101  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] profit switching auto-exchanging pool - middlecoin.com on: January 02, 2014, 07:16:24 AM
What happens for me if I mine on the unstable server is that cgminer eventually freezes and crashes.

So it's eu for me for now.

I wonder if I might as well just straight up mine doge though.

you could but remmber you will have to sell them yourself on a exchange and try to get the best prices when i was doing it manual i never made much with prices goin up and down so much.
102  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] profit switching auto-exchanging pool - middlecoin.com on: January 02, 2014, 06:21:58 AM
When you mean load balance what do you mean?

I am still on US server as primary and I am going to leave it tonight and forget about it and see what happens Maybe do a switch tomorrow. But that wont be an accurate comparison as they were different times. Hmmmmmmm  anyways here are my stats -

US = PRIMARY STATS -

2hr 58 min Mining

Accepted = 235008

Rejected = 4096 - 1.7%

Stale = 1536 - 0.64%

GF = 90

HashPower = 1500Kh/s

So guys is this stable for the US or no?

When you mean load balance what do you mean? should share between the pools you have setup in the cfg i have eu and us setup for my 7970x2 and my 5870 and 6950 mine on the eu server cause they get way to many getwork failures to make anything on the us im just now testing it to see if it gets less getwork failures but still can mine on us and eu to get best of both my pings to both us and eu are are ok not great 100ms to us and 140ms to eu.

put that in the cfg to use load balance in cgminer.
"load-balance" : true,
103  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] profit switching auto-exchanging pool - middlecoin.com on: January 02, 2014, 05:07:28 AM
But what did you make the day before? They were probably unconfirmed/immature coins piled up that finally cashed out.

possable but eu for me is alot more stable the eff of my 5870 and 6950 on us was down to 10% cause of all the stales,rejects and tons of getwork failures im testing out them on load balance now to see how that performs.
104  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] profit switching auto-exchanging pool - middlecoin.com on: January 02, 2014, 04:44:38 AM
The US pool is more profitable, but has frequent disconnects. So if you have a large ping to the US server, or cgminer is unstable because of the disconnects, use the EU server. Otherwise stick with the US server.

The EU server is constantly on DOGE for the time being.

The disconnects will be fixed within a few days. They occur on coin switches, and I'll be rolling out some new code to do it cleaner.

The master has spoken...if its more profitable then I will switch back to the US server...

Haha, yeah I have noticed it seems more profitable despite the disconnects, but I am using the recompiled version that reconnects faster.

http://bal3wolf.centelia.net/MINING/cgminer-3.7.2-middle.zip

Thanks Bal3wolf!
The virus total of this was 26/46.. I don't dare using this.
Wether or not its false positives I don't know. hoping some experts on the area will fill in.

cgminer in itself is flagged by av some older versions my nortons wont even let me download as always up to user i dont force anyone to download and use it im using my 3.5.1test on 3 of my mining rigs no problem.

I decided to skip a Day and do moon coin... I got in there just before the rush died out.. mooncoin are now worth little, Anyway my ventures earned me the best payout of the week. I am now back on middlecoin to see how tonight goes.

MiddleCoin

Stratum discconnect Pool 0 (US)

Mining from EU pool now because of failover detect.

Soon as I saw H2o message that the US is more profitable I switched back to the US

Alot of disconnects in the US server (US server Stats below), i was getting not a single GF, under 1% Rejected and 0% stale.... which was after 3-4 hours of mining on the EU server as Primary.

I am just wondering what he means, Is it despite all of the coin switch DC, US is still more profitable? Or not when I am witnessing all these interruptions? If it's the later well then it's alittle contradicting as it was stated that there is a coin switch problem (code issue) with the US pool and but then H2o says if you get disconnects and Cgminer is not stable than go on EU server. What is classified as Unstable? Because of the coin switch issue isn't it always going to be like this for the US (Disconnects)? So I ask now - is it still more profitable after all that?

PS: Miner switched back to the US pool now... anyway so far now after 40 min of mining with US pool as Primary - 17 GF  0% Stale 1% Rejected
So I have accepted shares  etc....

WHen do you mark it down as being unstable? By having DC's throughout the Day every 5 minutes then once every 30 min then 3 in 5 minutes than none for 15 minutes? <<< This is what happens, so is that Normal? As this is what has been happening all week. I dont get it... I mean This is how the US server has always been for me, Same old Coin switch interrupt disconnection. But Shares do still come through but I am not sure how many should be coming through or not.

