You keep a premine for yourself that is worth over 3 months of POW mining. That's way too much and if you don't hold it in escrow with some well known community member I won't touch this. You can dump your overwhelming premine anytime and move on.

The dev says he will airdrop the majority of the premine to coin holders in the future, but without escrow there's no guarantee he will. If he wants to do an airdrop he should choose another method and do one now.

How long will it be until someone gets infected with a virus from one of those sites? Bitcointalk members make good targets for such attacks because they are likely to have bitcoins on their computers.
Tch, what do you want people to do about it?

Anyone having trouble with the Blackcoin QT wallet syncing? It did not sync for 2 days, I thought it might be the outdated wallet so I downloaded Blackcoin QT V1.2.4 but still the same problem.

Ive had this when a power outage has taken place......looking in the QT logs may show a bunch of errors if the chain has been corrupted.  I found removing and resyncing the chain corrects the problem.....

always backup wallet.dat :-)

Previously it took me 3, 4 days to transfer from an exchange to Coinbase. Such speed but costly transaction  Huh So if we were to send small amount of bitcoin it is definitely not worth it right?

For fast transactions today you need to pay at least 0.001 bitcoins in fees. There's not much point trying to send less than 0.001 bitcoins if you have to pay more than that in fees to get it confirmed quickly.

Do not deposit any money to Koinbi!

You won't be able to withdraw!

Koinbi is a SCAM!!!

thanks for your reminding.I'll pay attention to it. i don't use it.there are some scam recently.

Why would anyone in their right mind use a shitty new exchange when Komodo is already on Bittrex and Binance?? Please just stick to trusted exchanges such as these.

Binance is OK, but Bittrex won't let you withdraw anything unless you give it scans of your passport. If you do give it the scans the automated verification system doesn't work half the time, and you have to ask support to help. It can take months before support responds.

Bittrex lets you deposit, but you can't withdraw unless you get verified.
110  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Tokens (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][ICO] FuzeX Card - Spend your cryptocurrency anytime, anywhere! on: January 19, 2018, 05:30:19 AM
Visa recently refused to do any more business with card issuer WaveCrest. Established bitcoin debit card providers are struggling to find another partner.

How will FuzeX Card do business with visa? What partners will it use?

Major bitcoin debit card providers such as Wirex, TenX and Bitwala have issued
statements informing users that all VISA card operations have been cancelled effective
immediately following urgent communication from card issuer WaveCrest.

With zero notice, this leaves thousands of debit card users around the world trapped with no access to funds.

...

https://cryptoinsider.21mil.com/bitcoin-debit-cards-suspend-services-following-urgent-users-left-trapped-without-funds/

...

For some reason VISA has terminated all the Bitcoin debit cards that were issued
by WaveCrest. Originally they had banned people from outside Europe in September,
but apparently this was only the beginning of their crackdown.

Let´s hope that Bitwala, TenX & the rest of them manage to come up
with another solution to continue to offer Bitcoin debit cards.

112  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: WAVES | Ultimate crypto-tokens blockchain platform | WEEKLY AIRDROPS !!! on: January 19, 2018, 04:59:14 AM
Waves - great crypto. But unfortunately now smart contracts is not available on the Waves platform. As I understand I can create simple tokens only and this fact not very good in competition with Ethereum. Do you plan to implement smartcontracts for Waves?
Thank you

Two posts above yours it says smart contracts for Waves are coming in the current quarter. There isn't long to wait now.

WAVES can be purchased in the same way now, many upgrades are planned for release in the current quarter, smart contracts, additions to hardwares, mobile application updates, the coin looks quite undervalued, the potential on the long side of this coin can be no less than NEO, if the team continues to perform set tasks at a given pace, the community in waves is also quite large and active, in addition, many expect that decentralized exchanges will be a big trend for the coming years, waves are just a coin from a given niсhe.
113  Other / Meta / Re: Stop fake bitcointalk clones on: January 19, 2018, 04:25:09 AM
These are mainly bad. There is some good in them, though. They can be used as a sort of archive. Because of the scraped content, some deleted/edited posts may still be on that parallel site and so you can use that to potentially bust alternate accounts.
Think of it as if there was no Trashcan section and everything was available.

How long will it be until someone gets infected with a virus from one of those sites? Bitcointalk members make good targets for such attacks because they are likely to have bitcoins on their computers.

