8x1070 is easier to get working, requires fewer risers, and is less cards to troubleshoot.
570 might be a bit more profitable though

so far im very pleased with SMOS - i got a rig of MSI Titanium 1070TI cards operational in record time, and overclocked safely to +205/+650/130W for ~500sol per card
I want to overclock further, but im not sure how to recognise if/when ive clocked too far. does SMOS crash, reset the clocks, or otherwise report the error rate?

I need help. I don't really know what I am doing. I know enough to get myself in trouble. I have SMOS and want to mine ZEC and send an exchange account. I cannot figure out the miner configure to put my wallet address in it.
Here is the default config -zpool zec-eu.coinmine.pl:7007 -zwal tytanick.0 -zpsw x -mport -3333
How exactly do I do this?
Thanks for the help.
if you have no idea what you are doing why you using it then, that said how do you expect anyone to explain it to you since you have no idea what you are doing, Linux requires ya to know a bit before hand which no one can explain that too you, gotta learn that on your own. someone could explain it too you but chances are you wont understand a lot of it since you have no idea what you are doing in the first place Thats a pretty non-helpful dickish response OP: whats your pool info?

I picked up a set of 7x 1070Ti cards today (yeah i know not 1080ti), looking for a good route on mobo/cpu/ram(4G?)/psu(2x750w?) for them, assuming i use the SimpleMining OS from usb stick. my local shops dont carry low-end CPUs so im pretty much forced to order my celeron (or a ryzen?) off amazon

I`m Having HUGE problems with withdrawls, and when contacting them, they just give you the run around about delays etc, it`s been over 2 weeks since i asked for a 2000$ EFT transfers and still waiting, this is the fourth transfer i do, and had problems with 3 of them. i will be looking for an alternative for the future.
ive done about a dozen ETF withdrawals, and it does take about 2 week on average - and works every time.

is it safe to connect 1080ti thru one cable using spliiter so one cable connects two pcie on card when using 65% power settings
You mean like this ![](https://ip.bitcointalk.org/?u=https%3A%2F%2Fi.imgur.com%2FMO91JuG.jpg&t=663&c=isq5wht2IbxWJw) I've been powering my 1080ti's like that for 6 months now without a problem. Cables don't even get a little hot even at 75% TDP. I thought it was unsafe to do this for video cards drawing more than 200W? that depends more on the quality of cable. good quality 16awg wiring can handle 300W+, while lower quality power supplies may get hot wires above 200W. at 75% tdp the card should draw less than 200w

This bid shouldn't dignify a response. The OP has already been offered BTC1.7 and declined it!
Eh, that was when BTC was ~6000. So in USD premium terms my bid was higher! ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) ^Thats true, and it definitely affects the price when you consider these were selling commonly for 3-4BTC approx 2yrs back. However, theres a pretty small marketplace of these coins, and only 700 in existence. I like to think that if im stubborn for long enough, someone will want it badly enough to agree on my asking price.

I understand the premium (in btc) might take a bit of a hit from the USD increase, hence the price dropping to try and find the market.
Seems like the sweetspot is in the 1.7-2.0 range but im not in any great rush to sell the coin, i just want to add a bit of liquid BTC instead of having too much of my portfolio in collectible coins. I will probably continue to reduce the price slowly looking for interest, and maybe even put it up to auction if its not sold by christmas.
PS: a few interested buyers have asked for better/uncapsuled photos. The airtite has a lot of surface scuffs that dont exist on the coin below, so i will try to do something about that over the weekend. I can assure the coin is in great condition, and can even offer another coin from the same roll for sale if theres a specific detail you do/dont want to see.
A big issue is my Galaxy S5 sucks at closeups, so i might look at other options to photograph it better (on a scanner bed, renting a DSLR, etc?)
Im happy to respond here or by PM to any bids or questions. As previously mentioned, Id love to do an exchange in person within the Toronto area.

pushed to the top with a bit of a price drop. remember that this is pre--fork(s), so theres actually about 1+0.15+0.01 = 1.16BTC under the hologram

Yea, I don't want to mess with trying to clean it. It's unfortunate that they weren't shipped in proper storage. This is a normal process, it's going to affect most of the bitcoin bowl coins out there. In time, I expect most will have a far greater level of toning which could be nicer or worse. Hard to say.
mine experienced discolouration as well.

im confused how this works - can you just peel the hologram and its a private key for the 0.041BTC? (and if so, why is this selling for half that?)