64512 Accepted After 45 min
512 Rejected

1500mh/s <<  Because of the D/C issues, I can hear my miner drop in speed and fans slow down every so often, the Mh/s Slow down... Which is why the graph hardly ever shows it at the right M/hs.

My question is - [US- Issues + Coin switches + Disconnects ]  VS [EU-Stable continuous flow of DOGE].... What is more profitable?

kinda confusing to me if us is suppose be most profitable i had my best day mining on eu made 0.042 with 2.2-2.4mhash.
105  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] profit switching auto-exchanging pool - middlecoin.com on: January 01, 2014, 06:09:32 PM
Guys if I switched to eu.middlecoin.com:3333 and its working fine, should I still switch to a different version of cgminer as specified earlier in the thread?

Also I switched to eu. Yesterday a couple hours before regular payout time and I didnt get a payout at all. Any reason why?

depends how is the stock one working for you my last one i compiled has worked great for me using eu as main and us as backup.

OK guys id like some of you to try this copy of cgminer so far for me its doin good.
http://bal3wolf.centelia.net/MINING/cgminer-3.7.2-test.zip

It still reports as version 3.5.1.

my bad i named it wrong.

I can't seem to make it work on my 7970. In the config file, when I change the kernel to scrypt I get a lookup gap error. Tried 0, 1, 2. Changed shaders to 2048. TC to 8192. Is this compiled for windows? Can't figure it out Cry

yea windows i used it on 3 boxes 1 with 2 7970s 1 5870 box and 1 6950 box no problem  you sure your cfg is setup corectly.
107  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] profit switching auto-exchanging pool - middlecoin.com on: December 31, 2013, 10:08:17 PM
I am also getting lots of getwork failures. Guess the servers are overloaded or somrthing.

Go back and read the last 10 pages of this thread or so for answers.

Yup, you need to recompile cgminer with some settings or download one from a member who posted it in the thread. I'm lazy to do the research for you so I post another cgminer compilation I found on the #middlecoin IRC channel by another member: http://k-dev.net/cgminer/ Thanks to Kalroth, worked fine for me.

I was the other below is the best one i got to work for me using eu as main and us as backup i get almost no getwork errors.

Whats the difference with this version?  Baelwolf?

And why isn't anyone commenting On the Unexchanged graph?

Its at 0.01 Right now With Unmmatured @ 0.0035

out of all the graphs that I have seen I have never seen the unexchanged so Great

i used the utils.c from the cgminer 3.9 seems to help im using both us and eu pool i have the eu as the main its keeping a good hash and low getwork failures for me.

Your right, with the compiled cgminer, I don't even know if there is a difference even, there maybe a difference but this is not showing in the profits... which is all we really care about. lol

I am patiently waiting for my immature and unexcahnged to change This would be an Instant  0.019 Just from the Unexchanged and Immature alone

yea iv compiled alot of differt versions and i even tried using the utils.c from cgminer 3.9 same results every time if anyone wants a certain version compiled that does not have a windows exe i can do it no problem just ask.
112  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] profit switching auto-exchanging pool - middlecoin.com on: December 31, 2013, 05:35:35 AM
I have compiled cgminer with differt tcp_keepidle tcp_keepintvl and the ones posted not really much differnce at all
113  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] profit switching auto-exchanging pool - middlecoin.com on: December 30, 2013, 01:08:04 PM
Ok I am now running 3.5.1 so far no Interrupts and Long poll new block messages, Have you ever seen those messages > New block detected from long pool or something like that ?, its funny because that was the first time i saw that. I was not getting any errors or anything but was getting a few Intterupts with those messages.

Anyway now So far 9 minutes on 3.5.1 compiled.. I have seen 1 Interrupt only and Not a single  - Long pool new block detected message like I was having with 3.7.2 STRANGE why only 3.7.2 was giving that message

Anyway - 24000 Shares 512 Rejected Not sure if its placebo effect and right place wrong time but Now iits showing a better flow of accepted shares seems like more than 3.7.2, Meh I think I will leave this one flowing for the rest of this cycle and see what happens.

