101  Economy / Economics / Re: Wonder how many people can hold BTC for more than 3 years on: March 21, 2018, 12:51:45 PM
A lot of people actually and I don’t think they will tell everyone that they have bought bitcoin at a certain amount and have hold them for 3 years or more, some of them prefered to be discreet about it and enjoy the profits freely without everyone knowing. And I am actually aiming to hold bitcoins and other altcoins for 4-5 years and compare its price when I bought it until it’s current price by then.
102  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Where do you find interesting ICO ? on: March 21, 2018, 09:09:29 AM
I mostly find great ICO projects in this forum then I do some research on websites and look for more details about the project to know more about it and the people behind the project too. And sometimes like rarely my friend tells me through telegram about a certain ICO project coming too.
103  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: how I was deceived by the selling bitcoin on: March 20, 2018, 10:07:01 AM
Bitcoin now is selling like pancakes so any opportunity a person who has interest with bitcoin will take advantage of what you have. Be very careful with these kinds of people, they will do anything in their mind just to get hold of cryptocurrencies. If you make any transactions, make sure you know the person or get to know the person first if someone vouches him/her because this might happen to you.
104  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Bitcoin will under 5000 within this month do you think so on: March 19, 2018, 11:18:46 AM
Of course the whales manipulate the market price but I don’t think bitcoin will reach $5k or below that. I don’t think some whales and investors would allow that to happen or else they’ll just withdraw everything and the rest of the people will follow as well. That wouldn’t look good in everyone’s portfolio. But I do hope bitcoin will recover before this month ends.
105  Economy / Economics / Re: Long term argument for bitcoin on: March 18, 2018, 09:27:16 AM
Being the first cryptocurrency/digital coin is very important and if it was not for bitcoin, I don’t know if these other altcoins will ever be created in the first place so you should be very grateful bitcoin was created. Although there are some altcoins that have somewhat the same feature as bitcoin but it won’t replace bitcoin.
106  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I Received An Email From MyEtherWallet on: March 18, 2018, 02:19:33 AM
There are lots of phishing sites today and really looks like the real ones. And I don’t think Myetherwallet sends out emails to their customers who registered the site. Just make sure it is the correct website though and always double check them. That’s also one of the reasons why I don’t really participate in airdrops, it’s like you’re inviting people to scam you or something.
107  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bcash to 20,000$ end of 2018 on: March 17, 2018, 03:41:47 PM
Nah I don’t think it’ll reach that amount by end of this year. Just because bitcoin reached $20k last year doesn’t mean its fork reaches that amount right away. Maybe it could or maybe it wouldn’t but one thing’s for sure, I highly doubt it happening this year.
108  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Thoughts on Straight HODL vs Trading on: March 16, 2018, 12:27:50 PM
Since the market now is kind of crazy and fuzzy; this week it's like bearish but the week after it'll be bullish. So for me I think the best thing someone could do especially when the market is red is you just buy a certain coin you think will make you earn great profits. Then hold then until the market is bearish back again then you can start trading them if you'd prefer trading over holding for long term.
109  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What can you suggest to new investors in crypto? on: March 16, 2018, 10:22:17 AM
If these investors look into the deeper depth of trading and trace back a couple years ago, they would see the trend in bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies market and see that it is normal to constantly fluctuate so if you have invested a lot on these coins know that it is better to invest them for long term than short term trading because you would realize you will gain profits but for longer term.
110  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: BEST ICO for 2018 on: March 16, 2018, 08:20:14 AM
Try the GES or Galaxy eSolutions, I think this ICO has potential to be huge when they will be live in the market. It's project is to consolidate the blockchain and hopefully evolve into an ecosystem wherein they use the marketplace platform to resolve issues regarding the electronics industry. If you find time to go on their site and check what they could offer for the people, it is quite beneficial actually. And I think would be one of the best ICO's if it'd be successful.
111  Economy / Economics / Re: Would you still use bitcoins if the price would be stable? on: March 15, 2018, 01:40:21 PM
I am pretty much interested to know how many people here uses bitcoin because of it's system, because of the anonymous and the security it provides, and because of the fact that it is really easy to transact over the internet, and there's no one who can just block your account(unlike paypal, a platform that provides an easy way to pay over the internet, but you rely on PayPal to keep your account open).

