You yourself couldn't earn more than 9 Merits in 3 months or so, and you are hoping to become a Merit source to reward and help others in this regard. Maybe we could understand this better if you could simply say that you have some children (low ranked accounts) to feed and you can't do it like that because you are disabled (not constructive/helpful), and now you are asking for a never-ending donation (Merit Source) to be able to feed them (the accounts) without any hurdles. I can be wrong, but it just feels like that when someone like you stands up for a position like that. Because if it was that much easy to become a Merit Source, I think there would have been more Merit Sources than the spammers themselves by now. I do not think that it is the only and the correct criteria for selecting merit source. Some people might not be able to contribute much content here but can evaluate post made by other people. That is why admin has not mentioned any requirements of merit points while applying for the post of merit source. This case is not very strong though as OP is not aware about the declaration admin made for applying and knowledge of forum rules is a must for this position. I just want to help improve the posts. Seems like people only want to empty their bucket of shit on me.

Look man, I've been here since 2014 and I just want to reward people with Merit when I think they deliver a good contribution. I am not the "poor" man with low rank accounts.

I have best intentions, but thanks for your lovely reponses.

As coin developer for multiple coins I want to reward people with Merit when they deliver good contributions to this forum. Can you please make me a "Merit source" so I can keep rewarding people when the post stuff that really helps. Currently my sMerit is zero. Thanks in advance!

hello keesdewit, Thanks for all your time, your dedication, and your efforts to help fixing serious technical issues of Solaris network due to PoS. I am just a little bit curious that whether you are official team of Solaris project, or you simply come from AMS project and joint Solaris as a new partnership between those two projects? thanks again, keesdewit, for your coming answers. Your welcome sir. I am glad to be part of the Solaris team. All team members are very serious and friendly people. I am responsible for technical development. Seen the fact that AmsterdamCoin has nearly the same code base we can have good synergy. Eventually I will put all the knowledge that I obtained from Solaris into AmsterdamCoin as well. Result will be that both parties can have well working software and blockchains. Features can be build for one and taken over in the other. I see bright future

Hi everyone, we can expect an update for AmsterdamCoin the comming weeks. The cause of the chain splitting lies in the seesaw reward distribution algorithm. Our next update will switch off seesaw in our effort to create a stable blockchain and network. Solaris is now running very smooth with these changes and I will put all that knowledge in AmsterdamCoin as well. Finally we can have a coin that works well and is suitable for making payments. In the meanwhile Solaris also bought an Android wallet. I will also buy the same Android waller for AmsterdamCoin when we have it all stable.
Maybe I missed something. I have a problem with transactions. In March I transferred the coins from the exchange in my wallet. they are displayed by erroneous operations. > 2000 AMS Before that, I brought booty, and it turned out that I and the pool were in different chains. > 2000 AMS Why should I suffer? Will I bring my coins back? I can imagine you did because this went all so fast. We had to rollback the chain because of fraudulent transactions. Thats is why you see those rejected transactions. All your withdrawals will be restored to your CoinExchange balance. I have already agreed this with them to happen after our update. I am not here to let people lose their money.

we are good now, just received first MN 0.799 reward and first stake 0.199 cheers Now thats good news to start a weekend At the last moment at block 263995 it got very exciting. 20 minutes went by and still no block. Sweat in my hands DDOSsing the block explorer with my F5 button it finally switched to block 263996. I quickly checked if our fix did the job and it did. Masternodes now get 80% of the block value and stakers 20%. ZeroSolaris works like a charm. Happy weekend Hey Kees I would like to personally thank you for all of your efforts in getting things stabilized and moving again. Great job to you and the team for taking your responsibilities to the network seriously, and making the hard choices necessary in order to provide a more robust network going forward. This is a great day for Solaris and is worthy of celebration. I'm cracking a cold one tonight in your name... and then another one for Solaris!!!! You are very welcome! It was indeed a hard time, but now I am fully convident that we have released a great coin that will come very far. Important to say is that I could not have done this without the help of our great team.

Masternodes now get 80% of the block value and stakers 20%. Happy weekend And how many times per day does MN get paid for the block? ------ Master Nodes = 540 60 sec Block. 60min * 24h 1440 = Block / 24h 1150.56 (XLR) / 24h 1150.56 / 540 = 2.130666667 (XLR) Master Nodes = 24x I'm not confusing anything? Its actually very easy. In a perfect world there are 1440 blocks per day and a constant number of masternodes of 540. So we divide the number of blocks by the number of masternodes to find out how many payments one masternode would get. 1440/540 = 2.66 payments per masternode per day. A single block reward would pay 0.8 XLR to your masternode. Seen the fact we have 2.66 payments per day and 0.8 value we can multiply 2.66 by 0.8. 2.66 * 0.8 = 2.128 which means your single masternode will pay you 2.128 XLR per day. At current rate thats just over $13 per day per masternode. Hope this helps

