I also hope that Oyster will make up for lost Monetha-money. Monetha is the reason I don't trust Utrust, too slick.

Oyster does look a lot smarter and useful and I haven't been spammed by advertisements of Oyster, something I can't say about Utrust.

Yes, you are right, my idea is simple, wait until Utrust hits exchanges and for sure price will first increase slightly, people that didn't participate in ICO and missed investment opportunity will start buying but after 2-3 weeks price should stabilize and if there is no demand will drop. I have a significant loss on Monetha and don't want to copy my mistakes again (ride on hype) I am fine with a waiting year or two but it would be nice if Blockfolio shows me profit not loss on future ICO's. PowerLedger was good choice I didn't want it buy because 1 Billion Tokens influence my decision, now price is 12-13x ICO price.

Oyster is a promising project. I am happy I found this ICO that someone recommended in new ico's topic.

179  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN]🔵🔵 OYSTER 🔵🔵 Anonymous Storage Generates Revenue for Websites on: November 22, 2017, 05:46:24 PM
totholio Oyster Pearl Telegram account is up and running, I can confirm that. Just joined today without any issues. On mobile make sure you open a link with your default browser: Apple on Safari and Android - the stock browser that your mobile phone is using. Once browser asks you to open Telegram make sure to click "Join" at the bottom screen before jump into chat.

CryptoGorilla I have my PRL's from range 0.00004940ETH/PRL - 0.00003000ETH/PRL. I really want it to participate in Oyster ICO and UTrust ICO too but the timing wasn't good for me, no money to buy until payday. Today I got some cheaper Tokens and I hope it will cover my recent purchase of Monetha tokens that didn't hold price too good.