Hey guys,
I was a member here since 2011, but it seems my account got deleted during some forum migration.
Anyway, I have a quick question: I have an offer, where I could be managing a small Antminer S9 farm (with 20x ASIC's) in a different country. I would install Awesome Miner on a PC that is on the same network as the miners, and then remote connect to the PC there via TeamViewer or VNC.
My question is, would this be enough to maintain the miners? There would be a person that can power off/on the PSU's and check the ambient temperatures, but that would be all.
I've never worked with ASIC miners before, so I have no idea how often they need maintenance (and how often they break down)? I can go there a few times per year for cleaning the fans and stuff like that.
Cheers!
im not sure what awesome miner is, but i can vouch for teamviewer. I had about a dozen mining devices (antminers mostly) in a remote hosting alongside a crappy laptop that had my teamviewer account running. I could easily TV in and then SSH/html access the miners locally. Needing to reboot/cylcle the powersupply or miners in person was pretty uncommon (most could run months at a time without any issue) and typically just the result of my pushing an overclock too far

im not seeing many people calling top on this yet, so i think I will: $6225
I think weve gotr one more push of ~$100 to hit a new ATH, then we see some corrective action down <$5700 and consolidation in the $5800-6000 range while waiting for either a reason to rally (good news/continued buying) or crash (FUD. china banned us again?)
Good call. i think itll dip further. this is getting topheavy and im sure a growing group of pre-2017 buyers start needing to seize their gains and diversify at least a portion of the holdings. (ie: the "im a millionaire now" bitcoin owners who only have $50,000 worth of other investment types)

Speaking of, looks like the shitcoin shuffle is back in swing. I really wish I could time these things.
$6150 was a great top to hit, so im pretty sure this will be a 24hr correction to $5500$5650ish Just in case i set a slew of buy orders going as deep at $5100 in case the market decides it wants to play rough

Just like bitcoin. It's all perceived value. Its a collectors item. A piece of bitcoin history. A 1933 Double eagle is now worth $7.6 million. You never know. Your grandkids will thank you. http://mentalfloss.com/article/53557/10-most-expensive-coins-and-banknotes-worldI still have btc for which I paid $2.50. If there is something I want or like I'll pay a few BTC for it. Great value to the receiver but no skin off my back. Price is relative. exactly. the gold/silver coins have done quite well in value, considering they went for ~1.15BTC originally and now fetch 2+BTC (i think up to 3.2btc at one point in 2015?)

I have a similar bar, protected and in perfect condition ![Wink](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/wink.gif) .. this bars are beautiful i paid for my bar inclusive of shipping and import tax near 1.5 btc ... beautiful casascius item ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) good luck whit this auction in 2014 (2015?) i got a pair of bars like this in near-mint condition witht he plastic wrap still intact and i think the price was around 1-1.2BTC at the time I have buyed this in June 2017. good to know. a lot of the common casascius items lose the BTC premium as bitcoin price skyrockets, but the small batch stuff seems to retain it a lot better. These bars look fantastic too. ive left mine in the kludgy plastic wrap, but one day i want to look at a proper aethetic method of preserving it (maybe a special type of lamination/vaccuum-seal pouch that doesnt have any folds/creases, or having a custom airtite molded?)

Stubborn man and stupid in this case. Charlie can hedge the bet for 32btc on the 2x futures market its a relatively clever/fair agreement actually, since the trade will only occur if the segwit2x chain mines 100 blocks. (without an EDA mechanism). If sw2x fails to gain traction on flagday it might not see more then 20-50 blocks mined before everyone essentially abandons back to sw1x. Its tough to see that chain reaching 100 blocks without bringing substancial support on day 1, and if it gets that support then theres a reasonable chance the rest of the network could follow suit. it at least offers Ver more safety than a day1 trade would