Is there a way to monitor my staking weight with this wallet? Most POS wallets give you a little more info than only staking or not staking.
Solaris proof of stake does not give more weight to older coins or clients with longer consecutive uptime. The only weight you have in staking is your (mature) XLR balance. Think of the block reward each minute like a lottery and each mature XLR is a ticket that increases your chances of winning.
|
|
|
Blockchain appears stuck again, 45mins since the last block.
Just have a little patience. Its just started with staking and it needs some time to steady out.
|
|
|
Just keep your wallets open for staking. I had mine open, but I shut it down now. Sorry about that. We should stake a new block soon.
log file is full of such messages, so seems error in the wallet codebase and we will never found a new block 2018-04-16 13:51:33 ERROR: CheckBlock() : Couldn't find masternode/budget payment 2018-04-16 13:51:33 CreateNewBlock() : TestBlockValidity failed 2018-04-16 13:52:14 keypool reserve 16881 2018-04-16 13:52:14 keypool return 16881 2018-04-16 13:52:25 CheckStakeKernelHash() : using modifier 12586302339 at height=250873 timestamp=2018-04-10 02:56:44 for block from height=250837 timestamp=2018-04-10 02:19:55 2018-04-16 13:52:25 CheckStakeKernelHash() : pass protocol=0.3 modifier=12586302339 nTimeBlockFrom=1523326795 prevoutHash=92cc18c1a2307d5537eae888345dd0aba847ab1af5a3f11400fa02fd81a01f9c nTimeTxPrev=1523326795 nPrevout=0 nTimeTx=1523886782 hashProof=0000028582aef2c4e87f51c6413d8d8299418ba0181e9fde52e4c949f20bcbea 2018-04-16 13:52:25 CreateNewBlock(): total size 1521 2018-04-16 13:52:25 ERROR: CheckBlock() : Couldn't find masternode/budget payment 2018-04-16 13:52:25 CreateNewBlock() : TestBlockValidity failed 2018-04-16 13:52:52 CheckStakeKernelHash() : using modifier 12586302339 at height=250873 timestamp=2018-04-10 02:56:44 for block from height=250837 timestamp=2018-04-10 02:19:55 2018-04-16 13:52:52 CheckStakeKernelHash() : pass protocol=0.3 modifier=12586302339 nTimeBlockFrom=1523326795 prevoutHash=92cc18c1a2307d5537eae888345dd0aba847ab1af5a3f11400fa02fd81a01f9c nTimeTxPrev=1523326795 nPrevout=0 nTimeTx=1523886782 hashProof=0000028582aef2c4e87f51c6413d8d8299418ba0181e9fde52e4c949f20bcbea 2018-04-16 13:52:52 CreateNewBlock(): total size 1000 2018-04-16 13:52:52 ERROR: CheckBlock() : Couldn't find masternode/budget payment 2018-04-16 13:52:52 CreateNewBlock() : TestBlockValidity failed 2018-04-16 13:53:18 CheckStakeKernelHash() : using modifier 17725792333 at height=182720 timestamp=2018-02-19 08:29:44 for block from height=182684 timestamp=2018-02-19 07:54:36 2018-04-16 13:53:18 CheckStakeKernelHash() : pass protocol=0.3 modifier=17725792333 nTimeBlockFrom=1519026876 prevoutHash=aae4c2a84031e6034fd86cdee520130374a5f73468f86e17c5c165708be34c9a nTimeTxPrev=1519026876 nPrevout=0 nTimeTx=1523886821 hashProof=000007a888720dcb4766c4fc08846ae715561dbd41af8eb32e6d8e85f3db2bc3 2018-04-16 13:53:18 CreateNewBlock(): total size 1000 2018-04-16 13:53:18 ERROR: CheckBlock() : Couldn't find masternode/budget payment 2018-04-16 13:53:18 CreateNewBlock() : TestBlockValidity failed 2018-04-16 13:53:55 keypool reserve 16881 2018-04-16 13:53:55 keypool return 16881 2018-04-16 13:54:10 CheckStakeKernelHash() : using modifier 36642697932 at height=256738 timestamp=2018-04-14 09:44:18 for block from height=256701 timestamp=2018-04-14 09:08:57 2018-04-16 13:54:10 CheckStakeKernelHash() : pass protocol=0.3 modifier=36642697932 nTimeBlockFrom=1523696937 prevoutHash=c4e8942e6d00cd05354ad2dbf27260b628175c88f9d24aa5f2bcac9899b0f839 nTimeTxPrev=1523696937 nPrevout=0 nTimeTx=1523886890 hashProof=000002c0a75eb10366d7596525cb5a4a7004eb88ea30dae414523e3faca6b95f 2018-04-16 13:54:10 CreateNewBlock(): total size 1000 2018-04-16 13:54:10 ERROR: CheckBlock() : Couldn't find masternode/budget payment Your wrong again. I am investigating on the split problem. We have exact the same code as PIVX has so I do not understand why it splits and PIVX does not. My feeling says that staking is not distributed properly. In other words, we have too little stakers.
If anyone has a clue, please let me know!
I would like to stake but my coins are still stucking on Coinexchange, any idea when they will open market and wallet again? No use in opening any market while the chain goes splitting. I will first try to solve that by going through all lines manually and compare them with the original PIVX code.

Merit is a perfect addition for this great forum! Keeps away all these shitty spammers that only post for their activity.
New users can also become copper member for just a tiny amount of bitcoin. It will take away some restrictions for newbee.

If your coins are gone they are probably at the source that you have sent them from. This is because the blockchain has been rolled back. If you did a withdrawal from CoinExchange then your coins will be refunded.
i did from coinexchange at march 9 2018 Chain was rolled back to 17th Feb 2018 04:50:56 So what happens to those of us that purchased AMS on CoinExchange after Feb 17th and still have our coins on CoinExchange?? Thanks, MRD Im in contact with CoinExchange and all balances will be restored at some point. Nice to hear that. Do you know whet it will be done? Sure You think that I would say nothing here? LOL

And I can think of an even longer list.