By the way I just checked my Graph at MIddlecoin site... And this is the most Unexchanged ratio I have had in the 4 days I have been mining here, Quite a large chunk of the graph is Unexchanged. I think its possibly because of new coins being implemented.

i use cgwatcher and hide my cgminer window with it so i never even look at it i just look at cgwatchers stats it shows.
114  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] profit switching auto-exchanging pool - middlecoin.com on: December 30, 2013, 12:48:33 PM
Ahh OK so you did this?

You changed:

Code:
const int tcp_keepidle = 45;
const int tcp_keepintvl = 30;

to:

Code:
const int tcp_keepidle = 5;
const int tcp_keepintvl = 4;

And apparently its coded in twice in the file.

So how did you compile it into Cgminer.exe

Please let me know if you notice a difference with 3.5.1

As I heard people dont like 3.7.2 this is why I have been using 3.5.1 If you could pass on 3.5.1 so I can try also it may differ from Card to card. I found 3.5.1 to have no issues what so ever with my setup.

Anyway Are you seeing abit of Pool  interupts? or has this been happening for quite sometime and I happen to just noticed it because i went to my miner and looked at it.

EDIT SORRY - I didnt notice you uploaded 3.5.1 CHAMPION!

yes i edited it in both places and then compiled it no other changes by me.  Im looking at the forked versions of cgminer by vox and wolf to see if they work better on middlecoin.
115  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] profit switching auto-exchanging pool - middlecoin.com on: December 30, 2013, 12:29:08 PM
TO be honest I have seen no stand out difference between Cg miner versions I was using 3.5.1 But now since you compiled the 3.7.2 I will be using this..

I saw a weird thing in CGminer where the shares say they have been accepted, I saw a line that said new block detected on network before long poll

Then Say stratum from pool 0 work restart
Then stratum connection to pool 0  interrupted.

This happened a few times in the last 5 minutes I started the new compile CGminer.... Is this a coencedence? Or whats happening here? I have not seen this Long poll message before Or maybe I was not looking hard enough

That being said So far I have 17000 Accepted Shares but 0 Rejected, Not sure if its too early but ye, what do you think guys with the above message that happenend a few minutes ago.. I mean I am looking at it now and its not happening now All I see is Accepted Accepted . New block detected. Maybe just a coin switch?

PS: Did you use Baksmali to decompile? What program did you use to decompile and then re-compile

EDIT: Just as I did my PS: I saw that same message again Stratum connection pool interrupted followed by New block detected on long poll Followed by  Stratum work restart requested... And then Accepted accepted accepted 1 2 3 4 435435 Etc Smiley

not sure i just edited the file to change the time and compiled it i dont see a huge diff myself a little better it seems for my getwork failures.  You dont decompile got the source code from the website and compiled it with mingw.  Im compiling 3.5.1 with the changes now to see if it makes any diff uploaded both the 3.7 and 3.5 one i dont see much change getwork failures are a little lower for my 5870 and 6950 it seems so i guess thats good.

i compiled the changes for cgminer that was posted seems to be working a little better my getwork failures arent as bad.

http://bal3wolf.centelia.net/MINING/cgminer-middle.zip

Great work, can you tell us what version of CGminer you've recompiled?

3.7.2 i just did 3.5.0 to look at it and see if its better im not a pro at this i just spent a few hours learning and getting it all setup and working correct to compile.

Not so great payouts here. Since the last 3-4 days. I wonder if this is EU server related or just the coins we mine are not profitable anymore?  Undecided

well do the math mining some other pools/coins and see which will make you the most for me middlecoin has been making me a little over 20usd a day with 2200kh ltc would just make me like 14usd yesterday payout waset great for me but my pc did crash and was down for who knows how long 5 days i made 110usd even with downtime still avgs out to 22usd a day for me.

im interested what proof can you show your legit so on i wont get a payout for 3 more hours from my pool im on.
120  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] profit switching auto-exchanging pool - middlecoin.com on: December 29, 2013, 02:49:21 PM
Yeah it does, but it loses that block and requests a restart.  I don't think it is a coin change, appears to happen too often, but I could be wrong.

Google search points to network issue (have already discounted that) server load, ddos etc.

I'll watch it and see if it continues.

It is a coin change.

I've changed the way I do coin changes recently, and it looks like it has some issues. People are sometimes losing shares for up to 20 seconds after a coin switch. I need to work on it.

In the mean time, I'll reduce the number of switches we do.

would that be why im seeing alot more getwork failures i had them down pretty good and never had much of a issue on my 2 7970s but even those showed a large amount of getwork failures.