So, are you guys using bitcoin because of it's nature, or because it's a financial tool of making money?

Honestly, I am using bitcoin for making more money since I know that i can earned more money through this. We all use bitcoin because we want to profit more and to earn more money.

I agree, because for now I am using bitcoin to gain profit to save for the future. Since my country does not accept yet bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies as a form of payment, I just feel like it would be the right time to save a couple of these coins so once I am able to use it according to what its purpose is then I'd have enough savings to use it for. And I do send money using bitcoin to my relatives living in the province too, so in a way I feel like I am using it for what its nature is.
112  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do you encourage friends and family to invest in crypto? on: March 15, 2018, 12:16:06 PM
I remember myself when I first started trading, I was so eager to tell almost everyone I come across with or even talk to randomly what I do and I begin telling them how I've come about with cryptocurrencies. But there are some who do not believe in everything I say, like at first my father did not believe in these digital coins and thought it would be just like the ponzi schemes wherein you need to find some downline and so on and so forth but I prove myself wrong when I got a huge profit when bitcoin went up last year; then he believed me. And I don't encourage my friends and family to invest in the cryptocoins however I tell them what I have been doing lately and it is really up to them if they invest or not and should get to know the cyptocurrencies first before jumping in the bandwagon.
113  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: For how long will bitcoin exist on: March 14, 2018, 01:43:08 PM
That is still unpredictable, no one still knows up to when bitcoin will exist because its existence depends on the demand and usage of bitcoin itself. If no one will use bitcoin anymore, of course it will depreciate its price until it will be gone for good.
114  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Are you afraid of hackers? on: March 14, 2018, 12:44:37 PM
Yes of course I am afraid of hackers and I don’t know what to do to protect myself from them because I feel like keeping my private keys safe with me is still not wnough security or even putting a 2fa feels like not really that safe. I fear that one day these hackers might be able to get the information we have kept even if it is in a 2fa mode.
115  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Bounties - how do they work? on: March 13, 2018, 12:19:54 PM
Bounty campaigns are like signature campaigns in this forum, the only difference is that only limited participants can join in the campaign but the strategy is the same. It is a form of advertisement through the projects of some innovative people and ways that could gather a start up money for their projects. It's kind of easy to join and know how it works if you read a lot, and basically it will be found in this forum.
116  Economy / Economics / Re: Beliefs about money and wealth on: March 13, 2018, 10:55:57 AM
I believe in to make money, you need to have a great idea where nobody ever thought off and in order to be rich you have to be streetwise than everyone around you; that is if you are in a business. I've read about the book too but I still have not finished it until now, probably it is because I personally believe that becoming rich, a person must have focus and driven to what he wants to do in his life. Like for example focus on a goal to become let's say a millionaire. What are the things you need to do to achieve that with little or no money? Of course you work hard for it, no matter what you go through, what job you take and save up.
117  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Do people actually buy coins with real life money? on: March 12, 2018, 03:18:36 PM
Yes there are still people who buy coins with real life money, but they would have to process them through some exchange site to buy coins. I know a lot of people in my country who does this, even keeps buying bitcoins and ethereum when the market is red. And I think its fine because they do that to invest their savings money.
118  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why People Can Not Believe Bitcoin on: March 12, 2018, 12:55:46 PM
People don't believe in bitcoin most probably because of its price now. I mean if I were a person with no interest of the new technologies or know nothing about trading then I would not believe there is such a coin on the internet that could make me profit more than what I can profit from the bank itself. Most of these people who don't believe them are ignorant and doesn't know anything about digital currencies.
119  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How to trade when the dip keeps dipping? on: March 11, 2018, 06:19:43 AM
If that’s the case then I think you should buy everytime it dips down to divide the amount you bought the coins in. And it wouldn’t be too much losses if it dips down more. That’s what I usually do if I have a new coin I wanted to buy.
120  Economy / Economics / Re: Would you still use bitcoins if the price would be stable? on: March 10, 2018, 02:08:05 PM
Yes I have been using bitcoin because of its true nature, in fact that’s what I have been telling my family and friends who wanted to know about bitcoin. Spreading the knowledge would also lessen the ignorance of some and would not think bitcoin is a scam ponzi scheme. I am even thinking of purchasing my airline ticket through bitcoin but I am still doing a research on what airlines accept bitcoin or the like.
