why is a testnet release promoted as REV2 when it doesn't work on the mainnet? and where are the downloads for the mainnet client? the links just link me to the homepage
you're not the only one, I can't download the client from XC-official.com, it just keeps sending back to homepage. Also, no PGP keys, no checksums, etc. What gives?
|
|
|
really though, where are the client file checksums and PGP key signing off on the releases? give me some confidence here!
|
|
|
I would be much more inclined to take XC seriously if atcsecure would publish checksums of the wallet files, signed off by his PGP key. I am very interested in this coin but the way this latest release was pushed is a bit uncomfortable, there is literally zero guarantee that that file is the legitimate release file.

Like other member suggested, with mycelium android wallet you spend coins by scan or input of private key and after tx broadcast wallet delete every trace of that private key.
I am looking to do this server-side, not from any app though.

hmm if im understanding correctly... importing into blockchain.info wallet would be quick.. if you imported into bitcoin-qt you would need to -rescan which takes like 15-20 mins on my pc.. perhps quicker on yours (bu hopefully not much, or i need a new laptop) Is there a way to import a private key and sign a transaction with it sweeping funds to a new address, on the fly, with Bitcoind? Or, to achieve something like the speed of a Blockchain.info private key sweep, would you need to have the blockchain in a database and manually craft the transaction? Any input is appreciated.
Exactly. I'd like to mimic the import private key process of Blockchain.info, but on my own server. Any ideas?

DERP! I meant 2 and 4 hahahaha
Thanks for the update, duly noted. I'll let you all know when the shirts are done.

I like #2 and #2. Great design btw! Are you printing out or making them yourself?
Thanks! Can you clarify which #s you liked? I'm having them printed by a specialty shop locally here in California. They do great work.

Just a heads up, designs are going to be sent to printers shortly, so get your vote in while you can. So far we are going to be doing 75% tri-color and 25% the teal blue design.

Are these shirt gonna be sold somewhere?
I will be selling them in limited batches on www.ounce.me when they're ready, most likely in about 2-3 weeks.

Thanks for the input you guys, the Teal is my personal favorite as well. I will keep you updated when the shirts are printed.

Presume for a moment that theymos was visionary in retaining Mr. Schlongtrain/Wangbus/whatever and Co. and that they indeed are capable and follow through in delivering $1mil in added value to the forum.
If you suspend disbelief momentarily, there could be some interesting possibilities. If the new forum fully integrates things like cryptographic authentication and signing of 'posts' and transactions between users, as well as the ability to create complex conditional transactions ... then it could be very interesting indeed.
Did you read the bio on these guys? They have combined a few years of post-Bachelors computer science experience under their belts. $1m for this project is absurd, especially given that the firm doesn't even have its own website. What kind of software development firm can get away with charging $1 million for a project when they themselves don't even have a website? This just looks awful, all around. Gweedo et al. raise very valid points across the board.

Armory is stuck at Block 281532 even though Bitcoind is up to date, any ideas? Nothing non-obvious in the logs either.
Edit: just deleted the database folder in Armory and restarted, fixed itself.
