103  Economy / Speculation / Re: Why Bitcoin price are dropping? on: December 08, 2014, 11:07:45 AM
Its good that its dropping so I can accumulate more and sell it 1 month after bitcoin halving Smiley

Hopefully the halving affects the price well!
104  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: where did Blockchain.info go?!!! on: December 08, 2014, 11:06:48 AM
Yeah OP's right.
and only blockchain has removed from https://bitcoin.org/en/choose-your-wallet

mistake or intentional? Huh

Intentional.

They discussed that the 'security' wasn't strong enough.. Even though users can make it extremely strong themselves by using 2fa and verification.

107  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: What should I do with 5k$ ? Sept[2014] on: December 08, 2014, 11:03:16 AM
$2k should be invested into bitcoin and stored offline, paper wallets.

$1k into mining.

$2k into investments of other types such as altcoins or gambling site investments.

109  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Multi-sig or escrow? on: December 08, 2014, 11:01:18 AM
Or: why escrow when there is multi-sig?

MultiSig alone can be a problem if one party disappears before the transaction is complete.  There is no way for the remaining party to acquire control of the funds.

A 2-of-3 multisig shouldn't have this problem. Even if the escrow service provider disappears, the two parties can still discuss and clear the transaction themselves.

I guess Danny was talking about MultiSig without escrow when he made the comment above.

And even with escrow, if the buyer and escrow disappear then multisig fails.
110  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin crowdfunding? on: December 08, 2014, 10:59:34 AM
You'd be better off using kickstart with dollars and using bitcoin to convert into dollars and back.

You could state that all funds will become bitcoins or something.
111  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: UPLOADING "BITCOIN" VIDS MAKES US RICH!!!!!! on: December 08, 2014, 10:58:35 AM
I think you are a disgrace to the currency. This is not how it should be done. You basically described how to set up a pyramid scheme...

It is a pyramid scheme on the $ side, like many things.

How in heaven's name is Bitcoin currency a pyramid scheme "on the $ side"!? WTF
112  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Second coming of Satoshi on: December 08, 2014, 10:57:49 AM
This is meant to ruffle some feathers.  We need a second coming of Satoshi.
I think this is the opposite of what we need. I argue that the community takes what satoshi has said as gospel, and this is a bad thing.

I am not sure if satoshi is a single person or a group of people, but I think he should have presented himself as a group of people, at least for a short while before he decided to leave the community.
Well he never presented himself as a group but just an individual. There might be a possibility its a group,
but I think satoshi improved on the concept, by consulting lots of other coders on forums.

His posts on the forum sounded as if they were from one person. Perhaps the writer for the forum represented the group?

I think it was an individual.
113  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: The transaction fee is just ridiculous. on: December 08, 2014, 10:57:12 AM
It's called miner fee / transaction fee.
The fee is very low compared to credit card / paypal

The fee is only 0.0001 BTC
And the fee is only to appreciate the miner who help to secure P2P bitcoin network

You don't even need to pay it usually. And either way it's a cent.
114  Other / Off-topic / Re: What do you wish you could buy with btc ? on: December 08, 2014, 10:56:30 AM