Was the KryptKoin in the swap the same coin that was listed on bittrex? I didn't hear about the swap until now.

Hi. Yes, it was advertised extensively on bitcoin talk (including the old KTK post), socials, etc. All known KTK hodlers were contacted. The spirit lives on, come join us!

What about people who had coins on bittrex? Were they missed out from the swap?
115  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: How to send bitcoin Quickly? on: January 19, 2018, 04:01:15 AM
You need to pay a high fee to send transactions quickly. The required fee constantly changes, but today it's about 0.001 bitcoins (100000 satoshis).

Check this website before you send anything. Scroll down to where it shows the best fee to pay

https://bitcoinfees.earn.com/

Today it says pay 470 satoshis/byte

Quote
Which fee should I use?

The fastest and cheapest transaction fee is currently 470 satoshis/byte, shown in green at the top.
For the median transaction size of 226 bytes, this results in a fee of 106,220 satoshis.

Please note that many wallets use satoshis-per-kilobyte or bitcoins-per-kilobyte, so you may need to convert units. See our instructions for more details.

If your wallet won't let you pay such a high fee then switch to another wallet that will.
116  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Hi, Sent some BTC via breadwallet but now stuck on: January 19, 2018, 03:54:25 AM
This is your unconfiemed transaction.

https://blockchain.info/tx/7f257fcb1ed29154ca102352788cf76b367d5c2d712918db84863ce8f763a0ec

The reason it's unconfirmed is because it is sending coins from earlier transactions that haven't yet been confirmed.

These are the earlier transactions, and they pay a fee ten times lower than required. First get these confirmed using a transaction accelerator service and the other should confirm by itself.

hey hey hey, downloaded latest wallet and its only 25 weeks behind, thats half a year.

i see all my transactions from 2014 are gone and instead it looks like i've been refunded with one transaction of how much money i had.

you guys fucked up it seems.

There was a switch to a new blockchain and mining algorithm.

As a side announcement:

After Launch of faircoin 2, Will not be possible anymore to claim for unused coins from the fork of 25/02/2015

It has been more than two years of time to do that.  And a limit needs to be taken in order to have the rest of the coins available for more technical and ecosystem development, and not anymore in random users, that for so long time, (more than 3 years since the launch) has not open a wallet with the coins that was given by free.

Still if you are reading us, and are pending to open your wallet since so long time, can check it and ask for the coins to support@fair-coin.org until 27/06/2017

is the old dotcoin scrypt blockchain working?

Coinswap to the present token DOT and Scrypt-mining (& all the mining pools @Cryptopia) are all gone more than 5 months ago. You have to check the Forums @Cryptopia to see some info and possible updates. I do not see any reason for them to run the old blockchains and enable transfer of old DOT from old mining pool to any old wallets; Nevertheless, You can still get the private keys for your coin addresses without syncing with the old blockchain. How to get old coins swapped to new DOT is up to a ticket and contacting the support team.  Wink

This is the official announcement about it.

DOT Swap Update

Some of you will have noticed that the DOT wallet has been in maintenance for the last couple of days. This is because we have been finalizing development of the DOT swap to the Ubiq platform. You can read about the Ubiq platform and get your new wallet here https://ubiqsmart.com/. We are very excited about this change and have high hopes for the future of DOT on the Ubiq platform.

Here’s how the swap is going to work:
• Any confirmed balance of DOT you had on Cryptopia has been swapped 1:1 for the new token
• Any deposits received in the next 30 days will be swapped by us, just follow the steps on our forum: https://www.cryptopia.co.nz/Forum/Thread/2469

The final date to swap your DOT will be the 29th of October 2017. After this date we will still consider swaps but we will process them manually via Support Tickets.

Why did we choose to swap DOT?
DOT recently joined the list of coins that have affected by 51% attacks. We managed to identify and respond to the attack sooner rather than later though the attacker did manage to make an impact on the market. We covered the lost DOT from our own reserves. Due to the amount of hash that can readily and easily be thrown around at small networks these days we had to ask ourselves if it still makes sense for DOT to run on its own network as it is clear to us that we cannot afford secure the network ourselves, and that the demand for DOT is not sufficient enough to attract the amount of distributed computing power required to sufficiently secure the network either. We decided to perform a swap of the DOT blockchain to a Ubiq asset, the use case of DOT is not based around mining or proof of work so we don't think anything is lost in moving DOT to a token platform
